Such an unexpected treat! The castell has been rebuilt but a lot of it is original. There are exhibits with many items dating back all the way to Roman times. There is a tour but only in German. The restaurant on site was also great.

Beautiful! I love the idea of the game room. You can play some games and enjoy your stay. Everything is presented really nicely, and it's so clean and tidy. The tavern offers delicious food and nice vegetarian options.

This is very clean place to visit with historical meaning and nice to landscape for professional photographers. Next to it is a Casino but more useful for ordinary people is safe parking place near the building which makes you more comfortable to go for a walk around , enjoy the view or even Bad itself.

This was one of our favourite experiences in Frankfurt. Walking around and tasting all the different natural water fountains. We came all the way from Australia to see this and weren't disappointed. It's all completely free too & a beautiful little Park with free parking close by. Sad that one of the contains was closed. Otherwise, 5/5

Nice park with lots of trees and a pond. There is a stage by one end where you can listnen different bands to play. There is a good mini golf play area there, also a playground and several cafes where you can eat and drink.

Wonderful park, very well preserved from the Wilhelmine empire under which Bad Hamburg benefitted from imperial patronage and experienced a boom period. Lots of beautiful monuments, a number of them inspired or commissioned by Emperor Wilhelm II.

I very much appreciate this beautiful park. It provides a relaxing place to walk around surrounded by many tall trees and also has very interesting history / gem to it; each mineral spring water fountain has unique flavor caused by different minera contents. If you go deep into the park, it gets quieter and if you are quiet and lucky, you can see some beautidul German squirrels.

Lots of vendors, nice lights and atmosphere, very very crowded this Sunday evening.

Nice gift where you buy entrance tickets which are guided. We toured the imperial apartment. Cost 9 pp and lasted 45 minutes. Tours start at the top of the hour. The outside gardens are free to visit.

I had a wonderful time at the park! The cleanliness and beauty made it a pleasant experience. It's interesting that I had to watch out for slugs. they can be quite numerous in some areas. A long walk in such a lovely environment has been refreshing. I'd like to visit again!

Very lovely old town with and amazing Cathedral

We got there about an hour before closing so we missed the guided tour. We did climb the tower, which was very cool. Then we started to go through the free exhibit area where we thought we would have a 1/2 hour to see. But, for some reason, they decided to close 20 minutes early. That was very disappointing.

Beautiful! Visited Homburg for the Christmas Market and having the Schloss as a backdrop simply added to the magic. Worth visiting any time of the year but the holiday season really makes it special.

Enjoy the park, the little pond, the vivid colours of the orangerie. Like the view of the countryside from the terrace then take a break in the cafe just at the entrance with tables in front to the giant Cedar tree.

Perfect day for families. Often there are artisanal crafts people around where you can either watch or participate and make dies or plastic free beeswax paper for luncheons, or weave baskets. Thee are animals and traditional foods galore. And the mediaeval buildings fro all over hassia are an added bonus. We come here often with the family. Highly recommended.

Good exhibition of historical houses and buildings from Hessen area, the history of the towns and especially stories of the people living in the houses in the past, before the buildings being relocated and preserved in the park. There are also employees and volunteers presenting in random stations, either explaining the history of the displayed items, or acting, or demonstrating how the job being done in the past, such as black smith, etx. If you are a person enjoying reading the history and explanations in the exhibition, then please make sure you plan a whole day there!

Hessenpark is truly a fascinating open-air museum! I spent almost 6 hours here and still couldn’t get enough — I will definitely come back again. With its charming historic houses, beautiful nature, and authentic atmosphere, it really feels like stepping back into the 16th–17th century. For anyone who loves history and nature, this is absolutely one of the must-visit museums in Hessen.

Here is an open air museum for Hessen region historical life style. I like it a lot. One can spend a good time not only visiting museum but also for the landscape.

Fantastic park about history and great shops and food to explore

Visited the opening weekend of the 2023 Weihnachtsmarkt. Very nice small-town market with mostly local handmade items. The park is an open-air museum with dozens of restored Hessian buildings - quite a lot fun any time of the year, but be sure to dress for the weather.

We loves our visit here. So many beautiful buildings, scenery and very interesting to learn about the history of Hessen. The staff is super friendly! The staff from the restaurant closest to the playground were excellent. The waiter was very helpful and nice. The manager of the restaurant was welcoming and even made my son a balloon elephant when he was crying. It made my son’s day. The playground is wonderful! So much to do and well made. Highly recommend for a nice day trip outside of the city.

We came here to have a nice dinner for our anniversary and Golfhaus did not disappoint. The surroundings are beautiful. The service was incredible and so was the food. The portions are great, you don't leave hungry, but you also don't leave feeling like you've over ate. We will be returning for sure. Keep it up.

My boyfriend and I went here for a lovely evening. I’m a non-native German speaker and my boyfriend speaks English; despite this the staff was super kind and jovial. The atmosphere was very friendly and the food was spectacular. If you’re looking for a nice place to spend a great night out, you’ve found it.

We visited for Valentine’s Day dinner. Top food, but more importantly excellent service! (Which is rare in Germany). The Ambience and staff make way for an excellent evening where you can relax and enjoy without breaking the bank too! Many places were ripping people off on Valentines Day but not this one! We enjoyed our evening at the restaurant. The location is good and it has a good ambience, outdoor seating area is nice. I’ve been here twice and both time I was happy with my fish dish. Other guests come here more often but they were a bit disappointed about their meal that evening and the service was too slow. Therefore i reduced one star.

Average food, below average service, long wait, not worth it. We really wanted to like it but it was a huge disappointment. If you’re local - you’ll be treated differently, as in nicely. Not the best way to attract new customers.

A very nice place to dine in. Italien restaurant locatedin the heart of Bad Soden. Very delicious food and very friendly service. Recommend to reserve in advance because it is a well visited restaurant. Prices are a bit expensive but once a while it is good to enjoy. Cheers.

If you are visiting Bad Homburg this Restaurant is a must.Taverne Kavala gives you Nostalgia, Atmosphere, service and feel good factor. Aah, the food very special, i had the whole Seabass with vegetables and rice it was awesome.

Asked for some fries or chips to nibble on with my beer and got a few diced potatoes and a bowl of tzatziki sauce... 😂 Place is overpriced as for example the tzaziki sauce (pictured) itself was 5€ and nothing special. Food that we ordered was also overpriced and honestly nothing bland... Another overpriced restaurant due to location in Bad Homburg. Shame.

Fairly good fare at this restaurant. My pizza was quite nice, great cheese on it. The Gnocchis were good, but as a dish it is not really balanced, a salad on the side would have been welcome. The service was very friendly, lots of smiles. We did not have to wait much at all, it was efficient.

We were disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. Our food order was incorrect twice, and one of the spoons brought to the table was very dirty. In addition, the waiter took my card from my hand and attempted to swipe it several times, which ended up blocking it. This was especially upsetting as it was our last night in Bad Homburg.

Was in town for a tennis tournament and ate there twice. Being raised Italian I can honestly say this restaurant is probably the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to in my adult years (and I’m 65) welcoming staff… everyone greets you ..… the fish .. the pasta choices .. the appetizers.. even the bread and oil is fantastic. Reasonable prices and a great atmosphere. Sit outside if you can. Our server both nights was a gregarious Hungarian native who made our experiences one my fiancé and I will never forget..between our limited German and Italian and his much appreciated attempt at English he was able to suggest what menu items to order .. all were fantastic. Excellent wine (Chianti). Desserts and cappuccino are the real deal .. and grappa to top off the night . . classy crowd … dinner served at a leisurely but not overly long pace … We will be back again next year when the tournament rolls around again!

This is an outstanding restaurant. The staff is incredibly kind and generous. The service is prompt and efficient. Saying that the food is delicious is understatement. While it offers a fine dining experience, the place is quite relaxed and comfortable. We visited with two young kids, who are difficult to keep on one place, but the staff didn't think this was a bother at all. I highly recommend visiting and you most likely will not want to go to any of the restaurants in town

We had lunch and sat outside in the sun. The personnel was fantastic and the food absolutely delicious. I tried the Flammkuchen and it was superb.

Coffee itself has so good taste. All the coffee drink with milk comes always with perfect temperature and foam. I usually take them away but even in that short interaction i can feel how nice service provider this lady is. It might seem a bit pricy but once you try their drink, you know it isnt.

You can drink not only cold coffee but also cold brews. I’m very happy to drink in in summer.

A very solid coffee prepared meticulously by someone who clearly cares about the product. Snacks and cocktails are also on offer. Great experience and fair prices, hard not to recommend.

Never underestimate a small cafe. This cafe is equipped with White Eagle Espresso machine and as for the coffee bean, they use various beans from various third wave coffee roasteries. I had delicious and velvety Cappuccino with correct milk temperature as well. The coffee goes very well with the creamy milk. The espresso is in the direction of traditional dark roast of italian espresso, hence the bean is their own house blend. The barista is very talented and very polite too.
