Art museum
Museum Wiesbaden is a prominent cultural institution in the heart of Wiesbaden, Germany. It houses a diverse range of exhibits that cater to various interests. The museum's three wings feature collections of local history, art from the 19th and 20th centuries, antiquities from the House of Nassau, and an impressive array of zoological specimens and fossils.
I recently visited the Wiesbaden museum and was blown away by the amazing exhibits! The museum seamlessly blends natural science and art, offering something for everyone. Highlights included the stunning crab and lobster exhaust, fascinating furniture exhibit, and breathtaking art collection. The museum's modern facilities, friendly staff, and unique gift shop make it a must-visit destination for families, couples, and solo travelers. _Tip:_ Plan to spend at least two or three hours exploring to get the most out of your visit!

A must-visit in Wiesbaden! Museum Wiesbaden is a unique and inspiring place that beautifully combines art and natural history under one roof. Everything is well-organized, informative, and even interactive in parts. Perfect for families, art lovers, or anyone curious about the world. Definitely worth a visit when you’re in Wiesbaden!
Lovely M — Google review
An extremely diverse museum! Ranging from animals, nature, and physics, to jugendstil and expressionism! It even had some contemporary art, and paid tribute to female artists. At the time of visiting there was a great exposition on bees going on. Combining history and art to give a full experience to all audiences.

Nice museum. Good for kids. Not much local history. Lots of nature exhibits
TravelingDave — Google review
Museum Wiesbaden offers an impressive dual experience: Art collection (permanent): Spanning from 12th‑century Old Masters to contemporary art, with standout sections in Jugendstil (Art Nouveau, Neess collection), Classical Modernism (100+ works by Alexej von Jawlensky), and post‑1945 abstract and Fluxus art . Natural history (“Aesthetics of Nature”): Four themed rooms exploring form, color, movement, and time—featuring thousands of specimens, fossils, butterflies, birds, and interactive displays . Plus rotating special exhibitions connecting art, science, history, and culture.

It was a night filled with unforgettable hits, expertly delivered by a remarkable quartet serenading the audience. Their performance was superb! The venue itself was also lovely, perfectly complementing the musical atmosphere created by Imagine Dragons.

This is a lovely historical building beside the park in weisbaden. The restaurant attached is not cheap however the food and service was excellent. Just remember that the city charges 5 euro per day (city tax) to stay in a hotel.
Stephen L — Google review
It’s an historic building with beautiful interiors. I am glad to visit such an historic building!! Blessed feeling !
Jhanvi M — Google review
This beautiful building, although it doesn’t look like a casino (closed during Easter weekend), is detailed with such stunning dome shaped ceiling, and grand lobby that it was worth the visit nonetheless. The restaurant in the building was open and has good rating. Right outside this building, you can enjoy a nice walk in the beautiful park like setting with lake.
Rose Y — Google review
Visiting the Kurhaus Wiesbaden was the highlight of my day! Historic building in a great city. It was awesome to play roulette with such an interesting group of people. Recommend you check hours and dress code. Entire staff was friendly. Will be back.
Mark O — Google review
Whatever the old purposes maybe. The reason why it's famous now is because of exhibitions and the Casino. The Casino there is definitely one of the biggest in Germany and make sure you are dressed well if you intend to pass inside. Fun too of you are drunk and around this place just go inside to use the toilet. It comes handy trust me

The best place to relax…., just take a mat at a sunny day and chills there. Don’t forget to bring coffee and some snacks.
Yin T — Google review
Very well accessible, by bike, hike or by road with a car, nice view and historical marks. As I have been told there is actually a long short wall somewhere nearby over the vineyards, where you can see the whole city, as the forrest and trees actually blocks the view from the Neroberg.
Vedran D — Google review
Definitely recommend 👍 this place one of the top attractions and hanging out places within the burden of the scenic beauty from the top is also amazing also the George and small architectural joints through your way on mesmerizing. Also the connectivity to neroberg is super easy From Wiesbaden Hauptbahnhof 🚉 using bus 🚌 1 and get off at the last or second last stop. The walk to the top of the hill is steep but not too difficult. You can also take the train to hilltop if traveling doing summers because the drain does not operate from November till March. You can also plan you will be there at that sunset or sunrise for some amazing pictures of the view. Carry some food, drinks 🍷 for a small picnic. There’s also a Café and restaurant at the top of the hill however it was closed when we went.

Neroberg is a hill very close to the city center. It has a temple, a restaurant where they serve locally produced wine, Nerbergbahn, plenty of place for kids to play -including Kletterwald, a small pond and a Russian Church. All are lovely and worth a visit. One can easily spend half a day here.
Padmini S — Google review
If you want to have a great view of Wiesbaden then go to the neroberg. You can see over all of Wiesbaden. There is an small tram that goes all the way up. Its fun to ride it, i would suggest to take the standing places at the back if you have the stomach for it. It takes you up in a steep climb. On the Neroberg is a restaurant, a russian orthodox church, swimmingpool and a nice view.
Kent V — Google review
Nice place to spend weekend with family. Toy train and the dirt trail back is really nice. Train operates from March to October only. On top of the hill, you can enjoy the food at the restaurant or a swim at opel bad. Visit the Russian church. One can take the train, or car or walk all the way. People come here for pre wedding shoot as well. There is kletterwlad for young ones.

Kurpark, also known as "Spa Park" in German, is a picturesque public park located in the heart of Wiesbaden, Germany. Established in 1852, this English-style landscape park boasts a serene lake where visitors can rent boats and a striking 6-meter tall fountain. It is often hailed as the most stunning park in Wiesbaden and offers a tranquil retreat from city life with its lush gardens, charming sculptures, and peaceful walking paths.
A beautiful well maintained, huge park in the Center of the city. Very nice place to have a good and peaceful walk. The boats are functional during the summer. There are many places to sit and relax. Summer, autumn or winter you will always enjoy a walk here.

Kurpark is a wonderful park located in the city of Wiesbaden. I love walking in the park everyday. It brings me joy, rest and peace every time. The variety of flowering trees and fauna is awesome. Oh I forgot to mention a few lakes and creeks you would find there as well. If you are in the Wiesbaden area do not miss the opportunity to take a walk and you will become convinced that you will be having the greatest opportunity to walk in the best park the city of Wiesbaden has to offer.

This park was a highlight of my trip to Europe. It is stunning and filled with people who are enjoying life. The beer garden set- ups where you can get food and drink are such a nice addition. The Casino is pretty. Keep walking and you reach the city alleys of hundreds of shops and restaurants.
Rachael P — Google review
Peaceful park directly behind the Kurhaus. Beautifully landscaped, serene park built around a lake. Many trees have identifying labels. Ducks and pigeons in large volumes have found the Kurpark home. The spa park of the Hessian state capital Wiesbaden was laid out in 1852 in the style of an English landscape garden. It extends over an area of 75,000 m² in the valley of the Rambach from the Kurhaus in the city center ( Kureck ) to the center of Sonnenberg . From the fenced spa park area, the spa complex leads through the Rambachtal with another pond. The Aukammtal flows into the Rambachtal. The Kurpark and the Rambachtal are bordered on the sides by Sonnenberger Straße in the north and Parkstraße in the south. On the slopes around the Kurpark, there are large villa areas from the Gründerzeitout. The regularly planted flower bed by the pond was replaced by an easy-care bush rose field. The flowering splendor of the rhododendron population has been suffering from bud infestation for years. Only the numerous magnolias enchant the Kurpark with a sea of blossoms at the beginning of April. Final take ...Go wander the paths, sit on a bench, feed the birds and reflect on the beauty and elegance from days gone by Recommended 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Well, this park is just lovely! Ducks, birds, and so many glorious sounds from the wildlife, calling this home. Right in Weisbaden, so easy access to so much. Pretty paths, benches to relax. I noticed everyone there, was just soaking in the beautiful serenity of this park. The ducks was quite entertaining to watch..could sit there all day 🦆 loved it

The Germans know how to make a kurpark! We loved visiting the local city parks when we have traveled in western Europe and this one was no exception. We got up early due to jet lag and were walking before the city came alive for the day. Our hotel was right near the park so we walked the bowling green with the pretty statues and fountains. I’m a garden gal and the plants and layout was just lovely! There was a wide and level walking and biking trail that is ADA accessible. Most of the other people up that time were locals getting their exercise by jogging, biking or walking the dog. It was a very safe place—no vagrants, hardly any trash or tagging. No bathrooms open though. Many of the trails were along the houses which were extremely beautiful and well-kept which added to the ambiance of the park.

A green oasis in the centre of Wiesbaden. No matter the season, there's always beautiful nature to experience and get inspired by, as you walk on the park's well kept paths. My favorite park in Wiesbaden.

Historical landmark
Nerobergbahn Wiesbaden is a historic water-powered funicular railway that has been operating since 1888. It stands as the oldest water-propelled railway in Germany and one of the few in the world still using this unique propulsion system. The charming cable car offers a picturesque journey to the hilltop, providing spectacular views overlooking Wiesbaden. Visitors can enjoy a ride on two distinctively colored carriages and explore attractions such as St.
I loved the experience, the outdoors scenery, and how calm and peaceful this place was. We took the little “train” shuttle there and it wasn’t a bad deal, saves you a lot of uphill walking. Make sure to bring a map or use the All Trails app because you might get lost in the trails especially if you don’t speak German and go solo. We used the premium version of all trails and we were able to go around the whole trail even without service.

Top of the mountain is a very nice place for a picnic. The ride was pleasant! Try to get an outside standing spot because the cart is hot inside. Overall a very nice experience.

It was a nice scenic quick trip up the hill. Next time we will ride up and walk the trail through the forest back down. I enjoyed the tiny museum as well.

The Nerobergbahn in Wiesbaden is an excellent choice for a unique and memorable experience. Great value for money: The ticket price is incredibly reasonable for the enjoyment it provides. Unique and historic: As a water-powered funicular, it's a fascinating and rare piece of engineering that adds a special charm to the ride. Stunning views: The panoramic vistas of Wiesbaden and the surrounding area from the top of Neroberg are absolutely beautiful and well worth the trip. Spa
Located in the historic spa town of Wiesbaden, Germany, the Kaiser-Friedrich-Therme is a luxurious thermal bath that pays homage to the city's ancient founders. Built in 1910 in Art Nouveau style and adorned with a 4-million-euro mosaic, this establishment offers a variety of amenities across its 1,450 square meters.
The entrance was tricky to find as Google Maps was taking us to the wrong side. If you’re in the outdoor shopping area where Google Maps took us follow it to the next intersection and at the light go left up and around until you see the larger gated entrance. This facility is all nude. Only towels allowed in certain areas but well worth it once you get past being naked. The steam rooms, saunas, cold and hot pools made for a very relaxing couple hours.
Danny M — Google review
🛁 The Kaiser-Friedrich-Therme is a beautiful spot for relaxation! The historic architecture adds so much character, with elegant details that make the experience feel special. 🏛️ The thermal baths are soothing and well-maintained, though it can get a bit busy at times. Still, it’s a great place to unwind and take in the stunning surroundings. 🌿
Brian M — Google review
What an experience! Very beautiful inside interior almost like being in the ancient Roman times. I very much enjoyed the facilities of the Aukammtal a day prior (on Monday) but Kaiser-Friedrich was my favorite because of its beauty and uniqueness. I found Kaiser-Friedrich smaller but also much less crowded and more tranquil. I visited both on the women’s day. The male staff in Kaiser was less intrusive and discrete (while a lot of male staff walking around in Aukammtal). The price was 15 eur in Kaiser with 2.50 eur for each extra 15 min. The Aukammtal was 25 eur for the unlimited time. The Aukammtal had many food options while Kaiser has a smaller bar. The Aukammtal is bigger and have facilities outside which is also lots of fun. The Kaiser had very hot baths where in the Aukammtal it was not very hot. Both great places, but in the end I love the Roman history and the beautiful interior won my heart. The only wish is that there were men’s and women’s days or hours more frequently. Having a mixed bath is not my thing so it’s sad that I have to wait for a week to visit again.

The water is beneficial for the treatment of rheumatism and other orthopedic diseases, as well as for general health. Swimsuits are prohibited in this area 🫣

Top! Fantastic experience, the venue is astonishing, we booked 3 hours and a massage and I wished we booked more time. Massage could have been a bit stronger but the experience and variety of saunas was amazing
Ela K — Google review
This is the perfect oasis of relaxation and tranquility in the beautiful city of Wiesbaden. Visiting Kaiser-Friedrich-Therme is like stepping back into Roman times with its opulent décor and architecture. The beautiful facility offers a serene and relaxing environment. The friendly staff, clean amenities, and quaint size enhances the overall experience. This is the perfect ambiance for unwinding and rejuvenating after a long day of work or sightseeing. Well priced for the experience. For those who are new to the German notion of Freikörperkultur, bathing attire is not allowed in the spa. On some days the facilities are coed, but Tuesday is ladies only. Don’t forget to bring your own towels and a water bottle.
Lei B — Google review
Very nice thermal complex with several thermal pools, some saunas and one steam bath. Both the Aufguss in the sauna and the salt scrub in the steam bath were lovely. We visited on Eastern Sunday and it was not very crowded. As customary in Germany it is a textile free bath only (no swimming suits allowed). Only downside is that they are extremely strict with the time - we paid for 3 hours, exited the place (after showering and changing) a couple of minutes late and got to pay 2.5eur for an extra 15 minutes.

Kochbrunnen is a renowned hot spring in Wiesbaden, known for its open-air fountain located on a charming public square. The spring emerges at a scorching 66°C and has been recorded since the 14th century. The water is filtered through a processing plant before being channeled to the square, where visitors can also find a drinking water fountain under a Neo-Baroque pavilion.
Wonderful to experience the natural hot springs in the middle of the City. They said it's healthy to drink the water in a tiny quantity.

This park offers several picturesque spots, perfect for capturing memorable photos. It's a pleasant green space, ideal for leisurely walks with pets or simply soaking up the sun. A central fountain adds a unique touch, though its specific purpose remains a bit of a mystery. The park's location is a major plus, nestled within a beautiful area showcasing stunning architecture. You'll also find a wide array of dining options nearby, making it convenient to grab a meal or drink. Essentially, it's a convenient, multi-purpose location where you can enjoy a bit of nature and easily access other amenities.

very pretty, the opera house is real pretty from the inside. But the snacks during halftime are too expensive... Additionally I personally think that these modern interpretations aren't of to much quality. They embarrassed themselves. They played random animal videos with gold glitter as the background. In the Opera I visited one singer wore a 10 euro amazon jumper with Egyptian pharaohs on it. This didn't fit the theme at all. He was some henchman in "papageno"...

St Elizabeth's Church

Orthodox church
Sights & Landmarks
St Elizabeth's Church, built in 1855, is the only Russian Orthodox church in the city and is known for its striking gilt domes. Situated atop Wiesbaden's Neroberg hill, it offers a breathtaking view of the city. The church was constructed by Duke Adolf of Nassau as a tribute to his late wife, Grand Duchess Elizabeth Mikhailovna of Russia. The church also houses her grave and is surrounded by the largest Russian cemetery in Europe outside of Russia.
My recent visit to the Russian Orthodox Church of Saint Elizabeth in Wiesbaden was nothing short of magical. The adventure began with a charming ride on the Nerobergbahn, a historical funicular railway that added a nostalgic touch to the whole experience. As the train ascended, the panoramic views of Wiesbaden unfolded before my eyes, setting the stage for what was to come. Upon reaching the top, the sight of the church took my breath away. Its golden domes glistened under the sun, standing majestically amidst the lush greenery of Neroberg hill. The exterior alone was awe-inspiring, a perfect blend of architectural splendor and historical significance. Stepping inside the church was like entering a serene, sacred realm. The interior was adorned with stunning icons and frescoes that radiated a sense of peace and spirituality. Each piece of art told a story, reflecting the rich heritage of the Russian Orthodox tradition. The atmosphere inside was calm and contemplative, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. One of the highlights of my visit was the breathtaking view from the hilltop. I could see all of Wiesbaden spread out below, a picturesque landscape that seemed to stretch endlessly. The combination of natural beauty and historical architecture created a truly unforgettable experience. Overall, my visit to the Russian Orthodox Church of Saint Elizabeth was an enchanting journey through history, culture, and spirituality. It’s a must-visit for anyone in Wiesbaden, offering a unique blend of beautiful scenery, rich history, and serene spirituality. Highly recommended!

A must-see landmark in Wiesbaden! The Russian Orthodox Church (Russische Kirche) on Neroberg is stunning with its golden onion domes shining above the city. Built in the mid-19th century by Duke Adolf of Nassau in memory of his Russian wife, Grand Duchess Elizabeth Mikhailovna, it’s not just an architectural gem but also a moving historical site. The interior is richly decorated with traditional Orthodox icons and frescoes, creating a peaceful and reverent atmosphere. Surrounded by a beautiful hillside and with panoramic views of Wiesbaden, this church offers both cultural and historical depth. Highly recommended for anyone interested in history, architecture, or a serene spot to reflect."

Die Ente was such a place for me: a name, an image from childhood, associated with special occasions, with quiet elegance, with something deeply admired before it could be fully understood. Now, decades later, I returned. And this visit became more than a dinner — it was an experience in which memory and the present met, not sentimentally, but clearly, precisely, and gently. A Room That Opens Like a White Piano What struck me first was the cocoon the dining room creates. It unfolded for me like the form of a grand white piano — bright, open, and harmonious. There is a deliberate rhythm to how the space is composed. The tables are placed like celestial bodies, orbiting in calm symmetry, with a balance that is more felt than seen. The charismatic, sophisticated staff move within this constellation not as conventional servers, but as part of the spatial composition — with quiet assurance, never intrusive, always present. A Pause, Even Without Time That evening, we didn’t have time for a full tasting menu — but that didn’t diminish the experience. On the contrary, choosing à la carte made it more focused, more intimate. The sublime risotto I ordered was seemingly simple, yet full of depth: gently aromatic, restrained yet perfectly calibrated, rich in flavor without overwhelming the senses. It didn’t try to impress — and that’s exactly what made it so compelling. A dish that didn’t perform, but spoke — softly, clearly, and with confidence. Hospitality as Relationship What I appreciated most was the way the house approaches service. When the trolley arrives — whether with cheese, digestifs, or sweets — it never feels ceremonial or staged. It is an invitation. A gesture of trust and hospitality. Etiquette here isn’t performance — it’s care. This form of service reveals a deep sense of respect: for the guest, for the craft, for the moment itself. It’s not about spectacle. It’s about relationship.Despite its refinement and elegance, Die Ente does not feel distant. On the contrary, it feels familiar — not because it hasn’t changed, but because it has evolved without ever losing its essence. The feeling of being welcomed doesn’t come from words, but from atmosphere, attentiveness, and a discreet, steady hand. This quiet, highly valued charm makes Die Ente more than a Michelin-starred restaurant. It is a place where you, as a guest, feel seen, understood, gently cared for. Where memory and the present don’t clash, but resonate. A restaurant that remains true to itself — and for that very reason, can be discovered again and again, each time anew.

We were there for a business dinner. The food was extraordinary, very creative and crafted. The wines were excellent as well! We thoroughly enjoyed it. I would've suggested to have maybe a bit more staff but otherwise it was perfect! Thank you so much!

Great gastronomic experience! The food was amazing and the wine pairing was on point. Service is top notch. I highly recommend for a special dinner.

Overall great experience. Maitre d’ was welcoming and made sure we felt comfortable with menu choices. Also catered towards allergies which was great. Able to choose between 4-7 courses from the tasting menu. Each course was different in style and flavour but complimented each other fairly well. The pumpkin cake desert was my favourite. Sommelier was very friendly and made it easy to pick a nice wine for each course. Service overall was great and made us feel comfortable.

Been there for my girlfriends birthday. We had the 4 courses menu (95 €) We choose to have the menu served with corresponding wines, selected from the local sommelier. This was a big mistake. For three glasses of wine we were charged 65 € each, the price was not mentioned on the menu, we didn't expected so much (our bad, we didn't asked before..), besides, one of the wine didn't really match the food. Other than that, the food was good, well prepared and nicely served, but that's it. Nothing memorable or worth to give the restaurant another visit. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Maybe the tables could be a bit more spaced.

We have gone to the Ente twice this year, and both times we enjoyed the whole experience. I love the outside dining in the summer weather, and it is a great location.

Nestled in the charming Spiegelgasse, CHEZ MAMIE Wiesbaden is a delightful eatery that captures the essence of French cuisine with a local twist. The restaurant boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with white tablecloths and an outdoor seating area perfect for enjoying their exquisite seafood platters and classic French dishes like fried veal sweetbreads and fish soup. Guests have consistently praised the attentive staff who create a welcoming environment, making each visit feel special.
Food was amazing and the atmosphere complemented it beautifully. The service was solid, and we celebrated a friend's wedding there—the overall experience was fantastic. Highly recommend for a special occasion.

Nice place, waiters are nice and polite. Food was good, but not so french in our eyes. Service took forever though. We had oysters as Starters and a Main dish and our dinning experience took over 2 hours. PLUS POINT: they offer Gluten Free bread. But it's definitely not a place to go to if you're in a hurry. But ambience is nice, so if you have lots of free time, this is the place for you

We’re staying in a hotel very close, so we thought we’d go here. Great choice! We had five appetizers to share… each one delicious! And… the bartender is terrific… best whisky sour ever!! Highly recommended!

What a huge disappointment. We got to the restaurant and there was no table prepared for us even though we had booked two weeks in advance. The French lady who received us was very unfriendly and unapologetic about it. She then tried to sit the five of us at a table for four before finally - after we said that this was not okay for us - she pushed another table over. It remained an awkward setup. If I book two weeks in advance I expect that there is a table ready, possibly even a good one.

The food was extremely salty, the duck was not edible. The sauce of the duck, the potatoes, the sauce, made our tongues numb. The foie gras was bad quality. The service was a impolite and a mess, they took our order twice, they didn’t let us try the wine just poured it. Waited 1,5hour for the food. Terrible terrible experience! Pretty interior, at last.

One of my favorite meals ever. I go back time and time again for the small chicken that’s oven roasted served w tsatziki and pomme frittes. Love the warm friendly service but the food. Everything I’ve picked off my friends plates have been amazing. Keep telling myself I’ll order something new next visit but I always go back the the cocoulette (not sure what it’s called in French). As an American subjected to horrible chicken, this is a game changer

I recently dined at Das Goldstein by Gollners and had an outstanding experience. The fine dining cuisine was exquisite, with standout dishes like fried chicken and a decadent dessert featuring ice cream and pancakes. What truly made our visit special, however, was the exceptional service. Our servers were attentive, knowledgeable, and ensured that every need was met with precision. The venue itself is charming, with a warm atmosphere perfect for parties of all sizes. We appreciated the impeccable timing and courtesy of the staff, making us feel valued and cared for throughout our meal. The teamwork of the staff to meet guests needs is unmatched. I wholeheartedly recommend Das Goldstein by Gollners for special occasions or simply a night out with friends and family. With its excellent service, fine dining cuisine, and inviting atmosphere, it's an ideal spot for any celebration. Located in Wiesbaden, Germany, Das Goldstei

(Translated by Google) Wonderful location, excellent cuisine - with a few teething problems in the service The Goldstein is beautifully nestled in the forest - quiet, stylish and pleasantly secluded from the hustle and bustle of Wiesbaden. The generous parking options and the natural surroundings also make it a nice destination for families. Particularly great in summer when children want to get some exercise outside - even when the road is busy, you can keep an eye on everything. We had reserved a table for a small anniversary. Since our group had been reduced from four to three people at short notice, we unfortunately didn't receive a particularly warm welcome. A slightly snarky comment about the late information was not necessary - especially since it wouldn't have changed the table situation. It's a shame, because a friendly welcome makes a big difference. Our waiter also seemed rather distant at the beginning, but over the course of the evening he transformed into a friendly, communicative host. The later the evening, the more the other service staff began to smile - which, to be honest, was what we would have wished for right from the start. Kindness shouldn’t be a “late starter.” The evening was an absolute culinary highlight. The dishes were excellently prepared, creatively presented and tasted perfectly. Regional elements met modern, sophisticated cuisine - down-to-earth but with finesse. I would particularly like to highlight the Kaiserschmarrn: wonderfully fluffy, golden brown, luscious – in third place nationwide in our internal ranking! A small downer: Since I didn't make my main course, I had it packed. It wasn't until I got home that I noticed that the mashed potatoes and the sauce - which I was particularly looking forward to - were unfortunately missing. If I had noticed it on the spot, I would of course have spoken about it. It was probably the packaging, but it's a shame for such a carefully prepared dish. Conclusion: The Goldstein is a wonderful place to enjoy. The cuisine is excellent, the ambience is special - with a little more warm service from the start, the evening would have been perfect all around. We would still love to come back.

(Translated by Google) We spent our anniversary today at Gollners. Unfortunately, our high expectations were largely not met. First about the ambience: The restaurant is a bit hidden in the middle of the forest, but it is beautiful. Both from the outside and from the inside. The service: Unfortunately, the service was the most disappointing part of our stay. The start was actually good, they took our jackets from us in an exemplary manner and served us straight away. Unfortunately that was it. Later I sat in front of an empty beer for half an hour, but unfortunately there was no question as to whether I would like another drink. Mind you, the restaurant was only moderately busy and there were enough staff. My friend actually wanted to eat the sliced meat, but she is pregnant and unfortunately she had to forego it due to the white wine sauce. When the waiter asked whether there was alcohol in the sauce, he simply said: “I can't help you with that, you know. Some people value being alcohol-free during pregnancy, others don’t.” At this point, I expect a restaurant of this class to provide an adequate alternative tip for another comparable meal that is prepared without alcohol. We then both decided on the cheese spaetzle. I could write more, but I don't feel like it at this point... This brings me to the food: We can now only speak for the cheese spaetzle, but unfortunately they were below average. A weak, watery, cheesy sauce. That's it. Portion size was okay. All in all, we would only recommend the restaurant to a limited extent (Original) Wir haben heute unseren Jahrestag im Gollners verbracht.

Nestled along the picturesque banks of the Rhine River, Bastion von Schönborn is a culinary gem in Wiesbaden that offers an exquisite dining experience. Guests can indulge in beautifully presented international dishes while soaking up breathtaking views of the Mainz skyline. The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor seating, including a charming beer garden where patrons can enjoy a diverse selection of beers, regional cuisine, and refreshing cocktails.
Situated on the banks of the Rhine river, this restaurant has a great view of the city of Mainz. There is outdoor and indoor seating available. There is limited free parking close to the restaurant, however there is plenty of paid parking a few meters away. The food is delicious and they have a great variety of drinks from wines to cocktails, as well as your usual nonalcoholic drinks. We came came for dinner on a weekend which naturally made it difficult to find a table. I did call ahead of time to reserve a table, but since it was fully booked, We just took our chance to see if we could find seating. They were able to accommodate us indoors, which was also perfectly fine since you still have a great view from their indoor seating area. Service of the staff was great. Although it could’ve been a stressful situation with so many guests, they were still able to give us a friendly service. The ambience either outside or inside was very pleasant. I love all the beautiful flowers that have been set up around the restaurant.

Very nice spot on the waterfront with a not too complicated menu. We had lunch (fresh local asparagus, salad) which was decent and well-prepared, albeit a bit simple. I would have liked to see a bit more creativity on the plate, with more exciting combinations. Tables are set in white, the building is nicely restored and decorated - think wood beams on the ceiling and small heavy-looking cannons on the outside terrace. Service was extremely friendly and appropriate. It was a bit too chilly for us to sit outside, otherwise we would have. Seemed like a perfect spot for a drink after work.

The restaurant has a good selection of dishes and drinks. The location is on the edge of River Rhine and is picturesque, with the skyline of Mainz and the Theodore Heuss Bridge. It is near where the Main river joins the Rhine River. It is next to the Museum Castellum. The restaurant is near to lovely walkways to the island. Parking is limited next to the restaurant but there are many parking spaces along the railway and on Rheinufer Street. All day parking is 6 euros, which is good considering that you can spend the whole time walking and relaxing on the island and then dine on this restaurant. The restaurant has extended chairs, sofas, benches abd banana chairs on the beach.

The atmosphere and views are incredible. However, it stops there. Wait staff were polite and helpful but seemed unorganized and overwhelmed. It took a half hour for drinks and another 45-60 minutes for our meal. I understand fully that it was busy, but when my steak came, it was presented well but tasted bland, not worth the money at all. My wife's meal tasted "off" as she said. Her asian inspired dish was not enjoyable to me either. However, we were still hungry and made no complaints to the restaurant. We just will not come back, no big deal.

Dinner with a view! Always a pleasure to stop by. Good food - good wine - beautiful view, facing Mainz. If I had a wish, I would ask for a bit larger selection of open local wine. If it were not raining, it would have been nice to sit outside on the terrasse. Card payment possible, reserving is a good idea!

It’s a very nice location with great views and a summer vibe next to the Rhein. The wait staff was super friendly and helpful. They were offering a vegan curry on the menu and also a vegan dessert. They were also offering Spargel but unfortunately they just ran out before I ordered so I went with the house salad. It was ok but I think it’s not a place with too many vegan choices. Please note, you shouldn’t reserve in advance or expect very long waiting times.

This is a delicious Asian restaurant, which is a mix of Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine. The flavors are incredible and the whole place has a great vibe. They also have a great variety of vegan options. We ordered the homemade lemonades, which were not too sweet but just perfect! The Monk‘s Lunch was a super delicious vegan option and so was Shaolin Bowl. We also ordered spring rolls. You can pay with card or cash and I highly recommend recommend reserving because they are always booked! Also, if you want to sit outside or at one of the tables where you can sit on the ground you should mention that when reserving.

Every once in a while, you walk into a restaurant and feel that someone actually cared. Tokygon is one of those rare cases. The interior is a romanticised version of rural Vietnamese architecture — not authentic, of course, but beautiful in its own way, a kind of dreamscape of wood, lanterns, and atmosphere. It works. The staff are warm, attentive, and friendly without overdoing it. Service flows smoothly, never rushed, never sluggish. And the food? It really does what the name promises: it carries you from Tokyo to Saigon in a single sitting. My wife and I had sushi and the Tokygon fasting menu. Both were absolutely fantastic — carefully prepared, full of flavor, and presented with the kind of precision and care that makes you realise you’re not just “eating Asian,” you’re experiencing a deliberate culinary journey. A family menu with fish instead of only vegetarian or meat options would be a very welcome addition to the already strong concept. Five stars, without hesitation. We’ll be back — and next time, I’ll bring an even bigger appetite.

Lumen is a popular dining spot located near Marktkirche in Wiesbaden's Marktplatz. It offers a diverse menu and provides a perfect setting for people-watching. Visitors have praised the restaurant for its central location and beautiful views. The friendly staff, timely service, and accommodating nature of the waiters have been highlighted in reviews. While some dishes received mixed feedback, others such as schnitzel and burgers were highly recommended.
This was the best dining experience I've had after traveling to Frankfurt, Cologne, Enschede, and Amsterdam for 3 weeks. The food was beautifully presented and you can taste the quality. Claudia was an attentive and accommodating server. She suggested a local Riesling that was amazing. I was disappointed they ran out of fish when I got there so she suggested the fried tofu, which is something I normally don't order as a meat eater. It was SO GOOD! And the whole 3-course meal was only 19 Euro (available until 2:30 PM). I was so happy with my experience I came back again today for lunch. Claudia remembered me from yesterday and knew that I wanted the fish. She also remembered that I preferred my espresso as decaf. She recommended a different local wine, a crisp Sauvignon Blanc, that was a perfect pairing with my fish. This is a must-try restaurant for their high quality beautiful food, outstanding service, and great view. Thank you for your warm hospitality and kindness, Claudia. I hope you are well appreciated by your managers and they give you a raise ❤️‍🔥

An AMAZING place. I've lived in the city for 8yrs and only recently discovered this place. An outstanding outside environment... there was fresh BBQ prawns and live music of a double bass and piano... in the garden... however they got that there. And best of all; a sweet and well equipped playground. Prices are fair for excellent quality. Reservations recommended as its quite the spot. Also parking is tight too as its well sought after. I will be back.

German food has a bad rap for being bland and heavy on the wurst. Maybe this is true for fast food, but definitely not for fine dining. I am always blown away and the prices are pretty reasonable compared to North America. I started with a garlic soup that had some green in it they couldn't translate. It was very rich and tasty. It had a trout samosas with mustard on the side. For the main I had schnitzel with cranberry sauce, sliced potatoes fried with bacon and a cucumber salad with yogurt and dill. Big portion and very good. My wife had Pickerel (which they translate wrong as pike perch?). It was fresh and didn't have that earthy taste that I dislike with some Pickerel. Beautiful setting and great service.
Ben A — Google review
It started well with attentive service and warm welcoming and ended quite disappointing... One soup was forgotten (?) we had to wait 15min. for it, the other was way too salty with literally one ravioli in it. I understand it is a starter but still costs 10€ for a broth with one ravioli! Main dish was very good. Then we asked for more water and never got it, dessert for 15€ was basically café gourmand but with no coffee, yet overdried chocolate brownie/gingerbread... In the end, there are better restaurants in Wiesbaden in this price range.

Excellent meal and top notch service. Cut my lamb with a butter knife. Goat cheese salad and wintersalat starter - innovative and would get either again. Veggies with main dish superb - possibly indicative of a good vegetarian option (don't remember what was available). Only negative was my wife thought her tuna (catch of the day) was overcooked. Large portions - will return.

We were in Landhaus Diesert as a preparation for our wedding to check if food was good. We already saw it from outside and inside-it is very beautiful, the trees make the terrace elegant. The food we ordered appeared to be great. The waiters are very friendly. We were lucky to get the date for our wedding. The owner Diedert met with us to go through the plan and gave us valuable suggestions. When we realised how picky Diedert was with the service, food and timing, we were reassured that we made a right choice- a person with such high expectations to his work would make everything as he promises it to be. On the wedding day Diedert himself was serving as well and was controlling the whole procession. He can step back if you want to, but he is on top of what he delivers. Food on that day was brilliant, service was great. We could write a long essay, but in three words: it was superb.

You think... hui... i‘m lost in a tiny little village... but there you go: you see the wonderful garden... or you choose to sit in the restaurant which is equipped with ... fully working!!! AC! Hard to find in Germany! The food is great... high class german stuff.... the service is absolutely friendly and has a lot of details to tell about the wine selection! Don’t miss to go there... it’s worth it!

Old German building, stylish restaurant. Tasty food, local wines from the Rhein Main area. Nice fire place with red nose Reindeer Rudolph above it. Good place for company events.

Beer garden
Caspar Garten, formerly known as Sherry&Port, is a delightful bar and restaurant that offers a cozy atmosphere perfect for gatherings with family and friends. With an extensive drinks menu featuring both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, including two types of nonalcoholic beers, it caters to all preferences. The highlight here is the delicious Spanish tapas; patrons rave about the variety available—around ten different dishes for three people—and the server's excellent recommendations enhance the dining experience.
Great place to go with family and friends. Great selection of drinks(beer + wine) and really delicious tapas. The ambiance inside is good and they have a fabulous seating outside with trees canopied and a fountain. Very inviting place and servers are friendly. Only thing was it was a bit slow but they delivered our orders all at the same time. Will definitely come here again.

Excellent restaurant. Service was great. The atmosphere and ambiance was great. I had great company that day. The beers were good. I had nonalcoholic beers and they had two different types. The food was excellent. We had maybe 10 tapas for the 3 of us and they were great. The server made recommendations and all the recommendations were on point. I would highly recommend coming here. Space could be tight, ss, make reservations. I love their drink menu. It looks like a newspaper.

A very atmospheric place. Cosy, beautiful, good choice of drinks. The staff are friendly, and the seats around the fountain are very original.

Fantastic food, prompt, friendly service unheard of in Germany. Wonderful drink menu and an overall true joy. Will definitely be back!

The wait staff were some of the friendliest we've met in Germany and every piece of food we ate was delicious. We know that we'll be going back for much more.

Feel free to use English. Perfect place to have a meal or a drink near the fountain. Foods will be served and drinks are selfservice. They all trust you so much that you can pay when you leave.

4 stars because of the spot next to the fountain. Very pleasant and relaxing, especially on a sunny day! The food is good and staff kind. BUT, we ordered Escalivada, which is a dish typical from my region near Barcelona, and that was just not what escalivada is.

Restaurant
BENNER's Bistronomie is a fantastic restaurant that offers an amazing dining experience. The Chateaubriand, a beautiful and delicious cut of meat, is one of the highlights. The truffle fries are also highly praised by customers. Unfortunately, one customer forgot their takeaway box in the car and felt disappointed. Overall, the atmosphere is great, both inside and outside with options for long evenings or relaxed afternoons.
One of The Best meals I ever had in a wonderful building with amazing service.

Overpriced restaurant. We have tried desserts and truffle pasta. The quality of food is okay, but overall, vegetarian dishes are not good. The food is named fancy on the menu, and ingredients look good, but it tasted less than average. I dont recommend it. There are plenty of other good restaurants around.

Delicious, relaxed fine-dining in a beautiful setting — one the best Spargel mit Wiener Schnitzel ever. Small, but well thought out menu, with an emphasis on seasonal and local ingredients. Highly recommended!

Wonderful meal for my daughter's birthday here. The Chateaubriand was one of the loveliest cuts of meat Ive ever seen (and tasted). She was enamoured with the truffle fries and despondent when we realized shed forgotten her takeaway box when we got back to the car. Great atmosphere, great meal.

Lovely outdoor area and atmosphere for eating, food served immaculately to order and very delicious. Getting wait staff in timely manner can be a challenge, but not horribly so. Will definitely return here.

I had the lentil soup, which was awesome. My husband ordered cognac, which was presented over warm water. Another guest with us had steak tartare prepared/ seasoned table side. Great atmosphere, warm and sofisticated. Customer service was emaculate.

Fine high quality food in an excellent location (the Casino). The staff is very helpful and charming. It’s beautifully decorated and all details are taken care of. Good value for money

The nicest place in Wiesbaden in my opinion. Have been here both during winter and summer months. Super cozy old school atmosphere inside when it’s cold and awesome patio during the warm times. Food is incredible! But the “Perfume Room” is my favorite. So much history. Great for special occasions or just romantic dinners.

Restaurant Orangerie Wiesbaden

Restaurant
Nestled within the luxurious Nassauer Hof hotel on Wilhelmstrasse, Restaurant Orangerie Wiesbaden offers a delightful breakfast experience that is both elegant and inviting. The restaurant boasts a stunning rotunda filled with natural light, adorned with delicate murals and vibrant orange trees that create an enchanting atmosphere. Guests can enjoy their meals surrounded by tasteful decor, including beautiful flower arrangements and a striking chandelier.
I stayed at this hotel 5 days and took the breakfast every day and enjoyed one dinner during my stay. In general, the environment is good, and food is also good and delicious. Maybe the service is not perfect because it seems some interns student there during breakfast time. But be honestly speaking, I like their attitude while I was there. At last, thanks for the service and food you provided during my stay. I will remember here...:)

Transportation in Wiesbaden

Getting around Wiesbaden can be a little daunting if you’re new here. We can help list some of the major public transportation methods if you don’t want to rely on a car.

Frankfurt Airport

International airport
Airport
Frankfurt Airport is a major international airport with convenient transportation options, including two stations for regional and long-distance trains as well as city shuttles. Located in the Rhine-Main region on the banks of the River Main, it serves as an important gateway to the vibrant city of Frankfurt am Main in Germany.
Frankfurt Airport is one of the best airports I’ve traveled through. It’s extremely clean, well-maintained, and efficiently run, which makes for a smooth travel experience even during busy times. The layout is modern and easy to navigate, with plenty of clear signage in both German and English. One thing that really stood out to me was the food – there’s a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, and grab-and-go spots that go far beyond the typical airport fare. Whether you want a quick snack, traditional German dishes, or international cuisine, you’ll find plenty of good options. Security and customs were organized and moved at a steady pace, which I appreciated. There are also lots of comfortable seating areas, duty-free shops, and lounges that make long layovers much more enjoyable. Overall, Frankfurt Airport feels efficient, clean, and welcoming – a place where travel doesn’t feel like a hassle, but part of the experience.

Frankfurt Airport is one of Europe’s busiest hubs, and my recent experience there was overall very smooth. The security check was seamless, with plenty of personnel on hand to guide passengers on what items to remove, which made the process fast and stress-free. The check-in counters open only two hours before departure, which can be a bit inconvenient for early arrivals, but once open, everything runs efficiently. Inside, the airport is well equipped: Ample seating areas for waiting comfortably. Gaming stations for kids, which is a nice touch for families. A wide variety of duty-free shops offering everything from souvenirs to luxury goods. Interestingly, I found chocolates quite pricey, but perfumes and LEGO toys cheaper compared to Helsinki Airport, as well as many German and French stores. A decent selection of restaurants and cafés, catering to different tastes. The only drawback I noticed was the very limited number of water refilling points—I came across only one. For such a large airport with excellent other facilities, this was surprising and could definitely be improved.

The Ultimate Wide-Body Spotting Location! If your passion is catching the biggest aircraft in the sky—the Boeing 747s, Airbus A380s, A350s, and all the heavy wide-bodies—Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is an absolute must-visit. This is a five-star location purely for the sheer volume and variety of "big boys" passing through as the hub for Lufthansa and a major global cargo gateway. Best Spot for Arrivals (The Money Shot): Search for the "Autobahn Viewing Area" or "Luftbrückendenkmal" (Berlin Airlift Monument). This elevated spot near Zeppelinheim puts you directly under the flight path for approaches to the 25L/C runways. You get spectacular, frame-filling views of aircraft on short final. Bring a mid-range zoom (70-200mm) for incredible photos. Parking can be a short walk, but the reward is worth it. Best Spot for Takeoffs (Pure Power): Head to the "Runway 18 Viewing Platform" (also sometimes called "Take-off Site West"). This platform is specifically designed to get you over the fence for clear shots of heavy jets spooling up and thundering down the departure-only runway. The sight and sound of a fully loaded 747 or A340 rotating right in front of you is a legendary experience. Pro-Tip: Check the day's active runways online before you go to pick the perfect spot! This is an essential stop for any serious aviation enthusiast.

Frankfurt International Airport – One of Europe’s Best-Kept Travel Secrets I travel through Frankfurt International Airport every year, and every time it confirms one thing: this airport is in a league of its own. It’s clean, modern, calm, and extremely well-organized—a place where traveling becomes smoother and even enjoyable. Despite being one of Europe’s largest hubs, it never feels chaotic. Instead, there’s a flow, a rhythm, and a structure that just works. What stands out? ✔️ Fresh fruit always available – something that seems small but is so rare and appreciated by frequent travelers like me. ✔️ Next-level bakeries – truly some of the best I’ve seen in any airport around the world. ✔️ Spacious terminals with natural light and plenty of seating. ✔️ Quiet and peaceful atmosphere, even during peak hours. ✔️ A level of care and infrastructure that shows German precision at its finest. It’s the kind of airport where you don’t feel rushed, stressed, or lost. It’s built for travelers—those who move often, those who value quality, and those who appreciate thoughtful design. ⸻ Verdict: Frankfurt Airport might not be the trendiest, but it’s definitely one of the most reliable, refined, and pleasant international airports in Europe. If you travel often, this is the kind of place that makes a difference. A solid 10/10.

Frankfurt Airport is very large and busy, yet the lines move quickly thanks to the professionalism of the police and staff. The airport’s size means you should plan your transfer flights carefully.I think at least 2 hours and 45 minutes is enough time for a comfortable connection. Prices inside are generally high, but the facilities are clean, and the food and drinks are of good quality.
Omer Y — Google review
Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is undeniably Germany's primary international gateway and largest airport. While Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) serves the capital region and is a major hub, Frankfurt actually handles the most passenger traffic and operates as the main hub for Lufthansa and global alliances. For anyone connecting internationally or traveling to other parts of Europe, Frankfurt's size and efficiency make it the crucial transportation center in the German country.
Arunbhaarat — Google review
Decent airport but the security check waiting time is a lot and when you consider the size of the airport it takes a lot of time to get everything in order before your flight! So always plan to reach early when you are are travelling! Also if you are having a connecting flight here, make sure you have a layover of atleast 2.5 hours.
Arnab — Google review
We went for connection between US to India. Nice international airport with almost all international flight connection here. Information: lot of centers with TV on all corners Occupancy: it was a morning so less crowd. Restrooms: Lot of restrooms on every terminal and it’s clean and well maintained Transportation: Monorail between terminals, physically challenged with vehicles Food: between terminals you have Starbucks, Burger King, Falcon (bakery and coffee) good seating to see the flight landing and movement in the runway Rest or seating: there are ample recliner seats and bed to take rest for free in A or B which I have seen Smoking: dedicated area for it
