Pieve Di San Zeno is an area with a rich history dating back to prehistoric times. Evidence of Roman presence can be seen through numerous archaeological finds. The ancient Borgo was situated around the Pieve di San Zeno, about a kilometer north of the present center. Following evangelization in the 4th century, a church called Pieve di Lonato was built along with a small castle and walled houses for defense.

The Ugo da Como Foundation museum offers a comprehensive guide with information on various attractions. Visitors can spend around 50 minutes exploring the mayor's house and an hour at the fortress. They also have the opportunity to benefit from an entrance discount and receive a free illustrated book, which would otherwise cost 8 euros, by presenting their Lombardy museum card. Inside the museum, there are unique artifacts like the world's smallest book. The museum is recommended for curious adults as well as school-age children.

It was one of the most impressive medieval castel I have ever seen 'cause the owners made great job to to create an interior with such rare furniture. And don't forget about the 50 thousand books in the library, it's incredible. The guide speaks excellent English and told me all the information, I found it very interesting. High recommend to visit.

(Translated by Google) Yesterday a wonderful visit that led me to discover the history, culture, experience and personal experiences of a politician who dedicated his life to society and much more about the past of this area. It was a unique experience. I ended the visit with a much broader personal baggage and a sense of pleasure and enchantment for these places that took my speech away, I was so pleasantly stunned and amazed. You can experience all this too... just go to the website where you can find all the information for the visits and the events and workshops they organise. So, my dear readers, you have no excuses and, who knows, maybe we will find ourselves walking together in this magical place.

If you find yourself near Lago di Garda, make sure to take a 20-minute drive to Agriturismo Al Fenil, an absolute treasure that offers a genuine Italian dining experience away from the tourist traps. This charming farmhouse is perfect for families seeking authentic cuisine without breaking the bank. The stunning ambiance and welcoming atmosphere create a delightful setting where both locals and visitors can enjoy their meals in comfort.
An absolute gem if you are at Lago di Garda. Well worth the 20min drive, way better than the overpriced tourist places at the lake. This place is what we expected of dining out in Italy, an experience sadly not easy to find. Great service, one full dining hall with happy, mostly italian crowd. Everyone at ease. Best food we have had in long time. Every dish has a very subtle but distinct kick of flavour, be it the herbs on the carpaccio, the amazing local capunsei or the ragu in raviolini di carne in brodo. Nice variety of very good desserts too. Booking a table for tomorrow for sure!

Unkind and rude.!! Although outside was raining after have done 40 km to get here was been told that there's no table for a single customer. Bad behave and unprofessional.

We couldn’t have chosen a better venue to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment we arrived, everything felt magical. The setting was absolutely beautiful, with every detail thoughtfully arranged to create the perfect atmosphere for such a special occasion. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for, anticipating our needs without ever being intrusive. The service was seamless, the food was exceptional, and the overall ambience struck the perfect balance between elegance and comfort. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the place, and we left with memories we’ll cherish forever. If you’re looking for a venue that delivers not just on quality but on heart, this is it. Special thanks to Nicola and Gabriel for never saying no to any request. Special mention to Mr Dave who added a humor and non stop jokes to the event. Everyone loved him.

Many thanks for the very special Sunday lunch - the 22nd of December 2019 - where we had a very warm welcoming with a characteristic atmosphere given by the setting. The food was just perfect, we had a buffet as a starter, with a great variety, warm and cold, fish, meat and vegetarian options were included. As a main course we had a fantastic risotto with cacio and truffle, I am still dreaming the perfect combination of these flavours on my palate!! We also had as a main, grilled prawns and salmon with the “frittura di pesce”, the quality was impeccable and I can say that I have never had such a light “frittura di pesce” in Italy. To finish this Sunday lunch, we went to a paradisiac room, full of candies, cakes and fruits, where you can choose according to your taste. This Sunday lunch during my stay in Italy for the festive season is definitely a memorable experience, that’s the reason why I am looking forward to coming back very soon!! Thank you so much for every single detail!!

We arrived as a family of 4 on a regular Wednesday night at about 8:30pm. When entering the terrace there were multiple! free tables and our hungry children were so happy! Waiting to be seated we were completely ignored. Finally we could ask a waitress for a table, but she told us the restaurant was “full” - no “sorry”, no “goodbye”, nothing. Her English was really bad though, so probably they just don’t want to host tourists? Extremely disappointed, this is not a restaurant of Italian hospitality or child-friendliness.

Atmosphere service and food was great. Gave four for the food because the gnocchi’s didn’t taste like potato gnocchis to me.
