The Wine Museum of Bardolino is a captivating attraction located in the picturesque town of Bardolino on the shores of Lake Garda, Italy. Established in 1991, this museum offers an immersive experience that delves into the rich history and culture of winemaking in the region. Divided into thematic areas dedicated to different aspects of the wine production process, visitors can explore original exhibits showcasing everything from vineyard cultivation to bottling.
We visited the Zeni Wine Museum one afternoon whilst visiting Lake Garda. It’s a little bit of a walk if you don’t have a car up a hill, but it’s worth the effort. There is a nice small museum all laid out nicely with plenty of information. They also offer an unbelievable 6 free wine samples during your visit. Considering the museum and tastings are free, it’s incredibly generous! They also have a huge shop where you can buy bottles of wine and much more too. If visiting the area, certainly stop by and check it out for an hour, it’s great.

Interesting small museum with free visit and free tasting. It also has a terrace with panoramic view.
Andreea H — Google review
Free wine museum. Free wine tasting. We saw reviews of this place before visiting and decided to stop by. It's a gorgeous site to cycle to, with views overlooking the vineyards in front of the lake. You get to taste 6 wines each for free - there is a selection of white, red and rosé. The bottles in the shop are also incredibly reasonably priced. All of the staff were lovely and happy to describe the wines or give recommendations.
Mehrunnisha K — Google review
Very nice museum, you can have 6 samples (per adult) without any pressure to buy. We wished we could bring them home, taste was amazing and the prices were great.
Giovana B — Google review
A must stop! Super nice free tasting and small museum. The wines are amazing!
Djonathan K — Google review
Beautiful location to visit when you stay at Lake Garda. The museum is free to enter, ofcourse with the intents to go home with an couple of bottles. That's not difficult with the ranges of products here. After the visit to the museum you can get an ticket to free taste 6 of their wines. For some extra you can try the Amarone (i can recommend it!). There are wines in every prices ranges. We visited with our kids. The museum is nice education for them. In de store there is an little play ground. An free wifi for our oldest would be an nice extra. The museum is small en tells al lot of the history. It would be an real upselling to get an guide tour thru the factory or yards.

Very interesting museum. Free winetasting. Fascinating wine cellar. Lovely rooftop panorama terrasse.
Celia — Google review
A wonderful way to buy wine. Before purchasing, you can explore a bit of wine history, taste the wines you're interested in, and thanks to a small kids’ corner, the little ones can stay entertained while you enjoy your shopping experience.

We had walked down from the village of Garda and ended up at Bardolino super hungry. Good stop for food and drink. Considering it was super hot, the Coronas came out in ice bags. Great idea!!! We shared a toasted sandwich, which was delicious. Highly recommend. The only issue they played the same music over and over.

Fabulous Lake Garda! A beautiful lakeside playground dotted with lovely towns, beautiful hotels and places of h is storical interest to tourists for over 2000 years.
Derek W — Google review
Small pebbly beach offering the opportunity to swim in Lake Garda. There's a small cafe further on from the beach offering meals or take-away sandwiches and drinks. Bardalino itself is pretty popular which means finding a parking space other than at the formal car parks can be a challenge. Still, definitely worth a visit if you're in the area

Beach bar at lake Garda offering great drinks and snacks. The waiter was not really friendly and it took some time to get the drinks. Very crowded. At least the view over the lake was amazing.
Axel — Google review
Just visited the restaurant. Food is cheap and satisfying, drinks are just okay and not perfectly mixed. Overall, decent value for money if you’re looking for a casual, budget-friendly spot. Didn’t visited the beach and lake area.

Nice place to stay few hours on the lake Garda. Sunbed for 10€ / day

If you’re going for the sun loungers and lido it’s brilliant. Don’t bother with the food and drink as it’s pretty basic and the service is very slow.

What a beautiful winery. Family treated us very well and made it a great pleasant experience. The wines were very good and the cheese comes from a local farmer in town. A must to stop here. So relaxing and beautiful
Dennis E — Google review
Great wines in a cosy garden. We had the wine tasting with some antipasti. Service was very friendly and the waiter gave us some information about each of the different wines and how they're produced. Grab a taxi or an e-bike for the visit.
Matti V — Google review
Came for the wine tasting and food pairing and we absolutely loved it. The setting is stunning, the service was friendly and personal and the wine and food was of very high quality. I would recommend trying the homemade limoncello also, delish!
Adam S — Google review
Our wine tasting experience was amazing, our host was so knowledgeable about the natural wine making process and the wines we tried. We were so lucky to be the only people there before they close on Saturday (1 November) until April. Sampled 7 amazing wines paired with delicious food, all from or very local to their location, in a beautiful setting. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
Hannah N — Google review
Stopped in for à la carte wine and snacks. We tried the pickled vegetables and meatballs. Everything was delicious. The wine was very good!
Emily W — Google review
We did their simple tasting and we were beyond impressed, we wished we could have stayed longer. The family and servers are incredibly friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The location feels rustic and authentic. We were also permitted to walk around the vineyard with our glasses in hand, with breath taking views of lake Garda from atop the hill. Beautiful organic wines, it was the highlight of our trip.
Ross — Google review
What a beautiful place, we are so happy we went! The wines are truly special, taking you on a journey. They are all organic and produced with traditional methods by passionate wine makers and you can tell. The food with the tasting was great, too. Quite frankly, the zucchini marmalade deserves a 5 star review on its own. The location is beautiful and full of love as well, as is everything here. I highly recommend visiting this lovely place and spending some time, enjoying the wines, food, and beautiful location, you won't regret it.

This is well worth a visit. In a very short time they provide a very informative education on Olive oil and how it is made both now and in the past. They have a few nicely done videos and many museum quality items from the history of Olive oil production. At the end you can sample many items and buy some if you like. Also note that the restroom is outside on the side of the building and they need to buzz you in from the front desk.

While on holiday in lake Garda we found this little restaurant ,down a quieter side street in Bardolino . With tables and chairs set out on the pavement and lovely outdoor lighting it was the perfect spot for dinner , nice and quiet . The food was amazing , the fresh fish from the lake was delicious as were the pasta dishes and desserts . Lovely Bardolino wine and great service from our waiter Sacha. We liked it so much we went back three times during our stay !

Our go to Osteria in Bardolino. There are so many good quality restaurants here, so raising that bar is not easy. Situated next to a wine bar in a very airy, secluded side street, this husband and wife team consistently put out excellent local food of a very high standard. A very good wine list compliments the food here. This is the only restaurant we visit more than once when holidaying in Bardolino. Happy to report our very recent visits resulted in nothing but more plaudits. The monkfish Tagliatelle is easily the best seafood dish I've eaten in all out trips to the Lago. See you again in July 25 Very highly recommended 👌 And, advise you book in advance.

La Piccola Osteria is a hidden gem: in a tourist area but very nice and quiet! Family-run with impeccable cleanliness from tablecloth napkins to cutlery and glasses. Fair prices—great value! And the owner was so kind, making us feel right at home. The spaghetti carbonara? Incredibly good—pasta perfectly cooked! Highly recommend for an authentic, cozy meal.

A highly rated restaurant in the centre of the town, but in a quiet street. We were attracted by the positive reviews and were not disappointed. We visited twice, and were wowed by the food and the service. Absolutely charming. Definitely worth booking in advance. Steaks and pasta delicious.

Lovely restaurant away from the busier areas. Main waiter is awesome and id definitely recommend making a reservation. Recommended dishes are carbonara and beef with balsamic vinegar.we loved it so much we went twice on our 1 week holiday.

Fabulous!! The best meal we’ve had in Lake Garda. The waiter was attentive and so polite. We shared the chicken parfait starter - so rich and lovely. Then Monkfish tagliatelle and lamb ragout tagliatelle- both amazing. For desserts millefeuille with strawberries and amaretto semifreddo - both divine. Don’t understand why more English people don’t eat here - you’re missing something so typically Italian rather than the tourist traps. Grazie mille.

Listen up. This is where you go to get an ice dessert. They are great. I mean it, really great. Dessert glasses as big as a bathtub filled to the brim with good ingredients. They've got your classics covered. Banana split etc. But they also have more advanced stuff. Say, an After Eight dessert that actually tastes like After Eight. Or stuff with baked ingredients or fruit I don't know how to pronounce, or what is. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Also yes.

Amazing gelato next to the waterfront. The tiramisu flavor was delicious! Friendly staff and very responsible prices with extra large scoops of gelato! Highly recommend. 🍨

I had the best gelato in Italy here 7 years ago – and today, after trying gelato in so many other places across Italy, I can still confirm it’s the best I’ve ever had! Must try when you are at Bardolino!❤️

Best ice cream in Bardolino, went for gelato most nights after dinner. Big queue but fast service. Extensive flavours available. Had a sit in lunch a few times too. Lovely helpful friendly staff

Very nice experience, the even had a separate choice for dogs with dog-ice cream and even "Spritz" (apple and carrot mix, made especially for dogs). What a nice idea! The ice cream for humans was wonderful as well , so nothing to add or complain. The staff was very nice, open and helpful. Thanks!

Worst Experience Ever - No Italian Hospitality Coming from Colorado, we would’ve expected a little more hospitality. We came here midday hoping to just order a couple of spritzes before our boat ride, but when they finally arrived about 30 minutes into sitting down, our waiter unfortunately spilled a whole tray of drinks and crisps all over our table, including me and our bags. Apologies were given but after we asked what they would do to somewhat reimburse us for what had just happened. To our very big surprise he then asked us what we would lime to take away and still have is pay for all of it. This wasn’t right in our minds at all so we then asked to see the manager and all he had to say was “This happens all the time, sorry.” Not an ounce of respect that we just got drinks spilled all over us. Place is busy as all get out and drinks that were given to us at the end for free after a little scuffle weren’t all that great, either. Don’t come to this place looking for great service because you’re not going to find it here.

Pizza restaurant
Italian restaurant
Pizzeria Bardolino, located in Bardolino, Italy, is a vibrant restaurant with outdoor seating where customers can enjoy delicious pizzas, pasta dishes, aperitifs, and traditional desserts. This lively establishment has gained recognition for its exceptional pizza-making skills and was even featured on TripAdvisors Traveler Choice list in 2022. When it comes to Italian cuisine, pizza is at the forefront of everyone's mind.
Simply one of the best italian restaurant / pizzerias I’ve experienced in a very long time (and I’m half Italian). We had an amazing prosciutto e funghi pizza that was simply perfect. Fritto misto was incredibly good. Pasta with seafood 5*. Tris di dolci (tiramisu, panna cotta) was also really good. Service was also 5*! Top!
Andrei R — Google review
The service at this pizzeria was genuinely pleasant – the staff was friendly, the service quick, and the welcome drink along with a few small bites at the beginning made a nice first impression. The ambiance is cozy, everything is clean and well-organized, and at first glance, it seems like a place where you’ll enjoy a good meal. However, when the pizza arrived, the overall impression was quite average. It was fine – the dough wasn’t bad, the ingredients were decent, but overall, it lacked something that would make it stand out or make you want to come back just for the food. The flavor was neutral, without much character, and it felt like they were playing it safe, without much passion in the preparation. For a casual evening or a quick bite, it’s perfectly okay, but if you’re looking for a truly memorable pizza experience – you might want to keep looking.

The food is nice, but nothing more. In my opinion, the Bolognese is very mediocre. If you've ever had good Italian food in your life, don't expect too much here.

One of our favourite meals in Bardolino. This place has a lovely atmosphere and is nestled amongst traditional buildings, and nicely set off the Main Street which is always packed with people. We were greeted with prossecco and cured meats and then enjoyed some delicious pizza. At the end of our meal we were also given an entire bottle of limoncello to help ourselves to which was unbelievable! Service was really quick and friendly and I’d definitely come back here.
Aili S — Google review
Very nice pizzeria. Lovely food. Loved the fact that you got a free starter and sparkling wine to begin with and also free liqueur at the end. (A whole bottle!!) And sweets when you pay the bill!

⸻ When you’re in Bardolino, this is the place for your pizza! The location is just a couple of steps from the center, where all the restaurants are located. We ordered the crust pizza shown on the restaurant’s menu photo—Della Casa Carbonara—and another with tuna. Both were excellent! To top it off, we received a complimentary bottle of limoncello at the end. We’ll definitely be coming back to this place!

Amazing pizzas! If you get there early then it's easy to get a table, but if it's after 7pm then it's very busy and there is a wait for tables, especially for eating outside.

Excellent wine museum, with wine making equipment from the last 500 years. Free tasting of their lower priced wines, and their whole range available to buy. If you're walking up to it from Bardolino, be aware that the final kilometre is quite a steep uphill walk.

Had a wonderful tasting experience at Zeni. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating to us bringing our baby and helped us in every way to enjoy the wine and atmosphere. The tasting was well informed and we got to try a variety of styles and varieties from the region. Will absolutely come back again!

We had an amazing time here in Zeni 1870. Great tastings, great wines and on top off that, incredible people and service. A big thank you to every people working there, specially Giovanni at the tasting and Claudia and Rondo in the cellar downstair! You all made the experience even more special!

Wonderful experience. Not to be missed if you are in Bardolino. They have an amazing variety of different wines to try and buy. Don't miss the tasting of the wines beyond the free ones especially the amarome wines. The service is amazing with great staff. They also deliver across Europe, which is great. Giovanni and Francesco were amazing (I hope I wrote the name correctly).

We had a wonderful afternoon, touring and wine tasting at the Zeni winery. If visiting the town of a Bardolino in Lake Garda, it is definitely worth the small walk up to the winery. The wine is delicious, they are generous with their tastings and the employees are also knowledgeable and so nice. We especially enjoyed speaking with Julia, she is a delightful young lady who spent time talking to us during our wine tasting about the area and about the different wines.

Great restaurant!! It has its focus on sea food dishes but also the Cotoletto Milanese was very delicious with high quality 🤤 The service staff was very friendly and kind. They speak English fluently 🤓 The location is also perfect, very close to the Lago di Garda. Thumbs up!! 👍🏽 🤓

This restaurant has tables front to street and some more in a kind of backyard. We preferred the backyard as it is more cosy. Didn't like people smoking, as air doesn't move that much in between the houses. Crowded place but very nice staff, great food - recommended!

If you eat vegan/vegetarian, you don’t want to miss out on the natura menu! We’ve had it twice already and cannot wait to come back during our next vacation. From spot-on cocktail and wine recommendations to the flavourful and creative courses, the great atmosphere and selection of colourful hand- crafted dishes, there‘s hardy anything to improve. I especially loved the roman salat - perfection, thank you very much!

The good: Excellent service, grazie mille Franco! 🥂 The staff was very attentive to our needs, with minor glitches here and there (a waiter who poured wine to a champagne glass with some champagne in it...) The food was gorgeous to look at, plated splendidly. The not-so-good: The tastes of most of the food were not clear on what sensation the chef was trying to give us. We had to return one dish of green spaghetti because it was way too salty, but we got another dish instead - hence the compliments for the service. To summarize, the restaurant didn't live up to our expectations... For over 1000€ for 5 people.
Elad K — Google review
What a disappointment. The food was presented nicely enough, but that was it. The flavors were very dull and none of the dishes stood out. It’s nice that the chef can play with textures, but when the flavor is missing you don’t do a lot with it. Service was pleasant. Water on the other hand was very expensive (8€/bottle). Wines paired with the food were nice. Can’t recommend this restaurant, unfortunately. 😞

You can expect to taste unique dishes made from the very best ingredients while also eating in an amazing setting where the restaurant tables are not to close to each other. The art in the decor design is the first thing you see when you enter the restaurant and it will keep you looking at it for the duration of the evening. The staff are professionals and took very good care of our every whim, whether to discuss about wine or the dishes. They are clearly invested into providing a very high quality service. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and whenever we are in Italy again, we will surly drop by for an amazing evening.

A Michelin rated restaurant, charging UK Michelin prices, but with an attitude problem from some servers and an identity crisis with the food. The omnivorous taster menu had a few bright notes, but overall it deserved the lack of a star. The cost was high. One server disliked that we disliked some of their food, despite it being weird (and off-menu) in parts.

Andrea was outstanding and explained the menu very clearly a few times to us with great patience. The desserts were amazing!!!! All teh vegetarian food was just delicious and would highly recommend it. The restaurant definitely made the effort to accommodate for this. Great value for the price. Recently discovered Ristorante Pizzeria La Porta and it was a fantastic experience! A very friendly guy greeted us at the entrance and invited us inside. We ordered beer, operöl, and a large seabass for two. The fish was delicious and quickly prepared. This place turned out to be the most atmospheric in the charming little town of Bardolino. It was particularly pleasing that the restaurant doesn’t close at 4 PM like others that shut down until 6-7 PM. I highly recommend Ristorante Pizzeria La Porta, everything was great!

The atmosphere is lovely, especially the outdoor seating, which is very pleasant. Unfortunately, the food was quite bland and felt tailored to tourist tastes. The flavors didn’t really come together, and it lacked the authenticity we were hoping for. Disappointing, as we had looked forward to trying this place. :/

Calling this an airport is a joke. The terminal and waiting area are containers. There’s only one small coffee, no cards no seating. I’ve seen bus stops with better service. What a joke…
Nuno R — Google review
While I understand this airport only has 1 or 2 flights per day, they should really improve its service: There are almost no electric sockets (and it was a big problem when our flight was delayed for 2 hours), there are very few bahtrooms and no WiFi.
Andrés G — Google review
Small airport. This is good to know because you will not face any delays trying to go through security, since they only do one flight at a time. Friendly staff. You can buy some local wine (even Lambrusco), cheese and ham after going through security. Good to know!!!

If I can give it zero star or even - I do but unfortunately I can't. We went for the check in and we had the medical blue masks that we always use but the 2 women in the beginning forced us to buy other 2 masks because they told us it's a must in the Parma airport and on the Ryanair plane. So we had to buy other 2. So when we where entering, the guard's that were checking our bags had the blue masks like we had, and I have proof, ON THE plane all the air hostess had also the blue masks and I have noticed that 2 of them had the mask not medical just one layer not like I use 3 layer, I also have proof. This kind of bullying I really hates and if it's keep bothering me in my head I will file a report at the Italian ambassador also talk to my lawyer and start in Court.

Valerio Catullo Airport

International airport
Airport
Valerio Catullo Airport is a small but efficient airport with mainly European and domestic flight options. It offers a shuttle bus to the station for convenient transportation. While it's undergoing construction for modernization, the airport remains organized and busy. The food options are limited and slightly expensive, so it's recommended to grab food before arriving. Despite some limitations in facilities like toilets and passport control, the airport is generally clean and easy to navigate.
The airport is not too big and the bus is very convenient to get to many attractions.
Anna — Google review
If more than one flight arrives here at the same time expect a long wait. There are 2 E gates servicing all arriving as non EU although the signage is poor so lots of EU passport holders also use this line making your arrival incredibly painful. On departure, there are no charge points in the main terminal but a stroll along to the nice shed like building they are currently using for Ryan air flights to depart gives some charge point towers. Otherwise, airport is fine with duty free and food/drink options. Security departing was very quick with liquids left in bag.
Jennifer E — Google review
Can’t believe how dire this airport is. The only positive is that it’s small and not relatively busy and so you breeze through check-in, passport and security with ease. The negative is that they have very little places to eat or drink and what they do have is a very poor offering with items selling out by 7pm. WI-FI also would not connect.
Mark W — Google review
Was unfortunate to have a delayed flight on a Saturday. No public transport to the train station neither bus nor aerolink shuttle after 11.10pm. Seems crazy for a European company, over a 100 passengers forced to take taxi, no uber, no intaxi nor freenow taxi apps service available. One long queue of 100 passengers , taxis turning up one every 10 minutes approx. Better service in the Australian outback. Tried renting a car but all closed too 😞
Dr A — Google review
New A Gates Pros: departures lounge partly open and a good selection in the “duty free” shop. Cons: One tiny cafe, no WiFi, nowhere to charge your devices, and all windows are frosted so you can’t see outside or watch the planes coming and going. B Gates The original much older wing with more eating options and lots of charging points.
Will W — Google review
A nightmare. Bus to the airport has no luggage racks, so if you have more than one small bag, the journey will be very unpleasant. There is a horrible noise at the airport due to construction works and before the security checks in there is nothing in terms of food, drink or even to sit down. Check in of the main luggage takes ages. The crew are lazy and uninterested that the passengers are waiting for them to stop gossiping and get on with their jobs. Luckily I’m not planning to ever fly in or out of this airport again if I can help it.
Justyna G — Google review
Quite a nice modern airport currently undergoing renovation for the 2026 winter Olympics. The works has resulted in some long walks to get to the gates and, to be honest, the current departure gates are not that great. I also did not really enjoy being checked through to spend 30 minutes standing in a cage in the heat. Having said that there was excellent ciabatta rolls and coffee for sale in the new part of the airport. I'm sure it will all be better when the development works are finished.
Graham P — Google review
Aug. 25, departures terminal is a mess. The terminal is undergoing renovation, hope it'll make a difference because right now it feels more like a cattle auction than a passenger terminal. Makeshift structures, cramped spaces, not enough seating available. The only saving grace was the wonderful attitude and attentive service of Elena and Carmela for the assisted travel team, who helped me navigate the terminal safely and on time.
