Water & Amusement Parks
Theme Parks
Gardaland Resort is a renowned amusement park located in Castelnuovo del Garda, Verona. Established in 1975, it has gained international recognition and is considered one of the top amusement parks globally. Situated on the shores of Lake Garda, it spans 46 hectares and features a wide array of attractions and themed areas suitable for all ages. The park offers numerous shows daily, themed restaurants, and beautifully landscaped surroundings.
Gardaland Park offers an intense and unforgettable experience for the entire family. As evidenced by the fact that two days were not enough to do everything, the park's enormous size guarantees an endless variety of attractions and activities. Convenience and accessibility are the name of the game at Gardaland. Entry is exceptionally fast, and within the park, you’ll find food stalls and restaurants on every corner, so there’s always a place to rest and eat. Additionally, the park is technologically advanced and offers two useful apps: one for easy navigation inside the park and another for downloading photos taken on the rides, which adds to the experience and provides fun souvenirs. The variety of attractions is indeed for all ages, but it's important to note that most rides are suited for those 100 cm (3.3 ft) tall and above. Therefore, it's wise to plan accordingly. Even so, the park provides a diverse experience for both parents and children. As mentioned, the most worthwhile option is to purchase tickets directly at the box office. In conclusion, Gardaland is a highly recommended destination. It's a very enjoyable experience for parents and children, and it is highly recommended to take two days if possible, to have enough time to enjoy everything this vast place has to offer.

We had an absolutely fabulous day at the Gardaland! You feel like in a fairytale, and all the roller coasters are very exciting! 😍 I recommend going on a (rainy) weekday, so the queues are shorter and you manage to see everything. Feel free to skip the Jumanji Adventure ride though, it’s not quite worth a 40+ minute wait.
Anastasiia K — Google review
Another amazing amusememt park for kids and older as well. Rides get pretty busy with the nice weather, like in every resort. I wish there was a better overview what each ride offers - we waited 90 minutes for Jumanji adventure, which was absolutely no advanture plus it was all in Italian. Other than that, only 4 rides required height over 140, few over 130. Make sure to check these requirements before going. Also, buying tickets outside od the official venue office is cheaper so look for those selling points in the city.
Katja T — Google review
We visited Gardaland on a Wednesday and had an amazing time! 🎢 The waiting time for each ride was less than 15 minutes, which made the whole experience super smooth. The official app showing live queue times was very helpful — it helped us plan our route efficiently and enjoy more rides. The park is clean, beautifully themed, and well-maintained. Staff were friendly and organized, and there were plenty of food options and rest areas. Both the kids and adults had a blast — from the thrilling roller coasters to the fun family attractions. Highly recommend visiting on a weekday if possible — short queues, great atmosphere, and so much fun! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Yan Z — Google review
Fantastic for kiddies as there is a great balance of calmer rides with ease of motion while still holding very good production value. The adult rides too are equally fantastic. I hold the overall experience below Europa park however and wouldn't go too far out of my way to visit it.
Aaron C — Google review
So much fun, there's something for everyone. We also went during weekday in October, there was minimal queue and wait time even on popular rides. Absolutely recommended visiting if you have kids and are in the area.
Hendy O — Google review
I imagine if you speak Italian or love big rollercoasters this would be a much better day out. For us with kids ages 5 and 8, it felt a bit pricey for what we could actually enjoy as a family. Lots of options for food, nicely laid out, friendly staff and good toilet facilities. However, some rides felt very dated and you lost some of the context/charm for some rides where the story is of course, in Italian.
Abigail J — Google review
We had such a fantastic time at Gardaland! The park is full of magic, excitement, and plenty of things to do for both kids and adults. There are so many attractions from thrilling rides to fun games that kept us entertained all day. The decorations and themed areas are beautiful and immersive, making it feel like stepping into another world. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was well-organized despite the crowds. It’s also worth mentioning that the park is very clean and well-maintained, and there are plenty of places to relax, grab food, or cool down.If you’re visiting Italy with kids, Gardaland is absolutely worth it. We left with big smiles and a new fluffy friend. we recommend

The Porta Brescia fortress is a historic stone gatehouse located within the city's walls, serving as an entrance to the old town. Alongside it stands a war monument exhibiting cannons and weaponry. It's a fascinating place to visit, where one can witness historical artifacts rather than glorifying wars that have ravaged the world. The location offers excellent food, service at fair prices, making it worth spending money on.
Stunning town with amazing bars and restaurants and lots of shopping. Well worth the visit the beautiful gem of a place.

Porta Brescia (1551–1558) is one of the main entrances to the fortress, steeped in history and surrounded by a moat of shimmering water. Lined with vibrant flowers year-round, the approach is as charming as it is imposing. It’s awe-inspiring to stand before it and imagine the sheer thickness and strength of the fortress walls, built to withstand centuries of conflict and time.

Martin D — Google review
Gorgeous, quaint and just lovely. There’s a fantastic kids playground atop the battlement, with a great little coffee shop and shaded playground - bit of a hidden gem.
Nick K — Google review
Great little Cafe at the Port of Peschiera. Grabbed a must needed Aperol and Hugo Spritz. There was no table service, but that wasn't a problem.
Peter C — Google review
This review is from 3 years ago at the time I wrote this (reason -made a new google review focused account): Very beautiful place. However a common issue was the honesty and people: -all the stores sold the same clothes with different pricing -at the parking there was a guy ''acting like he worked there'' and wanted money from you for showing you a parking spot. Nice spot, not so nice people.

Gourgous old area of town, lovely walks and atmosphere. Great history to be discovered also. The walk along the canal part is lovely, and there’s a great places to eat and shop in the built up part. Thumbs up.
Kieran M — Google review
Visited Porta Verona recently and despite the crowd, its beauty truly stood out. The impressive stone archway, steeped in history, offers a grand entrance into the heart of the city. Even with the busy atmosphere, the architectural elegance and timeless character of the gate made it worth the visit. It’s a great spot for photos and a perfect starting point for exploring the surrounding streets. A must-see for history lovers and anyone who appreciates classic Italian design.

Ports Verona at Lake Garda is a charming haven where the serene beauty of the lake meets the elegance of Italian architecture. Picture cobblestone streets lined with quaint shops and vibrant cafes, where every corner invites you to pause and savor the moment. The harbor, a mosaic of boats bobbing gently in the water, frames a backdrop of rolling hills and lush landscapes. As the sun sets, casting a golden glow over the lake, the area transforms into a picturesque canvas of reflection and tranquility. Lido Cappuccini

Mentioned on

Lido
Bar & grill
Lido Cappuccini is a popular shingle beach with water sports and casual outdoor dining. Loungers and umbrellas are available for rent. Despite some poor reviews, the beach offers clean water, is not overcrowded, and is close to amenities. It's recommended to bring water shoes for kids but it's not necessary. Paid parking that is affordable can be found nearby.
Nestled along the picturesque shores of Lake Garda, Lido Cappuccino Cafe beckons with promises of stunning views, delectable treats, and a relaxed atmosphere. During my recent visit to this enchanting destination, I had the pleasure of experiencing the charm and hospitality of Lido Cappuccino Cafe firsthand. Location and Ambiance: Situated right on the edge of Lake Garda, Lido Cappuccino Cafe boasts a prime location that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the shimmering waters and surrounding mountains. Whether you choose to sit indoors or on the spacious outdoor terrace, you're treated to an unforgettable backdrop that enhances the dining experience. The ambiance is laid-back and inviting, with comfortable seating, gentle breezes, and the soothing sounds of the lake providing the perfect setting for relaxation and indulgence. Service: From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the attentive staff who made me feel right at home. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the service was prompt and courteous, with servers going above and beyond to ensure that every guest's needs were met. Whether it was recommending menu items, providing local insights, or simply engaging in friendly conversation, the staff at Lido Cappuccino Cafe epitomized hospitality at its finest. Cuisine: Lido Cappuccino Cafe offers a tempting array of Italian and international delights, ranging from freshly brewed coffee and refreshing cocktails to light snacks and indulgent desserts. I started my day with a steaming cup of cappuccino, which was expertly crafted and delivered the perfect balance of rich espresso and velvety foam. For a light bite, I sampled the bruschetta, which featured ripe tomatoes, fragrant basil, and drizzles of olive oil atop crusty bread—a true taste of Italy's vibrant flavors. As I lingered over my meal, I couldn't resist indulging in a slice of tiramisu, which was decadently delicious and the ideal ending to my lakeside dining experience. Price: While Lido Cappuccino Cafe offers a premium dining experience, the prices are reasonable considering the stunning location and quality of the food and service. Guests can expect to pay a bit more than at a typical cafe, but the value provided by the exceptional views and culinary offerings more than justifies the cost. Overall Impression: In conclusion, Lido Cappuccino Cafe is a true gem nestled along the shores of Lake Garda, offering a delightful blend of breathtaking scenery, impeccable service, and mouthwatering cuisine. Whether you're seeking a leisurely breakfast, a midday pick-me-up, or a romantic evening meal, this charming cafe delivers an unforgettable experience that will leave you longing to return. I wholeheartedly recommend Lido Cappuccino Cafe to anyone visiting Lake Garda, as it epitomizes the essence of la dolce vita—Italian living at its finest. Buon appetito!

Spent a day here, swimming and taking the sun. It's a lovely beach, small and not packed. Plenty of restaurants and ice cream sellers nearby. Beach beds are around €12 a day. Houses close to the beach are stunning...worth a look. Very relaxing away from the traffic.
James F — Google review
Lovely little beach. We had one day on the beach. We hired sun lounges (comfiest I’ve ever had!) and sun umbrella right on the waters edge, cute family of ducks visiting people on the beach and surfing the waves :-) great beach bar for drinks and food.

Campeggio del Garda is a spacious campsite located right on the water's edge, just a short walk from the historic center of Peschiera del Garda. It offers various accommodation options including tent and campervan spaces, affordable mobile homes, and bungalows. The campsite features two swimming pools, an on-site restaurant, and a shop for convenience.
Nice camping village in very good location. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Air conditioner was quieter than in previous mobile homes I have visited. We stayed in a mobile home with three bedrooms (32sq m). Car can be parked in front of the house. Location in walk distance to Pechiera dep Garda city centre. Very nice playground for kids, animation team and program every day, pool and 24/7 reception.
Kristen T — Google review
Beautiful area and many great restaurants just a short walk away in Peschiera. The accomodation was clean and spacious for a family of 5. The on-site restaurant was great for lunch or dinner. Nice pool and plenty activities for young children and teenagers alike.
Alan M — Google review
We had a great week here as a family of 4. Great location, brilliant swimming pool, relaxed atmosphere. Great little shop on site. Only thing is that it can get a bit noisy from other guests and/ or neighbouring campsites.
Adam W — Google review
Second time here. Place is super. Great location. Staff are very friendly. Brilliant for kids and families. Only complaint was how they increased their price's. Last year (2024), a pint of beer was €4.50 at the disco. This year a 3/4 of a pint is €5, even though a full pint is €5 in the restaurant and pool bar. A mouth full of wine is €4. Either increase price's or lower the size of the product, but don't do both. To clarify, I'm not a big drinker, just like a cold pint on my holidays.
Robbie B — Google review
Tidy holiday camp. Cabin we had was excellent, there are lots of options so choose wisely. Pool was clean and well maintained/supervised. Shop on site was good. Decent location. If you see any images with a beach that’s total rubbish. There is no beach down there at all. Couple of stony/pebble areas on waterfront. Lake is great for fishing and swimming, pedallo hire etc. would stay again.
Mark M — Google review
Very friendly staff, and small but convenient houses perfect for a family stay. Beware that towels and bed linen is not included and you must bring them yourself or rent them on check in. There is a warm blanket in the closets that we did not notice until our second night. The location is prime and while the houses are not huge they have everything you need for a short stay. Chose them for convenience as they were super close to Gardaland. Would definitely recommend and return
K. M — Google review
It's an excellent camping. Water, sewer, toilets, showers, Wi-Fi. Big lots for your camper. Lots had a little mud is it rained before. Camping is next to the lake. We paid €30 for two people and a motorhome. It's very quiet, we woke up because the birds were singing.
Anita M — Google review
The place was clean and cosy. The air-conditioning unit was a lifesaver. Yes there was construction going on nearby but the house was soundproof, so we weren't inconvenienced at all. We were provided with some essentials like, shower gel and detergent. But for an easier, more comfortable stay i do recommend taking the following items; a sponge for washing dishes, extra trash bags, extra toilet paper, hand soap, kitchen or paper towels, salt, sugar, oil, towels and bedsheets (though you can rent the latter 2 from the camp).

The first day we came here it was closed and we are so glad we came back again. The food and the service is excellent. Chef Fabio came to take our orders himself. Very friendly good looking guy! High quality olive oil, generous serving of truffles on the pasta, wonderfully seared tuna, one of the best sea bass I ever had and such exquisite desserts - pistachio creme brûlée and “the egg” which you cut open and it looks like a real egg with egg white and yolk. Note: the pasta and the tuna are half portions as they were very kind to split them into 2 for me and my wife.

When in Sirmione - MUST COME HERE! The welcoming, family-like and personalized service as well as the cozy ambience is just as exquisite as the food. Cannot even find the right words. Visit this amazing place, as Nike would say ‘just do it’. Won’t regret.

Very ambient and lovely cozy restaurant. We sat inside. 8tops! We enjoyed a nice Pasta dish and the fiorentina Steak, cut into small pieces, resting on a bone, drizzled with olive oil. I had the Chocolate Lava Cake for Dessert. Very delicious meal!

Exceptionally good food. Everything is made fresh with good quality ingredients and you can taste that. Friendly and helpful service. Especially the English speaking young man who gave good advice and helped us with the menu for the evening. What amazed us was how quick everything was prepared, while the restaurant was quite busy. One of the best dinners we had in Italy!

We couldn't be happier with this restaurant! Amazing food; we recommend the Fiorentina steak without a doubt. Do not skip their green salad with Italian olive oil and Modena balsamic vinegar since we couldn't stop eating it! Amazing wine, incredible atmosphere, and the service was impressive! Last but not least, their prices were great. Thank you so much!

The food was very good! We arrived on peak hours with full restaurant so took a bit to get service and the food, but the Fiorentina steak (66€) was great! The straciatella has a starter was also super tasty!

Michelin level place located just near the lake! Absolute madness seafood heaven. Incredible dishes each created by the chef and owner. Selection of beer and wine is just so delicious me after coming from Paris very much enjoyed each moment here. Strongly recommend if you don’t want basic Italian food - such a place! Each sauce, marinade, seasonings felt so on point, hard to describe!

Really good food, but much better the service and kind people from the place. All we asked to eat was really good, also the drinks (Beer and Apperol) were really tasty. The rate is for sure accurate due the great flavor and service. High recommended place.

Unique and really good fusion of seafood and Japanese. Fantastic atmosphere, great drinks and super staff. Perfect for a change from pizza and pasta

One of the best seafood places in the world. We had better fish and chips than in the UK, better wagyu gyōza than in Japan and all around an awesome experience! Shitloads of craft beer and own beer collabs! Natural wine. Super value for money. And super nice people.

Apparently they were fully booked but the place was empty. But I would advise anyone to avoid this place. As I can see from your fast reply to my comments you really have a lot of time on your hands. Maybe you should concerned yourself with running a good restaurant which this is not. With a owner that likes to reply to ever bad review he get it's not a good look pal get a life. Well since this pathetic little human like to keep replying, let's state the facts: my wife & child and I visted this place. We were the 1st people there, The waitress was going to seat my wife and child until she saw me with them. Then suddenly there were fully booked the waitress proceeded to show us a reservation book that had 6 or so reservation in it. So we went somewhere more welcoming. So I left a review that showed how I was treated nowhere in my review did I mentioned those words. But it seems you have a guilty conscience. I state again this place is not warm or welcoming. The owner seems to like to threaten people for leaving honest reviews which makes you a very small insignificant person,Who should get out of the hospitality business asap.

The friendly staff and delightful food make it a must-visit spot for those exploring the area near Peschiera del Garda.
Staff amazing, food tasty, portions generous. You will leave satisfied. Lots of characters in attendance, regulars and those passing through. Ignore the wierd plastic ceiling and generic wall decoration, this place is more than the sum of it's parts, like a good pizza.

A really great restaurant. Loved the prices and portions as well. I really enjoyed the grilled sea bass. Pizza was super thin crust, honestly could use a sharper knife to cut it 😂 would recommend and come again!!!

Really delicious pizza and friendly staff, the restaurant was great just the location next to the street instead of close to the water is maybe a little less pretty, but I would still recommend to go there anytime.

Super busy place, always full. Fried mix as an appetizer was great. Main course was okay but a bit bland for my taste. Also this place specializes in pizza, from people around us they looked good. So maybe recommendation is to take pizza if you are coming here.
Sara T — Google review
We’ve been eating here every year for the past 3 years during our trips from Greece to Garda, and it’s always a highlight. The food is consistently great, with friendly staff, fast service, and a warm atmosphere. Make sure to try the salmon pizza and the star-shaped pizza — both are unique and delicious! We usually spend around €10–20 per person, and the quality is totally worth it. A place we always return to with a smile — see you again next summer!

This place is incredibly busy with fantastic service and great food. If you like authentic pizza and pasta this is the place to try. It’s located in a very humble location, away from the busy waterfront and surrounded by the traffic of three major thoroughfares. Parking was an issue because it was so busy. I would highly recommend booking a reservation in advance to ensure you get a seat.

Restaurant
Osteria Rivelin is a charming 17th-century Italian eatery that offers a memorable dining experience. The restaurant serves homestyle regional dishes and features patio seating for a delightful al fresco meal. It aims to recreate the feeling of enjoying Northern Italian cuisine in your grandmother's kitchen, offering high-end versions of classic dishes from the Italian countryside. Visitors are recommended to try the steak with black truffles or lasagne with stuffed chicken for an ultimate main course experience.
My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at this historic Osteria (tavern) when we were on vacation from Australia back in Oct in and around Largo Di Garda (North East Veneto region of Italy) The Osteria's location, waiter and waitresses were so welcoming and informative of the history of the Osteria and the food ingredients that they prepare are all locally grown and sourced. We had some fantastic delicious courses that were recommended by the waiter and we highly recommend this to anyone who wants to taste authentic traditional cuisine of the area. A must stop if you are coming to this part of Largo Di Guarda

The restaurant focus in local products, the menu features fish from the lake garda , the pasta we order was too salty for our taste but the appetizers were spot on
Andres J — Google review
We came here based on TripAdvisor reviews, and the first impression was very good, with a beautiful location and friendly staff. The starters were truly delicious, and the Valpolicella wine was excellent. However, things started to slip a little with the first course. My daughter asked if the pasta dish could be made without ricotta, but this was not possible because the truffle and cheese were combined in one sauce. Of course, we respect the chef’s choices, so we ordered the dish as it was. Still, in the 15 years I have been coming to Italy, it was the first time a chef did not want to prepare a simple pasta for one of my children — something as basic as pasta with olive oil and truffle. As my daughter eats a full four-course meal, she occupies a full place setting at the table. While the tagliatelle with duck sauce was excellent, her pasta was overwhelmed by ricotta and truffle, masking the flavor of the pasta itself. Everyone else’s dishes, both first and main courses, were very good, with generous portions and overall a fair price-to-quality ratio. Unfortunately, what truly let the evening down was the second glass of wine. It contained a large amount of fine cork. When the waitress came to clear the plates, she asked what was wrong, but there was confusion as they initially thought I meant there was cork in the food. Another staff member came over, understood the problem, apologized, and offered a new glass. Even so, I noticed some disapproving looks from behind the counter, and when the replacement glass came, I was shocked to find it was likely poured from the same bottle and had not been checked. It also contained cork. I chose not to make a scene and set it aside. Despite the fact that several staff members noticed this, no one addressed it further. At the end of the evening, when the presumed owner asked each table if they had enjoyed their meal, there was little conversation in my case. It was a missed opportunity. I was not angry, and as a family we had a pleasant evening overall, but the wine and the way it was handled were a real disappointment. The customer is not always right, but if someone says there is cork in the wine and it smells of cork, at the very least it should be checked, especially at €7 a glass, nearly €50 a bottle. A beautiful location with good food, but the service fell short on this occasion. Next time, I hope for better.

Beautiful local restaurant in Peschiera with stylish décor and a welcoming atmosphere. Authentic, flavorful dishes made with fresh ingredients, excellent service, and fair prices. Four of us ate generously with drinks and dessert, and the total was only €100 including service. A perfect spot for families or couples – highly recommended!

The restaurant delivers, but nothing special. Service feels a bit cold and impersonal. Food quality is good for Italy, but far from outstanding. Overall, an average experience.

historical, beautiful setting. Great athmosphere and super nice service. Food up to par, the Duck tagliatelle to die for. Axcellent over all.
Thomas T — Google review
We had dinner here. The location is very nice. There is a wide selection of wines (with a dedicated wine list). We received complimentary bread as well as a small appetizer consisting of bread with Gorgonzola and a spoon with cheese and something with apricot. The typical "starters", in this case pasta, are too large for a starter but too small for a main course. Therefore, it's difficult to make the right choice (starter and main course, or just one of them). The food was very good but on the pricier side.

Sandwich shop
Marco e Daniela Time in Peschiera del Garda is a unique dining experience that combines a premium eatery and market. The establishment offers a variety of options, including sandwiches, lasagna, and charcuterie boards, as well as vegan specialties. Guests can customize their meals with fresh ingredients from the well-stocked fridge counter. The venue also features an extensive selection of high-quality food products such as meats, cheeses, fruits, and vegetables.
recently visited Marco e Daniela Time in Peschiera with my wife, and the experience was absolutely outstanding far better than meals I’ve had at Michelin-starred restaurants. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, as if we were visiting a family home. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of kindness. We were served by a lovely young woman named Marta, who was incredibly professional and friendly. Her warm smile, attentiveness, and thoughtful recommendations made us feel completely at ease. She took the time to understand our preferences, which made the entire experience even more special. The service wasn’t just excellent the food was equally impressive. We ordered the octopus panino and… OMG! It was unbelievably fresh, as if the octopus had come straight from the sea and been cooked just for us. Even the vegetables were crisp and full of flavor you could taste the freshness in every bite. It doesn’t matter where you sit in this restaurant every guest receives the same high quality service. We even had the pleasure of meeting Marco, the owner, and his son, who were seated with guests and treating everyone like family. Marco personally came over to greet us and asked about our experience, which only added to the warmth and authenticity of the place. Our feedback is now public because this restaurant deserves to be known. Marco e Daniela Time is one of the best dining experiences I’ve had anywhere in the world.

Our experience here was the absolute best! One person in our group was Gluten free and the staff went above and beyond to cater for them (free Bruschetta and tiny dessert - all gluten free) The atmosphere was really cozy and the staff were incredibly friendly - Marta in particular was a sweetheart ! I highly recommend this place

Marco e Daniela Time offers a delightful array of sandwiches crafted with fresh ingredients that make each bite a treat. Their coffee is robust and satisfying, perfect for a midday pick-me-up. The daily rice special adds a unique touch, showcasing their commitment to variety. The cheesecake with berries is a standout, offering a sweet and tangy finish to your meal. However, the service can be a bit brisk, leaving you with the impression that you’re being hurried along so the staff can enjoy their siesta. Despite this, the quality of the food and coffee makes it a worthwhile stop.

What an amazing find! We wanted a lunch option that offered gluten free options and we were not disappointed! Every sandwich is offered with gluten free bread and there are couple of the daily specials and desserts suitable for celiac’s too. As soon as we informed the staff that one of us was celiac they could not have been more helpful, they all went to great lengths to explain the options and were so friendly we felt completely at ease and enjoyed every single morsel! The 4 of us and our 2 dogs could not have been more welcome. Thank you to all for a superb lunch that has become one of our highlights of visiting Lago di Garda!

Service - very good, attentive, friendly and quick. Atmosphere - well, it’s in a little shopping mall, but the restaurant had an outside terrace and was tastefully designed. However - don’t expect a lake view. But overall for a sandwich shop - it’s amazing I guess. Food - I had three of their sandwiches and all were outstanding. The little starter (hello from the chef) was a nice touch. Menu is simple - one pasta, one rice dish, a couple of other options and starters and a TON of sandwiches and all seem are great. House wine and beer were also superb. Freshly squeezed juices were great. So, overall, highly recommended. If you’re out for something different to ordinary Italian restaurants - give this place a try. Or certainly come for lunch!

This is a welcoming and casual restaurant with a delicious selection of panini made from fresh and high-quality ingredients. The food was very tasty, including the starter (we ordered the small portion, which was just right for two people). The panini were fantastic! Unfortunately, we didn’t have room for dessert, but they looked delicious. The staff was also very friendly.

Osteria Bakare is a beautiful hidden gem, with amazing regional food and perfect service. It might not look like much from the outside, but a magical space of simple quiet elegance surrounds you when inside, created by seamless efficient service, an excellent wine list curated with taste and unique insights, and quiet peaceful comfort. Chef Elisa was at our table side, and almost everyone else’s as much as she was in the kitchen, serous but smiling and with attention to meticulous details. The simple dishes each had beautiful and complex ingredients that brought out amazing flavors, such as her famous barbecued mango addition to the risotto, and dried combava citrus in the delicious lemon scented spaghetti , and yuzu, shiso, and dashi asian flares. Her recreation of the old school Vitello tonatto “in evoluzione” was a wonderful example of her magical rethinking of the traditional presentation, smartly keeping the old and improbable dish but elevating it and honoring the unique combination. We loved the champagne and caviar list and enjoy starting a meal with those beautiful effervescent bubbles, and our wine guide recommended a unique new small maison we had not tried. Our amazing waitress Cristina, a good and loyal friend to the Chef, was part of the female team there, and has been a strong pillar in the six months old restaurant. But they worked together before at a Michelin starred regional restaurant in the beautiful hills close by for many years. Thank you Elisa and Cristina for making our evening of celebration for my husband and my college bound daughter so special. We will spread the word and be back again, as we are sure this chef and this restaurant will have many many successful years ahead. Standing still in place while running ahead, a true labor of passion.

Best restaurant in town. We’ve spent a delightful evening at Bakaré. Lots of talent and a great sense of hospitality! The quality of the service matches the quality of the food. We (4 people) left the table enriched by an original culinary experience and a very convincing menu. The young chef has found a language of her own that will, without much doubt, be recompensated by the big food guides soon. Great revisits of Italian classics, innovative dishes with Asian twists. Modern food, but comforting, just what you want, really. A culinary oasis in a very touristy town.

Good food with plenty of options for vegetarians & meat lovers. They're also happy to customise the food to add or drop some ingredients out of your dish. The vibe is also good. But it gets pretty crowded during dinner time, so it's best to make a reservation for a good spot.

I still dream of the tortellini de la casa in butter with sage. The dough was rolled out so thinly that it melted in my mouth. The spaghetti carbonara was also very tasty. The veal ossobuco was divine. The polenta (something I don't normally like) was also wonderfully seasoned. The roast beef was heavenly. We sat in the far corner of the restaurant because we hadn't made a reservation, and the atmosphere there wasn't as warm as it was at the front. We were also out of sight of the staff, and since they were so busy in the front, they rarely came by. But when they did, they did a wonderful job and were very sweet.

We want to add that two different friend groups recommended this restaurant. The food was extremely fresh, with a very good portion size. Mind you; the pasta sizes you see in the photos below is half a portion. The starters were great, very fresh and tasty. Everything was timed perfectly, with the chance for our daughter to eat first but also for us to enjoy the started with her. The wine selection is vast and very good prices. Everything is local, from the fish, the wines and the bread. We will come back for sure!!

Good to know - it’s best to make a reservation if you want to eat there in the evening. The place fills with people very fast, in the best way. Makes the atmosphere very “homely”. You can tell that people love to be there. Wish we stayed one more day in Peschiera just to go there again.

Very nice restaurant with typical Italian foods. The atmosphere was as well cosy as a bit chique, nicely done! Price/quality -> 5/5 All the dishes we ordered were delicious. You could taste that every part was homemade and a lot of ingredients come from their own garden. As a starter we got a small zucchini pie and Italian cuts. The zucchini pie was very fresh and tasty. The Italian cuts weren't the best we've had but surely were okay. For the main course we ordered a ribeye steak and smoked ricotta ravioli. The ribeye steak was gorgeous and they understand the cooking of it really well. It was actually medium rare as asked and the meat was super tender. The smoked ricotta ravioli was out of this world! Super tasty pasta and dressed with homemade pesto, we can really recommend both these main courses! We ordered homemade fries as a side dish, even these were very well done and super tasty. As a desert we ordered coffee and tiramisu. You really can't go wrong with this in Italy and they showed this here as well. The next day we came back to take away 2 pizza's and they were as expected.

Very disappointed with this restaurant. The dishes were quite different from what is shown on Google Maps — the portions were smaller, and the presentation was much less appealing. The service seemed friendly at first, but once it became clear we weren’t ordering alcohol, their attitude noticeably changed. One middle-aged man with glasses was especially cold and made us feel unwelcome. It felt like we weren’t “spending enough” to be treated respectfully. That said, we did appreciate the kindness of one older female server. [Update — Response to the Owner’s Reply] Thank you for your reply, but I must clarify a few things. • Simply stating that your dishes match the photos on Google doesn’t address the fact that our food had noticeably smaller portions and less appealing presentation than what is advertised. • Mentioning your staff’s age range does not change the fact that a male staff member with glasses was clearly cold — regardless of age, the behavior we experienced was unacceptable. • Suggesting we misunderstood what a gourmet restaurant is supposed to be feels dismissive. In reality, the inconsistent service, mediocre atmosphere, and lack of refinement did not reflect the standards of a truly high-end restaurant. • Most disappointing was the clear shift in attitude once we declined to order alcohol. True quality is not just about claiming to be “gourmet,” but about showing consistency, professionalism, and respect to all guests — regardless of how much they spend. I stand by my review, and I hope this feedback is taken constructively.

The octopus antipasto and the risotto were delicious! I highly recommend eating here for a special meal or just to try something you won’t get in all the restaurants in Peschiera. I would come back for sure!

Had a wonderfull evening with my family and friends. The restaurant is quite small but with a nice ambiance. The staff were all lovely and if we had any questions they were always there to help. The food was all very lovely and presented with a nice touch. The octopus was one of the best I ever had. If you are a meat lover this is not the restaurant for you. But if you like fish make sure to visit the place!

The best meal we had in Italy, including in Michelin starred ones. Excellent fresh, locally sourced wherever possible, and a wonderful wine list. Very knowledgable waiting staff and excellent value for money

Great place for dining. Had a salmon appetizer, pasta and fish main and my son had chicken fingers. Everything was delicious. My only complaint was my son asked for extra ketchup which they charged us for. I feel like you’re paying enough that you can get an extra 10 ml of ketchup for free. But that’s a small complaint. Fantastic place for dinner. They were also great with my wife who is celiac.

Clean and tidy airport some friendy helpful staff about some are rude quick boarding coming back home

Calling this an airport is a joke. The terminal and waiting area are containers. There’s only one small coffee, no cards no seating. I’ve seen bus stops with better service. What a joke…

While I understand this airport only has 1 or 2 flights per day, they should really improve its service: There are almost no electric sockets (and it was a big problem when our flight was delayed for 2 hours), there are very few bahtrooms and no WiFi.

Small airport. This is good to know because you will not face any delays trying to go through security, since they only do one flight at a time. Friendly staff. You can buy some local wine (even Lambrusco), cheese and ham after going through security. Good to know!!!

If I can give it zero star or even - I do but unfortunately I can't. We went for the check in and we had the medical blue masks that we always use but the 2 women in the beginning forced us to buy other 2 masks because they told us it's a must in the Parma airport and on the Ryanair plane. So we had to buy other 2. So when we where entering, the guard's that were checking our bags had the blue masks like we had, and I have proof, ON THE plane all the air hostess had also the blue masks and I have noticed that 2 of them had the mask not medical just one layer not like I use 3 layer, I also have proof. This kind of bullying I really hates and if it's keep bothering me in my head I will file a report at the Italian ambassador also talk to my lawyer and start in Court.

Great experience, boarded with 3 open gates, and just a short walk to plane, everything went smooth

Worst airport experience ever. Airport overcrowded. No ac working in the middle of the summer. It was one of the worst airport experiences! Avoid at all costs.

Valerio Catullo Airport

International airport
Airport
Valerio Catullo Airport is a small but efficient airport with mainly European and domestic flight options. It offers a shuttle bus to the station for convenient transportation. While it's undergoing construction for modernization, the airport remains organized and busy. The food options are limited and slightly expensive, so it's recommended to grab food before arriving. Despite some limitations in facilities like toilets and passport control, the airport is generally clean and easy to navigate.
The airport is not too big and the bus is very convenient to get to many attractions.

If more than one flight arrives here at the same time expect a long wait. There are 2 E gates servicing all arriving as non EU although the signage is poor so lots of EU passport holders also use this line making your arrival incredibly painful. On departure, there are no charge points in the main terminal but a stroll along to the nice shed like building they are currently using for Ryan air flights to depart gives some charge point towers. Otherwise, airport is fine with duty free and food/drink options. Security departing was very quick with liquids left in bag.

Can’t believe how dire this airport is. The only positive is that it’s small and not relatively busy and so you breeze through check-in, passport and security with ease. The negative is that they have very little places to eat or drink and what they do have is a very poor offering with items selling out by 7pm. WI-FI also would not connect.

Was unfortunate to have a delayed flight on a Saturday. No public transport to the train station neither bus nor aerolink shuttle after 11.10pm. Seems crazy for a European company, over a 100 passengers forced to take taxi, no uber, no intaxi nor freenow taxi apps service available. One long queue of 100 passengers , taxis turning up one every 10 minutes approx. Better service in the Australian outback. Tried renting a car but all closed too 😞

New A Gates Pros: departures lounge partly open and a good selection in the “duty free” shop. Cons: One tiny cafe, no WiFi, nowhere to charge your devices, and all windows are frosted so you can’t see outside or watch the planes coming and going. B Gates The original much older wing with more eating options and lots of charging points.

A nightmare. Bus to the airport has no luggage racks, so if you have more than one small bag, the journey will be very unpleasant. There is a horrible noise at the airport due to construction works and before the security checks in there is nothing in terms of food, drink or even to sit down. Check in of the main luggage takes ages. The crew are lazy and uninterested that the passengers are waiting for them to stop gossiping and get on with their jobs. Luckily I’m not planning to ever fly in or out of this airport again if I can help it.

Small and not busy. They are renovating the airport but in doing that you are stocked without services. For example once you go through the security controls there are a ton of seats with plugs but none are working and there is no other electric plugs available

Aug. 25, departures terminal is a mess. The terminal is undergoing renovation, hope it'll make a difference because right now it feels more like a cattle auction than a passenger terminal. Makeshift structures, cramped spaces, not enough seating available. The only saving grace was the wonderful attitude and attentive service of Elena and Carmela for the assisted travel team, who helped me navigate the terminal safely and on time.
