Konoba Vrh is a highly recommended restaurant in Istria, offering delicious homemade pasta dishes with truffles and various meats. The friendly staff provides great service, creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors to enjoy the exquisite taste of Istrian cuisine. From cheese-stuffed fuzi to gnocchi with goulash, the menu features first-rate ingredients and masterful execution. This is one of the best places we have been in Istria! Great service and amazing local food in a beautiful environment. From cheese and prosciutto platters and amazing soups to super delicious beef fuzi and truffle pasta. Everything went above the expectations. This is a must visit!

Great place to eat, with wonderful service. Both my wife's pepper steak and my truffle steak were very tasty and perfectly cooked. The "Vrh" cake was also really good - one of the most "chocolatey" desserts I've ever had.

Very tasty homemade food and super friendly staff. If you want to have a real experience of an Istrian village home made food you must try out this restaurant! Delicious home made pasta "pljukanci" possible in the combination with several different meats and truffles.

An exquisite taste of Istrian cuisine, with first-rate ingredients and masterly execution. I would especially recommend the cheese-stuffed fuži, a real delicacy, and gnocchi with goulash. Also try the chocolate cake with black truffle and olive oil, a special treat.

The food and servise was amazing. Homemade pasta was the best we had in Istra! Workers were very friendly and the nature is lovely. The town is so cute and leads to a lookout.

Excellent restaurant! We ate the most tender tagliata and pasta with truffles and asparagus. Deserts are also great, we tried chocolate cake and ricotta with teranino. Highly recommended, can’t wait to come again :)
Dunja S — Google review
Everything was great except that the game stew with gnocchi should have more meat in it. Minestrone soup was terrific.
Tomislav O — Google review
Food was delicious! Every dish we ordered was so good! Specially homemade pasta with truffles and homemade pasta with mushrooms and spargel. Service was warm and we really felt welcomed. Highly reccomend to visit and experience the food and the view to mountains.

If you want to eat best truffles and home made pasta, go to Konoba Vrh! Personal is very friendly and kind, food is simply perfect! We eat home made fuzi with truffles, gnocchi with meat, fuzi with cheese and many others. That kind of food I could eat on the daily basis. Dessert is very tasty as well. White wine Malvazija or red wine, Terrano is amazing! Konoba Vrh is definitely to recommend!

The food was very very good and so was the red house wine! The waiter extremely nice and helpful. It's a long way up but it was worth it!

Wonderful service from the owner. Food was very good and the greens seemed fresh and local. We had both the red and white local wines. We both preferred the white. The red was good, but heavier and Cab like. Overall an excellent experience. Recommended. The owner spoke Croatian, Italian and English.

Great atmosphere and the owner was incredibly welcoming. The food and drinks were amazing and well priced! The terrace we sat on had a great view over the valley as well. We would definitely come again.

Home made pasta with truffles and asparagus served with lovely family feeling. Everything is made home from the scratch and fresh. We enjoyed our our slow food experience which was topped with cake covered with truffles and dried fruits. Absolutely recommended and the view is fantastic. Thank you from Slovenia :) Since this is a old town center, navigating around with a huge car or a van can be a adventure. But you can park before entering the old town.

The place is on top of the hill, has a beautiful view. We stopped in Buzet because our son was getting ill and needed a place to have some soup. The manager said they have a vegetable soup so I agreed to sit down . Sadly as much as the bean is vegetable , a bean soup usually is not called like that as it is too heavy with corn and smoked meat. And it was extremely expensive , 13€ we paid for the soup, which was our fault we didnt checked beforehand , but we would have never thought we pay more than 6-7€ for a soup. Parking is not possible only before enters in the center there is a parking lot then need to walk up. However, the manager was very friendly , place is good , view great.

Fantastic find in Buzet. The host was incredibly friendly, gracious and kind. He was patient with our party of 6 and got us seated right away. The food was amazing; I especially enjoyed the beefsteak with fresh black truffles that my friend ordered. But all of the pastas were delicious. Beautiful view of Buzet as well. 13/10 loved it

Wow! what a fantastic meal & service! Seasonal gnocchi with wild asparagus and wild asparagus & truffle were an absolute culinary highlight of our trip around Croatia!

We stopped just to try some coffe and dessert and it was delicious, the cake and vanilla ice cream were sweet. Panna cotta was amazig. The consistency was more foamy - totally different than I had before, so it was a really nice experience. The place is beautiful and the view, just amazing and very pleasing 😊

Old River Restaurant is a remarkable dining establishment in Istria that has left a lasting impression on visitors. From the moment you step inside, you are captivated by its incredible charm and warmth. The service is exceptional, with attentive staff who are always ready to assist. The ambiance of the restaurant is delightful, creating a pleasant atmosphere for an unforgettable dining experience. The menu offers a wide range of delectable dishes, from appetizers to desserts, all expertly prepared and beautifully presented.
Discovered this incredible restaurant by luck after we left the Aura Distillery in Buzet. From the moment you pull up to Old River Restaurant you can sense that it will be a wonderful experience. I can't say anything that we had was less then 5 stars. My son had eggs with white truffles shaved on top, upon his first bite you saw he melted into the dish. My husband had deer meat lasagna as an appetizer followed by grilled veal. The deer meat lasagna he stated was one of his best dishes he has ever experienced and the veal was like cutting into butter so soft and delicious. I ordered their herbed chicken with a salad and the herbs that were infused into the chicken I dont have words to describe how delicious it was. For Dessert they gave us a lemon dessert on the house. My husband and son devoured it and said it was rich and tangy. Overall wonderful experience.

Five-Star Dining Experience! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Old River restaurant and it was truly exceptional although we came without reservation and we stayed only for a short time ( not to mention we were 3 ladies which is usually a sign for not drinking and less eating but hours of talk ). From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome with their warm hospitality and attentive service. The food was the real highlight—beautifully presented, packed with flavor, and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every dish we tried was delicious, but the standout for me was the genuine homemade Prosciutto and Cheese platter for two ( with some homemade sausage and bacon) which is mostly hard to find in better restaurants and istrian Maneštra, perfectly cooked and bursting with taste. The ambiance was cozy yet elegant, making it perfect for a relaxed evening out or a special occasion. I also appreciated the thoughtful menu options, including vegetarian and gluten-free choices. Overall, I can’t recommend Old River enough. It’s a place where the passion for great food and excellent service truly shines. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The best restaurant we went to in a 3 weeks trip in Croatia& Slovenia . Great food, every thing on the point, delicious, generous and beautiful plates. The view and the place are amazing and it’s a fun haven for kids. 100 !!!

While exploring some old and some new areas of the peninsula, we drove by this place the day before and decided to stop for dinner. What a gem! I want to point out that the restaurant has plenty of parking space which is very important especially if you have a larger vehicle. We didn’t have a reservation so we had to sit inside which is very tastefully decorated. Staff was very friendly and personable. Now the food - EXQUISITE! We ordered an Istrian charcuterie board for 2. It was plenty of food to feed 3. My sister also ordered a bowl of Istrian manestra that we all tasted. Took me right back to childhood and my Nona’s manestra. We ordered 3 different main courses so we can try different things. Nettle njoki with asparagus and prosciutto, cheese ravioli with donkey stew, and Istrian ox in wine with polenta. Finger-licking delicious. Portions are generous and the prices are very fair. For my fellow Americans, all that food plus 2 glasses of wine and a juice and a bottle of mineral water was about $135. Added bonus- a sunflower field and a playground meadow in the beach of the restaurant.

Good food with big portions. Quite a big restaurant so there can be a waiting time. If you can sit on the terrace in the back that has amazing views.

Tasty food, beautiful setting and great service. They also have gluten free fuži on the menu, which were amazing.

We came across this restaurant on our way to Pula and we found it to be amazing. Service from the male waiter was very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent although not cheap as cost of truffle is very expensive. The beef was cooked in red wine for more than 5 hours and tasted fabulous. The egg with white truffle was very good except that it was a little salty that we would have liked it. The ravioli with wild asparagus was excellent. Overall it was a very nice lunch we had and the environment add to the pleasure of dining there.

✨ The Oldest Bled Cellar ✨ Amazing atmosphere with a perfect mix of tradition and charm. The food is authentic, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor, while the wine list showcases the best of Slovenia. The staff are warm, knowledgeable, and make you feel right at home. A true gem in Bled — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Tavern Most is a delightful eatery known for its delectable cuisine. Patrons rave about the buttered cheese ravioli, accompanied by tasty sides and topped off with a luscious chocolate souffle. The portions may be small, but they are satisfying enough. The service is commendable, although the ambiance may lack character. Locally sourced wines add to the overall experience, and the vegetarian options are equally enjoyable.
Outstanding! Fresh, nicely presented , tasty food & attentive service. Great value for money spent. Will definitely return & highly recommend.

Nice Konoba, relaxed atmosphere. Great view of Buzet from the veranda. Friendly waiter with excellent English. Good food, especially the truffle dishes. Would also recommend the minestra soup and steak. Prices also reasonable, especially for the wine!

Taverna Most in Buzet is a real gem. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, making you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for enjoying a relaxed meal. The food is excellent – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The highlight for me was the steak with black truffles, which was simply outstanding and one of the best I’ve ever had. A place I would gladly recommend and return to!

Wonderful experience. We asked if we could eat outside in their courtyard, and despite it not yet being 'officially' open for the season, the owner was very accommodating, and a table was promptly set for us. My wife and I enjoyed a delightful meal of beef steak tagliata with truffles and roasted vegetables, followed by a walnut pancake and coffee. Everything was perfectly cooked, tasted delicious and was served with a smile... what more could you want?

Lovely restaurant. Warmly welcomed by the friendly proprietor. Delicious food which was obviously prepared carefully and with pride in the ingredients. The truffle pasta was the best I've tasted locally and the cheese and wine was locally sourced and tasted wonderful. Also reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Pizza restaurant
The individual was initially unsure whether to indulge in truffle-infused dishes, but after considering the prices, they wisely chose to dine at Pizzeria Ježić. The restaurant offers a variety of pizzas cooked in a wood oven and serves beer and other beverages. While the terrace has limited seating, the interior is pleasant. It is suggested that the owner consider adding a small fenced playground for children, as there is only one larger playground nearby where parents must accompany their children.
Interesting selection of pizzas. Kind and warm staff.

Great pizza, but clearly understaffed – the staff is friendly and doing their best, but overwhelmed, so expect a wait. Worth it, as long as you're not in a rush.

Really nice little restaurant. The food was amazing. I ordered the Jezic Steak. I am usually a bit sceptical to order meat, but this was soft and great. Also, it is dog friendly.
Alessandra D — Google review
Ordered pizza was good and pasta was a little bit on saltier side. Choice of 60 pizza varieties looks like too big and a complicates choosing "the right one". By my own affinity/taste there's too much pizzas offered with cooking cream in it but, it can be just my opinion.
Gordan D — Google review
59 pizzas to choose from + many other dishes like pasta, average price of pizza 10€. Excellent service, fab food! Recommend highly.

I was in dilemma should we go and eat some dishes with truffles, but after I saw prices I wisely choose this place. Regular pizza is around 45HRK, beer half liter is around 15HRK and when you get delicious meal, above usual more expensier I ate on some other places, you know where to come back. That's what made me go back here on my second day during stay in Buzet.
Hrvoje P — Google review
Lots of pizzas to choose from the menu. They offer small (28cm), middle (33cm) and jumbo pizza (49cm). I took small Fantasia pizza, it was very tasty. Crunchy dough. Not so expensive. Would recommend!
