Aleka's House is a relaxed hotel that offers comfortable rooms and suites with pleasant views of the sea. Guests can enjoy their meals in the on-site restaurant, which boasts a charming atmosphere and meticulous attention to detail. While the dishes have potential, they could benefit from some improvement considering that they are slightly overpriced for their quality level. The raw materials used in the dishes are of excellent quality.
We had an amazing stay at Alekas. The food in the restaurant is of high quality and special delicate taste. The hotel is super clean and fine. Lena her daughter and the rest of the staff are very welcoming, warm hearted and professional. We left with a desire to come back !

We had the absolute pleasure of enjoying Easter Sunday lunch at Aleka’s House in Tsagkarada, and I can confidently say it was one of the most unforgettable dining experiences we’ve ever had. Everything—from the warm, heartfelt welcome to the final bite—was beyond perfect. The owner was not only gracious and attentive but also delightfully chatty, making every guest feel like family. Her daughters shared the same warmth and hospitality, ensuring that everyone was taken care of with genuine joy and care. What truly sets this place apart, though, are the thoughtful, artistic touches that speak volumes about the love poured into the experience. The menus were hand-painted, adorned with delicate pearls, and even scented with locally inspired fig-turned-perfume—a sensory detail I’ve never encountered before, and one I’ll never forget. And the food? Beyond exceptional. Every dish was a celebration of traditional flavors elevated with skill and passion. It felt like tasting a piece of the region’s soul. If you find yourself in Tsagkarada, do not miss Aleka’s House. It’s not just a meal—it’s an experience wrapped in beauty, authenticity, and warmth.

We were so blown away by the kindness of Kostas and his staff. From the moment we walked in, Kostas treated us as if we were friends. He was soaking in helping us as much as he could and also treating us to the most amazing dishes that his restaurant offered. We had an incredible tzatziki, slow cooked beef, and steamed mountain vegetables. Every dish was delicious We had hiked 25kms to get to the area, and we were staying at a beautiful hotel further out of town, which meant we had to walk uphill for 30 minutes to get to dinner. Our legs were exhausted. I asked when we arrived, and if he knew of a taxi service, who could take us back after dinner. We were so tired! He kindly arranged for one of his staff to run us donw the hill. Both my mum and I were so grateful for their kindness. The tzatziki was so good, we even asked for a takeaway! Thank you Kostas, we will always be grateful for this experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Aleka’s House in Pelion. It truly feels like a boutique gem — the whole place is filled with carefully chosen vintage décor that gives it so much character and warmth. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff go above and beyond to make you feel right at home. The food was another highlight — the chef is simply amazing, and every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. It felt more like dining in a warm family kitchen than at a hotel. The location is also great, not far from the beach, so you can easily enjoy both the mountain charm of Pelion and the seaside.

We had a wonderful experience at Aleka’s restaurant in Tsagarada. The service was calm, polite, and welcoming, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. The flavors were exceptional, with every dish prepared with care and attention. We highly recommend this restaurant without hesitation – a true gem in Pelion!

Another family from our hotel recommend this restaurant and we ate so happy we listened for our last meal of our trip. What a welcoming and delicious experience!!! Vaso, the daughter of the chef and 3rd generation was our hostess, so warm, friendly and kind. We were a group of 9 with 5 loud children but she was patient and even brought the picky eater a taste of the pasta to make sure she would like it. Everything was excellent from the cocktails, the delicious pumpkin soup that we ordered a refill on to the mushroom beef dish that they even gifted us a black truffle to add as much as we wanted. They invited us to enjoy their rooftop bar to enjoy the art work of a local artist Felix Delandre and desert and fresh fruit. The whole experience was so welcoming we felt like personal guests of the family. Of all the restaurants we ate at in Pelion (and we ate at many) this was the best. Restaurant was a bit more expensive but worth it.

We had dinner at the restaurant (didn’t stay at the hotel) food was soooo good! and finally fine cuisine after all the traditional tavernas. The veal with mushrooms was super! But the best was Vaso’s service. She’s amazing!

A truly magical place where the beauty of nature and excellent food complement each other in a unique way. Such places are extremely rare and definitely worth a visit. Absolutely suitable for lovers of fine food, drinks and a taste for beauty. Don't go if you expect another Greek tavern,It's different and that's what makes it so wonderful.

Incredible food, relaxing tasty atmosphere, every bite took us on a journey. Service is amazing. I dont know what more you can ask for ❤️ 100% perfect

One of the loveliest spots in Tsagkarada – relaxed atmosphere, super friendly staff, and absolutely delicious food. The risotto was top notch (probably the best we had in Pelion), and everything else we tried was full of flavour and beautifully presented. Great wine selection too. Definitely a place you want to return to.
Joanna K — Google review
The location is beautiful as well as the music selection, but it is a real shame to define the place as a wine bar and to find a waitress unable to sell the wines ("is this wine - orange wine 11 euros per glass- from Thessaly?" "I do not kneow : my boss isn t here to ask" ). Nice wines, but it is not possible to taste them beforehand. the price of each glass is no specified in the menu. The waitress couldn t help at all with the selection. The food is normal : a lot of vinegar and sauces that cover the supposed quality of the ingredients. Definetely the worst (and the more expensive). And the true shame is the service

Very beautiful restaurant in Pelion mountain with very nice sea view! Traditional Greek dishes with a modern and elegant twist! The lamb dish was exceptional! We will certainly come back again!

From start to finish, everything about this restaurant was exceptional. The food was absolutely divine—each dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and made with clear attention to detail. The atmosphere was perfect, creating the ideal balance between cozy and elegant, making it a truly enjoyable dining experience. The service was top notch; the staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, which made us feel valued and cared for. It’s rare to find a place where every element—food, ambiance, and service—comes together so seamlessly. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an unforgettable culinary experience.

Well, how should I start. One of the best restaurants I had the opportunity to visit. The staff was amazing and swiftly responded to my every need. The atmosphere is, uff, you seat and you have the nicest view of the sea. And now let’s say something about the food. I had 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners at this restaurant. At my first dinner I had a nice talk with the sommelier that suggested me some wines according to my taste. We found a perfect choice to go with my beef carpaccio and beef steak. I have tried some of their bread and mushroom butter. Very good. I ended my dinner with a pistachio panacotta. Pure heaven. For my second dinner I chose seabass ceviche, Oh my goodness. For the main course I hade a beef steak again and added a thyme sauce because they serve it with a hollandaise sauce. Both times I went to sleep with a nice smile on my face. For breakfast you could choose whatever you wanted, the variety of options was big. To summarize my visit. I spent two nights eating like a king. Thank you for your professional service.

Everything was beautifully curated from the music, to the plating and the food itself. A wonderful culinary experience that I would recommend 100%. Service was top notch and everything we ordered was unforgettable 👌

We had a wonderful experience! Everything was 10/10! From the welcoming host, the waiters that were so kind, patient, helpful, explained everything on the menu and even gave recommendations. The food - another level. Michelin star quality. Hats down to the chef! The atmosphere was calm, wonderful view, relaxing music. Perfect for something romantic but also great for a dinner with friends. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend èl resto bar, it’s the best snack bar on the island. nikos makes the best cocktails and coffees and all the staff are very friendly. the food is delicious and not overpriced either.

If you want to treat yourself, let it be El Resto. Delicious, innovative dishes, where all elements work in harmony with each other, without being pretentious. The service is wonderful as is the entire setting. If I were to give one recommendation, I‘d just be to space out the breaks between dishes to give everything a slower pace.

Taverna Agnanti is a small Greek restaurant with delicious food and welcoming staff. The atmosphere is casual and the menu features a variety of Mediterranean dishes. The restaurant is easy to find, has outdoor seating, and accepts reservations. The service is excellent and the prices are very reasonable.
Real traditional Greek food, everything we had was delicious. The portions are very big. Very friendly and warm staff

This taverna is really a hidden gen, you enjoy typical Greek dinner on a large courtyard in front of local church under a centuries-old huge plane tree with the sunset. Amazing!
Massimiliano C — Google review
We experience the festive charm of Agnanti family owned restaurant in Tsagkarada square! ++ This family-owned taverna offers a delightful Christmas menu in 2024 with generous portions at great value, from heartwarming soups to hearty mains and traditional desserts. Their warm hospitality adds to the cozy atmosphere. — However, minor service hiccups, such as missing table essentials like napkins and salt, as well as delayed drinks, could be improved. I highlight recommend Visit Agnanti for a true taste of Greek festive spirit!

Good food in a platea, a quiet and remote from the road zone. We enjoyed the stuffed zucchini flowers, the tzatziki and everything, and also the dessert on the house.😁

The food was absolutely amazing, very well made and tasty. We had a great time and ate a great meal. I 100% recommend this place if you want to eat authentic greek food.

Everything we tasted was delicious. The place is very beautiful, serene and the view is amazing. We loved the fact there are tables all over the square so it never gets overcrowded. We kept eating there for the duration of our stay. Service was excellent as well.

Hiding behind a small, narrow trail that winds a little to the right, then left, and then right again, a small town square is revealed. At its center stands the local, famous old platanus tree. Overlooking the sea, it's the perfect setting for a delightful, generous dinner. Smiling, patient staff help with the various choices of local dishes. We ordered different courses—lamb, pork, and chicken. All were delicious.

Situated in a beautiful plateia with a huge ancient tree, Agnanti is a stunning taverna producing excellent quality Greek food. The chef has imagination and flair and produces food that is in my opinion and that of the other 4 diners, definately a cut above the rest. Two of use are vegetarians and the choice and quality were outstanding; the pasta in particular, fabulous.

Dipnosofistis offers a unique dining experience that sets it apart from traditional Greek restaurants. Unlike typical tavernas, this place doesn't serve classic Greek dishes like souvlaki or saganaki. The ambiance and menu are highly praised, with a diverse selection of wines and delicious food options, including vegetarian choices like truffle risotto and kritama salad. Visitors appreciate the cozy atmosphere, jazz music, and attentive staff.
The family restaurant is located among trees, and it is magical. The whole atmosphere is romantic, and they play great music. The food is good and prepared with local ingredients.

The place is really magnificent. On the way to Mylopotamos beach you will find it on the right. The outside garden is great with a nice view. We ordered a salad and risotto which were very tasteful. I especially loved the bread which was handmade. If it happens to be in Tsagarada don’t miss it. Prices are a bit high but it worths to try it. Totally recommend!
Thanasis B — Google review
Service could have been more professional matching the atmosphere they deem to promote. Drinks arriving after food or forgotten requests from clients, 1 menu for three people. Meat was good. What was not nice ia that they brought us a nutcracker to break a crab without meat, unnecessary in my view. A nutcracker is used to break hasselnuts, walnuts and alike. Crabs need their own tools. A soup needs a spoon, you dont brink a fork for someone to eat a soup. This is unprofessional.
Avraam S — Google review
We visited this restaurant at 16:00, right when the kitchen starts operating. Excellent ambiance, it's like being in a village square. There is soft music playing in the background and sounds of running water. The food is nice, a bit pricey but worth the experience.

Ok food, not much options on vegetarian dishes. Nice ambience. Their service was really slow even though the place was quite empty. We waited for quite a while to be seated. At the end of our meal, it takes about half an hour to get the bill and then another half hour to pay.

the only vegan options as of August 2025 are tabbouleh, hummus, and bread. Main dishes could not be adjusted in a way that would justify the price. Other reviews that mention vegan options probably refer to items not available anymore. Still tasty, but if you are vegan make sure to check the updated menu.

The starters and drinks were really good. But when we asked for ‘Medium’ for our T Bone and Tagliatta were unfortunately nearly ‘well done’, When this was mentioned to the server, we received a defensive response that this was cooked according to temperature guidelines. Maybe the person who cooked this doesn’t know that the steak after you take it off the grill it continues to cook and obviously this was not taken into account for us to receive a well-done meat. Apart from that..lovely place with great potential with the right chef.

Looks nice but food quite average (especially pasta and risotto ) . Not much vegetarian dishes - only meat - not so modern .
