Nature & Parks
Park
Rock Bridge Memorial State Park, located just minutes from Columbia, Missouri, is a prime example of karst topography. The Devils Icebox and Sinkhole Trail takes hikers through prominent features such as Devils Icebox, Connors Cave, numerous sinkholes, and the namesake Rock Bridge. This trail offers a unique experience with two subterranean sections. The park's namesake is a natural limestone formation that has been shaped over time through erosion.
Rock Bridge State Park is one of my favorite Missouri trials because of the views and accessibility. This park is wonderful for people of all ages; especially for families! We love exploring the Devil's Icebox Cave and the Sinkhole short trail. There are parts on the trail that are easily accessible by following the wood-planked walkway, but there are also "off the beaten path" trails and spots to ride your bike. Rock Bridge State Park is absolutely beautiful and is a "Must Visit" outdoor spot in Columbia, MO!

Great hiking. The devils ice box cave was very cool. There is a little store to buy ice, drinks and other items. The ground keeper was very helpful helping us find our way around.

Very cool and easy hike! Bring the family! Even if the grandparents or folks that cant do stairs or rocky uneven ground ; you can get real close and not feel left behind by those that walk inside to check it out.
Annette A — Google review
Really a top notch park that clicked all the buttons for me. Nice hikes, caves, tons of historical information about the wagon trails, former occupants, whisky distillery and other businesses that were in this hollow. The last photo I posted shows the crumbling foundation of the distillery(you have to look closely) seen in one of its three iterations (it burned down fairly regularly) in the previous picture. Most of the hiking trails were good for most people.

Went there several times. Great hour long hiking experience near Mizzou. The icebox cave is also great.

Nice easy hike to the rock bridge and cool checking out the cave. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.

Nice park. A bit worn down and not maintained as well as it could be but that may also be from over use? Anywho... Stopped by for a short leg stretch from traveling and hiked to the Bridge and Icebox. Tracked just under a mile. Busy place!

Wonderful hiking trails. Plenty of parking available. Toilets are not the cleanest.

Stephens Lake Park is a serene oasis in the midst of the city, offering a picturesque lakefront boardwalk, picnic shelters, and well-maintained trails. The park's glistening lake and paved trails provide an ideal setting for romantic strolls or invigorating runs. Families can enjoy the playgrounds and free WiFi while taking in the beautiful scenery of flowers and trees along the trail.
Beautiful, very accessible park. There's a great loop around the lake, and there are also trails that lead further away which I'm still exploring! The place is versatile in that there is something for people of all ages: swimming, fishing, play equipment, walking/running/biking trails, BBQ areas, open grassy areas.

Quiet, beautiful spot for a short walk! It wasn’t too crowded on a Sunday morning in the spring. The park was clean and safe. Would love to come back for a show at the amphitheater sometime!
D L — Google review
We went pretty early in the morning, around 9, and we were the first ones there! We had the run of the place until maintenance showed up to empty trash and rake the sand. There were some leftovers from the day before (some clothes in the sand, some trash, and a kid's bike that I hope they found) but overall it was in great condition! Just before we left, it got a little crowded. Overall it was a great experience. Will definitely have to go back.

Absolutely beautiful! Playground with swings, bathrooms, a large lake that you can fish in and a large walking trail! You can rent out the large room that has ac, plenty of grass and shady trees as well!

A great place in the middle of Columbia! There's always so many different people using the park for different things ; parties, biking, jogging, walking, fishing, playing on the playground, jumping across the big rocks, and enjoying the views.

The David R. Francis Quadrangle is a 33-acre historic center located within the University of Missouri. It features six famous columns and gardens that are an important part of the university's history. The atmosphere around the quad is lively, with people lounging, studying, playing football or catch games. It's a favorite spot on campus for many visitors and students alike.
A must see in Columbia The university of Missouri campus is very energetic and upbeat and lovely people around here. Lot of dining options

What the Arch is to St Louis, the columns are to Columbia. With a large open field, the quad is a great place for photos and people watching. It's flanked by historic buildings, including the beautiful Jesse Hall where you'll see beautiful stained glass windows and Thomas Jefferson's original headstone.
Lisa T — Google review
Campus is beautiful and well kept. Students were so friendly helping with directions and photo taking.

Beyond expectations! A lot of history here. Thomas Jefferson's original tombstone, 500 years old stone lions from Confucius hometown, A stone from House of Parliament. Beautiful landscaping and buildings.

A place for lots of Mizzou activities. Has a good view of Jesse Hall and the tiger statue. I would check with Mizzou if you want to host an activity here because I'm pretty sure you need permits.

I have a MIZZOU college grad! This location on campus is very picturesque! I probably fell in love with the campus quicker than my student did! It was a beautiful graduation weekend and it’s best to see this location at night IMO

A mellow, collegiate lab lunch pad for relaxation. The Quad is a gorgeous, historic, and welcoming arena on the MU campus where you’ll often find me sprawled out with a good book or catching up on assignments

One of the most beautiful university scenes ANYWHERE in the world. A classic. Be sure to check out one of the newer features, the bronze Thomas Jefferson, along with his original obelisk-shaped grave-marker, on the East side of the quadrangle.

State park
Nature & Parks
Finger Lakes State Park provides a trail system for off-road vehicles, camping, boating, hiking and fishing. The campsites are not entirely even and show tracks and ruts from tires. There seems to be more litter than the average state park which could be attributed to either the people of Columbia or the enthusiasts who frequent it. During peak season one can only imagine what this place may look like or sound like with all its amenities including vending machines.
Havent been here in 20 years. I have to say they have done a great job with the park. Lots of new improvements and added amenities to the entire park. The trails were great. Everything from fast and fun, to technical and challenging, and of course if you want mud you can find it easy enough. The motocross track hadn't been prepped in a while, but was still rideable, and the jump faces were all pretty good. We will be bringing our boys again for sure.
Danny J — Google review
We stopped in on Labor Day weekend, so you know it was busy, but they still had kayaks available. The water was a little stagnant but still a lovely paddle! The checkout system of kayaks was really easy too, they have them in lockers that you access and lock back up yourself right there at the beach. And you can’t beat the price!
Brittany — Google review
My visit to this park was solely for the purpose of hiking the Kelley Branch Mountain Bike Trail. While I thought the trail was "okay" I can see how this park would be very popular with bikers, ORV enthusiasts, anglers, and hunters. While I can't comment on the campgrounds, I imagine they're good - the park is certainly large enough to afford some camping privacy. There's also a "pump track" where I saw someone skateboarding. This place is probably a blast for families!
Debra A — Google review
The park was nice things were well kept besides the bathrooms. The toilets were okay but the showers there are pretty gross.
Olivia R — Google review
Really nice lake with a large assortment of activities including ATV trails fishing and camping. There is an abundance of wildlife and a large amount of deer.
Kameljoe21 — Google review
Really cool campground! We do not have an ATV, but we booked this park since it was the only one available by us for Memorial Day weekend. We couldn't hear the atv's except when they drove to and from their campsites. The lake was beautiful and the beach was fun! Good amount of stars in the night sky. The playground was nice as well. These were the cleanest bathrooms I've come across at a campground. The camp sites were a good size, so that was nice. And there were so many butterflies at our site! The only downside to park was the amount of cigarette butts on the camp site, and lots of people smoking cigarettes on the beach.
Meagan R — Google review
Fingers Lakes State Park has a lot to offer for multiple visits. Most notably in my mind is the kayaking. They have a kind of kayaking course so you can run the length of the lakes, while also giving you a structure (like a hiking trail on water) and it's very beginner friendly. After you get used to it, do at night! I haven't yet, but I did confirm they don't prohibit night paddling, which is awesome! Make sure to bring a headlamp, a backup light, and always wear your life jacket! Additionally they have off-roading trails for motorized and pedal powered transportation, picnic areas, camping, grills, and it appears fishing, which I'm guessing is stocked. There are no fees, and it looks like the park stays pretty busy. I also spotted a pretty massive snapping turtle crossing the road while I was there!

This is a Missouri State Park, off I 40, then off 63 N of Columbia. Just an overnight visit for us. Cold night ( down to 17 F) so we were the only campers/ visitors in the entire park ! So many trails, but dirt bikes and other ORVs allowed so maybe not a great place to hike. I m sure its gorgeous in the spring- fall with all the deciduous trees leafed out and all the pretty lakes throughout the park. We enjoyed a walk and gorgeous sunset. No showers or regular bathroom in this off season, just pit toilets w/ metal seats in a small shed. We had an electric site w/ its parking area paved and gravel area w/ picnic table and fire pit. With tax & online booking fee it was $29/ night. No park rangers or camp hosts. Firewood avail during reg season.

The Mizzou Arena is a basketball facility located at the University of Missouri. It has a seating capacity of over 15,000 and features private boxes and dining options. The arena provides an excellent viewing experience with great seats available in the third or fourth row. While food inside the venue can be expensive, it is still an affordable option for families seeking entertainment. Additionally, there are numerous views throughout the arena that offer different perspectives depending on individual preferences.
Very nice facility, 2nd time I’ve been here. This time for a women’s basketball game, too bad they don’t garner more fan support. Place has clean restrooms, plenty of concessions, a Dickey’s BBQ. Parking is a breeze for the events I’ve been to here, might be much different for a men’s game. Cool venue.

Nestled in the heart of Columbia, Missouri, Sycamore Restaurant offers a warm and inviting dining experience that beautifully reflects its namesake tree—rooted in community and ever-evolving with the seasons. This charming eatery showcases a menu filled with seasonal New American dishes crafted from fresh, organic ingredients sourced from local farmers and ranchers.
We were seated quickly on a busy Friday evening. I ordered the Beet Salad and the Tuna Salad Sandwich and we ordered a liter of the delicious red house wine. Our server, Ron was friendly and attentive. The food was all so tasty and fresh! If I could give it more stars I would. So good and a nice gem in the heart of downtown Columbia.

Great atmosphere and tasty food. The trout was cooked to perfection and served with an amazing dressing and vegetables. My only concern was that the table for eight was really small for 8 adults to sit around and eat comfortably.
Praghalathan K — Google review
I am currently finishing my Malbec at the bar, and I have to listen to employees talking about their stress and concerns of working in the restaurant. I spent fifty dollars on lunch to hear about restaurant business. At this moment, I am the only individual at the bar and the two gentlemen are one chair away from me. So do we need to teach social skills? As a patron, don’t we need to consider conversations that do not apply to guests. Do we need to teach employees the difference between “being on-stage versus off-stage?” I want to eat my lunch in peace and detach from my own work. This is unbecoming.

Lovely atmosphere, great service and pretty good food. My chicken sandwich was huge and cooked very well. Appetizers were good and the fries were perfect. Wife says the ice cream was too boozy though (that's a her thing though) and we both thought the apples were undercooked. Overall a nice meal.

Went for a dinner meeting on a Monday. It was loud from conversations, so not the best choice for quiet conversation. Had the Salmon salad and lamb kabob. Lamb cooked well but underseasoned to my pallet. Smoked salmon salad was nicely not overdressed, and I would get it again. Service was maybe a little slow. Cheesecake desert was good and recommendable.
John M — Google review
I should have listened to the server's recommendations for food. He advised against the Gnocchi (I'm a veg so the options were limited). It wasn't very good. Too mushy and chewy, not much flavor. The appetizers and my partners salmon was great.

If you are coming here for a cheap meal you wont find it here. If you want to have excellent food in a nice environment for a good date then you will not be dissapointed. I ordered the steak and it did cost me a little bit, but for the flavor that came with my meal, it was absolutely worth every penny. My wife had some pasta dish.... I tried some and it was delicious. This is definitely on my list of date night restaraunts.

First time visiting the establishment and felt very comfortable walking in. Has that old charm feel. Our waitress ( starts w/a K) was absolutely the very best. Was very patient, explaining the chef's desire for freshness and everything to be made from scratch, including the ingredients from the bar. This would the reason the food was absolutely delicious. Was priced on the higher-end, which is the case at most restaurants nowadays, but I truly feel that here, you get what you pay for.

Breakfast restaurant
Cafe Berlin is a popular spot in the North Village Arts District, known for its hipster vibe and spacious patio. It's a great choice for hearty breakfast and lunch options, including the famous Butch Jones bacon and egg wrapped in a large pancake with apples and sauce. The cafe also caters to vegan diners with offerings like oven-baked potato chips, sweet potato, and fresh juices.
This place was awesome! It was our first time going, we had about a 10 minute wait to get seated. They had a waiting area inside and had jurassic park on VHS playing. This place has an awesome vibe and very nice friendly staff. We were seated and given water and got their fresh squeezed orange juice and hot Chai Latte(both were very good) we ordered the "just breakfast" which had choice of eggs, meat and 2 sides. I ordered side of biscuit and gravy with seasoned potatoes and my wife got the same with French toast instead of potatoes. The over easy eggs were cooked to perfection and the biscuits and gravey were very good!! The French toast was gigantic and very tasty. I would rate this place higher if I could and consider this one of the best breakfast spots in Columbia.

Hands down the best brunch and breakfast spot in CoMo! There’s often a bit of a wait, and for good reason. The place is always packed, which speaks volumes about the quality of the food. I absolutely loved their breakfast menu, every bite was super delicious and totally worth it!!

We had a tasty and wholesome breakfast here. There was not a long wait on a busy Sunday morning. Friendly service with a smile. Reasonable prices for quality here. Cozy seating inside and roomy patio seating outside.
John H — Google review
Their food is genuinely good. However fix your menu writing and fix your customer service. We ordered pancake wrapped around egg and bacon and then apples and red onions. Please read the pic for Butch Jones DESCRIPTION. My daughter loves all of those. Much to her dismay she got chilie powdered sauce and andoullie sausge.... not in the description. But below that there is a similar sounding dish with very detailed description. How is someone to know that, did it say referring to the item below.... nope. She's 7, spicy is not her jam and if we knew it was we would not have ordered it. Server asked , would you like something else for her, sorry, tried to explain it.... there is no explaining that we cannot read minds of who ever wrote the menu. They charged us for what we ordered next for her. We stilled tipped 20% bc she is not getting a living wage (yay U.S.) But please fix this, own your mess us. And give a distraught kid, whose tongue was burning, a free meal.

Veggie scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes and sour dough toast. Delicious and made alpha-gal friendly.
Carla — Google review
Wanted to love this place but maybe I ordered wrong. I loved they had unique breakfast options and aren’t stuck in a rut like many brunch places. I asked the waitress for a few recs and she suggested the vegetarian biscuit and gravy with eggs. (Called the starving artist I think). I found it flat in flavor. The gravy overwhelmed the dish and was excessively fatty. It lacked complexity and brightness to balance the dish. Maybe had there been more spinach and tomato it would have worked but it was just off for me. The biscuit was tasty. I managed to salvage some from the gravy.
Sophia W — Google review
I visited Café Berlin with a friend on a Sunday. While the wait line was expected, we were told it would be around 20 minutes. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting for over an hour. I understand that wait times can vary, but the estimate wasn’t even close, which was frustrating. On the positive side, our waitress was very friendly and patient. We asked if the eggs were pasteurized, and although she didn’t know right away, she made the effort to go to the kitchen and find out for us, which I appreciated. However, the food was disappointing. I ordered the eggs Benedict, and even the English muffin had a sour taste. Overall, the meal was not to my liking, and unfortunately, Café Berlin is not a place I’d return to based on this experience.
Elma — Google review
Fun and convenient cafe in Columbia, Missouri with some great food and friendly staff. I woupd recommend stopping by and grabbing a spot outside in the shade before it gets too hot. The food was great and the staff were around constantly to help us out. I would also recommend trying the Just Breakfast and the Huevos Rancheros. We also got a side of bacon that was cooked to perfection.

Pizza restaurant
Shakespeare's Pizza - Downtown is a laid-back spot known for its delicious pizza pies, salads, craft beer, cocktails, and wine. The original location was torn down and rebuilt at the corner of Ninth and Elm streets but still maintains its feel-good atmosphere. The signature pizza, "The Masterpiece," features a combination of toppings that has gained national attention. Many consider Shakespeare's to be the best pizza place in Columbia, serving up tasty pizzas since 1973 with three locations around town.
Working in Columbia this week, and of course, we had to stop by Shakespeare's Pizza--one of the city's most iconic spots. This was probably my fourth or fifth time visiting, so I already knew we were in for something good. We started with a 10-piece garlic bread to share, which hit the spot right away. Each of us ordered our own pizza, and I decided to try the meat lover's for the first time. It was a bit greasy (as expected with all the meats), but they definitely don't hold back on the toppings--it was loaded and absolutely delicious. The place has plenty of seating and gives off a cool, old-school restaurant vibe that adds to the experience. The staff was friendly, quick, and efficient, and the service overall was top-notch. Shakespeare's never disappoints. It's a must-visit every time I'm in Columbia, and I'll definitely be back again.

Lovely and kind staff. I used to live in Columbia as a kid and coming back to Shakespeare's Pizza is like coming home. So much history. The pizza being bomb is the bonus! Try the sausage! Some of the best I've had.

Another place we would hang out at during my college days at Mizzou. While on a business trip to Columbia, I took my colleagues to Shakespeare's one night and we had a blast! The pizza was amazing and we all went down memory lane about our different colleges in different parts of the country.

When your in Columbia, you must have the pizza. Ollies salad has my bride hooked and the pizza is amazing. Order at the counter find a seat and wait for your slice or pie to bake. So good
Nick R — Google review
One of the best pizza places in town, and without a doubt, the most famous one yet! From the moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly baked dough and sizzling toppings sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. Their pizzas are juicy, flavorful, and prepared with fresh ingredients all day, every day. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this spot is a must-try. The location is conveniently close to Mizzou, making it a perfect stop for students and visitors alike. If you enjoy dining outdoors, the restaurant offers a cozy and inviting outdoor seating area, ideal for soaking up the atmosphere while enjoying your slice. This place is a hard recommend for anyone new to town or looking for a reliable, delicious spot to grab quality pizza.

We visited Columbia Missouri for the Texas A&M /Mizzou game and decided to come here after the game. My 18 year old son said this was the best pizza he's ever had. We ordered a largem and took it back to our hotel since we couldn't finish it all. We had it for breakfast since it was so good we didn't want it to go to waste before we drove home. If you're someone visiting Columbia, treat yourself and go here. Be aware there will be a wait, and a hunt for a table of you go right after the game, but it'll be worth it.
Marty L — Google review
Always enjoyed Shakespeare's pizza when we lived in Columbia. We were looking forward to enjoying a pie during our recent stay in town but, after acknowledging they do deliver, Shakespeare's indicated they wouldn't deliver to our hotel. The claim was our hotel was out of their delivery range. When we left the hotel to get some food we saw a Shakespeare's delivery vehicle parked outside our hotel. A subsequent call to the restaurant to inquire resulted in a hang up. We'll be sure to let all of our former neighbors know about our terrible experience.

Murry's, a Columbia institution since 1985, is known for its eclectic American menu and live jazz music five nights a week. The restaurant was created with the mission of providing a space for adults to enjoy good food and great music without strict protocols. The ambiance at Murry's is described as fabulous, with low lighting and live jazz performances adding to the overall experience. The menu offers a variety of options including steaks, salmon, sandwiches, and more.
This place was absolutely fantastic and I can't wait to go back. Everything was cooked to perfection and seasoned flawlessly. We were immediately surprised when we had the first course which happened to be their onion rings. My husband decided to order the onion rings and I ordered the fries with Brie cheese dip so we could try both. They brought a large amount of onion rings and offered to bring it as an appetizer so we had something to eat while we waited for our main courses. My husband ordered the double pork patty sandwich and I had a grilled cheese. The fries and Brie were a little spicy but they went really well together. The grilled cheese was really good even though I'm pretty picky about grilled cheese. I tried a couple bites of my husband's pork and it tasted amazing. It came with barbecue sauce but the seasoning was perfect and didn't need any sauce. We tried to come back a week later but they had a 25-minute wait on a Tuesday. No surprise- their food is phenomenal. If I didn't have so many tasks tonight, we would have waited. I've been thinking about those onion rings all week. Truly spectacular. I also want to add that their prices are very reasonable for the experience that we had. I like the low lighting and the aesthetics of their establishment.

Sarah, our server, was an absolute delight. She was attentive despite how busy things got, and if she wasn't available to help us, the other wait staff were always on standby and ready to assist with things like clearing plates, filling water, etc. I got the Filet, and it was cooked to perfection. My partner got the Fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli, mushrooms, and double chicken as add-ons and he absolutely loved it. The Filet was not the most seasoned thing I've ever had, but the meat itself was excellent. The fries were soggy and kind of disappointing, and mostly overdone, but the garlic cheese bread made up for it. If you're looking for garlic cheese bread that is more cheese than it is bread, congrats! You've come to the right place! We got the larger option of cheese bread, and it was the good type of cheese that sticks to the roof of your mouth but melts perfectly. Definitely recommend. We aren't even from the area, but by far this is definitely one of the best places I've gone for food. Not to mention the atmosphere was delightful with quiet soft jazz in the background and dim lighting that does wonders for those with oversensitivity issues with eyes and lights. Overall 8/10 definitely recommend. Thanks again, Sarah!

Well, over 2000 people have reviewed this place, so I'm not adding anything, but I wanted to try it, so why not? I found it quaint and lively all at once. Pretty good atmosphere, which is great because it looks like nothing from the outside. A good old-fashioned restaurant feel. I had the frog legs and philly. Both were good. The philly had a really nice beef flavor that a lot of places lose in the philly making process, or because they just use low quality meat. That wasn't the case here. Service was good. Almost exceptional. Very good. Kept up with me quite often, and made sure I had what I needed. Got seated quickly too, ahead of time expectations. Biggest issue is parking. Good luck. Lol Overall great place.

This was my first time here. We came on a Monday night and the place was packed and on a wait! I ordered the Ahi Tuna with our servers recommendations of adding pesto, tomatoes, and feta cheese. We also had the frog legs and they were amazing!

Great place! It's a jazz café but really is more about the food and service. My wife and I found a place at the bar and ordered drinks and appetizers. We had whiskey and wine to go with our sardines (amazing) and Craig's bread also quite good. The wife went for the chicken tortilla soup as many wives do, but it was the service from Daniel the bartender that was top notch. He had a packed lunch crowd and seemed to keep up on drink orders and food. If new in town I highly recommend sitting at the bar and asking about around town, you won't regret it.

We had a wonderful meal at Murray’s. Our server was great. She helped us make a great meal selection. We both had the bone-in pork chops. At the servers suggestion we split an order of onion rings. These were thin sliced and breaded. We split a dinner salad as well. Murray’s is known for its mashed potatoes so we split that as well. They were delicious. We both had a drink and with splitting our sides the cost of the meal was very reasonable. This a great place to a nice dinner out. They had live music as well when we were there. Highly recommend this place.

Wonderful experience. Will return again!! Started with the Artichoke hearts + fried eggplant. Both were impressively delicious. Entree was fettuccine which they allowed me to customize with more artichoke, mushrooms and clams = perfection! House martini was also enjoyed after the friendly recommendation of other patrons. Jason was a friendly, helpful and attentive server and bartender.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants in all of mid-Missouri. The tuna pesto sandwich is absolutely delicious. Quality live music if you are there at the right time, adds to the atmosphere. Great service, reasonable prices - what more can you ask for?

If you're on the hunt for a contemporary dining experience in Columbia, MO, look no further than Flyover. This modern eatery specializes in New American small plates crafted from local and seasonal ingredients, all cooked to perfection in a wood-fired oven. Owners Adam Wells-Morgan and Dan Dethrow have cultivated an atmosphere that celebrates Midwestern culture while delivering exceptional service and delicious food.
I highly recommend the pretzel. It's an $18 pretzel worth trying. I am told the menu changes, so I will definitely be a returning customer to sample what else the chef has to offer. The idea is to order multiple items from the menu and share. Price average is around $20 a dish.

Service was extremely pleasant, prompt, and professional. We ordered the Orecchiette con Salsiccia e Arancia, Char Siu Pork, and Blueberry Thyme cake. The food was phenomenal. We will be back.

We arrived at about 8pm on a Friday night at was able to sit at the bar immediately. Ethan, the host, was very warm and welcoming as was every staff we interacted with. Everyone really seemed to enjoy working there which is very rare. The bartenders were awesome! My wife and I had a tom collins and smoked old fashioned and they were so good. It was a lot of fun watching the bartenders make the drinks. We ordered the cauliflower (superb flavors and pairings!), the cheese pizza (the crust was so good!) and then finished with the cheesecake (very interesting pairings but so good!). I finished off with a coffee and cannot say enough about this place.

Found this gem while stopping over in Columbus, MO. Friendly staff to try and accommodate us at 9pm. We sat at the bar. We ordered the Bread and Butter which was a great start and a must try! We ordered the Burnt End of the Line pizza and Midwest Carnitas. The pizza crust was so good. I was expecting BBQ but it wasnt, at least I dont think so. I cant pick out the layers of flavors. The Carnitas you had to take with each bite of silky sweet potato puree. Then the Lemon Pistachio Cake, oh have mercy! My husband took a bite and just said Oh Wow, one of the best, balanced desserts we've ever had! Go! Eat! Enjoy!

We don't frequent Columbia's culinary scene too often (being from Austin, TX), but anytime we are able to venture north and visit family here, Flyover has become an absolute must. The food is fantastic. Period. Having grown up in "these here parts" and years later building a palette for amazing food in ATX, this is a place that stands so much taller than most restaurants in this part of the state. Seriously. You can't go wrong with the pretzels, mac and cheese, catfish, any pizza, or the many other tasty options they keep fresh by changing the menu every so often. Cocktails are equally awesome and the service consistently provides a level of professionalism / team work that is so very apparent. The evening started with some humor too as a host walked into the patio screen door, but took it like a champ, bouncing right back into action in spite of our trying to hold laughter in. You can't go wrong with Flyover. Stop reading and head that way now.

We shared the pretzel bites, Burnt End of the Line Pizza, Fettuccine Bolognese, and Thai Basil Chicken—everything was excellent. Great flavors and portions, and our waitress was fantastic. The only letdown was the smoked strawberry pistachio cheesecake, which had too much liquid smoke and odd flavors in the toppings, though the cheesecake itself was good. Overall, great spot and we’ll definitely be back for the savory dishes.

★★★★★ (5/5) Visited Flyover and had an excellent dining experience. We ordered the chicken-fried cauliflower, the summer salad with candied walnuts and strawberries, and the chicken breast in curry sauce with rice. Everything came out promptly and tasted fantastic—far exceeding my expectations. Each dish was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The staff was stellar: attentive, friendly, and very helpful with recommendations. Considering the quality and generous portions, the value here is excellent. Highly recommend Flyover for anyone looking for delicious food, quick service, and great hospitality.

I highly recommend Flyover. Reservations are a must because seating is limited (tables and a bar). The food is delicious and served family-style if you choose (recommended to order a couple of dishes and share, which is fun). The food was delicious, and the service was extremely great, even with a busy evening. It seems the whole staff pitches in the serve and deliver food/drinks, which is nice. A tight, comfy, cozy, and enjoyable dining experience. Again, it is highly recommended!!
