Zoo
Zoos & Aquariums
Nestled in the scenic Glen Oak Park, Peoria Zoo is a delightful destination for animal lovers and families alike. Established in 1955, this historic zoo spans 14 acres and showcases over 230 animals from more than 100 species worldwide, including some endangered varieties. Visitors can marvel at captivating exhibits like the African area featuring majestic giraffes, lions, and rhinos, as well as the Asian Trail where Siberian tigers roam.
We always stop here on our annual road trips east. Is it's small (compared to what we are used to in Omah), quaint, and fun! My kids love it! We really enjoy the Australian Walkabout with the emu and the wallabies where they are free roaming and the humans are confined to the path. There are numerous opportunities to learn and see a variety of different species. It will continue to be a regular stop for us to enjoy this gem in Peoria.

Not worth the $50 for a family of 5. Half the exhibits were closed. The lighted glow structures were pretty and we were impressed with the white rhinos and tiger. Everything else was lackluster.
AC Q — Google review
So I went to the zoo today I’m in town visiting a friend and relaxing. Had nothing to do this afternoon or this morning so I decided I wanted to go to the zoo. The Peoria zoo allows service animals Myself and my service animal went to the zoo We get there and I can only assume it’s the manager. I don’t know if it was the manager or supervisor, but the gentleman approached me when I came in to the counter to pay for my entry to the zoo and he asked me is this service dog I said she is my service animal due to a medical condition and he looks at me almost like it’s disbelief like he’s like oh are you sure ask me again and I say yes and he’s like then he asked me again and I’m like yes it is my service animal She is a dog. She is here with me because I need her and what she does for me you are causing the issue right now of why she’s about to provide service to me in a moment because he was killing my anxiety. He’s like well. I have people that come in all the time that say their dogs are service dogs and they bark out of control and I kick him out or tell him not to come back and You can pay and if your dog barks or lunges or jump it anyone I’m gonna have you removed from the zoo? I’m like OK fine no problem with that. As I’m thinking of myself like this, dude didn’t have to do all all that some of that is common sense and some of it’s perfectly acceptable to do if someone service dog or ““ service animal supposed is making a disturbance you can ask them to leave if my dog barks or does anything inappropriate you don’t have to ask me to leave. I’m gonna feel embarrassed and humiliated. I’m gonna leave myself and take my dog with me But all the while I’m thinking to myself like dude you asked me what you’re allowed to ask me now you can ask me the other two questions that you’re allowed to ask me, but please stop trying to insinuate that you don’t believe my dog is a service animal and you’re trying to give me The opportunity to back out of it We spent a couple hours in your facility, walking around seeing all the animals that were out. My dog encountered a tiger didn’t make a peep. My dog saw rhino didn’t make a peep. My dog saw a giraffe walk right up to her at the window and stare at her and look, and my dog didn’t make a peep. All the students that were there all the kids that were there for the day my dog didn’t lunch out or pull out or try and get it any of them So while you were more worried about whether my dog really was a service animal or not when we left, you could’ve come up and said thanks for coming and done something to try and recognize how well-behaved my service animal is all you had to do was simply say something like sorry I hope you didn’t think I was giving you a hard time Something like that just to recognize that but no, you were going more towards the front at the beginning, seeming like you’re trying to assume that my dog is not a real service animal I don’t know why maybe because she’s a smaller dog maybe because she’s a miniature schnauzer and not a larger dog that some people are most people might assume is the service dog I don’t know maybe that’s why Something else that I encountered, there was some of the most polite children that are at the zoo not one time did someone try and come up to touch or distract my dog several of the kids that would walk by would ask me can I pet your dog and I’d say Sorry not now thank you for asking and their parents would even tell them that was a great job you did it asking back home. Everyone just would’ve stuck their hand out at the dog and tried to pet her.

This place doesn’t even deserve any stars. The zoo here is just a big scam and the zootober event was the worse experience ever. They were stingy with the candy, half the food and drinks were expensive too. The “family events” which were just coloring was atleast a little fun, they weren’t too creative with this, I’ve seen school events better than this. Mind you, it’s 15 for each person so it all came up to around 60 there was no price different with kids and adults. The decorations were just giving “I’m too lazy”. I was very upset about this whole thing cause I spent around 63. They also don’t explain enough on the website, like prices of things. If you should bring your own buckets or if they have bags, what type of events they are going to have and so on. The person that wrote out everything about the event was lazy. I wish I could get a refund cause the whole thing was terrible and my siblings were upset.

We went for Fathers and Floats on Fathers Day. We enjoyed the exhibits and clean facilities. We appreciated the warning of the "splash zone" when the lemurs were crossing over the bridge. Not a disappointment, we enjoyed the stay.

What a treasure to our community! ...did you know you can get married here and have your reception?! It is truly one of the most unique places I have photographed. Feeling the giraffes is such a cool memory! I can't wait to be back here photographing weddings!

Its a small zoo but a zoo nonetheless, if you live here with kids its worth it! You can go all year round. Perfect size.

Specialty Museums
Located in Downtown Peoria, the Peoria Riverfront Museum is a multifaceted art and science museum that offers a diverse range of attractions. Affiliated with the Smithsonian Institute, it regularly showcases prized artifacts from the Smithsonian catalogue. The museum features permanent exhibits spanning science and art, including the 1898 Duryea Motor Trap, one of the earliest gasoline-powered cars ever sold. Visitors can also enjoy shows at its giant-screen theater and dome planetarium.
This museum was a fantastic experience!!! Not only were there several wonderful exhibits, including some gorgeously detailed cars, and several art instillations (both professional and folk), but the entrance also included shows at the planetarium! Also, if screens are your thing, they have a theatre with the second largest screen in Illinois! The real treasure, though, were the staff. Multiple guides were present around the exhibits, enriching the experience with many fascinating facts and stories behind particular pieces, and one gentleman in particular guided us through a great deal of artworks, ensuring that we found something entertaining for both the adults and children in our group! I can't thank them enough, as well as everyone who makes that museum possible!!!
Miguel B — Google review
We didn't get to see much because our toddler ended up getting too tired but the staff were super friendly and we saw some gorgeous art. The gift shop was probably my favorite part because they had cello socks. (I got super geeked about that as I am a cello player lol) But they had a wide variety of items from toys and notebooks to magnets and room decor.

Wow, what an incredible experience! My family opted to purchase the pass, which granted us complimentary entry to numerous other museums and science centers. Additionally, we received discounts on tickets to other attractions if the entry fee was free. This trip allowed us to immerse our kids in diverse cultures. From the vibrant car culture, which encompassed various subcultures like bikers, truckers, low riders, and artists of all kinds, to the fascinating planetarium show, we were captivated by the exhibits. We were so impressed that we ended up wanting to watch several more shows. However, I must admit that the lady at the counter was not particularly receptive to our requests. We wanted our daughter to participate in the scavenger hunt, but it seemed like she was having a rough day or perhaps didn’t enjoy her job. Despite this, we managed to get our daughter involved. The gift shop at the museum was also quite extensive and offered a wide range of souvenirs.
Dennis R — Google review
We have a 7-year old, and I wasn’t sure if there would be enough for them to do/keep their attention. We made the decision to go on a free day, and that made all the difference. There were extra activities set up in the lobby geared toward kids. Had we paid for a normal day, I don’t think the regular museum exhibits would have captivated her long enough to justify the admission price. As an adult, there were interesting displays and exhibits. All told, with the lobby “extras” and a planetarium show we watched, we probably spent 3 hours here.

Tons of fun!! The dinosaur exhibit was very, very cool! We all enjoyed it. I discovered Neil Welliver (artist of the winter landscape) through one of their art displays and he might be a new favourite for me!

Great value! Great exhibits! Some change, while some stay the same. Definitely worth the visit for the whole family! Right now the Titanic Secret Mission is there for the first time anywhere in the world!

Love the Giant Screen...52' high by 70' across! If you haven't seen a movie there, wait no longer, it's an experience you'll remember. We have been attending some excellent movies through the Bradley OLLI classes. We see the other movies offer there too, wonderful selection. The theater seats are very comfortable and the air temperature in the theater is good to,however, bring a jacket just in case. We enjoy a bag of popcorn and a soda. Nice clean restrooms are close by to use before and after your movie. Enjoy!

The museum features interactive exhibits, driving simulators, and displays of Caterpillar machinery from vintage to modern.
My almost 2 year old loved this place and threw a whole tantrum when we had to leave. Great for kids of all ages and the gift shop has some pretty fancy items that aren't too pricey. They've also got a great selection of stuff in there from shirts and toys to pocket knives and stress squeeze toys. We came to visit Peoria from Michigan and we have had an absolute blast.

We loved the Caterpillar Visitors Center! I can't get my husband to go to places like this, however, he enjoyed the CAT visitors center very much. He really enjoyed the simulators and seeing the equipment. While I enjoyed the history of Caterpillar. We definitely would recommend.
Jodi W — Google review
The outside of the building is huge and beautifully designed. We were greeted when we walked in. They offered us cookies and coffee, cookies were very good. Seniors were free, we entered with a group of 4H and FAA students. Seating was in the dump bucket of a massive earth mover turned into a movie theater. There are many displays of CAT history. There is a merch store with everything CAT. if you're in the area it's worth seeing.

A very interesting visitor center with many interactive activities that appeal to all ages. It is extremely kid-friendly, featuring impressive displays of both equipment and detailed engineering processes. The sheer size of the equipment is truly breathtaking. We definitely recommend a visit for everyone. Key Changes: Added "that appeal to" to connect activities and ages more smoothly. Used "truly" to amplify "breathtaking.

The Peoria Civic Center is a prominent and spacious venue that has been hosting a wide variety of events and performances for many years. It is home to the Peoria Rivermen ice hockey team and the Bradley University Braves basketball team, making it a popular spot for sports enthusiasts. Additionally, the center features a theater, exhibit hall, and numerous meeting rooms, providing ample space for various types of gatherings.
This is one of the best venues for music. I've seen all sorts of musical acts, the Peoria Rivermen. Tonight was Shinedown with Beartooth. They have returned to Peoria multiple times. The seating is something of the best. The acoustics are awesome, and you get a real show and very intimate performances. It has never disappointed from the pit to the upper decks.

We've been to a lot of events here at the Peoria Civic Center and they never do disappoint! We've been in several different parts of the building seeing different events and honestly we've never even had a bad seat. We've been in the Prairie Home Alliance theater quite a bit and seen a lot of great concerts there. You are able to buy tickets at the box office an hour before the show starts if you didn't buy them online already. Hope you're able to come check out some of the events that they host because I always enjoy the time I'm here! I really miss going to the women's lifestyle show that was discontinued a few years back but we've been to plenty of sales, concerts, car shows, monster truck, plays Etc there are just so many different things going on just get on the website and check it out!

Our first time at the Peoria Civic Center and it's a great place to see a concert or any other venues! We saw headliner Shinedown. Great show, great sound. Would I do it again, yes.
John D — Google review
The arena section is cool. Some decent little food stalls and drink options. Be aware if you're parking in the Marquee area don't expect to get out right away unless you drive aggressive like every other person tries to do. It took about 20-25 minutes to leave because all the cars trying to be bumper to bumper. Everything else was great.
Charlie D — Google review
This place is pretty great to see shows at. We have been a few times and always have a great time! Easy to find your seat, staff friendly and helpful, parking is about a block away and across the street for like $5 so that's not bad at all. Security does a good job too. We have zero complaints and will continue to see our shows here. Great local venue for sure!!

We've attended many events here from basketball and hockey games to concerts, plays, banquets and now high-school and college graduations. Ample parking, accessible bathrooms, easy to get around inside and out.

Stopped here to stretch our legs on a road trip and see a little botanical beauty. We spent probably half an hour touring the green house and grounds. Don't look for extensive collections or a good hiking workout. It's small, but it's free and very nice.

One world is a great local spot to check out. I love their turkey club but as a wrap. The bacon cheese fries slap everytime. My wife got one hell of a burger and she said it was cooked to perfection and was really good. I of course I had the turkey club and it was stuffed with turkey bacon cheese I opted out of the honey Dijon and got ranch and it was so goood! Will definitely come back. The young lady who was our waitress was great. She stayed busy but made sure she stopped by our table as often as she could.

My wife and I wanted to have a quick lunch. We had eaten at One World before always had good service and their food was great. We both had the GYROS PLATTER this time ,turn out to be a great choice! As usual the food and service was excellent. Will eat here again,

Located in an unassuming building near the Bradley campus, this was a good find. Once in, it was a bit confusing because we saw no one, to include a hostess. We could hear patrons somewhere so we waited and someone came to seat us a couple of minutes later and took us to what seemed to be the restaurant side of the house? Once there and seated we got to view all of the themed artwork and items lending themselves to the ambience. It's a very chill and relaxing vibe. The table was clean, as were the utensils, rustic looking floor, and men's bathroom. The waiter was quick and friendly. Our made-from-scratch meals were served pretty quickly and was cooked well. Portions were good and especially for the price. It was noticeably less expensive for the quality of food and expansive options that were provided. Plenty of vegan options available, but I was recommended the Cuban Pulled Pork sandwich and it did not disappoint. Good spices, well cooked, and very filling. We will definitely return and bring friends/family to enjoy.

With the full information that I'm a neanderthal with the palette of a 12 yr old. Really neat little place with a menu that seems over complicated to me, but fortunately they have burgers and pizza in addition to the falderal items. Had a small thin crust sausage pizza. The sauce was sweet, but not too sweet. The crust was crisp and the cheese and toppings were plentiful. The server was quick, polite and attentive along with the rest of the staff being very welcoming. Definitely putting them into my rotation for Peoria visits.

Went there with my friend, and wow, what a view! The atmosphere was really nice, modern but cozy. We had some amazing salads—so fresh and flavorful. The meat dishes were on point too, super juicy and perfectly cooked. Service was friendly, though a bit slow at times. Prices felt a little high, but honestly, the whole experience was worth it. Would definitely come back!

Holy cow is the service fast! The poutine to start was delicious. Then the entrees can out it record time. We were in and out in 40 minutes. There was no rush and we could have stayed longer but we ate our food and left. I recommend this place for some good BBQ.

Easy to find, we called ahead to Blue Duck and then drove there and got in a few minutes early even. Hostess was friendly. Like a lot of noteworthy 'que joints, it's smaller to control flow and operating costs, but it's worth the wait! We got seated at a clean table with clean utensils. Our party of 3 ordered and had food on our table in 10 minutes. Good flavor and the sides were well portioned. I got the 1/2 chicken and it was perfectly cooked. We left full but not stuffed. We'll definitely be back.

BBQ that hits the spot!! The sauce was so flavorful, I couldn't get enough of it. The slaw was southwestern and I didn't expect or love that flavor (I wish I'd asked what it was like first), but everything else was fantastic.

Always great food and friendly service. Options for indoor and outdoor seating. They do not take reservations. Large drink selection. One of my more favorite Caesar salads in town.

*Update! Back again and no disappointment! They had smoked turkey breast available this time around and boy o boy was it delicious. The tacos are always a slam dunk, but the turkey was flavorful and cooked to perfection! Great spot for a friendly cost, delicious meal! My wife consistently raves about Blue Duck's Asian Taco's... which is what she always orders... And i quote "the brisket within the taco is cooked to perfection with the proper amount of seasoning." I always opt for the half chicken with a side of mexican rice, which, for what you get is amazing! Oh and don't forget about the creamy poblano pepper mac n cheese! We will always come back to this spot... so if you are in the area, and are looking for something delicous and savory, don't miss out on the Blue Duck!

Fine dining restaurant
Connected, a sophisticated restaurant in Peoria, was established in 2009 by Chef Troy Ummel, a Culinary Institute of America graduate with over 25 years of experience. The elegant dining room is adorned with chandeliers and live music often fills the space from the mezzanine balcony. The menu offers a delightful fusion of Italian and American cuisine, featuring standout dishes like jumbo gulf shrimp cocktail and the house specialty bone-in broiled veal chop.
Everything about this place was 5 stars! Went for a birthday dinner with my hub, and it was so fancy. I absolutely loved the decor - The dining room is set up to feel like you are sitting outside in Europe under the stars. The food was absolutely spectacular, and despite being extremely full, I managed to inhale my dessert, which was fabulous. Absolutely plan to visit again when we have friends in town.

We hosted our wedding reception at Connected, and while many aspects of the experience were wonderful, I do want to share both the highlights and an important detail that others may want to know. First, the positives: the food was absolutely amazing! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented—our guests are still talking about it. The staff were equally fantastic: professional, kind, and attentive throughout the evening. Tony did a great job of rearranging space to give my husband and I our own table. They truly went above and beyond to make us and our guests feel welcome and taken care of! However, I was disappointed that we didn’t receive full access to the private space as we had originally discussed and planned for. Leading up to the wedding, it was communicated that we would have the entire room, with a minimum spend required to secure it. We met those requirements, but on the day, a curtain was used to divide the space and another party was placed on the other side. This wasn’t what we had expected and, admittedly, it did affect the atmosphere we had envisioned for our reception. That said, I deeply appreciate all the effort the team put into making our day special. I just hope this helps future couples to have clear communication and confirmation on space usage in advance.

I have been here for dinner three times and every time it has been a 10/10. The food is flavorful, fresh, creative, and I never leave wanting more. My favorites are the carpaccio appetizer and wild boar entree. Their cocktails are delicious as well. The staff is genuinely friendly and they make a point to make everyone feel welcomed. I also think that they are fairly priced given the excellent quality of the food and portion size. Peoria is lucky to have Connected.

Using gift cards we got during Christmas time from Costco, my fiancé took me on a fancy date to connected for my birthday! We sat in the entry room and it was absolutely beautiful, with nice soft lights and a built-in water area that set a very nice atmosphere and ambience. Being February, this was one of the coldest weeks of the year, and I was in a shorter dress so I was slightly cold in the entry room (for if it applies to you) but it wasn’t that bad. Walking back to the blue room, which I think was the main area they had a very cool waterfall, and the staff was extremely accommodating and nice. Jaimie and April Helped us, getting us a dessert for both our engagement and my birthday along with a beautiful rose, which was an extremely nice add-on/gesture! We will definitely be returning, next time sitting in the main room 😁😁

This restaurant was highly recommended to us by long time Peoria residents. We are used to fine dining in larger cities like Dallas and San Antonio where we moved from to come back to Peoria. We were seated by the front door next to a large loud party, and though my spouse was 2 feet from me, I could not hear what he was saying. This did not make for a good environmental experience. The waitress was nice, but could not get my drink order correct. She asked twice before she brought me the wrong drink. We did get that straightened out. My husband asked for sweetner for his tea and it took more than 10 minutes for it to come to the table. Soup and salad were unremarkable. Average for taste and presentation. Both my husband and I ordered pasta. I had the ravioli and he chose the Fettuccine Alfredo. My ravioli was "okay." The sauce was basically flavorless and very thin. Not tomato forward or any flavor necessarily. My husband's Fettuccine Alfredo was like soup! The sauce was thin and not creamy and cheesy like good Alfredo should be. Overall, this will be our last visit to this restaurant unless someone invites us and we are obliged to make an exception. I think it is sad that this was supposed to represent fine dining in Peoria. Maybe my expectations are too high but I think Peoria deserves more.

Gastropub
Nestled in the vibrant Warehouse District of Downtown Peoria, Thyme Kitchen and Craft Beer is a delightful bi-level eatery that combines a cozy atmosphere with an impressive selection of craft beverages. With nearly 50 craft beers and around 250 bourbons on offer, this gastropub is a haven for beverage enthusiasts. The menu features creative American dishes like house-smoked short ribs and tuna poke bowls, alongside a special brunch menu available on weekends.
I was at my wits end with the food in Peoria, luckily I came here and had one good meal on my trip. The food was great and the atmosphere was nice I got the fish po boy which was very good and the burgers and chicken sandwich were good as well.

Everything was great except our service. Once we got our delicious food we never saw our waitress again. We really wanted to try some of their Flights, but sadly got discouraged by our poor service. Lauren B.was our server. Once another young lady tracked her down we waited even longer for our check and finally ask another staff to cash us out. It was a real turn off after such good food.

Been here plenty of times but find it a bit inconsistent. Really enjoyed the last visit here. Abnormally quiet for a Thursday but we were sat quickly and the food was fresh. Tried some new things like the NA watermelon mocktail, hummus plate, and pot pie. We were satisfied with these! Their salads are always yummy and a good choice when you want something cold on a hot day.

My husband and I just happened to be in the area and decided to have lunch here a couple weeks ago. I'm a little behind on posting my pictures but the review is still going to be great. Upon walking in we were seated right away, there were quite a few people there but there was still plenty of tables available for a Sunday afternoon. When the waitress seated does she also brought us a large glass bottle of water and two glasses. As you look around the restaurant you notice that there is a loft with more tables and chairs where people are enjoying their lunch. We got the perfect little table, caddy corner right in the corner of the room. It almost felt as if we were the only ones there. We were greeted right away by a waitress and somebody that she was training, both ladies were very sweet. We told her that it was our first time there and she suggested we try and appetizer so we tried the Wisconsin cheese curds, they were beer battered, had white cheddar on the inside, and was served with ranch. They were great! We love going to places and trying different cheese curds and giving it a rating. These are fantastic I would come back just to have them again. For our main entree we both got the fried chicken sandwich. This came with pimento spread, fried onion, chipotle BBQ aioli, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and a potato bun. It seemed a little bit pricey to order this for $17 but I mean, it really seems like the going right now when you do go out to eat. Whike we waited we had some cheese curds and water (that came in a glass jar.) Honestly the water tasted fresh and clean but having it be room temperature water was very unsatisfying. I usually only ever drink water but I guess I could have asked if they had some ice. It just wasn't very refreshing to have it be room temperature. The chicken tasted great I never had one before with pimento cheese on it, it was a really nice addition. I didn't have any room for dessert this time but this was a great meal and we will definitely be returning to try something new on the menu next time!

Absolutely one of my favorite places to drop in. Brock has to be one of the coolest bartenders in #Peoria! 🌟 The food was great! We tried the short rib ragu (🤤) and the tuna poke, and they were both phenomenal. Started off with a couple of dirty martinis, and then the Rasputin. You feel like you have space and privacy here. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area. As a plant-lover, I was excited about the succulent wall. 😂 🌿

Located in downtown Peoria, this place is not real easy to find due to poor signage in my opinion. We stopped in for a late lunch on a Monday and we were just about the only ones in the restaurant. The hostess seated us at a dirty table so our server noticed and had us switch tables. They have an extension Bourbon list so I started with an Old Fashion. They make theirs with Old Forester bourbon which is not my favorite. I should have asked for something different. My wife was pleased they had a nice Gluten Free menu so she ordered the Bison burger with side salad. I ordered their Smoked Meatloaf sandwich. Our meals were brought out by the chef and he noticed he put croutons on my wife's salad which is a big no-no. He also brought her a turkey sandwich? The server admitted it was her mistake so while I ate my sandwich,my wife waited about 10 minutes for her meal . My sandwich consisted of smoked meatloaf on a hoagie roll topped with mashed potatoes, crispy onions and smokey tomato sauce. It was very tasty but I did not really see or tasted mashed potatoes. When my wife received her Bison burger there was blood from the meat on the plate .not very appetizing! She said the burger tho was very good and cooked medium well. Thyme Kitchen offers a variety of unique food items as well as an extensive bar menu but they just need to get their act together.

My husband and I had a pleasant evening out to celebrate my birthday! He ordered the Bison Burger and I ordered the Tuna Poke bowl! Both were very delicious! Just a little loud to be able to talk but we were sitting directly in front of the speaker! Our first time and definitely not our last to Thyme Kitchen!

The food was really good and they have a wonderful beer selection. I hit them right at a shift change while they were trying to set up for a private event, but they were very polite and accommodating for me as a single traveler in town on business. Ella was amazing and I appreciated the GM personally checking on me during my meal. Will add this to my places to return to when I’m back in Peoria!

American restaurant
Rhythm Kitchen Music Cafe is a vibrant and casual riverfront cafe and bar located in Peoria's revitalized River Front. Opened in 1999, the cafe celebrates great music and home-cooked fare with its eclectic live music, open kitchen, and relaxed lounge area. The urban warehouse-style interior and bohemian decor create a hip atmosphere to enjoy global eats like Jamaican jerk chicken, grilled salmon, or gourmet meatloaf with friends.
Wow! This had high ratings and I expected it to be pretty good, but they went well beyond my expectations!!! All the food was perfectly seasoned and super juicy (the meat) and the service was excellent 😁 Awesome mocktails helped make the meal even more enjoyable, but the bread pudding for dessert won my heart over!!

One of my favorite restaurants in Peoria. They have live music every Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM. Their service is impeccable. Their food is the best in town. Wide drink selection that’s very reasonable. I wish I could go here more often and try everything on the menu.

Total hidden gem in downtown Peoria! We popped in on a Tuesday night (jazz night!) and the little trio playing was AMAZING!! Seriously, so much talent packed into an intimate space, it felt like a private concert. The food did not disappoint either. I had the salmon beet salad and it was fresh and delicious. Service was super friendly, and the whole vibe of the place with live music made for such a fun night. It's rare to find a place that nails both the food and the music scene, but this spot absolutely delivers. If you're in Peoria on a Tuesday, check it out. Great food, great music, and a super cool atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

We were greeted warmly as soon as we arrived and treated like VIPs. The lighting is dark and the seating is open. Sound carried well but didn't make conversation difficult for us. The menu had a lot of great options. While mine was good the other 3 people at my table absolutely raved about their food. My dessert was amazing and I would go back just for that. Between the service, entrees, dessert, and atmosphere this is a will-return for sure.

Like a trip to da bottom...atmosphere exceptional...the staff quite involved and knowledgeable. Food ...the barbeque shrimps straight smakin...the hurricane put a lil something something on me...down on the water front...outstanding location... artist has artwork displayed on the restaurant walls and for sale.

What are great find while traveling through town. Our meals were excellent and can’t say enough about the friendly service. Would definitely recommend and stop back again.

I have loved RK since I was in college in the late 90’s. I’m happy it’s still going and it’s nice to see familiar faces when I go back to Peoria to visit. The food is consistently good, the servings are sensibly sized and the prices are reasonable. Always room for one of their delicious desserts. The servers are always friendly and I enjoy getting a table by the kitchen to watch the food being prepared. By now, I’ve had just about every menu item and I’ve never been disappointed. Please never go away.
