Clarksville

Clarksville is a city in north Tennessee. The Customs House Museum, an ornate, Victorian building from 1898, offers local history and art exhibits, plus model trains. Northeast, surrounded by parkland, the vast Dunbar Cave complex dates back thousands of years and has many sinkholes. The McGregor Park Riverwalk follows the meandering Cumberland River. The river's history is traced at the As the River Flows Museum.

Museum
Cultural center
The Customs House Museum and Cultural Center is a vibrant 35,000-square-foot destination that offers an engaging blend of art and science exhibits designed especially for children. Visitors can take advantage of free admission on Second Saturdays or enjoy complimentary access with a paid membership. The main floor features rotating art exhibits, a sports gallery celebrating local athletes from Clarksville, and various historical displays that delve into the city's rich past.
There is a free parking lot for museum visitors on south side of museum; on hill. This is a great museum and I love that it has specialized areas for children and their families. They have a family art studio and area where the kids can explore the city by learning about different trades; plumbing, electricity, market etc. These areas are simply wonderful and if I lived in Clarksville I would bring my great nephews, frequently. I didn’t know Wilma Rudolph was from Clarksville and Pat Summit. They have a great gallery dedicated to individuals in sports etc. I absolutely love the ‘Fly Girls’ exhibit (Oct 13 - Jan 25, 2024) I had never heard of this group and felt so proud to see so many female pilots. These women are/were so inspiring and many lived long lives. I’m it sadly at least 2 dozen were killed while flying. I left wanting to know more about this organization and the women!! They pushed forward through the discrimination by men. Smh So sad that we live in a society where all are created equal but a few feeble minds decide they will create barriers for those who do not look like them!! There is also an old log home on display after you pass through area that house old fire trucks. I absolutely love this and like that the wife of a family member donated house to museum. There is also modern art on display plus an areas with model trains and track. The train runs at certain times so if you’d like to see the trains going around track check on website for times. I highly recommend visiting this museum!

It was a useful visit to learn about the history of Clarksville along with the art exhibition.

We went today and absolutely loved it! Super clean and the ac was amazing. The girl at the front was incredibly nice. Being a military family we got in free! Tons of things to look at and our toddler LOVED the kids areas. The kids art area was so much fun as well as the bubble cave and explorer area. The only downside was the parking is at the back of the building so you have to walk around the front in the heat because there is no entrance back there. I’m heavily pregnant so it was a struggle. But I would absolutely go back and definitely recommend this to anyone.
Mendy E — Google review
The kids had a great time. I loved all the art exhibits and historical items.
Jennifer R — Google review
Wonderful displays that show the history of the area. This is a good-sized museum with plenty to see and very well laid out. Beyond history, their were art and cultural items to add to the experience. Several excellent interactive spaces for kids are also available, which really helps make it a win for families to visit. All of this is housed in a historic building that is worth seeing by itself.
Andrew B — Google review
The museum has a very kid-friendly area. Our boys are 5 and 8 and enjoy the play areas down stairs (especially the bubble cave). The model trains are also a big hit with the family. The train yard even changes with the seasons. If you visit now (Sept), there are new Halloween setups that you can operate with buttons.
Troy B — Google review
Very cool museum with tons of things from locally and globally to look at. Very clean, and very friendly staff. The bottom level is full of stuff to keep your little ones entertained for hours. $12 per adult is not too bad of a price. Will return soon with the kids.

Dunbar Cave State Park in Clarksville, Tennessee is a historic park known for its fascinating cave system, offering visitors bank fishing and three hiking trails to explore the diverse wildlife. The community spirit of Clarksville is evident in the bustling local spots like Yada Yada Deli and Target. The park's cave system spans over 8 miles with evidence of human activity dating back thousands of years, including Native American petroglyphs and pictographs.
Nice! Spend a couple hours here.. bring your well behaved fur baby! Hiking and easy trail, and the cave is pretty historic. Nice little picnic area, and clean with bathrooms at the gift shop. When we went, there was construction so there are portapotties .. staff is friendly.

Majestic view as you get to the cave and notice the formation of rocksxand the gigantic trees on top of an open space. Incredible. Nice little walk from the park to the cave and back. We did not adventure us into the longer walk into the woods.
Sheyla Z — Google review
It is a nice place for a small walk or hike. They have a trailer across the park that takes you through the lake and beautiful views. There a quite a few ducks in the lake. They also have cave tours that run from May to September. I could not see it but will come next time for it. They have plenty of parking out here.
Mohit G — Google review
Nice little gift shop. Trails are nice. We did not tour the cave but walked in the edge where shows were once done. Interesting history.
Angie H — Google review
This is a great trail. It is about 1.85 miles from start to finish when you take the long way around. It is a moderate hiking trail.
Tawnya S — Google review
Beautiful day trip even in the rain. The cave is closed for the season which is a bummer. The park and trails are well maintained and the area is gorgeous.
Kate G — Google review
Great place to get out and walk. Beautiful wildlife and also a treat to cool down by the cave on warmer days.

A beautiful park with easy trails. The cave tours are set to reopen in May 2026.

Sights & Landmarks
Fort Defiance Civil War Park & Interpretive Center is a must-visit for history enthusiasts and curious minds in Clarksville. The site, once a strategic location during the Civil War, now houses an interpretive center with engaging exhibits and a 15-minute film about the local history. Visitors can explore the grounds, walk along paved trails, and learn about various aspects of life during the Civil War, including medical practices, soldier life, food, music, and artillery.
Full Review: Love this walking trail! Wheel chair accessible, however, here’s a good amount of hills. So be mindful, not for a beginner to roll, nor low batteries. 90% or more of the trail is in shade. You will come out in a neighborhood. There you have 0.2 miles to walk on a neighborhood road with no sidewalk nor shade. But it’s not busy. The trail is well kept, the people are very courteous and friendly. This is a wonderful piece of history for Clarksville TN. Be sure to enjoy the view of the city at the start and read he historical signs. For moderate walkers, the trail takes around 15-20 minutes.

The tiny museum is very informational. Very peaceful paved loop trail with kiosk along the path. The man at the desk was very inviting and helpful.
Angelie F — Google review
Small but interesting museum with a walking trail and very nice view over Clarksville. Our guide was very nice. We watched a 29 minute film, toured the exhibit and checked out the small research library. We walked some of the trail, also. We enjoyed it.
Angie H — Google review
Go behind the building for an overlook of the city center. Inside the building are lots of historical facts and a film you can watch. Occasional events. Totally worth a few minutes of your time.

I took the kids and my pet and it was a lovely experience. There was so much information about the history of the land and of our country
Maricela W — Google review
Beautiful park to walk the trail and learn some history of the area. Understanding the thoughts and activities of those in history gives us deeper insights to ourselves. Great restoration effort and quaint gift shop with stunning views across the river valley.
Michael M — Google review
We enjoyed the museum and interpretive center, but were a little disappointed with the fort itself. It's pretty overgrown. It would've been cool if the trees and shurbs around the fort were cleared so you could get a sense of its placement on the river how it was during the war. Also would be neat if the cannons on display were set up in the fort. But overall we enjoyed our visit!

Awesome historical site. Loved the serine atmosphere and hike, or trail to walk. We enjoyed the beautifully kept grounds and markers of informative breakdowns of historical facts and area plants etc.

Winery
Food & Drink
Beachaven Vineyards & Winery, the oldest single-family-owned winery in Tennessee, is a must-visit for wine enthusiasts. Located in Clarksville, TN, this vineyard offers tours of its facilities and wine tastings where you can sample their award-winning wines. The picturesque vineyard features orderly vines on soft rolling hills, providing a delightful backdrop for your visit. Owned by the third generation of the family, Beachaven's stellar reputation is deeply rooted in the area.
Loved this winery! We went on a Saturday and they had live music playing outside. Their wine tasting is inside, and you can buy glasses and flights to take out. They also had a food truck during the afternoon when we went. Super chill vibe to hang out. Their wine prices are pretty comparable to other wineries. All the staff was super friendly when we went and made good recommendations. And they have wine slushes! Perfect for a summer day.
Sarah — Google review
It was my first time visiting a winery, and it made for the perfect little date before heading back to Georgia. We offered a wine tasting for just $4 per person, which allowed us to try four different wines of our choice—what a great deal! The person who served us was amazing. She was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to help us choose wines that matched our tastes. She explained each one in detail, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Her passion and friendliness truly shone through. Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable stop. I’m so glad we went, and I’d visit again!
Noelia B — Google review
While visiting this winery is great on its own, they host many great events, food trucks and live music to really make it worth it! I personally love when Cousins Maine Lobster truck is there, a wine slushy with my lobster roll is perfection. If it’s your first visit I highly recommend the wine flight & tour. Their blackberry wine is delicious!
Trish R — Google review
We spent a delightful afternoon at Beachaven. Several other visitors were also doing tastings, but we were treated as if we were the only ones there! Our host shared some very interesting history of the winery and the background of the marvelous hand-carved barrel heads on display. And then there is the wine! They offer a vast collection, I could have tried every one. We each selected 4 to try and loved them all. Usually we feel fortunate to find a couple that suit our tastes but each one here is a winner!! Every staff member was welcoming, knowledgeable, enthusiastic about their product. We thoroughly enjoyed our introduction to Clarksville!
Holly C — Google review
Staff was very helpful and suggested wines based on our preferences. Outdoor area is large and ideal when the weather is cooperative. They had a food truck there serving pizza, Gaga's Stone Fired Pizza, and the 4 meat pizza was delicious. If you like white wine, the 101st Melody is fabulous and great tribute to our Ft Campbell soldiers. Great way to spend a Saturday.

Earlier this week, I got a job to photoshoot a family after their courthouse wedding on Friday. Living an hour a way, I wasn’t familiar with the vineyards but it was recommended. I called and talked to a young lady that said we were more than welcome to do the shoot there. I got there early and had a wine tasting (yummy Chardonnay and Rose’) while I waited on my clients. I had been told there were just a few family members and their children coming along with the couple. About 20 adults came and we sort of took over the place. If the staff got frustrated, I didn’t see it for one second. I know my client and his group ordered a lot of wine so I am hoping that the sales were pleasing for the owners that afternoon. They had food samples out at the tasting bar and there were a lot of things in the gift shop that look very appealing to a shopper like me. This place is a real gem hidden in the middle of an industrial area off the interstate. Their grapes were getting ready to be harvested so it looks like August is a good time to go see them at their largest size. We were told to go anywhere we wanted just don’t touch the grapes as they were getting ready to be picked! If I’m in the area again, I will definitely go back. Looks like they have music and food trucks from time to time too. May be a wonderful day trip this Fall! Go visit them now and tell them I sent you!

This winery has a beautiful vineyard and fantastic wines. Live music on the weekends. A really great time!
Kammi P — Google review
Beachaven Vineyard & Winery is always a wonderful spot, but I have to say the Music on the Lawn event I attended recently was on a whole different level — because of JAY AMMO. The wine was great, the atmosphere was gorgeous, and everyone was having fun, but Jay absolutely made the night. His talent is unreal! He had everyone staying way longer than we planned because we didn’t want the music to stop. Please, please bring Jay Ammo back as often as possible! He’s the kind of performer that turns a good night into an unforgettable one, and he brings so much energy and joy to the event. I will absolutely be watching your event schedule and returning whenever he's performing. If you see his name on the lineup — GO.

Theaters
Located in downtown Clarksville, Tennessee, the Roxy Regional Theatre is a vintage performing arts center with a rich history. Originally opened in 1913 as a movie theater, it has evolved into a professional regional theater company. The intimate setting of this historic venue attracts tens of thousands of visitors annually to enjoy plays, musicals, classic movies, and holiday shows. The iconic marquee neon sign adds to its charm.
Loved their showing of A Charles Dickens Christmas. Not the classic but a fun take on it's creation. A fun performance set in a small theater setting and friendly staff. No photos or recordings of the show because of copyright reasons.
Nom N — Google review
We LOVE the Roxy! My daughter has enjoyed their theater school and summer camp, I’ve enjoyed all the shows, and my son has even joined their improv workshop when Scriptless in Seattle comes to town. We have watched tons of their shows and the actors are always top notch. We go to their gala every year, as welI. I’d recommend the Roxy to EVERYONE in town!
Angie M — Google review
1. This is a cute vintage theater. Seats are great, they are not crunched together like other theaters. Nice little snack bar for a light drink or snack. We came from another state and have been to many big, fancy theaters but We all really enjoyed the Roxy theater. 2. We saw 'A Charles Dickens' Christmas which was very good. The whole cast and crew did great. I liked the wholesome type of play (family friendly) and hope they offer more like this one. 3. I hope this venue can eventually raise/save funds to remodel it because it really has a lot of potential. But keep the seats where they are, they are very comfortable with lots of legroom.
Cindy Q — Google review
This theater is so cozy and vintage. I loved every part of it. The play we saw was Steel Magnolia's. The ladies did an AMAZING job. Each played their part so well. Ouiser stole the show with her performance. She made me laugh so much! AMAZING performance. I have already bought tickets to Tiny Tim in November. I can not wait to go back! I highly recommend this venue for a wonderful evening or afternoon out.

Restaurant
Located in downtown Clarksville, Tennessee, Strawberry Alley Ale Works is a trendy spot housed in a restored brick warehouse. This industrial-chic haunt offers an all-day menu featuring brunch, comfort food, and craft beer. The family-friendly atmosphere provides plenty of seating for patrons to enjoy appetizers, soups, salads, and entrees. With its one-year anniversary recently celebrated, this brewery is expected to be a long-standing fixture in the area.
Had one of the best Cobb Salads I've ever had here. Spacious inside seating plus a patio and an upper deck. Our server was extremely attentive, and the food was delicious. To top it off, the prices were reasonable. Everything you could want in a restaurant choice.
Andrew B — Google review
We went @5:45 on a Thursday night. It wasn't crowded or busy. We did not have to wait to be seated. Our server was very efficient and friendly. We had the blackened fish tacos, stuffed cowboy burger, fish and chips, and kids grilled cheese. Everything was really good with the exception of the roasted vegetables I chose as my side. The server did offer to give me another side for free. We would definitely return.
Vanessa C — Google review
We went for Brunch on a Saturday mid-morning. It's a really neat place that's plenty spacious for larger groups. The service was excellent from the time we walked in to the time we walked out. My 7-yr old loved the complimentary "buffet" with cookies, fruits, etc. I ordered a spicy Bloody Mary and Shrimp n Grits. I'm from the deep south so I have a great appreciation for those two menu items and hold them to a high standard. I only gave 4 stars there but I'm sure they are both 5-star to most people. I only deducted a star because the bacon in the Bloody Mary was cold and chewy, inedible. And, if the managers are listening, the okra needs to be a spicy okra and the olive was not salty at all. The shrimp n grits were good, just lacked a little salt and instead of cheddar, the cheese should definitely be gouda and the green onions need to be sliced a little thinner. The atmosphere is amazing, especially when you have a 7-year-old and a 9-month-old, it's wide open and just loud enough the kids can make a little noise and not be considered the rowdy kids at a restaurant. Everyone at our table of 6 enjoyed the visit though and we will definitely return.
Charlie L — Google review
I’ve really tried to give this place another chance because I truly enjoy the atmosphere, but every time we visit we end up disappointed, and I think it’s finally time to call it quits. The fries came out as old bits and scraps, the pizza was tiny and mostly just dough, and the lemonade was so sour that even my kid—who usually loves lemonade—couldn’t drink it. I really want this to be a regular spot for our family since we love the upstairs vibe, but the food consistently falls short. The servers are kind and the atmosphere is great, but the kitchen needs serious improvement. I hate even having to write this, because the potential is there. Right now, though, what we got wasn’t worth even half of what it could be. Fix the food, and clean the bubble gum sticky bathroom floors and I’ll gladly be back.
Kenny M — Google review
Lunch on a weekday with a large party and we were all happy with our visit. We were seated immediately and order taken quickly. I was disappointed that they didn’t have fish and chips so I ordered a bourbon burger instead and it was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful and restaurant was clean and well kept. Highly recommended!
Brian B — Google review
Went here for dinner & drinks with a friend while in the area for a work trip and absolutely love this place. The hostess gave us the option to sit inside or outside, and we opted for sitting on the outdoor patio balcony. The vibe was chill and just what we were looking for. Our server Mya was super nice and friendly and gave great recommendations! Everything on the menu is made from scratch, and the quality and taste of their dishes reflects that. We shared a few appetizers which were pretty filling by themselves. They offer beer flights to sample what they make locally. You can also get beer to take home in cans or a growler. I would definitely come back here!
Sarah — Google review
The food at Strawberry Alley Ale was absolutely delicious—my chicken burrito bowl hit the spot, and the drinks (especially my flight) were just as impressive. I was really looking forward to the full experience, and the kitchen definitely delivered. However, the service left something to be desired. We waited about 20 minutes just to get refills, and there was very little waitress presence throughout our visit. After asking once early on if we were ready to order dinner, no one checked back for a long time—only to later tell us we’d have to order immediately if we still wanted food. It felt rushed and a bit dismissive, which took away from what could’ve been a top-tier visit. Great food and drinks, but I hope the service improves.

Josh was our server today for brunch! He was very polite and attentive. I would definitely recommend strawberry alley for quality time with your family. Thank you Josh for making our day start off great! Oh ! And the drinks he made were delicious!

Bar
Blackhorse Pub & Brewery in Clarksville is a beloved local spot known for its house-brewed beers and elevated pub food. The no-frills atmosphere adds to its charm, making it a popular choice among locals and visitors alike. With a diverse menu that includes juicy cheeseburgers, flavorful flatbreads, beer cheese dip, and indulgent desserts like the Big Cookie, there's something for everyone.
Last Saturday night I visited “Blackhorse” with my friends & we had such a good dining experience that ofc I had to leave a review for this place! We waited for like 15min to get a table (6 of us plus one kid) everything was really nice. The food was absolutely rico ricoooooo, every dish we ordered was really good, my top dish from all the ones we ordered was the spinach dip cheese (I hope I got the name right) but omg it was just exquisite & the flatbread that comes with it… wow! I highly recommend to get that one as an appetizer too, is a 10 out of 10! Our visit there was really nice but it was most part of the waiter who also happens to be an artist! His service was above & beyond to make sure we had a good time at this restaurant, our waiter was very friendly, attentive and very helpful when it comes to order a good meal, he help us with the tops recommendations. He also kept us updated about our plates & apologizing when one of the plates was a little bit late, & explaining why it was late, which we really appreciated, especially when kids are coming (kids are always hungry haha!) The restaurant is also very kid-friendly. We came with my 2-year-old niece, and she had a great time too with her tias & mommy, always a plus for families looking for a nice spot to eat out together. The only reason why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 of the ambiance is because I found the lighting a bit too dim, which made the place feel darker than I’d prefer (this is just my personal preference). But other than that… Highly recommend checking it out!! (For 3 of us & a kid our check was $85)

Okay... this place is an absolute banger. Food, service, atmosphere, prices. This is an amazing Pub and I can't wait to come back. The burger was cooked perfectly, great quality, Mac-n-Cheese is to die for, amazing beer selection, clean restroom, everything about this place is worth 5 stars. Our table had a few burgers, different sides, a pizza, chicken tenders, no complaints whatsoever. We were a party of six, in the area on vacation. Our server was very knowledgeable, accommodating and prompt. Again, food was amazing and we can't wait to get back. This is a MUST TRY if you are from out of town!

One of my favorite places to eat in Clarksville! Have been here many of times over the past couple years. Everything has been great no matter the day, time, level of busyness or group size I’m with! I really like the variety of food offered on their menu, they really have a little bit of everything (you can check out their menu on their website). I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve had here and haven’t heard of anyone not enjoying what they ordered. They have some of the beat sweet potato fries! I like the overall vibes of the place (decor, staff, food) and highly recommend checking them out!

I'm from the south and they serve the best fried green tomatoes I've ever eaten. The small amount of pimento cheese and tomato jam are a perfect addition to each bite. The pizza was also amazing. Our waitress kept our glasses full and was very attentive. Will be back next time we are passing thru Clarksville. Would highly recommend.

So im probably the only cou try person alive who's never tried fried green tomatoes and I was skeptical...these were absolutely fantastic the pimento cheese on top really compliments it and im usually not a fan of pimento cheese. The grilled pork chops with the plum sauce are always delicious here and my server noel was really nice and attentive.

First of all, I'll start with the caveat that if I stop by a place for brunch and you have chicken and waffles, I'm getting them. I went on Father's Day, as to be expected the place was busy. So, I don't take anything from the staff for service. They were busting their butts to serve all their tables. In any case, that should speak volumes for the place. People are willing to wait to be seated. I'll give you kudos for planning for the holiday. Some other places fell short on proper planning. Next, I'll speak on the food, it didnt disappoint. On this particular day, I had the chicken and waffles. The tenders were very well seasoned, and the waffles were crispy but not hard. They seem to take on the syrup very well. Eating the chicken and waffle together with syrup tasted well balanced. I will definitely go back just for the chicken and waffles!

The Black House Pub in Clarksville is one of those spots that just hits different. It’s set in a historic building with a moody, vintage feel—dim lights, exposed brick, and quirky decor that make it cozy but still a little edgy. The drinks are a big draw, with plenty of craft beers, creative cocktails, and seasonal specials. Whether you’re into bourbon, a good IPA, or something new, you’ll find it here. The food’s just as strong—pub favorites with a Southern twist. Their pizzas are a standout, loaded with flavor and perfect for sharing, and the menu always has rotating specials that keep things interesting. Don’t miss the beer cheese dip—whether you go for it with chips or a big soft pretzel, it’s the kind of starter you’ll want on the table. What really makes the place stand out is the vibe. The staff are friendly without trying too hard, and the crowd is a mix of locals, students, and visitors who all seem to be there for the same reason—to have a good time. If you’re in Clarksville and want a place with personality, good drinks, and solid food, Black House Pub is worth checking out.

Cue HAPPY DANCE! My husband and I stopped there for the first time today around 2:30. Jahmar was our server that greeted us and took excellent care of us. He was knowledgeable of the menu and a true asset for the restaurant. We ordered the bier cheese with chips, wedge salad and heart attack pizza. Everything was really good! The house made bleu cheese dressing with balsamic drizzle is absolutely delicious. There are a large selection of craft beers and mocktails. We parked right in front of the doors, which was great because I have mobility issues. If that’s you, just come mid afternoon and you should be good to find a close spot.

In addition to the marketplace, Miss Lucille's Cafe is also a highly esteemed establishment known for its exceptional brisket sliders. These sliders are widely praised and should not be missed when visiting Miss Lucille's Marketplace in Clarksville. The cafe offers a variety of delectable dishes, including the popular poppin grilled cheese made with three different cheeses, including cream cheese, jalapenos, avocado, and bacon. Accompanied by chips, these dishes provide a satisfying lunch experience.
I’ve been here several times and have never been disappointed! The protein bowl and pancakes are absolutely delicious. AJ was my server on my last visit and he did an amazing job. He was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The patio is such an underrated gem and a perfect place to enjoy your meal outdoors. There’s even a beautiful spot just behind the patio that would be ideal for a small wedding or gathering. Highly recommend!

Very disappointed. It started sooo well… we were seated immediately and the server came over quickly to take our full order - the restaurant was surprisingly half empty at 9am on a Saturday. Then it went downhill. It took about 20 minutes to get 2 waters and an iced coffee. 40 minutes after that, the food arrived (almost an hour after we ordered). We should have left but my daughter is 4 days past her due date and she needed pancakes!!😂 We did not see our server again until he brought the check - the guy was just not good at his job and clearly didn’t care about our displeasure. The food was just as disappointing as the service. It had clearly been sitting for a while - the cream on the Strawberries and Cream pancakes was completely absorbed into a soggy pancake. (The pregnant lady was so hungry - we didn’t take a “before” picture). The bottom pancake was burnt. The over easy egg in the breakfast bowl had a fully cooked yolk and a lot of the crumbled chorizo was burnt and inedible. We had high hopes but I’m not sure I would go back. We have always enjoyed the food in the cafe so this was a shock. On a positive note - its a cute, bright open setup.

Spend the day at Miss Lucille’s with your pup 🐶 There is plenty to do, first grab a bite to eat at the cafe on the pet-friendly patio (the humans love the baked cantina nachos 🥑 and the cranberry club wrap 🌯) and enjoy some coffee as they now are serving their specialty coffee at the cafe☕️ Once you are done, head over to the market place to shop with your fur friend 🛍️ -@brewskibrewreviews

Definitely style over substance. The staff is nice but we waited almost 40 minutes after being told it’d be 15 minutes. Once we sat down our waiter was prompt and he was attentive. I wish I could say the rest of the experience was a good one. Onto the food - $14 for a sandwich made on white sandwich bread and ruffles chips is too much. The food was subpar at best. Half of both me and my husband’s sandwiches were just bread. My kids ordered kids meals. The amount of care put into putting this food together is a travesty. My daughter’s sandwich came out burnt. My son’s pizza was also burnt and had no sauce on it. My kids were hungry and they still hardly touched their food. We will not be back. The space is beautiful and miss Lucille’s is fun to stroll through but what a disappointing restaurant! We paid $74 dollars to leave feeling like our time was wasted for an absolute rip off of a dining experience.

Kiara was amazing as a server and had great recommendations for me to try! I had the brisket Philly and it was delicious! I’ll definitely be back!

AJ was just phenomenal! We had a surprised bridal shower for a friend and there were 6 of us and he was so funny, kind, accommodating and hooked us up with cinnamon rolls after breakfast was over. He kept it funny and light and was delightful!

My first visit to the new Cafe. It was an absolute delight. The music was cool as well as the air. My lunch was perfect and Kiara was more than accommodating. I felt pretty special, she made sure I was completely satisfied with my meal & drinks. The new space is delightful!

AJ (Antwon James lol joke) was our waiter and did a superb job on letting us know how good my choices were on breakfast. He was very attentive and made sure we had what we needed. I ordered the pancakes with blueberry topping and lemon mascarpone filling and it was delicious! Next time I’ll order the banana caramel as he said that was one of his favorite. Ms Lucille is a real nice place to eat. Atmosphere is always inviting. Thank you and see you next time

Bakery
Silkes Old World Breads Bakery is a beloved family-owned German cafe and deli in Clarksville, known for its artisan breads, European pastries, and delightful menu. The bakery prides itself on using fresh ingredients without unnecessary additives or preservatives. Many popular restaurants in Nashville use Silkes bread due to its quality. In addition to their baked goods, the bakery offers handmade pizzas, signature sandwiches, burgers, German specialties, and brats.
I am telling everyone about this place!! My boyfriend and I came here from Texas while visiting some family. We were looking for a place with vegan options and this did not disappoint. The restaurant is so cozy and cute. It feels like home. Like you’re in your family’s kitchen while they cook. It’s such a nice inviting feeling that you just don’t find everywhere. I also felt like the portions for the price are incredible! I had leftovers for at least two days! The staff was also so friendly and the chef even came and told me about how she makes the vegan cream cheese from scratch which was so cool. They also have a cute local crystal and jewelry shop items displayed inside for sale that I really liked. I wanted to take all of that and the photographs for sale home as well. Such a cool experience that you can’t just replicate.

This bakery/deli had a big variety of sandwiches, desserts and lunch plates to choose from. We had a few desserts (because they looked so good) and took sandwiches to go. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was a bit slow but worth the wait. If you have time, there is a antique market you can visit. Great stop for a quick bite. Don't forget to stop off at the bakery to pick ups deli meats.

One of my favorite places in town! The sauerkraut pizza was honestly so good!! Don't let the name scare you off, especially if you like sauerkraut! The meat and cheese plate was also delicious! Really enjoy eating here and then checking out the antique shop next door. They also make incredible desserts! Always a 10/10!

I recently visited Silkes Old World Breads and Bakery at 1214 A, College St, in Clarksville, TN. My son and I had a delicious lunch here. No problem with parking. We ordered our meals at the counter and promptly received our meals.

I love Silke’s! I’m there a couple times a week and though their pastries are my weakness (raspberry danish please!), I absolutely love the ladies that work there. They are welcoming and kind and I love going there and feeling at home. For lunch I usually get the turkey club or any of the pizzas, and for afternoon tea time I get a couple of pastries to share and a latte. I love how cozy the space is as well. It’s located on my way to downtown, on College St! Excellent- and they have been here for 25 years! They are a local gem!

I love the food here, but just as much as I love the food, I love seeing Mirta and Stephanie. Mirta always has a big smile on her face and knows my voice when I call to see what’s available that day. I’m dairy free so I’m so grateful for the vegan options. Some of my favs are the cupcakes, grilled cheese with ham, and pizza! I ordered 2 dozen cupcakes for my birthday this year that were both vegan and gluten free - the fudge frosting is life changing. 🤤 This place is a gem and wouldn’t be the same without the great customer service.

German food prepared fresh. Sandwiches, coffee, desserts. Great ambience. They make all the food when it’s ordered. If there’s a few people in line- be prepared to wait. The wait is definitely worth it and employees are very friendly. You’ll cheat yourself if you skip dessert. Would be an excellent daddy/daughter date venue.

It felt a little awkward walking in.And nobody at the counter and then someone finally came. And told me to grab a menu and whenever I decided what I wanted to go back up to the counter in order. I would prefer to just order when I was up there or to have my order taken while I was sitting down at a table. With that said the young woman that helped me was wonderful. The bread was delicious and the reuben was about average. I would go back there again and try something new. The cannoli was good. I did like the decor of the place and the way the environment felt while sitting and waiting for my food.

Steak house
Nestled in the heart of downtown Clarksville, Edward's Steakhouse is a culinary gem that beautifully marries history with modern elegance. Established in 2009 by John Shepherd and his family, this charming eatery occupies a former bank building from the early 1900s, showcasing stunning original architecture like high ceilings and ornate chandeliers. The ambiance is enhanced by exposed-brick walls adorned with contemporary decor and live piano music, creating an inviting atmosphere for diners.

Edwards Steakhouse offers an intimate dining experience that feels both upscale and warmly familiar. The cozy ambiance—dim lighting, rich wood accents, and attentive service—sets the perfect tone for a relaxed evening out or a special celebration. The culinary standout begins with the fried green beans, a Southern twist on a classic starter. Crisp, golden, and seasoned just right, they arrive piping hot with a dipping sauce that adds a tangy kick. It’s the kind of appetizer that disappears quickly, so don’t be shy about ordering a second round. For the main course, the New York strip steak is a triumph. Expertly grilled to your preferred temperature, it boasts a flavorful crust and juicy interior that speaks to the kitchen’s precision. Pair it with the garlic mashed potatoes, which are creamy, buttery, and infused with just enough garlic to be memorable without overpowering. Together, they form a plate that’s both comforting and indulgent. ChatGPT said: Here’s a more blog-style rewrite of your post, keeping it conversational and flowing like something you’d read in a food blog: If you’re looking for a spot that balances upscale dining with a welcoming, familiar vibe, Edwards Steakhouse is one of those places that gets it just right. The moment you walk in, the cozy atmosphere sets the tone—dim lighting, polished wood accents, and a staff that makes you feel like you’re in good hands. It’s the kind of place that works just as well for a date night as it does for a special celebration with friends or family. Let’s talk food, because that’s where Edwards really shines. I kicked things off with the fried green beans, and honestly, they’re a must. Crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned, these little bites come with a dipping sauce that adds just the right amount of tang. They’re one of those appetizers you end up eating faster than you mean to, so don’t be surprised if a second round makes its way to your table. Then came the star of the show: the New York strip. Cooked exactly how I ordered, it arrived with that perfect seared crust on the outside and juicy, tender goodness on the inside. Every bite reminded me why a well-prepared steak is tough to beat. On the side, the garlic mashed potatoes held their own—rich, buttery, and smooth with just enough garlic to keep things interesting without overwhelming the plate. Together, it was the kind of meal that hits all the right notes: classic, comforting, and just indulgent enough to feel like a treat.

Me and my husband went as 1st timers on our anniversary. Everything was great, Amaya knew the menu well, helped me with my selection because she had tried what was offered. Katie was assisting but she was also very pleasant, she was new but clearly took pride in her role. The live music was pretty good, i know everything that played/ was performed. To top it all off the ladies brought us a slice of cheese cake and an anniversary card. Definately will be sharing my experience with all.

I had the absolute pleasure of enjoying dinner here last night with my wife. We are down from Michigan on vacation and visiting family and we went out for date night leaving the kids with grandma for the first time since we had our second. This was the best choice as we had such great food and amazing service. Amaya our waitress was such an amazing person and waitress. She explained all of our questions well and gave great recommendations. Between the amazing food and her exceptional service I would recommend anyone eat here looking for a great meal with great people!

My first experience at Edward’s was amazing. I called last minute because I had made a reservation at the Garrison but couldn’t go (that’s another story lol) and was lucky enough to get a table. Welcoming environment, friendly staff, great hot food, amazing drinks - just the way I like them. Shannon was a great waiter. He gave some great recommendations, he ordered my specific drink to my liking, and he wasted no time jumping in as soon as something was needed. Definitely plan to go back and try everything on the menu.

Beautiful restaurant in historic downtown Clarksville! It was our first time visiting and from start to finish; our experience was fabulous! We were greeted and served by our awesome server, Amaya, who was not only sweet and attentive, but so pretty. The lamb chops were the best I’ve ever had and we highly recommend the steak. Plus, the prices are better than any chain steak house around. Oh, and did I mention, they have a pianist!! We both declared that Edwards is our new SPOT!
