Dia Beacon is a massive contemporary art museum located in a former Nabisco box printing factory, offering an awe-inspiring collection of modern works from the 1960s to the present day. The museum overlooks the Hudson River and features a large permanent collection by renowned artists such as Richard Serra, Louise Bourgeois, Dan Flavin, and Gerhard Richter. In addition to its permanent collection, Dia Beacon regularly hosts temporary exhibits and large-scale sculptures.
Walking into Dia Beacon feels like entering a cathedral of perception. The former Nabisco box-printing factory, bathed in diffused Hudson Valley light, holds an atmosphere where time slows down — each artwork not merely installed, but breathing within the architecture. The vast industrial volume redefines the relationship between viewer, material, and void. In one wing, Gerhard Richter’s grey mirrors dissolve the boundary between reflection and opacity. Their stillness absorbs the daylight, folding the gallery’s gridded windows into painterly illusions. Nearby, Larry Bell’s glass constructions and Robert Irwin’s scrims create corridors of uncertainty, where the viewer becomes both subject and shadow. Walking through them is like inhaling air made visible — each surface a study in the gradations of transparency, color, and self-awareness. Descending further, the visceral pull of Richard Serra’s torqued ellipses commands bodily engagement. Their curved steel walls — monumental yet tender — demand slowness. Each turn offers a recalibration of weight, balance, and sound; your footsteps become part of the sculpture’s resonance. A parallel intensity exists in Michael Heizer’s voids, massive cuts into the floor that feel like the earth exhaling inside a room. Looking down is both thrilling and unsettling, a reminder of the geological scale that art can inhabit. Elsewhere, Joseph Beuys’s vitrines, Bruce Nauman’s neon, and John Chamberlain’s crushed metal offer counterpoints — gestures of humor, ritual, and defiance. In another hall, On Kawara’s textual works anchor time as language, while Lawrence Weiner’s wall texts and On Kawara’s banners (seen overhead) reframe the act of reading as a spatial rhythm. Dia Beacon’s curatorial strength lies in restraint. It allows artworks to exist in long, unhurried conversations with each other — a rare luxury in today’s overstimulated museum culture. The light changes, the shadows migrate, and so does one’s sense of the self within the work. Leaving the museum, one carries a strange calm — as if the act of seeing had been purified into its essence: space, light, and the quiet endurance of form.

Excellent collection of some big names in contemporary modern sculpture. The space alone is stunning, prime for highlighting Negative Space, and it really is mostly negative space larger pieces, which makes it easy to cover such a large building -former Nabisco factory-. My all time favorite are the Richard Serra pieces: fabulous.
Carlos L — Google review
I found the building itself to be more fascinating than the art. Definitely go when it is sunny out. It's a former Nabisco printing plant. The art was very experimental; a few pieces were cool but most of it was silly and I love modern art. If you are in the area, it's still worth a stop. I wish I could roller skate thru the building. It's that big!
K L — Google review
The gallery itself has a lot to offer, but the staff definitely needs more training. There’s no need to warn visitors not to touch the exhibits before they’ve even approached them. It comes off as unwelcoming. Also, we were rushed out repeatedly with two minutes left before closing, even though we only had two exhibits left to see. If the gallery is still open, staff should continue doing their jobs, not push visitors out prematurely.
Yuxi Y — Google review
Cool museum with lot sod varying exhibits - some of them are very interesting, others less so. Overall, definitely worth visiting if you’re in beacon and want to get some art in.
Rovik R — Google review
Nice gallery! One of the best experiences is to reach Beacon by train, from Manhattan. You have to buy the round-trip tickets at the station and kids under 12 pay very little. Returning to the gallery topic it is a must-visit for all art lovers.
Ethel P — Google review
There are many other places where you can see the works of genius artists from around the world, but this is probably the only place where artists are able to hold “solo exhibitions” without being cramped after their death. A wonderful environment.
Kubota N — Google review
Very esoteric museum. One must savor the intentions and imagination of the artist. What color is the color of the day? What color is the color of the number? Where imagination, empathy, creativity and the basic principles of interior designers are expressed in a complex... interesting place!!

From whimsical animal figurines to elegant jewelry crafted from glass beads, visitors will find both decorative and functional pieces like soap dishes and serving ware. Beautiful creations! Definitely worth visiting when you're in Beacon. Prices are reasonable. They also offer glass-blowing classes where you can make bowls, ornaments, and more!
Cody L — Google review
Visited as part of a bachelorette trip and we got to glass blow some ornaments. A really fun and unique experience. We met the owners, and they were incredibly kind and passionate about what they do. We’ll definitely visit again when in the area!

Awesome experience! Wife & went and made our own glass bowls. What an incredible & educational experience! Staff was fantastic. Highly recommend visiting.
Joseph M — Google review
Such a charming glass studio and gallery right at the beginning of Main Street in Beacon. The building itself feels historic, and the space is filled with beautiful handmade glass pieces and unique sculptures. Downstairs you can watch the artists work or even take a glass-blowing class if you have time. The staff are very friendly and happy to explain the process. The upstairs gallery is free to explore, with more art and gift ideas. Definitely worth a stop when visiting Beacon.
Alena B — Google review
My wife and I both made ornaments and it was a fantastic experience all around. Choosing the look and color of our items followed by an instruction on how the hot shop works and being involved in the process was a lot of fun. We really enjoyed it and the instructor was amazing. We would absolutely recommend it!
Alex E — Google review
All this glass is fantastic. They give lessons on how to work with it and create something unique.
Michael M — Google review
This experience was nothing short of amazing! The instructors were so helpful and fun and genuinely wanted us to make products we loved. At one point something went wrong with mine and it broke and they let me start over no problem! It was truly a lovely experience from start to finish.
Arianna C — Google review
Spent the afternoon doing glass blowing with my sisters. We each made a Christmas ornament. It was so much fun and the staff member, Kathleen , explained everything! This was such a great experience!

Cultural center
The Howland Cultural Center, a historic building dating back to 1872, was originally the summer home of Civil War general Joseph Howland. It later became the Howland Library and now serves as a vibrant cultural hub in Beacon for over 40 years. The center hosts a variety of events including art exhibits, musical performances, film screenings, and family entertainment. Its distinctive Norwegian Gothic-style architecture adds to its charm and it continues to be an important venue for promoting arts and culture in the area.
The center was closed the day we were in town, it was a day for a childrens program. But we were let in for an abbreviated look inside once they left. Such a beautiful building.
Holly M — Google review
I saw the final Artichoke storytelling show (wonderful!!) and what an amazing place to host such a show. It's a lovely intimate space with soaring ceilings. The upper levels reminds me of a Harry Potter movie set. The center is raising funds for renovation, which it needs yet it's still well-maintained.

Amazing history of the type library of years past and builder story of many of the other places we know such as find out who designed the pedestal of the statue of liberty , the area in Beacon is nice place to visit see, hear roar of the waterfall have bite and brew too.

Live music venue
The Towne Crier Cafe, a long-standing live music venue with a rich history in the Hudson Valley since 1972, relocated to Beacon's Main Street in 2013. It hosts an array of musical genres and has featured renowned artists like Suzanne Vega and David Byrne. The intimate space offers a global menu featuring small plates, mains, and delectable desserts made from fresh, local ingredients. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a free live music show during Sunday brunch.
The food was good and the live music was very comforting for a lovely Memorial Day brunch. I haven’t been to Beacon in about 27 years but this experience made it worth it to come back. I definitely need to come back here for a live performance sometime.

First, great staff, ty. I loved this burger, very delicious. Fries were so good and fresh. Pancakes were delish to the last bite. Tasty looking desserts but sadly, no room. The famous diner down the street had a line so we stopped by here and have no regrets. We'll stop by again.

I was there with a few couples to see Little White Lies - tribute to Fleetwood Mac. The atmosphere was exhilarating, the band was phenomenal and the food was amazing. Our waiter Tony was great!!!
Nancy C — Google review
Loved it here. Was our first visit. The food is awesome and the band we saw, The Adam Ezra Group was awesome as well.
Debbie M — Google review
Consistently rude over the years in the concert/event space. There’s a disgruntled crotchety male employee back there that treats patrons like trash even though tickets are over $30 each. It’s not just me, I saw him scold an elderly woman for literally nothing in front of me too and the poor lady was beside herself. This happened to me with the SAME guy when I cane in for an expensive show over 3 years ago. The bar has good service up front and a solid variety of drink options if that’s all you’re showing up for.
Concerned C — Google review
Wonderful venue! This past weekend was my first time visiting the Towne Crier (I know, what took me so long?) and I loved every minute of it. I went to see an amazing Simon and Garfunkle tribute band ("Forever Simon and Garfunkle") Friday night and an amazing Neil Young cover band ("Broken Arrow") on Saturday night. I did notice on both evenings the person next to me was enjoying a piece of carrot cake that looked awesome. I might have to return just to try that! Special thank you to Phil for making me feel so welcome. I'll definitely be back! It was such a pleasure listening to music without a lot of chatter in the room in such a cozy, intimate setting!
Jill M — Google review
Great place. Great food. Awesome Open Mic every Thursday night. Good listening crowd too.
Joe W — Google review
I purchased tickets to see a show with dinner reservations. We were seated at a table for two, our waitress was attentive and took our drink and appetizer order. The drinks were made well and the food was just as good. The room was a little wider than deep and was set up with tables to seat two, four or six people. We sat near the rear but every seat had a good view of the stage. We saw the Led Zeppelin tribute band “The Prezence”. The band was excellent and we had a great night. As soon as we see another band we like we will be back.

Have been participating as a vendor. Very pleasant flea market, great place to be as far as easy access, not over crowded but enough that it's well worth going to shop or sell. Every Sunday depending on weather. Highly recommend 😊
Debra W — Google review
Great flea market in downtown Beacon! There are always reasonable priced treasures and vintage items to be found!
RichardAB — Google review
Great to spend walking and enjoying...usually find something I need for my collection
Charles B — Google review
I wouldnt travel far to get to this flea market due to how small it is but it was a neat way to pass a bit of time. It was very hit or miss (not surprising). I found some vendors to have very reasonable prices and others not so much. Its beneficial to know the market on things you're interested in. I'd go back if I were in the area again, though.

American restaurant
Bar
Max's on Main is a lively pub located at the corner of Main and N. Walnut Streets in Beacon, offering American comfort food, beers, and live music on weekends. The menu features firecracker shrimp, pierogies, chunky chili, flank steak, rice bowl, delicious sandwiches and classic pub favorites like chicken wings and nachos.
PLEASE GO IF YOU ARE IN TOWN!! It was Saturday night, 2/10/24. I was in town with a relative and Went to Main Street in Beacon alone. I just wanted to see what the town was like and all of a sudden. The whole town went black!! Lights appeared In front of me, the only thing that was lit up in the town. The music entertainment was fun and appropriate for the atmosphere. Very talented guys. I went there as a southern lady from Ga, kind of skeptical about going in alone, but I was greeted with a friendly smile from the girl bartender. I had a wonderful few minutes speaking with a gentleman in this establishment. After speaking with him a few minutes, it turned out he was the owner of Max's Place. Wow was he nice and welcoming. I would have never guessed he was the owner. This place I recommend sincerely because the service is amazing and the atmosphere is very friendly and fun. I'm happy the town went black and I found this cozy place to go in and sit to rest my feet, after being in the city all day walking. Having a cold beer at the bar was nice. No one messed with me. So, thank you to the young lady bartending, whom I don't know her name, and to the gentleman who made me feel comfortable at the bar (the owner) Sorry, I am not positive of his name and I won't assume that it is Max.
Sandra B — Google review
Overall I would give Max’s on Main a 4.2 so that’s how I ended on 4 stars. By the time we got there in the afternoon the sun was shining, blue skies and definitely felt spring in the air. This was a huge difference from earlier in the day with a cold fog and rain. So let’s get into the Pros vs Cons Pros - The waiter was FRIENDLY!! This is the kind of person you want waiting on you in any service industry situation. He was kind, knowledgeable, attentive and welcoming. - Over all the food was good, some things to be desired, but I’ll save it for cons. - Much like another place I rated in the area, the price was a bit high but for the area you are in, that needs to be taken into account and expected. - They are dog friendly if you are eating at the tables on the sidewalk (this will come up in the cons) Cons - I want to first say that I found the service to be truly wonderful, as mentioned before. However, if I am being honest, there is one thing that could have been better. It took an extremely long time before the waiter came back out to check on us which felt strange considering how great he was in every other way. - The pierogies we’re good with the sautéed onions, however, I have been eating pierogies since I was a little chubby boy and these seemed to be just ordinary store bought potato and cheese. If they were freshly made, the price was worth it, but if I am right, they are WAY over priced for store bought and I am shocked. The cajun chicken alfredo was a flavor bomb, but such a small portion, again, considering the price. - The next two cons are not restaurant specific but also is the area and town. — The first is the seating area. The sidewalk is a bit slanted which means as you sit there your chair rocks and so does the table. This makes, being comfortable, is not that easy. — The second one is the size of the sidewalk. At some points it was so crowded that people were nearly touching us getting by the table area. — Again, not the restaurants fault but shared with the area/town — In the end, next time I head to this town, which I may for the antique and thrift shops, I will try another place.
Doron — Google review
Great spot to grab a beer (two local IPAs on tap, plus whatever else you’d want). It’s a classic joint, half-sports bar, half-classic rock vibe, so enough for everyone. Straightforward American menu done well. Nice story and history (read the back of the menu), established 1921, captures the character of the community’s old school vibe, no fuss service and friendly faces asking if things are good.
Justin R — Google review
This is your standard pub/bar with good food and very large portions. The baby back ribs were tender and juicy. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The wedge fries were crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. The staff is friendly and accommodating. My only issue was that the ribs were served lukewarm to room temperature.
TravelingGayPanda — Google review
Nice staff. We sat outside, ordered boys had the kids steak and grilled cheese. I ordered the whiskey ribeye. It was great especially the butter they put on top. Dropped a star because I ordered my steak rare and it came out medium well.
Vincent K — Google review
Such good food! The vibe of the bar was also very comfortable -- would definitely have a drink inside. Ordered the Santa Fe Max, my partner tried the steak sandwich (Phenomenal fries!!), and we shared the Beacon Rolls (basically like savory Chinese beef egg rolls). Definitely will visit again.
Jessica S — Google review
Loved it. In an historic building, brick walls, tin ceiling, vintage bar - had a cool, hippie vibe. Food very good, pulled pork best I ever had. Fun place for casual dining.
JoAnn N — Google review
Hands down, absolutely the best steak sandwich I have ever had. The steak was cooked to perfection, the provolone was melted perfectly, and the Portuguese roll makes the sandwich what it is, AWESOME. She had the teriyaki wings, extra crispy and it was finger licking good. Our waitress was so friendly & always smiling. We will be driving back again in a few weekend just to have another dose of Max’s on Main. Can’t suggest it enough!!

Nestled in the charming town of Beacon, NY, Beacon Bread Company is a beloved American eatery offering a delightful array of breakfast and lunch options as well as freshly baked goods. The cozy space invites patrons to savor their meals at outdoor picnic tables. Using the finest local ingredients, this bakery crafts mouthwatering pastries and handcrafted artisan sandwiches with love.
Quant little bakery and breakfast/lunch spot. Stopped here after I missed the train to GC. Was the best layover ever. Had a delicious bacon, sausage and cheese Sammy on a brioche. The sausage was house made and so was the hot sauce! The wife had avocado toast and poached eggs. The dog had bacon. We got a loaf to go. The coffee was good too! Also the atmosphere and service was top notch. Will be back for sure.
James A — Google review
I really wanted to enjoy this place, especially after seeing all the glowing reviews, but unfortunately, my experience fell short. I ordered the scrambled tofu, which looked great on the plate, but the flavor just wasn’t there. It had an overwhelming amount of powdered turmeric sprinkled on top, not cooked into the dish, so it tasted raw and bitter. I tried adding salt, then hot sauce, but nothing could save it. My guest ordered the French toast with a side of bacon. The French toast looked beautiful but had an odd aftertaste that neither of us could quite place. It wasn’t terrible, just… different. The bacon, though, was a surprise, not in a good way. Instead of a small side, we were served what felt like an entire pack of bacon. No heads up from the waiter, no warning that it was meant for multiple people. My guest was overwhelmed, and I don’t eat bacon, so it ended up mostly untouched. With the prices being what they are, I walked away feeling like I didn’t get my money’s worth. Maybe it was just an off day, or maybe certain dishes shine more than others. Either way, this one was a miss for me. You live and learn!
Baynes C — Google review
I was going to give this place a lower rating but after reading the owner's responses to the negative reviews, I increased it because of the entertainment. Strawberry Cannoli Griddles were deceivingly not good. The presentation as it came to our table was flawless and beautiful. Everyone at our table were gasping at how good it looked but when I took a bite, the flavor and texture were off-- I did enjoy that it wasn't overly sweet though. Chicken and waffle: waffle texture and flavor were the same as the pancakes. Chicken seemed to be the same as the one from my Bang Bang Chicken Bang Bang Chicken: the chicken was wayy too over-fried. It was still good once I got to the thicker part and I enjoyed the rest of my burger after that but the initial few bites were disappointing. Fries are good!! I loved the Baklava Iced Latte. It was delicious. We did not notice the flavor of Baklava though, and it tasted like a regular Iced Latte but nonetheless, it was probably my favorite item that we got. Overall, a pretty average restaurant. The food is incredibly mid but I wasn't expecting much in the first place. Staff are friendly and I love the atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back to support

Visited for the 1st time today and was very pleased with the service and the food. Great coffee. Cute place! Always packed over the weekends. Thank you so much to the girl at the counter: small details like this resonate the loudest- made my day. 🤍
Ana R — Google review
This place is lovely. My food and drinks were amazing. The staff is nice. The location and decor are quaint and inviting. There is a policy where if you eat outside you have to get your items packaged to go (at least on this Tuesday, which is a slow day where a lot of stuff in Beacon is closed. Maybe it is not always the case?). This seems like a bit of extra trouble for guests, but it is what it is. We still enjoyed our time there. The baked good looked delicious, but we just ate from the breakfast/brunch menu.

Mimi R — Google review
Such a cute little cafe that you are able to eat in or take out. The menu has a great menu for various diets. There seems to be something for everyone. We ordered thereat and butter board that came with different types of breads and butters. Omg?! The brioche bread was so fluffy and dense. The grained bread was also delicious. I didn't taste the sourdough but I am sure it was incredible. The MAPLE BUTTER was perfect. It had the perfect amount of maple that was not overpowering - very well balanced. The everything but the bagel butter was also really good. The salted was a great classic. I also ordered the BLTA which was divine. The bacon had a hot honey coated which was such a nice touch. It came with seasoned fries which I normally don't love but I enjoyed them. We got orange juice that was clearly straight from the orange! Someone at the table to get a side of sausage patties which you can tell were hand made and they were not too salty! The only con was that we had to ask to order because it was taking a long time. Overall, I would go back and recommend to anyone looking for a great place to eat in Beacon!

I had their house coffee and iced tea there many times. Felt like I was an honored guest at a friend's house - the ambience is incredible! Be sure to go there early in the morning - they tend to fill up fast, but their customers tend to be the kind of people you want to meet!!

Definitely one of my favorite go-to coffee spots!

Loved this coffee shop right at the beginning of Main Street in Beacon. You’ll spot it by the big graffiti mural on the wall. It’s spacious, with two cozy rooms, high ceilings, and a calm vibe, perfect even on a hot day. I ordered a decaf latte with almond milk; it was smooth and comforting. There aren’t many public water fountains around, so when I asked the barista for some water, he kindly filled my cup with filtered water. Such a thoughtful gesture. We sat in the backyard area afterward, which opens to a lovely view of the town. Great service, great atmosphere. I’d definitely come back.

Cozy place with nicely made drinks. Amazing service and cozy outdoor seating. Great place to enjoy before or after walks. I Recommend the place but it may have a line for orders and line for bathroom.

Nothing special! We stopped by this place while visiting the Beacon farmers market, hoping for a decent Americano. The space is quite large with comfy couches, standard coffee shop seating, and a spacious but somewhat chaotic outdoor area. The service was just okay—staff seemed more interested in chatting with each other than in serving customers. Most importantly, the coffee was mediocre. Overall, it’s an average spot but nothing to write home about.
V.F.Y. — Google review
I ordered an apricot smoothie and it was delicious. However, the place is in a horrifying state. The place is filthy. The baristas were not cleaning their stations. Cakes on coffee grinds everywhere. Everything was dusty, dirty, and grimy. The bathroom was DISGUSTING. It looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. I found a dead cockroach on the floor. After seeing how dirty the place was, I regretted my smoothie purchase.

My first 2 star review it is very disappointing to make a review like this. As a consumer who is looking outside in about the logistics and priorities. I am patient on waiting for tables but we asked to seat on the inside when there was at least 5 tables inside available because others want outside seating due to good weather. It took 35 minutes to be seated at one of the tables until that previous guests left. In another world, could’ve sat us at an already open table. The serving was not up-to-par as he took our order (not really welcoming/helpful) then never saw him again after that. I also had to go to the register to pay my tab out cause we wanted to leave soon as possible. One word to describe the food, basic, I expected more from this as the food pictures looks good. My chicken sandwich was more of a spring arugula salad sandwich w/ a hint of chicken and then fries was fries. She order the granola thinking it was a main dish that could end someone’s hunger but it was more a dissatisfying side dish at most. Only great thing was the beer I had. I feel bad writing this but hope there will be improvement if we do comeback.

The food was great but the black coffee wasn’t great. It had that oily residue that comes when you haven’t properly cleaned the coffee machine in the long time. We had a delicious brunch with all sorts of yummy dishes, so I definitely suggest getting breakfast. Service was…leisurely. Garden is really beautiful and nothing but vibes, but it’s not wheelchair accessible because there is a step down. It’s a really unnecessary step that could be easily fixed with a ramp. If they install a ramp in the back and clean the coffee pot, it’s 5 stars.

Had a DELICIOUS brunch here — everything was excellent. I would highly recommend the Hangover Egg Sandwich with an order of fries to share (the dips were great). There were other sandwiches I was also considering so would love to come back to try more!

I have been coming here for years. I always thought it was a nice place to stop and get a decent lunch. No more. Under new management the food quality has fallen off a cliff. I stopped and had a BLT two days ago. I have been eating BLTs for over 40 years and have never been served one this awful before. It was inedible. The tomatoes, 2 skimpy slices, were totally unripe and this is in late August, prime season. The bacon was dry and cold. The lettuce was brown and wilted. The bread was stale and way too thick. This for $16. My wife’s salad was only marginally better but was at least edible. I’m really sorry to have to post this report but it was so bad I feel people should be warned.

If you’re reading this review and wondering if Homespun Foods is worth a try, drop everything you’re doing and RUN HERE! Drove almost two hours to visit for Sunday brunch and it was an experience to be remembered. There wasn’t much of a wait when we arrived around 11, just a few minutes. The atmosphere was casual, cool and inviting; busy but not chaotic. The staff were kind and service was great. As for the food: phenomenal!! The menu isn’t massive, but this clearly gives the kitchen time to perfect each plate they serve. My sincerest compliments to the chefs, who prepared the most decadent dutch baby pancake I’ve ever tasted. My partner’s apple & cheddar salad was also wonderful—every bite had a pleasantly balanced flavor. Not to mention, their mimosas were the perfect compliment to our meal! I will gladly make another trip to Beacon soon, if only to experience Homespun Foods again.

Homespun is such a great place- us Beaconites are so lucky to have them here. It is perfect place to meet a friend for lunch or your take your family for Brunch. When they did dinner it was a great place to catch up with friends or have a quiet date night. One of the best lunch and breakfast places in Beacon- the food is fantastic- they put a lot of effort into creating unique seasonal flavor combinations. The food is more sophisticated than your average cafe in the Hudson and they deliver great food and service consistently. The wine and beer lists are as thick as a small Bible! Drink prices are surprisingly affordable compared to eating out in the city- they also offer a few tasty Mocktail options and non alcoholic drink options which is super nice to have as an option- their back garden patio is the best outdoor dining in Beacon- a dog friendly outdoor dining options for the whole family. Highly recommend!

A food place filled with rustic charm. Sitting area's in 4 areas, roadside, front, back and backyard garden. Dinning tables were upcycle old furniture. One side of the wall was expose brick with dark color steel shelf. Guests walk in to the counter to order food, get a tag then pick a table to sit. Server will bring food to you according to your tag. Tap water is free, help yourself right around the counter corner . Sandwich are big and fresh. Staffs are kind and friendly. A place fuuof charms and nice vibe.

Middle Eastern restaurant
Halal restaurant
Ziatun is a cozy bistro in Beacon that serves up a delightful array of Palestinian, Arabic, and Middle Eastern vegan and vegetarian dishes. The restaurant is owned by chef Kamel Jamal, who opened it in 2016 to honor his heritage and share the rich flavors of Middle Eastern cuisine. The menu features delectable options like Shawarma, rice bowls, Falafel wraps, and more. The ambiance exudes an authentic Palestinian feel with its music and decor.
This place looks amazing from outside, inside it s Arabic, colorful and comfy. The waiter was awesome, he came several time to take our order, explained and helped us choose dishes. It was very tasty without extreme spices. My cardamom coffee was good, tea too. We had the appetizer for 2, couldn’t finished. Fired vegetables and rices were delicious. Tons of choice especially for vegans.

BRING BACK OLD STAFF OR DEVOTE TRAINING TIME FOR NEW STAFF - 4/25 Went for dinner after a hike and had the best experience. Service was excellent and food was yummy (5/5) - 8/25 Wish we just got takeout!! Waited ~40 minutes to be sat outside (never asked our preference and forgot the fourth chair). Poor greeting and manners tbh but seemed like a new hire. Speedy food but given utensils after we finished the appetizer. Get the hummus and rose lemonade but there should be a salt warning for the wrap and burgers. Only two staff during dinner rush?! Forgot feta and staff was not apologetic. Overall, decent food if you are craving but sadly the dine-in experience impacts your stay. FYI: 20% tip required for 4 people. Service was not worthy in our experience.

Small place but with unexpected service and food quality. Super Friendly staff. We went there as a whole family (with 2 small kids) and had a great time. Their fries was a big surprise. They look like any other fries you would eat in a fast food place but they taste like home made fries. You just can't stop eating them. It seems they use fresh oil to fry and maybe use different type of potatoes. No doubt that their good energy makes the difference!

Excellent Vegan options!! Mushrooms as a substitute for Shawarma is a great choice. Can never go wrong with Foule, Humus and Falafel either! Service is always with a smile!

Walked around the adorable town of Beacon on a Thursday afternoon in summer and wound up choosing to eat here. We love Mediterranean food and this place rates up there with one of the best. We got the Futur Medley, 2 people we shared it. The quantity was perfect, even had a bit of take home leftovers. Grape leaves to go, also delicious. Great service but honestly everything we tasted was delicious. Love ❤️ it!

We absolutely love Ziatun Beacon! The food is always incredible — fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The ambiance is equally special: warm, welcoming, and full of soul. We also really appreciate their commitment to community and constant activism — it's clear they care deeply about more than just great food. And a special shoutout to Nico, who’s a fantastic server — attentive, kind, and always makes us feel at home. Can’t wait to come back again and again!
