Specialty Museums
The Pennsylvania Veterans Museum, located in Media, PA within the historical Media Armory, boasts a vast collection of memorabilia and artifacts honoring the county's veterans. Since its opening in 2005, it has showcased regular exhibitions including displays on the Second World War and the Korean War. The museum is praised for its excellent display and knowledgeable staff and volunteers who maintain this gem of historical items below Trader Joe's in the old armory.
What a pleasant surprise this museum was! Absolutely rivals museums we visited in WWI Belgium and WWII Normandy. Charming knowledgeable volunteers. I went with my 10 year old history buff and even he learned something! 😆. Great displays about Band of Brothers for those fans.
Kerry G — Google review
Well-curated collection of items from WWI through Vietnam. When I visited (on a Sunday afternoon) there were also welcoming and enthusiastic volunteers around to answer questions and tell stories. One note about location, though: Google said it was inside Trader Joes; it's actually in the basement if the same building. There are entrances on both State Street and Baker Street.
Michelle L — Google review
What a great experience! Extremely impressive and well done collection. Thank you to the Veterans there who gave us such a great and personal tour, sharing their stories
Karissa M — Google review
This museum is both educational and moving—a real tribute to the stories of our veterans. The exhibits are thoughtfully arranged and engaging for visitors of all ages. It’s a meaningful stop for anyone interested in history.
Rebecca F — Google review
A gem of a museum, well worth a visit for everyone. The displays are well thought and laid out with actual Veterans as docents, living history. The museum is a vibrant space for both learning and enjoyment.
Rich — Google review
Very impressive museum manage by war veterans as volunteers. I can't see a reason why anyone here will not visit. It's right below Traders Joe supermarket.
Joseph T — Google review
I always pass this place thinking they didn't have anything.but I was wrong. I really enjoyed the visit it was very interesting.I will return when I have more time to watch some of there films there.its a must visit.
Brenda C — Google review
Nothing says “thank you veterans” quite like hanging a desecrated US Flag at the entrance to the museum. You’d think a museum to honor our military would have the decency to follow US Flag Code.

Performing arts theater
Concerts & Shows
The Media Theater For The Performing Arts is a century-old venue that features a variety of entertainment options, including musicals and programs for children. It boasts convenient transportation access, with a nearby trolley stop and its proximity to the 101 highway. Though parking may be difficult to find as the lot often fills up quickly, it is considered a safe area by locals. Patrons can purchase memorabilia like T-shirts for $20 while enjoying shows put on by talented performers who are highly recommended.
The first time I witnessed a live flamenco performance, I was truly amazed. The stage came alive with powerful energy, the rhythmic footwork, graceful movements, and overall beauty of the dance were absolutely captivating. Even though I’ve never been to Spain, Patricia Donn’s performance gave me a genuine glimpse into the richness of Spanish culture and the art of flamenco. I’m thankful they brought such an incredible show to Philadelphia. Gracias, Patricia.

The musical performances were highly commendable, offering a refreshing experience. However, parking availability may present a logistical challenge. The proximity of the seating arrangements could be improved.

Saw Young Frankenstein at Media Theater. The production was fantastic. The cast was so talented! Every performance was outstanding. We could not stop talking about how much fun we had! Great quality theater right in Media, PA. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed the Valentine's Day Candlelight Concert. They played a great variety of string quartet cover songs and the theatre itself was an excellent venue for the show.
Dave W — Google review
I attended a performance of Fever's The Jury. It was a unique experience where the audience is the jury and has the ability to cast votes at various times during the event, eventually voting guilt or innocent at the end of the trial. I may attend another one with a completely different case.
Janet C — Google review
We come for the Jury experience. It was fun. Drinks and snacks were not expensive at all.
H B — Google review
Muscians were amazing. Highly educated and played in perfect sync with each other. Tickets are purchased for the zone so if you don't get there early, you get what you get. Best to arrive when the website says to. Picture option was cute. Great date night! It does get warm in the theater so make sure to wear layers you can shed.
Chase S — Google review
The Beatles Candlelight Concert was truly incredible. The musicians are beyond talented and the evening was magical. I loved listening and singing on my head all the songs. Brought up core memories which has a placed a smile on my face the entire time. At times I closed my eyes to fully immerse myself in the musical experience. Selfishly I wish the concert lasted for hours. The time flew bye. I highly recommend this for anyone who likes or loves music. Going to check out more of these for sure.

A fascinating place staffed by remarkably informed volunteers. The building itself is lovely and the assortment of objects is inspiring: fossils, a stuffed alligator, a collection of microscopes & lots of books. Once a month (during the school year ) there are lectures. Hours are a bit limited but if you call ahead small groups are graciously accommodated.
Mary M — Google review
Fun place & free will donation. Skulls, fossils and old microscopes. Oh My. Free lectures the second Monday of each month during the school year. (Just about an hour and a wide range of topics. April of 2019 is Owls of Pennsylvania.) The building is lovely inside and out. Understated. Find out about something new by learning about old stuff.

Love this, anyone can paint. Leave your home and laundry behind and enjoy a relaxing time while painting your special pet. I brought my French Exchange Student which was a perfect send off and time spent as she leaves to go home today. All the staff were helpful and kind. I can't wait to do this again.

Painting with a twist is really awesome. It’s $40 per person. You can bring wine or food or just bring yourself! Anyone can do this. It’s fun for the whole family, even the kids. I recently took my best friend to Painting with a Twist as a surprise, and we had an absolutely fantastic time! Tara was our instructor, and she made the entire experience so much fun. She has a great personality and was very engaging throughout the session. What really stood out was how she provided specific details and tips to ensure our paintings would come out beautifully, even for those of us who aren’t seasoned artists. Tara’s guidance was clear and easy to follow, and she was always available to help when needed. By the end of the session, we were both so proud of our artwork! This was the perfect activity to share with a friend, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and creative outing. Tara made the experience truly memorable!

Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant Review Name of Restaurant: Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant Address: 30 East State St, Media, PA, 19063 Service hours: Mon-Thurs 11am-11pm Fri 11am-12am(next day) Sat 10am-12am(next day) Sun 10am-10pm Rating: 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺 (out of 5) Review By: Lucian Rupert I enjoyed my evening at Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant very much. It was a very pleasant experience with truly nothing to complain about. My server was attentive and remembered even the little requests. They were knowledgeable and helpful. My server answered all the questions asked of them well and offered wonderful suggestions. Iron Hill has something for everyone; with a large menu of well made and well presented food it's hard to find someone who doesn't like anything on their menu making it a good place to take someone(s) that you don't know very well. Iron Hill also has a large menu of alcoholic beverages for adult patrons (Ya old folks). As a brewery, they have a large unique gallery of beers and delicious seasonal cocktails. As an example of their varied menu, their Kennett Square mushroom soup has a more earthy taste, but its flavour varies significantly from that of their equally delicious cheeseburger offered with a variety of cheeses and a selectable patty temperature that comes out correct. (Yep, it's a ✨fancy✨ burger) Iron Hill is very large and has different sections convenient for different parties' needs. My party happened to have a baby, and we were placed out of the way with very few people nearby, which was quite nice for us. The table I was seated at was clean with comfortable seats. Other sections of the restaurant have tables that are in the front by the bar with sports playing on TVs, in the front there are also very large windows allowing a view onto the street from inside, in the back there are large tables for large parties and other tables with a nice view of their open concept kitchen. They also have clean spacious bathrooms with changing stations and many stalls allowing them to handle their well deserved large number of patrons and make bringing a younger child along much more convenient and enjoyable (Not having a place to change your squish can really ruin the experience). Overall (The Skinny?) Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant is a great place that fits everyone, whether you're there to go on a date, to watch a sports game at their bar, or eat dinner with your family and ✨the baby✨ Iron Hill has got you. Iron Hill is a great place to have a meal no matter who you're bringing or how well you know them. They've got something for everyone. I hope your time here will be as wonderful as mine was, I'm sure Iron Hill has something you'll enjoy. Rating?:🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

Today was my college graduation and we celebrated dinner at Iron Hill Brewery in Media, PA. I was skeptical at first because I have an allergy to garlic. Our waitress was a beautiful blonde with short spiked hair. She was very patient and accommodating. She brought out the recipe book and took her time going thru the ingredients with us. She even checked things we didn't ask about and made recommendations to the Chef. All of the staff were pleasant and accomodating. My Mango Lemonade was custom made. And our food came out in record time. Our Luxe Burger was perfectly cooked on a Pretzel bun. It was well done and juicy. The bacon jam was a delightful surprise. The atmosphere was pub style yet family friendly. Our waiter was so pleasant and made us feel like she was only there for us. She kept a professional attitude and upbeat demeanor. My date and I talked about her and our dining experience all night. We got home and fell fast asleep, woke up and continued to talk about how wonderful the experience was. We wish all our dining experiences were this wonderful. We will be visiting again soon.

Burgers were great. Juicy and flavorful. The fries and gumbo was good as well. We sat at the bar and service was great.

Julia are waitress was very pleasant. She was able to answer all questions to fit our order to dietary needs. My father ordered the lunch special including a house salad and a salmon burger, it was excellent. Moist, flavourful and tasty to the last bite. I ordered the voodoo chicken pizza made to perfection and hand delivered by chef Kayle. A lovely experience will be back very soon.

Stopped at Iron Hill on my way back from my eye appointment that was across the street for a quick bite to eat. Realized they were having dining under the stars so I went in to sit at the bar because I didn’t want to deal with the outside crowds. Great beer selection on tap. Jay the bartender was amazing. Food was good! Great time!
Jonathan A — Google review
Very nice, Iron Hill. Closing with no warning. Screwing over people with $100+ unused gift certificates. Admittedly the last couple of meals I had were pretty bad. Great staff. Great bartenders but last burgers were crappy undercooked. West chester tuna entree was a tiny joke too small to be an appetizer. Customer service at the corporate level was non existent. Pity...the berlinerweis not made in the past 6 years was pretty good.

Nestled in the heart of Media, Bittersweet Kitchen is a charming café that has quickly captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike since its recent opening. This delightful eatery specializes in New American cuisine, offering an enticing all-day breakfast and lunch menu that showcases creative comfort food and small-batch baked goods crafted with love by owners Jeremy Pflug and Michelle West. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for weekend brunch enthusiasts.
We dined in at Bittersweet Kitchen for brunch for the first time this past weekend. Our server, Heidi was very helpful in describing the dishes and pointing us in the direction of customer favorites. She even threw in a few extra complimentary items for us to try! We tried 2 of the omelettes in rotation, the western omelette and the prosciutto, asparagus and ricotta omelette. Both tasted great were accompanied by crispy potatoes and a buttermilk biscuit with some honey butter you whipped up yourself.

Cute little brunch place in Media :) The place was packed with people, but they served our food quickly with reasonable wait time. The food quality was decent, too. I met an old colleague here and we enjoyed a little brunch and a walk around media to check out local shops after. It's a good combination of activities for a chill weekend.

The environment inside is a bit small for me, but it works if you don’t mind being in close proximity to others in one big open dining space. Outside seating is available at the corner of a busy sidewalk. I ordered the Scratch Biscuit Sandwich. It may be my palate, but the eggs were just ok. The biscuit was lightly sweetened, bacon was crispy. The service was exceptional.

I’ve been coming to media a couple times a year for business And I usually get the terrible hotel breakfast. But this morning, I decided to go out and actually find something good. I ordered something called the Southern pileup and it was absolutely delicious. Had me scraping my plate at the end.
Michael L — Google review
The Southern Pileup was incredible, 10/10. The potatoes were fantastic, biscuits divine, eggs cooked perfectly, and the sausage gravy was indulgent and well seasoned. The service was also great! Looking forward to coming back. The space was a little small and loud in a cozy quaint way. Exactly what I expected for the location. The space was clean and charming.

Small place just off State Street. Quiet when we arrived, but quickly filled up. Service was friendly and pleasant. Menu choices all seem delicious. Pecan banana pancakes were great! Bittersweet breakfast was very good, with the home fries amazingly crispy. Will come back

Bittersweet Kitchen offers a cozy and clean ambiance perfect for breakfast and lunch. Our server, Heidi, provided excellent and attentive service with a courteous demeanor. We thoroughly enjoyed the Brioche French toast topped with a delightful mixed berry compote and granola—a flavorful delight. The omelet with prosciutto, asparagus, and Parmesan cheese was also a highlight, accompanied by a biscuit and potatoes (which I subbed for mixed greens), adding a fresh twist to the classic dish. Overall, it is a satisfying dining experience with top-notch service and delicious fare. We look forward to being repeat customers.

Cafe
Nestled in the heart of Media, Fellini Cafe is a charming Italian eatery that promises an unforgettable dining experience. This family-run gem offers a cozy atmosphere where guests can indulge in generous portions of authentic Italian cuisine. With around 40 pasta dishes on the menu, including classics like spaghetti with fresh tomato and basil and the delightful linguine frutti de mare, there's something to satisfy every palate. The restaurant's commitment to quality shines through each dish, crafted with love reminiscent of grandma's kitchen.
We had an amazing time at Fellini’s. We were very impressed by their prices, we did not spend a fortune and everyone had a delicious homemade Italian meal. We had 5 adults and 6 children. We all had appetizers and drinks and a meal; we spent &209.00. That is impressive. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great too. On Monday nights they have opera night in the restaurant. We paid cash but they accept all kinds of debt cards. Parking is limited but there is a lot accessible in the rear, free parking on Sunday’s.

We were party of 4. BYOB so we brought 2 bottle of wine with us. Place was packed at the time we arrived. There were 80th bday party group and was restaurant week also. Waiter with a bandana he was friendly and helpful. The food was took a bit long to be served to our table tho. We had to request like 2-3 times to refil the bread since we were all hungry but all the food that we ordered was really good.
Lizzay B — Google review
A group of 7 of us went to celebrate a birthday of one of the group. We were treated well from the time we arrived. D, the host seated us and got us an ice bucket for the wine. Jess, the server, took our orders, answering any question we had. She was very attentive throughout the entire meal. I have been to Fellini's many times and never had a problem but this was one of the best times we have had there. Thanks to everyone there for making it such a special meal. One of the diners wasn't sure what kind of sauce she wanted but they said they could make her one with vodka sauce since everything is made fresh and to order. It wasn't on the menu but they made it special for her. I had the spinach and blue cheese salad. It was amazing! I also had the Cajun fettucine alfredo. This restaurant is a definite "must go". Note: We each spent $50 since we were treating the birthday person. Also we splurged- salads, entrée, dessert and an above average tip due to the wonderful treatment we received.

this evening I had the pleasure of dining at Fellini Cafe, and I must say, the experience was fantastic! The food is absolutely great, full of wonderful flavors that left us craving for more. What truly stood out, though, was the awesome service. The staff was attentive and friendly, making our meal even more enjoyable. Being a BYOB place, it added a special touch to the evening—we were able to bring our favorite drinks to pair with our delicious meals. Just a tip: making a reservation is very important! thankfully we had a reservation else you have to wait about 30 minutes to an hour.. Location-wise, there is nearby paid parking available, which is convenient. I highly recommend Fellini Cafe whether you live in the area or are just passing by. It’s a wonderful spot for a meal out with family and friends. Overall, we had a delightful time and will definitely be returning!

This is an excellent restaurant for an authentic Italian culinary experience. Located on West State Street in Media Delaware County, PA. I've been here 3 times and like to take my date or friends here when I can. The chicken masala dishes are excellent probably the best I ever had. My friend agreed she had the chicken masala. For appetizers we enjoyed the spring wrapped mozzarella sticks and calamari fritti. We opened with a insalata Mista GF with house dressing. Very good!! In the past I have had a very good Spaghetti Carbonara and the Ravioli Quattro Formaggi which is 4 cheese ravioli.
Ken B — Google review
Had reservations so we were seated right away. It is a BYOB, they supply the glasses and will put your wine on an ice bucket if you like. They did not rush us. Serving size was good.
John R — Google review
This restaurant is truly delightful. My husband and I have had the pleasure of dining here on several occasions. It has become our favored selection for date nights when we are in the mood for an authentic Italian meal. We did experience a minor issue once when a waitress appeared to have inadvertently neglected our table. However, the manager promptly resolved the situation and ensured our food was served without delay. The food options are plentiful. Most dishes are served with a generous portion size, often providing enough for a second meal to be enjoyed at home. The most appealing aspect is the ability to customize your dish by adding or removing ingredients to align with your individual preferences.
Michelle F — Google review
We used Fellini for our wedding rehearsal lunch, and used their private room for our group of around 40 people. They were very accommodating and communicative, and everyone enjoyed the food and space. It was great to have our own space where we could put up some decorations etc. Good value for money and we'd definitely go again.

The ambiance of the place is extraordinary, with a lovely bar serving exquisite cocktails and happy patrons. While seating on the first floor is available, it's worth heading upstairs to enjoy the beautiful spacious room adorned with French doors that open during pleasant weather. Due to its popularity, making a reservation in advance is highly recommended.
Some of the best food I’ve had in a while. Starting with the ambience, we ate downstairs. It was a bit tight but cozy and full of life and energy. The service was incredible from start to finish, everyone was extremely friendly and attentive. The food… not even sure if I have the words to describe how delicious the food was. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and home made. I have rarely tasted Italian food this good outside of Italy. I would highly, highly, highly recommend dining here for any occasion. Come hungry!

Fantastic food, fantastic drinks, all around good vibes. I’m posting a few of the meals we got and you can’t go wrong with anything, all of it was 10/10, including drinks. We were a party of 8 and went during dining under the stars which can get a bit chaotic. Two of our meals came out 20 minutes after everyone else’s but they graciously comped one meal when my friend asked what they could do for hers.

Beautiful upstairs seating area! Outdoorsy feel with the warmth of the inside. Our two servers did a beautiful job with the tag team effort. We did a couple of appetizers shared for the table along with desserts that were delicious. The pasta was light and fresh and the sauces were amazing. Can’t wait to go back again. They had very nice drink selections as well. Had an old-fashioned that was perfectly made.

We had an amazing meal with wonderful service! The hand crafted cocktails are so creative and delicious. We had the artichoke appetizer, spicy crab pasta, snapper, and then desserts. We can’t say enough about this place. Only drawback is that this and other nice eateries are not willing to ask people with completely unruly young children to leave (or even control them).

Perfect location in Media to have dinner before a show at the theater. Cocktails (I had the espresso martini and a glass of Cabernet) and food (I had the branzino and my friend got chicken parm & pasta- it’s homemade, so good!! And we shared the charred romaine Caesar salad) are on point. Service is friendly and just the right amount of attentive. Love the Tuscan vibe, window seating is beautiful, sunset is lovely. Highly recommend!

Awesome authentic Italian restaurant. Upstairs seating is quaint and feels like you're in the heart of Italy with the ambiance. Arancini with crab and lobster were the hit of the meal. Service was excellent as well. Will be back!
Annemarie P — Google review
This restaurant is for people who don’t know what Italian food is. I ordered a pizza with funghi and my boyfriend ordered some sloppy saucy meat and rice dish. My pizza was horrible but I was hungry and ate about 1/2 of it. The quality was not fire oven worthy. It was not “croccante”, but rather undercooked and the mushrooms had no taste. It could have passed for a microwaved pizza. We told the waiter the pizza was undercooked, he didn’t seem to care much…we didn’t pursue it. My boyfriend ordered some beef and rice dish. What a horrific looking dish, presentation looked sloppy and messy at best. You would never get anything remotely similar in Italy. Rice was overcooked, it was hidden under a runny sauce. The meat was well cooked and flavorful, but I found the place to be off putting and our waiter while nice didn’t really check in on us. Am not offended to think I will never ever return here. 🤘🏼

I really enjoy having lunch here the people are so friendly and the food is delicious. The best chicken shwarma in the trip state area. Always fresh and cooking right in front of you. We had left overs for two more meals. Time to visit again soon.

This Middle Eastern restaurant located in Media Delaware County sits on State Street near S. Orange Street. As soon as you walk in you are greeted promptly genuinely and seated quickly. The waiter's service was exemplary and his knowledge of the menu was outstanding. I decided on a Shwarama sandwich with the assurance of said waiter and it was very good. He recommended the brisket Shwarama too. Pita is baked in house very fresh I might add. Prices are reasonable. I've been here before over the years and have never been disappointed. Fresh and healthy food choices.

Went to order a cheesesteak as I have heard very positive things about this place. Staff was very jovial and confident about their cheesesteaks and others. I understand why as the food was delicious. Cheesesteak was flavorful, cheese every bite, and just downright good. The bread gave some extra love to it. I will be going back again. They also gave me a little sample of their brisket and I will be getting that later this week.

First, you have to get by the animal skulls in glass jars in the front window display. But, once inside, the service is very prompt and friendly. The sandwiches are definitely overstuffed. BYOB is nice. There are a couple of small tables outside. But State Street in Media is very lively, so you should expect lots of foot traffic passing by constantly.

Very Disappointing Experience I was traveling through the area for the first time and looking for a Middle Eastern restaurant. Desert Rose was the closest to my location, but unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The restaurant looked quite dirty, but I was short on time and decided to order three shawarma sandwiches to go—two regular and one with eggplant. They were closing, so I took the food and left. As soon as I opened the sandwiches, there was a very unpleasant smell. It did not look or taste like shawarma at all. Instead, it was shredded chicken covered in a curry-style sauce with no real flavor. The eggplant was barely noticeable. The taste was so bad I couldn’t even finish it and had to throw it away. My kids were also very disappointed because they were expecting real shawarma, not bland shredded chicken. I do not recommend this place. The food did not match what was advertised, and they should seriously revisit their menu. If this is the style of food they serve, they should label it differently—it was definitely not authentic Middle Eastern shawarma. Absolutely disappointing.

We come to Desert Rose once a year and it’s always a treat. The team is warm and welcoming, and the food is consistently excellent. The chicken shawarma is perfectly spiced, and we were thrilled to learn the secret to their creamy hummus from the chef. I travel to the MENA region often—this spot in Media really hits the mark..

I wouldn't expect it from a Middle Eastern restaurant, but they have the best cheesesteak in Delco hands down. Fresh seeded role, good quality meat, fully packed and cheese nicely melted in. Phenomenal. The middle eastern food is good too.

So when a local told us this place is where to find the best cheesesteak in town, you can imagine we had some doubts about a Mediterranean resto but wow! Were they right! Fresh and generous ! My choice of falafel, hummus and beet salad was scrumptious. Just wish we’d thought to bring a bottle of red. And the prices are really reasonable!
