The Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius offers elegant rooms and suites in a refined beachfront setting, providing a lavish spa, five restaurants, and a pool. It's the perfect getaway for those seeking adventure and relaxation in peaceful surroundings. The resort features a beautiful infinity swimming pool with stunning sunset views, surrounded by palm and coconut trees offering shade.
5 stars all the way! Beautiful location, absolute slice of paradise made into a holiday of a lifetime by the fabulous staff who catered for all our needs from the start to finish. A truly amazing experience. Special thanks go to the staff at the restaurant La Maree, Chef de Cuisine Boojahwon who created the most delicious fish dishes and Head of Service Sarita, whose attention to detail was outstanding making us feel so special every time we dined there whether breakfast, lunch or dinner. Dinesh and Jay both took care of our beach experience and got to know us so well over our ten day stay, that they anticipated our orders and always served them with a smile. Oodaye went the extra mile to serve us exquisite cocktails and joked that he was our personal mixologist! Sanjeev set the tone for our stay on day one with an informative tour of the facilities from his buggy, his smile will be one we will never forget. Jean Francois and Deepak from the equestrian facilities took great care of us both as we fulfilled lifetime dreams to ride along the stunning beach and swim with horses in the sea. If this was not enough, we were also pampered at the gorgeous spa facilities where we enjoyed couples massages from Amillie, Ravi and Luana. To top this all off, we would like to thank the Hotel Manager, Eelco who, despite his inordinately busy schedule, still found the time to speak whenever he spotted us around the facilities, leading from the front and inspiring his team to make every guest feel important. Having experienced all the dining options available, we can honestly say we enjoyed all, whether the fine dining at the Chateau or the BBQ where the chefs cook fantastic steak and fish to your requirements. Thank you to all the team for making this a memorable and truly relaxing holiday. Richard and Sarah Swords, Suite 220

We went there for a spa package. The therapists natasha and komul were great. The massage was good and relaxing. We were upgraded to AI by Mrs Deenee and mrs vimla as we were celebrating a birthday! The services at the restaurant were excellent, mrs vimla and sandriella were really helpful and attentive. The location of the hotel and the amenities were top notch. Will definitely go back again! Highly recommended

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Maritime Resort and Spa, and it was truly a rejuvenating experience! The moment I stepped into the resort, I was greeted with warm hospitality and breathtaking views of the surrounding waters. One of the highlights of my stay was the horse riding session, which allowed me to explore the beautiful coastal trails and connect with nature. The resort's spa treatments were incredibly relaxing, and the amenities were top-notch. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure every need was met. Whether you're looking to unwind, indulge in adventure activities, or simply enjoy quality time with loved ones, Maritime Resort and Spa is an ideal destination.

I had an amazing experience at Maritim! It’s such a serene and beautiful place .the perfect spot to watch the sunset by the beach. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, from the reception to the restaurant and the bar. A special thanks to Andriano, Roshan and Mariam, who were exceptionally helpful and professional throughout my stay. I celebrated my birthday here and was pleasantly surprised with a bottle of champagne in my room such a thoughtful gesture! The ambience around the pool in the evening was wonderful, with great music and live entertainment. Everything about this place made my stay truly memorable. There are plenty of activities to enjoy, so you’ll never get bored. And for golf lovers, there’s even a beautiful golf course! I highly recommend Maritim to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. I absolutely loved it!

One of the worst experiences of all the resorts and hotels I have stayed in our several years of travel. Food: the quality of food was sub par, was also overpriced for what you get. I have never experienced a hotel charging for water despite taking a buffet at dinner. Rooms: Rooms were good, and room service was on time. Service: This is where Maritim scores the least. The staff are heavily money minded and lack the basic service mindset. Front office service lacked heart and commitment towards guests was nil. There were bright spots in our experience staying at the hotel. There were staff who were great- the ones driving carts to the rooms, Chaya from the guest services and Humaira from banquet hall. There were several put off due to service - Antish, Patrice and several front office some staff were either rude and non responsive to requests or unwilling to understand what was asked. I feel that they were inconsistent in their rules, lacked honesty and were focused on money than basic service. It was a disappointing experience staying at the hotel and the positives from the room quality is completely masked by unbelievably low quality service mindset. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

I recently spent a day at the Maritime Resort in Mauritius, and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The resort’s atmosphere is breathtaking — surrounded by crystal-clear water, lush greenery, and a peaceful tropical vibe that instantly puts you at ease. The day package was well worth it! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout the day. The food and drinks were delicious, with a wide variety of fresh options that catered to every taste. I especially loved relaxing by the pool and beach area, where everything was spotless and beautifully maintained. The facilities were top-notch, and you can truly feel the resort’s attention to detail and commitment to quality service. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience — relaxing, fun, and beautifully organized. I highly recommend the Maritime Resort to anyone looking to enjoy a luxurious and memorable day in Mauritius.

My stay at the resort was truly wonderful — a perfect escape by the beach with breathtaking views that instantly set a relaxing mood. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel warmly welcomed with their friendly smiles and attentive service. The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and offered every comfort needed for a restful stay. I especially loved waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying breakfast with a stunning ocean view. The restaurant served delicious meals with fresh ingredients and a lovely ambiance, while the spa experience was pure bliss — soothing, professional, and rejuvenating. Every detail reflected care and quality, making the whole experience unforgettable. I’m already looking forward to returning for another peaceful getaway.

My stay at this resort is absolutely wonderful. The service was outstanding — every single staff member is incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring about making my stay special. You can really feel that they go above and beyond for their guests. And the massage - simply the best I’ve ever had in my life! The spa is beautiful and peaceful, and my therapist was amazing — she had such a perfect touch and immediately understood what my body needed. The whole experience was deeply relaxing and left me feeling completely renewed.

Situated in the picturesque village of Trou-Aux-Biches, Le Pescatore is a charming restaurant offering a unique dining experience. Overlooking the azure waters of the Indian Ocean, this establishment boasts a terrace on the seafront, providing an enchanting setting for patrons to savor Chef Pramod Gobin's imaginative cuisine. With a focus on seafood and local Mauritian ingredients, guests can indulge in a romantic and soothing atmosphere while enjoying warm hospitality from the attentive staff.
We just had lunch at Le Pescatore. The food was exquisite. The decor and setting gave a true paradise island feel. We had the calamar lasagna with sea urchin sauce, tuna steak & catch of the day fish as main. Would absolutely recommend this place.

We came here for a special occasion and tried the tasting menu - it was a very good experience. The tuna tartar and the fish were the highlights: fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and professional, and the atmosphere was romantic, with a beautiful setting right on the beach. Perfect spot for a memorable evening. Would definitely recommend the tasting menu.

An excellent restaurant — truly a lovely dining experience! The canapés were delicious — tuna/ whitefish, perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The starter of prawns and palm heart was a wonderful surprise: fresh, plump, juicy prawns with tender palm hearts and a soft, flavorful cream on top. The main course — berry fish with a delicate cream sauce and crispy tempura okra — was beautifully done and very tasty. Dessert was a perfectly spiced crème brûlée with a refreshing lemon palate cleanser, followed by coffee served with homemade truffles — absolutely lovely 😍 Service was excellent — attentive, meticulous and quick. The ambience was peaceful and elegant, with a beautiful seaside setting that made the whole experience even more special. Highly recommended! 🌊✨🍽️☕️

It is a lovely place for an excellent variety of fish. We went for 4 course set menu priced around £40 per person, and a bottle of wine was extra. We sat by the ocean just after sunset with gentle waves lapping below. So good I forgot photos of the main and desert! Service was excellent with a complimentary glass of rum at the end.

Snack bar
Nestled along the picturesque Mont Choisy beach, Kiosque Magique is a delightful snack bar that invites you to indulge in authentic Mauritian cuisine while enjoying the soothing sounds of the waves. This charming spot offers an array of local specialties, including the famous upside-down bowl, octopus mines, and delicious samoussas—all at wallet-friendly prices.
Hans and his team took very good care of our stomach and thirst ... Delicious shrimps and Pina colada always made us always happy. This place is highly recommended!

I had a stunning fish salad (fish served warm) and a fresh juice. Very efficient service, they will pop up a table for you and the food is fresh. They are a well coordinated team and very friendly. Sea view as on the beach but plenty of shade.
Angela G — Google review
I will go straight to the point! THE FOOD IS AWESOME!!!!! The service is top-notch. They provide you with tables, chairs and proper cutleries and definitely reasonable prices as they provide you all the comfort of a restaurant. Good food/good service and slightly pricey is definitely never an issue. Happy to have tasted the Octopus Salad - ONE OF THE BEST!!! The owners are very nice, friendly and definitely no discrimination between tourists and mauritians (a plus point in my personal point of view) They even offered us a little dash of rhum arrangé - one of the best we've tasted! Keep up the good work Kiosque Magique!! Will definitely come again especially for the octopus salad.😊😊🙏🏽

One of the nicest beach food stops to go to. The prices are great and the people that hang out there are great to talk to. As well as multilingual. The food was tasty and made extremely quick. I recommend sitting down to eat.

Kiosque magique in front of the magic sea of Mauritius. Goods are well used and dishes are fresh and tasty. Octopus and calamars Fried excellent as starter and then dorade grillé as main course is very well done with sausage butter and garlic. Eating close to the sea is a must

Seafood restaurant
Restaurant
If you find yourself in Mauritius, make sure to visit Cabane du Filao for an unforgettable dining experience. Nestled by the beach, this charming spot is run by a delightful couple who create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu features only the freshest seafood, caught daily by the husband himself, ensuring that every dish bursts with flavor and authenticity. Guests rave about the lobster, shrimp curry, and calamari—each prepared with love and served alongside local accompaniments like rice and chutney.
Unforgettable! Whenever we are in Mauritius, we go here at least once for dinner. A lovely family atmosphere, extremely fresh and delicious food. Only what the husband catches that day is served. His beautiful wife is then allowed to cook super tasty food! I read the reviews today that said it was too expensive for a public beach. But it's fresh, made with love for every guest. The sunsets here are simply fantastic. You can also bring your own drinks. So spending €45 for a 0.5kg lobster is worth it! It's a different Mauritian way of eating out. So definitely recommendable! We will be back again and again. Thank you

If you are looking for a place to eat by the beach, this is the place to go. Not only was the owner nice, but the food was amazing. He mentioned that he only cooks whatever he caught that's fresh. None of his seafood is frozen. Such a beautiful experience. It's a tiny little shack on the beach. They set up the table for you and even put up a tarp if it starts to rain. Very considerate of them. Highly recommend.

Easily the best meal we had in Mauritius. If you’re looking for super fresh fish and local vibes served by the friendliest couple you can imagine this is the place for you. Prices are fair and are listed on the wall. They only sell the freshest fish so you never know exactly what he will have that day. We had the lobster, shrimps in pepper and white tuna curry. Every dish was outstanding. We hung out with the owner for hours sharing stories and beers. (Also try the homemade vanilla rum). They even brought out some instruments and played some classic Mauritian music. Amazing experience. Go!!

Excellent shrimp curry and red mullet fillet with the best view 😍

Owners are super kind, friendly and the food is just crazy delicious !! Directly from the sea to the plate, with a quick stop on the plancha/bbq. Quantity is more than what you expect. Best experience on the island ! 😁 (PS: go for the lobster 🦞😋)

We had lunch there and it was superb. Arrived at 12 and they were just setting the chairs out. We ordered the calamari which was one of the best I have ever had. The batter had spices and herbs and the squid wasn’t over cooked. We then had the prawn curry and 500g lobster. They both came with rice, dhal and a tomato chutney. Both where fantastic and I would highly recommend. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English. They brought something to deter the flies and even offered to look after our one year old who wanted to run around. All in all one of the best meals I have had here!

Loved the food here! Best fish curry I've had in my life. The owners vere very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely come back!

Our friends recommended this place for rabbit fish as the best fish they’ve ever tasted. They were not wrong! This little spot with friendly hosts leaves a great impression, the fish was delicious, even the skin! They even put beers in beer holders - that’s a nice touch. It’s a quiet place along the coast with a breeze. Such a pleasant experience!

La Faya is a charming dining spot nestled within the hotel premises, offering an idyllic beachfront location where the soothing sound of waves enhances your meal experience. This restaurant specializes in Mediterranean and French cuisine, making it a unique choice for those looking to indulge in flavors beyond typical Indian fare. While it can get quite crowded, allowing for a leisurely dining experience, be prepared for slower service during peak times.
My favorite restaurant at this hotel. Ate here 4-5 times during our stay. Pasta is very good and cooked “al dente” and proper sauces the italian way. Pizzas also prety authentic and enjoyable. Yo cannot miss deserts, very good taste and presentation. Tiramisu was my favorite.

I'm sure this restaurant has changed its name to waves. That's were we've eaten last night. The ambience, food and staff were excellent. Well done. We had a romantic beach dinner and also had the opportunity to celebrate my sons 21st birthday with family Great memories
