Sea front view area where you can do shopping and have a brunch with your friends and family if you want to go to the beach or something like that I would highly recommend ❤️❤️

Good afternoon fox, me as a Mauritian people this is a place for tourists and a place for stuff. But I don't say for them too. Nice and cool environment but about a bit noisy. You have choices amongst choices what to do and what to buy. A place never stop for people on day time and afternoon. Yes you have to be vigilant too. This is a wonderful open shopping with direct summer holiday. Well is your choice what to ware or not. Pay attention thus place is not like European one but you have to ware properly and not to do provocation to others people please. Be respectful. A place not to be naked but all the religious visiting this environment so be human not dogs.

We did a fishing cruise today. Unfortunately we only caught one fish but we had a great time. Crew was amazing! Just: if you are out for 5h at least, they could serve a small Snack

Nice place in Grand Baie with private parking. Excellent Sauterel restaurant from french cuisine. Unfortunately, not all stores opened after Covid. And so the place appears deserted at the moment. I hope and wish this place and all the business in Grand Baie a speedy recovery from Covid.

We always enjoy our stay with them. The host Christopher is always excellent informative. The views from the balcony are outstanding

Great beach and fantastic food, drinks available. The Coconuts and Pineapple drinks are delicious. Food is fresh and great service.

The view of the beach is nice and the toilets are clean. But the surrounding area and the beach itself could be much cleaner. I hope that the city will deal with it.

As far as public beaches go we really enjoyed it. Be careful by the rocks. There may be urchins. Few little waves which excite thr children. It is pleasant to watch the boats. There are a few food trucks about if you get peckish. They aren't the cheapest. We enjoyed that there were trees about for shade. Many locals bring lunch and set up a table and chairs for themselves... Which was very cute. Neat public toilets are there but take your own loo paper.

Nice tarquish blue water. Clam sea. Very good for swimming. You can hire a glass button boat and go deep into the sea to see corals and a variety of fishes. Lots of restaurants are there along the beach. We enjoyed this place.

Small but nice sandy town beach, busy with lots of boats and street food vendors. The area feels quite bohemian and fun.

Smaller beach that gets quite crowded o the weekend. You might want to visit on a weekday if possible. The public beach is in the Sunset shopping area so worth a trip there.

Beautiful beach with lot of food options nearby. Just ahead of Gloria there are stalls with options like Halim, Roti Dal Pori, Fried noodles, fried rice, ice cream, gato piment etc. Though its a small beach and has parking constraints yet its the cleanest and scenic for some amazing pictures.

Free parking with access to the beach , along with shower and toilet facilities . Lots of parking , not aware of any security issues , and feels very safe . Access to the sea is simple and safe , be aware of the power boats , local fisherman and tourist cruisers - when swimming alway be aware of your surroundings ( speeds of these boats leaves no room for error if they do not see you ).

Beautiful beach with public access. Each beach seems to have a care taker that looks after the toilets and beach area making it very clean. Good car parking area.

Favourite snorkel spot, right down the south end (park opposite dive spirit or near popo supermarket). Good variety just off shore, no boat trips necessary. You can swim to where they go in 2 mins. Crowded in the central part of the beach near car park. Wear water shoes and it's chilly in August

The management team made us feel like valued guests at every step, treating us with such attentiveness and care that we left feeling completely spoiled and cherished. The food was superb, the hospitality unmatched and the memories we made at Trou aux Biches will stay with us forever. Trou aux Biches Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius. The water is crystal clear and calm, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The white sandy shore is clean and great for relaxing with family. It’s an ideal spot for a peaceful beach day with stunning sunsets.

We spent hours in the water here - such a perfect beach to swim in! No shells or rocks to hurt your feet, just pure, pleasant water. And the color of the water? Azure blue and green as far as the eye can see. Simply stunning!

La Croisette is a decent shopping centre, but it’s not very family-friendly. There isn’t much for kids to do, which can make visits challenging for families. The prices across stores are quite high, and the shopping options are dominated by clothing stores, leaving little variety. However, the food court is a highlight, offering a good selection of eateries with a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, it’s a nice place to visit if you’re focused on shopping or dining, but it could benefit from more affordable options and activities for children.

Nice mall with great variety of foods to chose from in the big food court. Tables are very clean and you can never see a fly near you as it smells good every where you go and there are fans so you are never sweating. But overall it is very pleasant to walk around and many activities are available to do.

It's a really big mall with a lot of shops. It is capable of giving a good shopping experience. The architecture of the mall is nice and cool. It has a modern touch. The mall is very spacious so it's a good place to hangout and relax. There is a wide area for kids to play so they are going to love this place. There are two supermarkets in the mall in which Intermart is the biggest i think. There are some restaurants and a food court which cook different varieties of foods of different countries! There is a theatre also in the mall. Parking is available.

Our favourite shopping/eating out place to visit during our holiday 🇲🇺 Has a very open feel to it and a lovely vibe. Also has a selection of stores as well as a well sized food court (majority of eateries are halal 😄)! Also has a cinema and plenty of parking. The Intermart is worthwhile shopping at if you are on holiday to get all your drinks and snacks at a very decent price.

Though there are lots of people during the weekend since it's school holidays, still Love the vibes and restos!! Nice place for family time, chillax with friends or do shopping. You can check out the animal shop there. They have puppies to adopt from time to time. The garden is so cool. Always renovating and well maintained!

Grand Bazaar at Grand Baie has lots to offer. Make sure that you visit before 17:00. My rating could be more if I had more time to spend there. Worthwhile going there. Parking is a bit difficult though.

As someone who has visited Mauritius many times , its better to support the Bazar than overpriced Street guys and hawkers . Its not an air conditioned mall its a market and goods are fine as gifts .etc Best stall for Trainers ,sun glasses,jewellery, bags is just before the main entrance and the Buddha on the right side . Run by Anoushka so helpful and patient, we tried on several trainers etc and then bought quite a few bits . She is a kind natured lady not like some of the stall holders . Do support if you don't want to pay the ridiculous hotel gift shop price for the same goods . Thanks Anoushka all the best.

It's a great spot to browse and shop for souvenirs! There’s a wide variety of handmade items and clothing to choose from. The people are friendly and polite, making the experience even more enjoyable. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for unique keepsakes.

This speech is definitely not our choice, it is too too loud and too busy for us. The water is also not as clear as we like it. Very funny, there were many lazy dogs, laying in the shadows of some trees.

Amazing sunset spot at Pereybere Beach — compact cove with calm, clear water that stays swimmable right up to golden hour, plus handy amenities just off the sand. Arrive 30–45 minutes before sunset to find roadside parking and a shady patch near the park; food trucks and cafés make it easy to grab snacks while waiting for the sky to turn orange‑pink. Families will appreciate the shallow, roped swimming area, showers and toilets; water shoes help for occasional coral or rocks. Tip: for snorkelling, try the left side rocks earlier in the day, then settle in for sunset.

Nice beach with clear water and clean. Gets very busy on Sundays as local people spent the day having picnics in the area. Several food stalls near by with great food to have in the beach while sunbathing. It was a nice beach to spend few hours as soon as we landed in Mauritius. Free parking lot.

If you want to have the best snorkelling experience, walk to La pointe d’azur and snorkel following the rocks near the shore. You will find lovely corals, lots of marine life and we even saw a turtle! The beach in itself is nice with public parking and lots of cheap street food.

Felt very safe. Seemed to be a beach used predominantly by locals. This place is quite local and I will back every chance I get!

One of our favourites beaches in the North of Mauritius. Several parking lots along the beach but I consider the best around the middle as there are plenty of food stalls around. Not crowded, nice views, clean and crystal water. They also have several showers and toilets.

This is most happening place in Mauritius. It has multiple spots to sit and enjoy. Have washroom and changing facility. The beach is very long and gradient is also even. Not recommended foe snorkeling.

The best public beach in Mauritius. No matter how crowded it is, you will not struggle to find a quiet spot. Safe place. The sand is one of the softest, i.e. you won’t be bumping on rocks/corals when walking on the beach or in the sea.

The food was really good here, got the best tuna steak i had so far in Mauritius. The dessert (brownie) was also top. The place is very easy going and service nice. Prices are also fair for the quality you get. I would come back!

1st time we visited was today, Forgot to take photo of meals pre eating ... Looked so go we got stuck in then remembered... Large menu nice staff and great view over the bay. Will be back again for more.

Having known about the Beach House for years and coming since 2012, tonight was unfortunately very disappointing. Aware that it changed ownership a few years ago. Came in 2024 and it was ok. Tonight was a different experience The famous Juicy Lucy burger used to be piled high with the juiciest all beef patty. This time their menu has a cheese filled burger patty. We asked for the burger to be swapped but the waiter had no clue what we were asking for. This went on far too long. With much arguing we managed to make our order. Waiter simply could not understand and was quite rude! We also chose chicken wings starter and a tuna and shrimp salad to share. Verdict- burger was pretty good although not the same as the original Juicy Lucy from years ago. Came with frozen wedges. Chicken wings - possibly from the freezer and absolutely no flavour on the coating. Served with a side bowl of bbq sauce. salad - pretty tasty but only one prawn. We know and appreciate good food and this didn’t hit the mark tonight at all, and for around £40 it definitely wasn’t worth it. Such a shame for somewhere that was very much a firm favorite for many years. Bring back the old Beach House .

Lunch - Fresh catch of Capitaine fish , grilled to perfect with lime dressing , served with rice and veg . The rice was simply delicious with nuts, raisins spice and fried onions .the veg was crisp and delicious . Of course I had a chillie paste just raised the whole fish . Delicious hi. The setting was just paradise on the edge of the water , on a beautiful sunny day , service was excellent . High recommend when in Grand Bay - Mauritius.

Le Capitaine Restaurant Grand Baie did not disappoint, we went there early to miss the evening rush... The salmon was very tasty and the duck was top notch... The view over the bay is very romantic as the sun set and the cool breeze coming from the bay just what we needed after a whole day of galavanting around this wonderful island... Thank you to the staff and chefs that made this a memorable evening...

We had a wonderful time. The service was friendly and great overall. We ordered a lasagna and tagliatelle. The lasagna was amazing but the pasta was very bland. As if there was no flavor except for the shrimp themselves. If not for the pasta this would be a 10/10. I definitely recommend.

We have traveled the world and I can tell you in here , lack of service ,the food over cooked. The octopus was burn literally !!!! They try to justify saying that is on the grill (like we have never ate an grill octopus before) 🤣🤣🤣 We were keep pouring our wine ourselves,so no attention at all to the client,for this price that we payed we were expecting to have attention and quality in the food . So I my humble opinion,it was not worthy the money We ate better and not service in a different place

From the welcome by the owners to the through the meals and drinks this soon became our favourite restaurant in Grand Baie. The food is delicious, I could have eaten the tuna tartare for starter, main, and dessert. There is so much choice from the standard menu and the specials board, something for everyone. Service is attentive without being overbearing and the terrace seating is well spaced and enjoys the sea breeze. Cant comment on the view as it was dark when we went. Enjoyed our first visit so much so that we returned for our final night special meal.

This restaurant is a real treasure to have found. The owners and chef are super friendly and welcoming and always helpful with any questions you have. The waiters know their menu and give you all the ingredients if you ask. Super atmosphere… nice music and cozy seating… and last but not least the food was superb. I had a tooth fish (which is rare to get) and it was the first time in my life to eat that fish. It was succulent. Pity I had a fantastic crab ravioli starter otherwise I would have not been ashamed to lick my plate. Compliments to the chef, staff and the owners. We will surely be back. Ps I forgot to take a complete pics of that fish but at the whiteness you can see the freshness

We spent our last evening on Mauritius at Sauterelle. The starters were all really good! The steak was a bit disappointing though. Also the cheese pasta was not the greatest - tasted a bit boring and the pasta was too much cooked. But the staff was really friendly and service was also good :)

No brainer - a MUST try in Mauritius. It Kouloir is as simple and exceptional you can get, a tiny place with a few seats, with delicious unapologetical food Started with a few dumplings and noodles, then had to try all the other dumplings Prices are extremely affordable, please leave a tip they deserve

Pricing is arbitrary. There is no indication on the menu. I was told dumplings was 15 rupees per piece and it was changed to ‘some are 20’ when the number didn’t add up. Noodles was quoted as 150 rupees but changed to 245 for some reasons. Maybe different pricing for tourists. Don’t expect much from fried noodles. Dumpling soup was too salty and dumplings were nothing much to shout about.

If you're in for some more street food kind of place, that's your place to go. The ladys are charming, helpful and full of heart! And it shows also in thenfood which is just fantastic. They only have some basic noodle dishes and dumplings with soup. But it's all you need as all is simply delicious. Go there and you won't regret it. Awesome price to value ratio, too.

Fast, efficient & tasty food and not too much oil. Boulettes live up to the hype. With takeaway you sadly get no broth but you do get spring onions. The lady serving was quite curt/brief although efficient; the lady at the back was a bit warmer. Provided homemade piment which was actually spicy - most of the piment we’ve had here so far is only mildly piquant Favourite boulette was the tofu and cheese one. The mine looked nice but we didn’t have it We tried to go a few times well before the apparent 7PM closing time on different days and each time upon arrival it was clear Ti Kouloir had shut a while before. The discrepancy between online info and actual reality is not unique to Ti Kouloir in Grand Baie or Mauritius though! Suggest you go around lunchtime, like before 1PM.

Best Mine bouille and boulettes, It's a small restaurant, not touristy and a lot of locals go there. Cheap, top quality, fast. Very recommended! It's in a back street, parking spaces are available in the street. Food was ready in about 5 minutes. Restaurant sign is almost hidden the on side and faded however its a tiny noodle shop tucked away from the bustling main road. You will be able to spot it from the string of customers. Basic menu of noodles either boiled or stir fried and dumplings in soup. Cheap hearty meal with a range of condiments

This is a very pleasant restaurant overlooking the bay (on the upper floor). We found the food to be of high quality, especially the starters (try the smoked Marlin gratin), and the service was good for mauritius standards. The prices were reasonable, and it would have been a five-star rating had the tiger prawns and crab been properly dressed.

Starter is average. Main course chicken mushroom is very tasty. Tropical Mocktail is a must try.

This‘s a restaurant where you won't go wrong no matter what menu you choose. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. There aren't many tables and the seats are small, but the atmosphere is good.

It is a great local experience! The place was recommended by a local host and it has really tasty food. We had some appetizers and main course in large portions. I recommend the chicken noodles and the calamari curry. The menu has many options and we will surely come back.

The service was great and the food arrived quickly. We ordered seafood gratin for starters which was absolutely delicious! We chose Octopus and Capitaine (the local fish curry) for mains which were also great. Overall a wonderful meal!

Very sweet place for a lunch or coffee with a variety of delicious food, a lot of vegetarian options and homemade yummie cakes. Very reasonable prices. We paid approx 17 Euros for two persons with drinks and main dishes. It’s at the main road but the garden is in the back so you are not disturbed by the traffic.

We went to this place for brunch. We wanted a la carte but came to know that only buffet was available. Although we are not much of big eaters but we were so hungry that we decided to have the food there. This costed 520 per person, so we ended up spending 1040 for two. The food had a little indian touch in it. The hosts were very sweet and nice which is why I rated this place with 5 stars. Keep up the good work.

The food was absolutely fantastic! We ordered several dishes to try different flavors, and everything was delicious and full of taste. The waiter was super friendly and funny, which made the experience even better. Excellent service, great food, and very reasonable prices. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Great curry. Samosa starters were beautifully spiced. Free popadums. Dry prawn curry and coconut prawn curries were delicious. Tarka Dal was a bit thin, but tasty. Excellent value. Recommended

BEST butter chicken I’ve ever had. The lamb dish so tender. The garlic naan and cheesy naan = perfection. Servers are sweet and fast. It felt like home! We went twice in four days because I was craving it. A must! And so cheap

During our Mauritius stay in the north we visited the restaurant twice as we liked it that much. Owner and all staff was super friendly and quick. Food (butter chicken, naans etc) was great. Taste and price are wonderful. We can recommend it fully!

Very fresh and satisfying grease-free homemade food. Excellent chutneys. Naan with coconut and bananas, the tropical version. Very scrumptious Mauritian seafood curries. Overall, very flavourful and with just enough spicy kick to enjoy it. Generous portions, good value for what you get. Very friendly owner who happily explains what you are served.

Went there last night for dinner with kids. We were greeted by a nice gentleman. Food was nice and we were attended by Komal who was really attentive and helpful. Only thing we didn't like was they forgot our smoked marlin on our pizza but Komal got it fixed quickly. Overall it was nice, quick service and good food.

I went to this restaurant and based on my experience, I wouldn’t be inclined to revisit. The garlic bread, though visually appealing, was quite deceiving. It lacked flavor and would have greatly benefited from the addition of some cheese to enhance the taste. The green chili paste served alongside the dishes was overly salty, as were the pizzas. The "Coin de Mire" pizza was particularly underwhelming, with only three small mussels that left me disappointed. The other pizzas shared the same problem—they were far too salty to be enjoyable. One of the most surprising aspects was the onion and calamari dish, which I expected to be onion rings. Instead, it turned out to be battered onion, which didn’t quite meet my expectations. However, not everything was a miss. The pistachio crème brûlée was a standout, with its rich, creamy texture and balanced flavors. This dessert was the only redeeming factor in an otherwise lackluster dining experience.

We truely waited for more than 1 hour to get served. The food wasn't good for the expensive price. I also got sick from the food. (stomach ache, diarrhea and kidney pain)

Loved their Pizza. We took the Pizza Cote d’or & Terre Rouge. The banana chips on the pizza were a bit stale though. I would recommend their Vanilla Mojito, it’s good. Overall, value for money. The ambiance lacks some light and maybe an AC inside. A bit too dark. Would visit again.

When there on Sunday 02.01.2022 for lunch with our little family, we tried the four cheese, Pepperoni, Regina & Chicken Hawaiin pizza and all were excellent. The service was prompt and efficient. We personally recommend Lolita since she was our waitress during our meal😊

Had an amazing night till we checked our bill and find out that the cashier was adding drrinks we did not ordered and made us pay for it. Is it how u guys make more money?When asked for an explanation, she told she served us which was not the case. This place need to have staff which are in their senses and stop stealing us! Be more professional.

Shame on this place for having staffs that are not in their senses to work. You have a cashier that have no manner of talking nor even take up orders! Been there waiting for a long time because she was taking orders for her friends before us and chatting with them. On the good side we have had a good musical experience even on a low crowd monday. Place seemed alive with good music.

Amazing food and good live & dj ambiance on weekends But on the downside is that there are many drunk staff there who can't even do their job like the lady cashier who tried to swindle our money and act like nothing while security guys don't have manners to talk and privileges' certain people to smoke on the bar and us not...they even tried to make us pay drinks for them so as to get in... Hope you guys look into that matter cause apart from that we had a great time dancing and chilling... 06.09.25 update; great to see that you updated the security, did not see that long security guy who deals stuff there. But disappointment is that u guys still have a thief on cash counter. Paid an entrance and had a great musical experience but a poor service from the bar. Atmosphere was superb.

We only ate here once, but the lamb shank was huge and delicious and the burger was superb. The onion rings side was also huge and the acoustic guitar was a bonus. An easy bar to recommend

First time trying out the palm heart salad and it was amazing. The ambience and food were really good. The service was unfortunately very slow. We waited for some time to be acknowledged because the place doesn’t have a host at the entrance. The restaurant area is open and it started raining however they have some umbrellas that kind of help keep you dry. The live band sang so beautifully which helped in making the ambience a lot more special.

It seems nice on nice on face value, prices are fair for a touristy place workers seem nice but will profile you basing on race most likely trained by the Indian management ! If your black you will be asked to clear your bill the moment your served! Which is odd. Even you want to spend more you will just not! Actually some black and African tourists spend more than whites! If your someone of color and easily get upset by racial profiling avoid! As for me I stayed till closing time!

It is a nice place to chill. We had some drinks. Light meal. Was quite busy so service was a bit slow. The live music was good. We will return

From the moment we arrived, the experience was unforgettable — my wife was welcomed with flowers, which set the tone for a beautiful stay. 🌸 I enjoyed the room service meals, which were top quality. All the staff members were professional and welcoming throughout our stay, making us feel at home. I highly recommend trying the fish of the day with mash, it’s absolutely delicious and something you won’t regret. The beach and heated pools are breathtaking and truly feel out of this world. And to top it all off, the barbecue was the cherry on top a perfect ending to a perfect getaway. 🔥🍴

We stayed 6 nights in September. First of all, hospitality is remarkable. Reception staff is so welcoming. Moreover, restaurant workers are just so so much attentive, smiling and professional. I hope the hotel management notices their contribution to excellent hospitality and service. Secondly, I want to mark beautiful landscape design. Everything is immersed in greenery. It is just wonderful. Regarding the cons, I would suggest a room to improve with the ring bell on the beach. In our umbrella it didn’t work and housekeeping. The room was huge indeed and it was easy to miss some hair or dirt on the floor. So the cleaning personal might be just more attentive to attentive clients😀. P.S. Welcoming champagne is such a nice gesture after super long way and local honey as a gift to remember Mauritius trip is really making you feel cared.

In general I’m against visiting a country or a hotel twice, as I believe there is so much to explore. HOWEVER, this hotel is on my new “I’ll be back soon” list. We decided to make this hotel our home for the first 6 days of our honeymoon, and when I tell you, this is luxury, I mean it. Both my husband and I have travelled extensively and stayed at beautiful properties, but this one beats them all. From the beautiful grounds, to the amazing rooms (we stayed at the most basic one and it was sooo nice with a view to die for), to the great location in Grand Baie, to the best quality of food and finally but most importantly, to the amazing amazing service, everything was a 10/10. The staff is just welcoming, so accommodating, so professional (everybody knew of us by name), honestly there is nothing I could or wished to change. We can’t wait to come back for our anniversary and many more occasions, and we already agreed we will recommend this hotel to anybody going to Mauritius. Truly worth every single penny.

Compact and very pleasant airport, although far too poor infrastructure. There is a lack of pubs to eat or drink. Car rentals just outside the terminal exit, so you don't waste time looking and walking around. Upon arrival, check-in could be expedited. If you arrive on the island and stay, no one clung to the lack of a completed form. On the second arrival, which was de facto a transfer with a few hours' change, no one wanted to let you in to still explore or use any of the beaches if you didn't have a hotel stay. Only after the intervention of the staff from the airline, the customs officials allowed into the country.

We visited Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport twice — on Sep 27 (arrival) and Oct 04 (departure) during our family vacation to Mauritius. 🏖️ It’s a small but well-managed airport, easy to navigate and quite clean. The real highlight, though, is the breathtaking view while landing and take-off 😍 — since the airport is so close to the coastline, you get to see the vast turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean 🌊 right outside your window! A perfect first and last impression of this beautiful island nation 🌺✨

SSRN Airport is well organized except for its parking which has a messy design and you can easily get lost. All areas of the airport itself are clean and well maintained, up to expectations.

One and only airport in Mauritius it’s well maintained & staff is polite, helpful in the time of need. Lots of duty free French wine options and shopping centres with Delicious Indian Food Restaurant “Take off Bar”. Spirits are easily available.

Mauritius is a small island. But very neat and clean city and well maintained. The people’s and their cultures are really good

Organized, clean, cozy ambience and very friendly staff, including the custom and border protection. The only challenge was to look for our luggage, because we came on the A380 and they had to use two conveyor belts to offload everything. And we were running from one to another like crazy
