Burger Urge, a local chain eatery in Smithfield, offers an array of mouthwatering gourmet burgers crafted with both meat and plant-based patties. The dedicated staff seamlessly collaborated during a particularly busy night, exhibiting exceptional teamwork. They consistently delivered excellent customer service and food quality, reflecting their pride in their respective roles. I would like to express my gratitude to the entire staff for providing a delightful dining experience with prompt service and amiable interactions.
We’ve eaten here twice in the last week and I wasn’t going to leave a review (so my pics aren’t great) as we’ve had Burger Urge so many times before - but the staff here go over and above and the quality of service js something we hardly see these days so I had to write a review! The ladies have been smiling, welcoming, assertive and an absolute pleasure to be around. The food is always good and arrives quickly. These girls all need a pay rise! Congratulations ladies. You’re all incredible!

The burgers 🍔 are great I have tried several! Highly recommend if you’re in the area. The chips 🍟 are also really good as a side for those amazing burgers.

This is my favorite burger place. Love going here with friends. I usually take the cali double smashed beef burger, it’s amazing. The sweet potato fries are incredible as well. Big thank you to the kitchen who is making these awesome burgers! And big thank you to all the staff who are so friendly. Special thanks to Tenai, he is just super friendly and attentive. Always makes my friends and me feel super welcome. Awesome team, outstanding food and the 50‘s vibe styling of the whole place makes for a great atmosphere as well!

We had dinner at this place, and a heavy part of the fan fell directly on my son’s head. Shockingly, no one from the management came out to help us or check if my son was okay. One of the staff members told us they had asked the managers to fix the issue several times, but the managers said they were busy training new staff and that it wasn’t their responsibility. This place is not safe, and the staff are extremely careless. Update When we asked for the CCTV, your manager “Alicia” said your solicitor will have to request it so I won’t provide you my contact information and you WILL hear from our solicitor. I also have a recording of your staff member saying that they requested this fan to be fixed several times and the management never did it and another recording of your manager saying she couldn’t come to check up on my son as she was busy training two new staff members.

5 adults and 7 kids (8-18) just had the best dinner in this restaurant. Food was delicious and well presented. The customer service exceptional. The staff were so helpful and always with a smile. Wonderful experience. We will definitely be back ! Thank you.

As a Burger fanatic, being from Sydney we’re quite spoilt for choice when it comes to burger joints but this place is right up there amongst the top tier spots that I’ve had for sure. 3 visits in 4 days & every time; the burgers & chips were hot & fresh, the price is fair & the food is quality. This place is legit. The double burger with special sauce is the jam & the fries are delicious too!

Food was delish. The service was let down dirty table . When wiped down waitress left it wet and sticky. Bugs flying everywhere. Had to ask for cutlery as caddy on table empty. The food was saving grace for this venue. Burgers were on 👉 point as were the fries.

If you're in Smithfield, QLD, and looking for a quick meal solution, Domino's Pizza is a fantastic option. This popular delivery and carryout chain offers an extensive menu featuring not just pizzas but also a variety of other dishes and sides to satisfy your cravings. Many patrons find it to be the perfect spot for those evenings when cooking feels like too much effort. The new Italian flavors have garnered attention, with the carbonara being a standout favorite among customers.
The best pizza we have had from this store, the staff were very accomodating as I order the pizza for 4.45 but arrived at the store at 4.25 and they made it for me straight away and it was deliciously👏👏

I generally use this place to have a quick meal when I'm too tired to cook. The pizzas are ok, I particularly like the new Italian flavours. The carbonara is my favourite among all. Sure is far from being like an Italian pizza but it still enjoyable 😋 The service is reasonably fast almost all the time. They have lots of different deals too, which is always a good thing 👌😁

Don't order from this place. I thought I'd give this another try, but never in my life did I pay nearly $40 for something this disgusting. Stay away..

The pizza were terrible the guy turns up says I was in such a rush I forgot your drink - the pizzas are soggy nothing thin and crispy all thin and soggy - the meal is inedible - the only thing you could eat was the garlic bread and the cheese pizza - they clearly needed to be cooked longer -or maybe we should have been the last in a long line of deliveries - who knows -it was rubbish took a bite has to d own out but out / domino’s Smithfield ID 80 I wonder if he’ll come back with the drink ?

Greasy pizzas, food prep bench cleaned with a rag that used to be green in colour but is now black with grease and dirt. Just disgusting

AVOID THIS STORE! Pizza & orders are consistency late, cold, damaged, unpresentable & the customer service is non existent. Store manager lacks experience, communication skills & is full of excuses. Can’t wait until the new Pizza Hut & competing business open across the road from this store.

Would give a zero if I could. Took 1 and a half hours on hold to be told 3 different answers every time I gave up and rung again. Took 2 and a half hours to get pizza from initial order and had to pay more because I canceled origenal order and they couldnt match the online deal over the phone even after this terrible service. Not only this delivery was also 15 minutes later than I was told in final phone call
Jamie M — Google review
Food was so burnt. I had to scrape the burnt bits off the garlic bread just so it was edible. My son who is vegetarian found a piece of meat on his cheese pizza. Very disappointed.

If you find yourself in Cairns, make sure to stop by Hungry Jack's Burgers in Smithfield for a satisfying fast-food experience. This long-standing chain is known for its hearty beef and chicken burgers, complemented by delicious ice cream and refreshing soft drinks. Many visitors have made the switch from other fast-food spots and are thrilled with their choice. The milkshakes are particularly delightful, while the hot chips come out perfectly crispy every time.
The food is great but depends what you order. The fries are perfect and I personally like the thickness of it. The service is good with fairly new ordering machines. The atmosphere is quite nice; however, it has the stereotypical fast-food beeping.

Being amongst the first customers on a Sunday morning at 6:30 a.m. we would have expected that the place would have been cleaned overnight. But no, the tables were still dirty, there was old food on the floor, and the bathrooms were filthy, not having been cleaned at all. This included old urine around the urinal and toilet paper scattered on the floor of the men's toilet. The food itself was a sad state of affairs, looking almost nothing like the food in the photos. The small sliver of bacon on the burger was a sick pale pink and nothing like the advertised fried piece of bacon. It appeared that the wrap had been thrown together as quickly as possible and, considering the price, it was well below any form of expectation. I reported this to the manager and showed him the tables and the toilets. On the positive side, he was very apologetic and pleasant but, at the end of the day, it is still his responsibility as it is a reflection on the company.

Probably one of the better locations around Cairns for some quick fast food. Never had any issues at this location. The prices are also not too bad.

We have always been maccas people but we have decided to boycott them, so decided that we would try Hungry Jacks. We are so glad that we tried them. The milkshakes were very tasty and the hot chips were cooked to perfection. We used the drive through and had no wait time. The staff were really friendly and efficient. Thank you Smithfield, we will be back next time we are in Cairns

Couldn't understand the person taking my order at the drive through. Had to say so several times. Thought I could hear muffled laughter in the background. Finally spoke coherently to me. I said at the pay window I couldn't understand a word being spoken to me. Got an apology. Waited several mins from around 1:15 for my order. Several cars behind me. Lots of talking in hungry jacks area. Finally my food came, was casually handed to me "here's your food " Quickly checked inside the bag. Loaded chip box, lid open not even filled correctly, gravy and chips stone cold, 2 juniors whoppers, cold, 2 small chips totally cold. Worst experience ever. I know it is a show holiday but your getting paid extra wages to work. First time I've ever had to complain. Only go randomly. Always had good to fair service. Today was terrible. Won't be back .
Anne W — Google review
It was in the afternoon and clearly not busy as I was the only person in a car using the drive through. I waited for several minutes to place my order with no success. I called out to the microphone and again no success. I drove round to the window. The window was in the closed position and I could see several staff members standing around talking. Some even appeared to be dancing. Finally someone saw me and slid the window open. Before I could speak he said, sorry about that, we were changing headsets’. I did not respond and I placed my order. I drove to the second window and collected my order. I drove to the car park to check my order and it was incorrect. I had to go into the ‘restaurant’ to let them know. They rectified the issue. After such a wait the quality was not good. The chicken wings were cold and dry. I am well aware I am not purchasing Michelin quality food, but something boarding on edible would be good.

Horrible burgers, went there tonight, fries were cold, they forgot to give us one our drinks, got home and there so much mayonnaise on every burger that we couldn’t even eat them, they ended up in the trash. Never ever going back, it is disgusting! I don’t think there was a grown up supervising all those kids.
Nelly P — Google review
Always, Always check your order in drivethrough, 9 times our of 10 they will have something wrong its so frustrating, more so when you check it quickly (count burgers/chips) then you get home to find the wrong burgers etc. Get yourselves sorted HJ

Conveyor belt sushi restaurant
Sushi Train Smithfield is a delightful dining experience that features an impressive array of sushi and sashimi served on a conveyor belt, alongside hot Japanese dishes. This beloved spot has been a favorite since its inception, particularly in the Cairns area. The menu boasts exciting new additions, including 23 vegetarian options, ensuring there's something for everyone.
Nothing to complain about here. Food was available instantly, it was good and not expensive. I went by myself so they literally stuck me in a corner where the conveyor belt made a 180 degree turn. I took what I wanted, ordered a drink and started eating. The food seemed fine, I had no problems with its taste or freshness. I was especially happy to get some good tekka maki

Fresh sushi can't be beat.... so happy with our choices today. A family treat!

Sushi train is always good. Foods are amazing and staff are friendly. No bad comments at all. And I saw there is a special prosciutto and melon sushi it was quite eye catching!

This has been my favourite Sushi Train, ever since it was first built. And currently my equal favourite sushi place in the Cairns area. It's lovely to see so many new additions to the menu, including a whopping 23 items in the vegetarian section. I had an old favourite, the Semi-Dried Tomato & Avocado Roll, along with two things new to me, Asparagus Rolls and a Healthy Kinoko Ship, which is Enoki mushrooms on top of a roll wrapped with a cucumber strip. Mmmm, lovely. I don't know if I'm a fan of the new QR code & order on your phone system, as opposed to the previous touchscreen menu, but I suppose it has some up sides, including me being able to bring the menu up on my phone, after the fact, for reference. I didn't use any soy sauce, but the website indicates they have the option for a gluten free sauce. It's not on the menu anywhere, so I guess you have to ask.

Loved the food, service was fast and easy but the atmosphere could do with some little updates and I did find it a little dark in there. The lighting was fine, it might have been from dark decor.
Rachel W — Google review
This sushi restaurant is great, from the huge variety of food to the calming atmosphere from the lights and music. The service is good from the servers to the train of sushi. Overall, it is great to eat at; however, there are sometimes that are busy, so you'll have to wait.

Fantastic food, reasonable prices, but service is often inattentive.

Great shopping centre with all you need. Two big supermarkets. Coles and Woolworths. Kmart. Lots of clothes shops. There are opticians, phone shops, cafes and restaurants, butchers, jewellers, discount shop, hairdresser barber and beauty shops, chemists, post office, banks and other speciality shops. Small playground outside. Plenty of parking but it does get very busy at times. Event cinema next door.

Italian restaurant
Makin' Dough is a family-friendly pizza restaurant in Cairns that uses hand stretched dough, made daily in traditional Italian style. The crust is perfect, not thick or too thin, and tastes just like a real Italian pizza. In addition to great pizza, the restaurant offers friendly service and delicious food.
We had a group of 8 people and shared pizza , pasta and Nutella calzone for dessert. It was all delicious. I don’t live on the north side but it was worth the drive and we will definitely be back. (The pasta is half eaten in the photo) it was a very full bowl 😆

Read lots of great reviews so thought we would try this place. Absolutely terrible. Pizza base was burnt and clearly pizza was left in the oven too long. Very minimal, thin topping. “Garlic bread” was like cardboard, and over cooked as well. Could not even eat one piece. Overall disgraceful, considering our meal cost over $40. Definitely not the “Aussie” experience we were after.

Very good pizza even better then it looks tastes really authentic. we got the Bufala with added salami.
Zara J — Google review
We enjoyed a supreme pizza, minus onion and add pineapple, it was good pizza but they are not super large and the cost!! Menu price $28.90 however we were charged $33.33, I assume extra for the tablespoon of pineapple and credit card fee.
Tracy S — Google review
Would never return, ordered a margarita 21 dollars, nothing on it but cheese no basil, no herbs, no fresh tomato, no buffalo mozzarella.. its just cheese nothing else. Call a spade a spade that's not a margarita & that's well over priced for an only cheese pizza. Also watched the cook stuff his fingers into peoples pizzas to pop the bubbles in the dough one pizza he slam his raw fingers 3 times into a cooked pizza then straight into the box disgusting.
Ryan K — Google review
Being from the states, I have a pretty good idea in my mind what I think is a great pizza. This was by far the best pizza I've ever had in my life! In fact I had it two nights in a row. The other five members of my family raved about it also! Phenomenal
