Beautiful beach, lovely clear sea. Parking is bonkers! Go by bus and save the stress and hassel, we did and was the best way to get there and enjoy some hours. Does get very busy. 🔆🩴⛱️
I had a car rented during my holiday on the island, but unfortunately I couldn't use it to rich Cala Turqueta and Cala Macarelleta. Starting with June until end of September the access to these two caves with car is impossible but with bus only. This is because the parking spaces are limited on these 2 beaches and the acces from the main road/highway to them is very narrow. So, the best way to reach to the beaches from whatever you are located in Ciutadella, Cala n Bosch, Cala Blanca is to reach the bus station "Via Perimetral" - Ciutadella . From here you can take bus Nr. 68 to Turqueta or bus Nr. 69 to Macarelleta. It cost 10 Euros per person covering both ways for each destination. Once arrived , you will need to walk for up to 15 min. through forrest to reach the sea. It s worthed, the water is pristine, beautiful colour, silence. Enjoy. Ps: Don t forget to return in time to your scheduled bus.
We parked at Son Bou and walked the coastal path to Cala Turqueta. It took an hour or so each way but meant parking was easy. It’s a beautiful beach but was pretty busy, even in early October on a weekday.
Cala en Turqueta is a true hidden gem! The water is unbelievably clear and beautifully blue, perfect for snorkeling and swimming. The beach is surrounded by lush greenery, making it feel like a peaceful oasis away from the crowds. It’s the perfect spot to relax, enjoy nature, and soak up the stunning views. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in the area!
Cala en Torqueta is one of the most beautiful coves of the island, we reached it thanks to a boat excursion and we have no idea if outside the beach are available some kind of service, inside the beach there is only a lifeguard station and no more, you must have your own umbrella. The sand is white and there are lots of panoramic point where you can take photos and dive from it. This is one of the most recommended coves of the all island. You must see it.
Don’t go here. Unless youre planning to go at 05.00!!! We arrived around 9.30 but parking was already full and the people made us leave.
There is 20 mins walk to the beach. The parking is free but limited to probably 200. The parking is also attended and you will be guided to the next parking spot. At the car park there is bar which sales food/snacks and drinks (Only cash though). You can also take your shower there (1€ per minute of water in a coin drop in box). It is really worth to visit it. Bear in mind if the car park is full it probably means the beach is also packed up. But the water is usually really clear and the scenery is mindblowing - Thanks god for the best there is no concrete there....
Beautiful place to go. Try to be early (get there before 8AM) since it can be limited (mostly due to COVID measures). In high season, sometimes it can get full at 7:30. There's a small serving cafeteria at the parking with some snacks, although, bring your own is more recommended. A note on this beach: rather crowded and it smells a bit due to a mangrove at the back of the beach.

During my chess journey to Menorca for the Menorca Open, I spent time exploring the beautiful city of Ciutadella. The Puerto de Ciutadella offered a picturesque setting with its charming harbor, historic architecture, and vibrant atmosphere. Strolling along the waterfront after intense matches provided a perfect balance between competition and relaxation. The blend of cultural richness and scenic beauty made my stay truly memorable.
The old town is worth a visit shops cafes and history. There is a market twice a week. The harbour also has cafes worth a visit.
We love it this beautiful town Ciutadella. Lovely walk through the town leading nicely to the beautiful port. Very nice local people and lovely traditional shops around. Overall nice to visit. Highly recommend.
We visited the craft market on a Friday evening and I can honestly say this place is absolutely stunning! Like a postcard perfect port town lovely restaurants and shops and the craft stalls were amazing too! Lovely night!
Very charming old port with beautiful views and a great atmosphere. Perfect place for a walk, with many restaurants and cafes along the water. A must-see when visiting Ciutadella!
Stunning marina. Lined with tapas bars and restaraunts. Well worth a visit. Used the bus service, from Talayot Appartments. €1.70 euros each way. 20 minute walk through the amazing Citudella.
Menorca is a hidden gem. It's mesmerisingly beautiful. People are very friendly and nice. Food is great so far.
Pretty port with lots of interesting things to see. Quite a long way up to the town though.

I love to visit Cathedrals. In every city or place the first building which I love to visit are Cathedrals. This was amazing. The architect is great. When you look up, you can see the figures of animals and humans which are wonderful.Inside the cathedral is great. There is one part which was mosque before in muslim attack and change to cathedral again.
After the Menorca Chess Open, I spent a slow afternoon wandering through Ciutadella’s old town. The narrow stone alleys, the golden light by the marina, and a table of local tapas — prawns, croquettes, and Menorcan flavours — all came together for a perfect end to my chess journey. A lovely way to unwind after the tournament. 🏰🍤♟️
You just have to go to Cuidadela Everything about the place is wonderful! So clean and no litter in the streets. I went into the Cathedral, the stained glass windows and the size of the Cathedral is amazing! Definitely worth going to Cuidadela and the Cathedral.
Beautiful cathedral, attended Mass at 8.30pm (summer schedule, 7.30 in winter) & had enough time to look at the side chapels afterwards.
Beautiful church. I loved the architecture. Good historic point, if you want to educate yourself. lovely collection of some relicts. You can enter every room a learn a bit of history of Minorca and this church. Just be aware that it is closing at 2:30 pm. Welcoming and friendly staff. Would love to see English captions on the pictures which were taken during destruction of the church after the civil war.
Que to get in on the day we went so preferred to admire from outside..stunning. .found this little hidden garden at the back by chance ..gorgeous..worth visiting
We loved Ciutadella, with its beautiful architecture, bustling side streets, pretty shops and lovely harbour. We had a fantastic meal down by the quayside and spent happy hours wandering around. There's a lovely city beach for those in the know and a fascinating history to the city.
We just love the old capital! We visited in May and it was so peaceful to walk the main streets and alongside the harbour. The shops were great & not expensive. Most cafés don’t mind you calling in for a drink but please ask as some prefer you to buy both food and drink. I would recommend sitting alongside or at the end of the harbour and watch the world go by! Also, please check out the local history. The cathedral is so peaceful and the historical houses are worth a visit too - all 5 euros each but please try to visit just one. Take your time and enjoy your surroundings!

Beautiful, unspoiled beach with crystal-clear water. About a 10-minute walk from the parking lot, through pines. You can still see the remains of what looks like a WWII defense structure with tunnels. We couldn’t see them, but in the swampy areas between Es Tancats and Platja des Bot it should be possible to spot freshwater turtles.
Amazing view great beach but no facilities at all you should bring your water snacks and everything (no mobile service and no taxis around)
The best beach in the west, better than famous ones because it's easily accessible at any hour, spacious and very diverse, you have sand, you have rocks, you can even surf.
Such a beautiful beach on the north of the island, with yellow and red sand. Its very quiet in the morning, I suggest to arrive there around 9am and you'll probably be alone! Parking is just 200mt from the beach.
Cute little beach not to crowded. You can walk easily to next beach from there. Can get a little windy.
It’s kind of pink sand. Lovely place if you want to visit 2 beaches in one day. You can go by walk to beach Des Bot and this path is amazing
A very nice sandy beach with shallow water of about 20 m. perfect for families with children Good parking not far from the beach
Very lovely beach and coastal area. Was fairly crowded when I went so keep that in mind, the beach is also quite small in general. Overall, would recommend anyone in the area to give it a go, well worth it!

Stunning natural beach. Numbers are limited so didn’t seem too busy. Crystalline blue water, white sand and many varieties of fish to see when snorkelling. Easy walk from car park. Easy walk also to Bellavista which is slightly larger. Some limited shade but no amenities so bring all you need.
Nice but narrow drive through the farmland. There are plenty of parking space. Short walk from the car park you will be greeted with white sands and blue water. Calm water on the right hand side for snorkeling and stuff.
Great beach, not very crowded, crystal clear water - Bahamas in Europe 🩵
After paying the "Tasa Turistica" you'd expect much better services! Instead of improving the parking facilities, signs on the road or the online info, the town hall prefers to pay staff to just close the accesses to beaches leaving literally hundreds of angry visitors to turn back. It's a problem that is not being addressed in a permanent way. Its also an insult to all who love this island and return year after year.
It’s a bit of a tricky drive to get to the parking lot but it’s worth it! The water and the sand is absolutely pristine and it’s perfect for swimming. Unfortunately it was a bit rainy when we were there but a lot of people were still having a great time.
The beach was paradise I’ve been there at sunrise 😍
One of my favorite beaches. It’s quiet in September, I felt comfortable not having as many people around as usual in July and August. You can relax 100%
Pretty beach even on a rainy day. Few minutes walk from the car park. Hoped to go for a swim, however, amount of seaweed put me right off.

Fabulous views across the ocean in all directions, nice rocky paths around the lighthouse area, parking on the street. At the lighthouse itself there is a pricey restaurant (which celebrates sunset by waving napkins) and there is a big separate bar area where you pay €12 per person and get any drink off their menu included in the admission.
It's beautiful, like the entire coast in Menorca, but to get in it's really a restaurant where you need to spend money. There is a path in the rocks that you can follow, it is a good place to watch the sunset.
Really nice place. Unfortunately we’ve lost the dj performance. I could suggest some live music and party after the dining time
The view is that nice my girlfriend had tears in her eyes. Anders our server was amazing really friendly & chatty. The food was all unreal especially the prawns. The only thing I would say a little peppercorn sauce would go lovely with the steak. Haven’t paid the bill yet so might regret all that’s said x
Great place to walk to from the harbour in cala'n bosch. Amazing views and drink choice is great and reasonable priced considering the location. Staff really friendly and efficient and they even move tables round for you when it rains so you can sit under the covering. You definitely have to visit if your staying in the area.
Great location, note that if you're going in to watch the sunset and just have drinks, you're charged 12€ each, but can exchange the receipt for drinks. The beers are small so go for gin! It is a beautiful location, and they make the sunset an event. It was a treat, but after that we watched from the shoreline
This place was not only not good but very expensive. The light house is cute but you get better photos from the distance and the staff was very rude to people trying to go past the tables to take pictures of the sunset. Very basic set up I truly don’t understand the hype.
Stunning sunsets. Get there early to ensure you get a seat

This cala is heavenly! I don't know why the water and the sand were more perfect in this place. The hike from cala den Turqueta is really nice and very much worth it. Very beautiful!
A lovely beach. Beautiful water, but there were some jelly fish. Quite small. From the parking it took us approx. 40min the long way around the shore. If you go thought the “forest”, it will be much faster.
A long way along the stony path and shruby woods. Quiet with no facilities. Sand and sea. The wood are Medditeranean pine. Cool and sheltering from the sun. There is a bit of natural shade from the rocks.
Nice beach in a cove
Its good but bot the best cala. Nice rocks to jump from. Remember : PARKING SPOTS ARE LIMITED! GET THERE BEFORE 9.00am
Another fantastic beach with great clear ocean well worth the effort to get there.
Great little spot of paradise. Come early to get a got spot. Walked there from San saura
It is mind blowing, it's a trek (30 min) but it's well worth it! While you are walking there's a point of incredible peace. You see the ocean but you can barely hear it, it's like a murmur. So relaxing! Take your time and take it all in. The beach is clear, the sand is soft and is not too deep. Incredible, just incredible.

(Translated by Google) Place not very frequented by tourists especially in September, excellent for snorkelling, bring a mask and shoes for the stones because if you go to the sea from the beach you will find rocks, otherwise you have to go down some stairs along the sides of the coast, good sunset. Fascinating place but only for a few. There in the area there is an archaeological site and a path that walks on a mountain ridge referred to as cani de cavall ruta. Sleepy coastal small town. Appears to be in the process of being developed into a pretty nice and exclusive resort, with new roads, white washed houses and a few restaurants. Doesn't appear much going on here but there is a small beach, some restaurants and the bronze age necropolis caves. There is a bus to here from Ciutadella, so it is accessible by public transport. Also on the Cami de Cavalls coastal walk.

Fantastic old quarry, some bits unsuitable if you are a bit unsteady on your feet. Spent a good 2 hours wandering about. The maze is excellent for children.
We would highly recommend a visit to this beautiful botanical quarry. We got a Taxi from Ciutudella which cost around £6. The sheer scale and surroundings is mesmerising. We easily spent 3-4 hours here and enjoyed a picnic in the Medieval Garden. The maze was really good fun and it’s definitely worth a trip down to the Theatre. A lovely day out.
We were optimistic due to the good reviews, but reality is that the botanical gardens are not at all botanical - it’s simply an arranged Mediterranean garden, which must have been beautiful 10 years ago but now is handed over to itself. The industrial side is an impressive whole in the ground but nothing else. No real explanation or living history. We paid 8€ for adults. 3€ would have been ok…
A great place to visit and walk around. Very interesting and unusual. “A large series of gardens in a labyrinth of quarried stone, formed by the interaction of man and nature”. Tip - Purchase tickets online in advance. They only let a few people in at half hour intervals. We booked in the morning for 12pm and people who had arrived without tickets found it was full.
The place is very nice and lots of charm. The personnel is very nice. Only pain point : the indications to follow are not vert clear. It would be good to note the names of each stop.
'Old stone quarry' does not sound too exciting ... but it is brilliant! The sheer scale of the quarries is spectacular. You walk around a well signed route and find little planted areas that are cooler and beautifully planted. The maze is great fun and the main amphitheatre is so big you have to look at the size of other visitors to realise the scale!
Amazing historical site! Dated from the time of the Funiciers 1000 BC Absolutely impressive and beautiful.
A really lovely place to explore and chill out. Visited on 7th October 2025

Ancient funerary structure & collective tomb constructed in the shape of an inverted boat.

The Naveta d'Es Tudons is a spectacular and well-preserved example of ancient Menorca. This impressive stone structure, dating back over 3,000 years, offers a fascinating glimpse into the island’s prehistoric past. Its unique boat-shaped design and historical significance make it one of Menorca’s must-see archaeological sites. Getting there is easy and convenient, there’s a parking area right on site, and it’s just a short 5-minute walk along a well-marked path to reach the Naveta. The peaceful surroundings and clear signage enhance the experience, allowing you to fully appreciate the site and its remarkable construction.
Interesting stone monument located a small walk from the main road. Monument itself is situated within a walled area accessed through a field which has livestock so something to be aware of. No toilets/cafe etc although some picnic benches located my the monument on the outside of the wall. Plenty of car parking and a gated entrance with a small hut to obtain info and pay for admission.
You have to be a dedicated historian/ archaeologist, keen explorer to enjoy the very exposed walk from the car park to this monument. It's not particularly rough terrain but there are few times of the day when you won't feel the onslaught of hot air and sun. Be warned the crickets have ownership of the field you're walking through. I'm not bothered by them jumping across my path, though young children might yelp in surprise. The written blurb at the entrance and on the boards is quite dry and bland. I'm none the wise how the naveta was really used because you cannot really see inside it though the barred opening. My daughter was disappointed and so was l..
They charge you very little to gain access. Very helpful and informative young lady in ticket office. AAAA++++
Man, I got lucky. The first customer of the day, beating a coach party by 20 minutes. Very pleasant receptionist. Site very clean and tidy. All nicely laid out and posted. A 400 metre, easy walk to the chamber, which is quite something to behold. A small, sheltered, picnic area with benches for those needing sustenance.
Cool to see the pre-roman Taliotic history of Menorca. This burial site is between 3/4 thousand years old and is worth a visit if passing, the signs give great detail about the site. Also worth noting that a visit on a Monday or Tuesday is free (otherwise €2).
For anyone interested in bronze age humans this is a vitally important site. It's very simple but a perfect example of a funeral chamber (upturned ship). Pleasant walk from the car park which is clearly marked off the highway and some picnic benches under the trees. It's free on Mondays, small entry fee otherwise.
Fascinating ancient building / burial chamber. It was free entry the day we went, with free parking at any time. I like how it is totally uncommercialised , a few explanatory boards to make you aware of it's history and left to wander around without restriction. You can't enter it but can see inside through the entrance with the aid of a torch. Half hour is plenty,, it's right on the Me-1 so a place to visit on the way to or from elsewhere (it's very close to the Ithaca quarry) but well worth the stop.

The surrounding cliffs and greenery make it feel like a hidden paradise. It’s a fantastic spot for swimming, sunbathing, or just taking in the stunning views. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area! 🌊☀️ If you want to see more beautiful places like this, follow me on Instagram: @the_nori_z
Tried to go but got turned away. Got there at 1030 on a Wednesday and the parking lot was full. Didn't even get to the parking lot, let alone the beach.
It’s a bit of a drive in, and you have to hike about 45 minutes to get to the beach. But you end up at a unique beach with iron red sand that’s a little less crowded. If you don’t mind a little walk, definitely check this little beach out
Fantastic walk in farmland of 45 min to get to pristine blue waters sandy beach. Rocky and sand dramatic views. Peaceful reserved beach. Good to keep fit and test your resistence. No vigilant and no bar.
Amazing beach! would definitely recommend you to go there! Be aware that the road to this beach is aprox. 30-40 min long by walk within first 20 min on a beautiful straight path in a shady grove and then you have a bit steep path with stones and rocks so it is probably not for everyone. Have some snacks and loads of water with you. Wear sneakers or hiking boots!
more like 40 mins to get there but 100% worth it. the hike is nice and the beach is absolutely perfect. it was really not crowded the whole afternoon even though it was a very sunny saturday. really amazing time. nb : there was a lot of waves though, not high but to be noted for the people who don’t really enjoy them.
It’s a bit of a walk until you reach it but totally worth it. A nice stretch of sand, surrounded by an incredible nature landscape, clear waters and just a few other people around
Certain places should not appear on maps, they are treasures worth to be discovered. Just love it

I can't describe how beautiful this place is. The especially gate was closed, but we found the way to reach the place.Lighthouse closed . Long walking from the parking area but worth it.
Stunning location unfortunately when visited it was very windy but you could still enjoy the place and quietness - car park is located not far from the far but you gotta walk for about 10/15 minutes
Punta Nati Lighthouse is a stunning spot to watch the sunset, the views are absolutely beautiful. We learned that it’s best to arrive early if you want to park: the first day we got there just before 8pm and the parking was already full, so we had to leave as there’s nowhere else nearby to park. The next evening we arrived around 7:30pm and found a spot without any issues. From the parking area it’s about a 1km walk to the lighthouse - super easy, but I’d recommend wearing proper shoes as it gets rocky closer to the lighthouse. Definitely worth the visit!
Pretty remote location, you drive a few kilometers on a narrow road and then have to walk another 1000 meters before you get to the lighthouse, which doesn't seem to be open to the public. Climbing over a wall you can walk around it to the cliffs, where you are rewarded with stunning views of the coast line and the sea.
Beautiful spot and a great walk in nature. The lighthouse was built in response to numerous shipwrecks along Menorca’s northern coast, particularly after the tragic sinking of the French steamship Général Chanzy in February 1910. This incident resulted in the loss of 156 lives, leaving only one survivor. Under pressure from the French government, construction commenced in 1912, and the lighthouse was officially inaugurated on September 1, 1913. The landscape surrounding Punta Nati is known as “dry Menorca,” characterized by sparse, low-lying vegetation and rugged terrain. The area is marked by long lines of dry stone walls, interspersed with stone huts (barracas or ponts de bestiar) used by shepherds.
From the parking lot, it is about a 10-15 minute walk to the lighthouse and the period dungeons. It is free to visit and walk around. The view is beautiful, closed shoes are recommended.
A nice spot and viewpoint, after you drive a long straight road, up to mid point, there is no entry of the car. So have to park the car at the car park and then walk around 10-15mins to the entrance of the lighthouse. The gate closes.
Walked a long a very long path to a gate no entry i took photos was closed although it said open online September 2025

Beautiful! Worth the visit and not very difficult to find, we loved it and wish we spent more time there, will come back again for sure
Park nearby. Not too busy. Fascinating ancient necropolis.
We were really impressed by this necropolis. It's easy to park outside with plenty of information boards about the various caves around the site. I was surprised it was just free to enter and walk around! Lovely views over Cala Morrell. If you're in the area I'd also recommend looking around the bronze age fortified settlement remains at Es Coll just on the other side of Cala Morrell.
Ancient cemetery. Absolutely loved this place. Loads of caves to explore and the surrounding area. Small car park over the road. No amenities. Free entry. An absolute must visit if you are in the area and to be honest it’s worth a visit if you’re not. Can be a bit craggy in places so decent shoes would be worthwhile.
Fasinating burial Chambers, its amazing to think how these massive caves were dug out of the rocks thousands of years ago. Lots to see and you can go into the caves to explore and a couple have amazing views out to sea. Highly recommend if your in the area.
Was really surprised with how much there was to see her, and all for free!! This would never happen in the UK! There is parking on the road and you just walk through the gates and then you can just wander where you want. Everything is open, no restrictions or safety barriers. The caves and tombs are remarkable, to think they are over 1500 years old! We spent a good hour there. Well worth a visit and then head down to La Morrell beach and have a swim!
The best Menorcan historical site we’ve seen. Very easy access. Well worth a visit followed by coffee and beer at Ivette’s overlooking the bay. Beautiful!!
Fascinating place . Well worth a visit . Not good for anyone with mobility issues .Narrow paths and steep steps. Parking near by probably will be an issue but there's a carpark at the top of the hill before the road down to the site.

Nice quiet place to watch sunset, plenty of place to seat and meditate or just look how colors are changing on the sky. Also beautiful walk along marine with all boats.
Small Castel at the coast, beautiful area around to hike and enjoy views.
Free entrance on this nice little castle in a beautiful location in the Ciudadella of Menorca, with stunning panoramic view. Only 35 stairs to get to the top, and it's worthy to look around 360 degrees.
Beautiful outside and great views from the top This was just a 10 minute walk from our hotel along the Passeig Marítim to the south east of the port and the city. We walked past on many days and visited one afternoon as it is open from 4-9pm
The castle didn't open. One can only have a look outside.
Imposing medieval structure at the end of a waterside walk. No facilities there but cute all the same.
Great little castle that is on a pleasant walk around the coast. Opening hours were 4-7pm which meant we didn't get inside. Has some great views and history.
If I got this right it opens 4pm till 8pm. Nice little area to take in. Picture the kings steps and look across bays
