Beautiful experience!! Our guide (English group) was excellent and we enjoyed our full 1h30 tour without even noticing how the time flew so fast! We understood the importance of Tenerife to the world of astronomy and we had the opportunity to observe the solar activity and to see a telescope from so close. Totally recommended, thank you so much 🙏
A really interesting visit and lots of information about the site, telescopes and science. The site is hilly, and there's lots of walking on crushed lava so wear good shoes.
Very cool tour about 1.30hrs but if you’re not interested in telescopes I’d say it might be a bit boring for you. Very well informed guides who are happy to answer questions even with the language barrier. Wear comfortable closed toe shoes, bring water, sunscreen and sunglasses! Lots of great views from the site but there’s a viewpoint on the road up to the observatory that you can get similar pictures of Mt Teide.
Very nice excursion, the guide was top notch, the place itself has incredibly beautiful views and with the guide's explanations, the existence of telescopes and their necessity in Tenerife is much clearer. Thank you very much for this opportunity!
The Observatory Tour was great. Our guide Adriano did a very good job, he was able to convey the content in a catching and interesting way. Also the tour itself offered many mindblowing facts about the sun and universe. 4 stars because it would have been nice to see GREGOR telescope from inside and the goodie store was way too expensive.
Amazing!! We had to book the spanish tour cause the english one was sold out, but our guide was fantastic! He explained everything very well, usino clear vocabolary and talking slower for us to understand. The visit was very intersting and we had the chance to see the sun through a telescope. 100% recommend. Also, they provide sun screening umbrellas, but make sure to have a hat and sunglasses too, cause it's very bright up there, as well as water.
We were on a long cruise and one stop was Santa Cruz. We booked a tour up to Teide Mountain for the afternoon. On the drive up the mountain, the guide proudly pointed out the white buildings up on the mountain as the famous observatory of The Canary Islands. Our tour did not visit there but maybe on another trip.
We went on the 21€ each drive yourself up there trip with 'Get Your Guide' and all worked out fairly well. Our guide's English was not very good, so unfortunately we missed a lot of the information she was trying to give about the place etc. Seeing the sun spots and sun flares through a couple of refraction telescopes at the end was good.

16th-century Roman Catholic church featuring a bell tower with views of the city.
Slide 1 of 8
A beautiful 16th-century Roman Catholic church with a charming bell tower that offers incredible views of the city! It’s a must-visit, as it was the first temple founded in Tenerife and served as a model for other churches on the island. The ticket is very affordable, just €2, and the climb to the top of the tower is absolutely worth it for the stunning panoramic views. Highly recommend this historical gem in La Laguna!
If you’re in La Laguna, don’t miss the Iglesia de la Concepción — the first church built in Tenerife, dating back to 1511. It’s absolutely breathtaking and immaculate, and you can truly feel the Lord’s presence as soon as you step inside. The bell tower tour is a must and costs only two euros; the views over the old town are stunning. A peaceful and unforgettable stop for anyone visiting the area.
This church is located in the historic district of La Laguna. I recommend you to go up the tower because it has a nice view of the city, just don't do it during the bell because it's loud and it happens every 15 minutes :). For tourists, the entrance to the tower and the church costs 2 euros. If you are a student there is a discount, but I don't remember how much
Only 2 euro entrance for tower and church. You buy tickets at the base of tower. It was not very busy. The church is very pretty inside with silver alter pieces and lovely stained glass windows. Their is a lots of beautiful carved woodwork. The pulpit is rather impressive as are the different ceilings. Some look to be carved in 3d and very colourful. The church is in a very good state of repair and very well kept. Their is a donation box by the exit. The tower climb is not easy as steps are very deep and steep and spiral at the top but their is handrails and nice views over the city on all sided and mountains. The bells ring every 15 mins so if you dont like loud noises try to avoid those times. Good value for money and well worth visiting we thought as took a good while to do both.
Nice plaza with old church. Many small restorans and puba around. Good area to walk as there are many pedestrians only roads. Good place to hang around and have artisan beers. One of the streets is full of shops so you can kill your time easily.
Beautiful, peaceful, picturesque church.
The Church tower is unique and visible from far away, mainly because it is made from black volcanic rock. Church itself is very nice.
Impressive stand-out tower

We enjoyed a cello concert and it was beautiful. Amazing staff, great space for classical music.
Excellent gallery in la Laguna, very well layout over two floors. I will be checking his work further. Certainly very interesting work, the video (with English subtitles) is very useful, showing the intellectual development and thoughts on nature and life of the artist. Highly recommended!
Today we visited the permanent exhibition at the Fundación Cristina de Vera along with a group of 20 young people from the BST (British) school. Although we had not booked in advance we were shown round by Karen who offered to give an impromptu talk to the students and explained some of the meanings behind these wonderful paintings by Cristina de Vera in the permanent exhibition in this beautiful old building. She then forwarded information to me about up and coming events which are being organized for school parties. Our students really enjoyed their visit and we would like to thank the director and Karen for their helpfulness and friendliness. We shall definitely be returning. Thankyou.
You won't regret of visiting this unforgettable museum.

The Holy Cathedral in the historic center of San Cristóbal de La Laguna is absolutely stunning! Located in a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999, it has a rich history dating back to the 16th century when it was first built as the Parish of Los Remedios. It became a cathedral in 1819 and was beautifully reconstructed in the early 20th century. The architecture is breathtaking, and its historical significance makes it a must-visit when in La Laguna. Highly recommend for history and architecture lovers!
It was closed around 1pm on a Wednesday, so couldn’t see inside, but grateful for the beautiful cathedral in the heart of this amazing UNESCO protected city.
Nice place, very atmospheric. Was surprised ro pay for entry, but with the digital guide it was worth the money. Some beautiful altar pieces on display. Great experience, felt very connected. Lit a few candles for family and friend lost.
Didn't go inside, but beautiful building from outside
Great place to visit. Excellent location. There is a fee for the entry. The car park is a little further away. Recommended!
Impressive cathedral church with beautiful statues and architecture
Just stunning! Beautiful church and the audio tour was very informative!
In the cathedral, you can see a beautiful statue and stained glass window of St. Anthony of Padua, the patron saint of travelers. The decoration of the cathedral is rich enough for a religious building located on the island.

Popular with children, this science museum offers playful, interactive exhibits, along with events.
Slide 1 of 8
Nice museum with children or not. Spent an hour easily only for 5€ per adult. 3,5€ if you have a group >8 people.
It is not too dissimilar from many other “science museums” oriented towards a younger audience. That said, our kids loved it, of course, and requested 5 stars, even if some exponats were out of order. The open terrace with solar clock and real radiotelescope deserves attention, as do the information on guanche script, the Santa Cruz oil refinery model, and the seatide calculator.
Apart from the inconvience that theres no english translation ( you can use google translate for instance ) its a nice interactive place.
I've been there a year ago but recent visit to Las Palmas counterpart reminded me about that visit. It was quite fun, a lot of interactive exhibits and all of them were workong correctly. The only downside was that nothing was described in English but there was wifi and Google Translate exists - though it gets tiring reading everything through phone camera lens.
This is really for kids. Usually I enjoy it regardless, but it's all in Spanish (which makes sense, as it's for kids). I had trouble translating everything, though they provide a translated document digitally. It made me focus on my phone more than the exhibition.
Very nice museum, with lots of (working) interactive demos. To get descriptions in English you download a pdf via a QR code - why can't they print it?
What a great place, with lots of interactive exhibits. The volcano exhibit was cleverly put together and with curtains to walk through made the suspense even better. You can get translations of what you are seeing and audio guide if you sign onto their WiFi, good to remember earphones if you struggle translating the Spanish. I got lost in the maze of mirrors, lots of geology, physics and astronomy thrown in. Biology and Chemistry take a bit of a back seat, but that suited me. Great value at 5€ for an adult.
I come from France and the Museum should be a place to visit and I see that it's closed. However, it's Thursday, November 13, 2025, and the website says it's supposed to be open.

I really enjoyed my visit to this museum. It's located in an old mansion, the Casa Lercaro, which is beautiful and worth seeing all on its own. The museum itself is a nice size—not too big, not too small—and gives you a really good overview of Tenerife’s history, from the 15th century right up to the modern day. The exhibits are well-organized and easy to follow, covering everything from the island's social and economic development to its cultural traditions. I especially liked the sections that showed what life was like in the past, with furniture and objects from different eras. It’s a great way to understand how the island and its people have changed over time. It's a perfect stop if you're already in La Laguna and want to learn more about the history of Tenerife without getting overwhelmed. Definitely recommend it!
Well done museum depicting the colonial history of Tenerife and the building itself, but lacks geological and archialogical history pre-dating the colonialism. There is an audio guide to fill in the details captured in each room. This museum is a good starting point when walking the historic district of La Laguna.
Nice place. Easy to faind. Is a underground parking not far away from the museum. The entrance to the museum is 5e nice price for a bit of history of tenerife some days is free so you can chek the website for it.
It’s a beautiful building and the staff were very helpful. The contents are presented without AV support and purely in Spanish, which is fine, but it did not live up to our hopes. Nevertheless, we had a fine time.
A splendid local museum, it is very focused on regional history. Copies of documents denoting many important facts are displayed. The museum also contains information about the building, which is an exhibit on its own, and even traces the history of the family that owned it.
The history of the places visited always complements the journey. Apart from tourism, Tenerife also has a centuries-old history that is worth getting to know by visiting this museum. Notice the beauty of the building's ornaments.
Beautiful place, welcoming and friendly staff, alot of history. The carriages are something to see ! Too bad they don't show more of the history before the colonial period, I reckon it's purposefully done so...
The building is beautiful but the museum is like something out of the 1970s. Totally glosses over Tenerife's major role in the slave trade and the terrible treatment of the Guanche people. This is not the history of Tenerife, this is the history of the Spanish people who conquered Tenerife and who don't want to acknowledge their part in anything

Amazing free 1h tour of La Laguna old town. Our guide David was very knowledgable, funny, passionate and his English is great. We really enjoyed this tour and when trying to tip him for a great job that he’s done, he would not accept any tips since working for the tourist office. This tour is a must if you are in La Laguna!
We did the free walking tour in English with David and it was perfect! Full of insights, interesting information and curiosities about La Laguna. David is super nice, speaks very good English and answered all of our history- and architecture-related questions. Very much recommended to learn more about La Laguna in a fun and engaging way! 5 staff in a beautiful building spoke English, helpful and offered additional information. For hiking ypu need go cruz del carmen to get professional walkers advise but they did offer me a map of walks on the island excellent gentleman served me , all happy plus told me the market was on agricultural and I loved it , plus historic buildings and opening times were given and a great city map
Received a tour from David where we were led into some of the historic houses. Great eye for detail and the historic quirks of the area.
Closed on Sunday without any information or leaflets available.
Closed on Sundays. OK, I get it, people want a rest. In other towns, the tourist office was open on Sunday though, but whatever. But one thing I cannot understand is why you cannot leave some leaflets or maps, since your patio is open anyway, and there is a space for it (currently with local free newspaper).
We met Davide at the beautiful tourist information in the old town of La Laguna. Davide did step in for a colleague to give my girlfriend and myself - just the two of us - a great tour through the historic old town of La Laguna in German Language. You immediately notice how much Davide loves his home town and his job: with good reason he is proud in his story telling and since he is very knowledgeable about the history of Tenerife and la Laguna he is open to any questions. After a one hour tour on which we saw places and learned things we would not have on our own, Davide left us with great tips for spending the rest of our day in La Laguna old town. We recommend Davide as a guide to anyone who wants to experience the pleasant backyards of La Laguna - amazingly for free! - Thank you, Davide!

Really nice chilled out place. It gets busy in the afternoon. It's best to get there early as possible. Heats not gonna help with the trek, so morning chill is a god send. Two trails to follow as well as a third for wheelchair access. It's fun to do the trail and see nature
A nice little piece of peace and heaven. Beautiful view from the viewpoint, beautiful drive there, nice roads, plenty of parking when we were there. There are some trails from this point that you can easily hike if you are even somewhat mobile. I'm in horrible shape and I did just fine. Only negative is that apparently their toilets close at 14:30.
Of the most beautiful places I have visited around the world. Very beautiful and with wonderful views.
Beautiful Viewpoint, tho you will need a clear sky to see Teide
The place itself is nice and has multiple trails starting or running through it. It has all the amenities and parking lots. But…it’s way too crowded! Try to come either early or find a place to park a car somewhere else in vicinity. There’re pockets on the road before and after this viewpoint. It’s better to find a trail you’re interested in and find where it crosses the road. That would be convenient place to park a car. Hope it helps someone 🙂
Amazing view, day and night.
Great hike. It’s like you’re in a jungle.
A very nice walk in the woods, it was cluady and softly raining but it was fun, the nature is breat taking. Try to stop side way if you see others do that, most likely its a good spot for walking. The temperature is colder because of the 1.2 km height. If you have a walking stick use it because what goes down must go up again

It was marvelous ☺️ I spent few hours here, exploring history of taxidermy, art, radio and cinema. You don’t have purchase tickets , only donations are welcome 🤗
Beautiful building from outside, didn't go inside though
Beautiful building. Free access to several exhibitions. Unfortunately, it’s closed most of the afternoon and I arrived only 15 minutes before 1pm closing time.
Unfortunately it’s under renovation and going inside to see the ruins is not possible. And update on google would’ve been nice. Also getting in the normal part of the church’s was not possible.
Disgusting work of the staff, they are rude and do not open the museum on time. The museum was supposed to open at 11:00 but opened at 11:20. Where is the local mayor's office looking?
Interesting historical building with beautiful garden backyard. Free entrance, so definitely worth a stop if you are in town.
Abandoned and not renovated church, now a museum. A beautiful garden. The museum has a display of 18th century mechanical and electrical appliances
Quiet, old and now a museum. Lovely quadrangle garden and old fashioned museum displays. The scientific instrument collection is impressive in its coverage of key mechanical and electrical phenomena of 19C and early 20C academia.

Who cares if you can't go in, the patios are stunning and thank you to the church for sharing their site for tourists.
Part of the tickets to other churches and places in La Laguna. I do not mind the price. But when I have to pay and then there is no info that all the other places fridays at 12.00h.... sorry that has a bad feel. Opening hours are not marked on the ticket at all. Place looks to be very interesting and I had hoped to see more.... but it is closed and you have no info about opening hours on site.
Very beutiful and quite place. I enjoyed sitting in silence and watching the plants. One of the places one must visit if they are around.
Two lush patios and beautiful woodwork on the galleries make this canarian house definitely worth a visit.
Wonder why they include this place in the city tourist tour given you can only visit or see the patio... As you can for free at many places in La laguna
Stunning brick work and wood work with a very nice courtyard. Do swing by!
Beautiful place to visit, definitely worth a drive here
Curious house with a patio full of provocative and unique sculptures.

The museum was housed in an authentic Canarian house which had been immaculately persevered. There was a kitchen laid out as it was used originally. There was the original water purification system in place. Loved the mouse trap. The rest of the museum focused on the different costumes of the Canary Islands.
Hard to find but use google maps. Deserted only people in. Really interesting visit learning about old Tenerife . Loved the audio visual access to old photos too. A less visited site and its obviously currently being developed outside with garden area. good facilities available and easy parking. If you have done the main attractions this is the solution for a new experience.
If you are interested in history you will be disappointed. Few pieces of textile, some bourgeois household items and a garden with basically "modern" farming methods still in use around the island. I guess it is basically a wasted taxpayer money for renovation of old colonial house. Worth only for nice Instagram pictures. Please rename it to "Museum of agriculture of Tenerife"
Free entry on Friday and Saturday after 14:00. A very nice house with an even nicer garden full of plants, birds, lizards and places to sit and relax. Not many signs in English so at least basic Spanish knowledge is definitely required.
The museum is an ancient villa. It was the house of the owners of the surroundings fields. There are multiple rooms and exterior zones to understand the life in the island in the last century. My favourite place is the gardens.
Amazing collection of artefacts and history of Tenerife
This is for the service. We came in at 16:28, with the last entrance being at 16:30, and the woman at the counter would not let us in anymore. We would have been more than happy to just do a quick tour, but she clearly just wanted to close up and go home.
It's an impressive old canarian building which is perfectly maintained with beautiful gardens but both of these are more interesting than the content of the actual exhibitions.
