Absolutely adorable little place where to stop for a short visit. There is nothing special about the castle other then a cosy museum to wonder around. Family ticket cost us only 5 eur. For the kids surely nothing much to do there but it all depends on how informative you are. The mammoth in the middle of it is really impressive!!! But despite it, the whole place had this peaceful and calm atmosphere. After the museum, I surely suggest to chill out a bit in the cafe. The only thing what felt wierd was that the dinner offer is available only till 14.30, after that you have only cakes and drinks available.

This is one of the hidden place close to herdecke. One afternoon I decided to walk to this place from herdecke to check out this museum, trust me I never expected that it would be so much interesting. The entry fee is very minimal like 4 Euros for adult and if you are a student then it’s just 2 EUR. You will finds different types of rock structure which are thousands years old which were found in Hagen. Ask for a souvenir especially the elephant one which I like the most which will cost only 2 EUROS..
