Just returned from a week skiing in Valdisere. I had the best instructor for the week. Alain made every lesson enjoyable and through his teaching I gained more confidence every day. Alain really cares about the progress his students are making. Most evenings he will send you a video that he has taken during the day just to show you how much you have improved. He is professional yet fun. I would highly recommend Alain as an instructor if you get a chance definitely ask for him.

We’ve had a wonderful week of Ski Lessons with the very patient, kind and supportive Alain. Our children also had 3 amazing instructors Daniel and Joseph & Luca (sorry if I misspelled the names). We would highly recommend Oxygene Ski School, when we return next year we’ll be coming straight to you guys, you were all fab! Thank you ☺️

We had the pleasure of having Alain Dautriche as our guide over the past 5 days - with a group of 3 teenagers and an adult - Alain was the perfect coach and guide. His patience with the group, professional guidance and tuition were very well appreciated by our group. Alain is an excellent instructor who spent equal amounts of time on both tuition but also fun skiing. He has a wonderful sense of humour and is a perfect gentleman - I would gladly recommend his services to anyone - 5 star service and tuition! We will all leave Val Disere as more accomplished skiers with wonderful memories of our times on the slopes!

I had an amazing weekend with Terry in preparation for my BASI 3 tech exam (I passed). His teaching style blends a deep technical knowledge of skiing, clear academic background and passion for his students, to create one of the best coaching environments I have been in. He is also very personable, we were never short of conversation, the week flew by. Thank you.

We had an off piste guiding session with Kieran. Wow. If we could give 6 stars we would. He was brilliant, he pitched the level perfectly for our group, found great snow for us, was a champion photographer and importantly made us feel super safe at all points in time too. He also gave really good tips as well. Highly recommend TDC

We really enjoyed our three days of private coaching with David. David was an excellent coach, and the sessions were perfectly judged for our needs. We also enjoyed the discussion on the lifts, which further enhanced our understandings. We'll definitely use TDC again.

Despite no fresh snow for over two weeks, I have just completed one of the best off-piste weeks I have had in years. I skied with Terry on some of the most iconic routes around Val and Tignes and he was always able to find the good snow. In fact, most of it was the best chalky snow I think I have ever skied. Thank you for the tips and tuition where needed and for really enhancing a great week in the mountains. I think I might be back for some spring snow later in the season!

Superb instruction and off piste guiding in Val D’Isere. Safety conscious at all times but still providing a feeling of adventure. Keiran is a guide who finds the perfect balance. Very impressed yet again.

I was lucky enough to have.beginner off piste ski lessons with Steve Angus from TDC for a week mid Jan. It was fabulous. Somehow Steve found us fresh tracks every day and taught us with patience and understanding finding slopes that challenged us without being beyond our abilities. Each night he shared photos and videos that really helped with the learning process. At the end of the week he created a video montage that’s really funny and I have greatly enjoyed sharing it with my family. A great week, thanks Steve

Had a great time skiing with Terry. After a couple of sessions with Terry my confidence and speed increased. After many years of being nervous I progressed to runs I would never have never dreamt of trying. Enjoyed the sessions, Terry was great at building my confidence and progressing my Skiing without me noticing. Loved the chats on the lifts too! I had a great week and for the first time was able to keep up with my family. Our girls also had great lessons with Kim who was kind, fun and gave them just the right mix of learning, challenge and adventure over the week. Thank you.

We feel completely confident leaving our kids in their care, knowing they'll come back with big smiles and improved skills every time.

Whole proceed to book was easy and Elena was an amazing instructor and guide and showed us a lot of the ski area which we might have missed while keeping us within our skill set and safe.

Progression Ski & Snowboard school is one of the most professional and caring schools in the Alps. I have experienced many ski schools all over Europe and North America and I have found the Progression ski & board teachers some of the best. They are all fully internationally qualified, no trainee instructors, with many years experience amongst them, all were attentive to the learning needs, safety and comfort of the entire group.

I booked a teen group week morning ski school for my 17 year old son in April 2025. I would absolutely recommend Progression ski school. The response to my questions prior to booking was swift. My son had Paolo Testa as his instructor who my son said was super. They covered a lot of ground, frequently going to Tignes. They had a lot of fun. Also we found that the 4 hour lessons gave us parents more time on the piste. At the end of the week my son received some photos - lovely to have physical pictures as a nice memory of the week. It's not easy getting the right kind of group to please a 17 year old, but this was perfect. Thank you Paolo and Progression.

Ken and his team at Progression are a pleasure to deal with. Great communication and a friendly and warm team. Every instructor my daughter has had has been friendly, supportive and encouraging, even in very snowy weather. Wintry conditions could put the little ones off but they make it fun and it makes her excited to return the next time!

This is now the third time my daughter has had lessons with Progression in Val d’isere. The ski instructors are always super friendly and welcoming. My daughter had a private 3 hour lesson on her first day this Easter and her skiing came along hugely. She absolutely loved skiing with Manu and cannot wait to go again. Thank you to Sam for all the help getting her into a lesson for our recent trip. I would recommend Progression to anyone looking to book lessons in the village.

I was very impressed with the local tourist office whose staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I wanted to do an activity in the evening and was suggested the Snow making tour. The tour was very good, the staff explained how they control and produce snow around the resort. Definitely worth doing if you are in town as it is a fun and insightful experience.

Very modern building housing tourist information, the local radio station, and a small shop. Staff were very friendly and helpful. You can book a number of free activities here during your visit.

We had the pleasure of taking two 3-hour ski lessons with Mikey while we were in Tignes, and we can’t recommend him enough! From the very first lesson, he made us feel at ease with his relaxed and fun approach. We had such a laugh the entire time! Mikey’s patient guidance helped build our confidence on the slopes, and by the end of our time, we were back on the mountain feeling much more comfortable and even attempting 360 turns! His enthusiasm and positive energy made all the difference- we couldn’t have asked for a better instructor! If you’re looking to improve your skiing in Tignes, Mikey’s your man!

This is the second time we’ve used Ultimate and they never disappoint. Tom was an absolute superstar with me and my two boys - encouraging, positive and flexible. Our skiing has improved dramatically across three private lessons and we’re all delighted, especially as two of us are quite anxious skiers. Hopefully we’ll be back!

I couldn’t recommend Tom highly enough! I’ve used Tom for both snowboard & ski coaching, some 5 years apart and loved every second of every session! He’s reliable, knowledgable, professional, friendly & experienced. I’ve had ski lessons previously but haven’t touched my skis since 2021 so was more than apprehensive when clicking in this morning. Within 2 hours I was attempting switch & little jumps with some success.

Mike was a brilliant instructor and fun company too. Managed to teach the whole family (3 kids and 2 adults) adapting to our slightly differing needs. We've all improved over the week - 3 x2 hour lessons worked well. Kids weren't keen on ski school again, this was a great solution. Highly recommend

Fantastic Ski Instructor – Highly Recommend! Tom was absolutely brilliant with Amelie and Xander during their ski lessons in Tignes. We’ve never had a ski instructor they’ve loved so much! He made everything so much fun, and their confidence on the slopes improved massively under his guidance. Tom’s teaching style was engaging, encouraging, and perfectly suited to their level. Beyond the lessons, he also gave us great recommendations for things to do in Tignes, which made our trip even better. I couldn’t recommend Tom and his team enough – a fantastic experience all around!

We had a 3 hr lesson with Matt last week and he was absolutely first class. Super experienced, very friendly, clear instruction and great stories - cant believe how much my 13 year daughter improved in such a short space of time. Wouldn't hesitate to book with them again.

My kids (new to skiing) had 3 two hour lessons with Mike during our stay in Tignes. The team were great from my initial enquiry, through to booking and then arrival in Tignes. Mike was fantastic with the kids, who thoroughly enjoyed their lessons, progressed quickly, and thoroughly enjoyed their time with him. During my weeks stay, I was able to join Nico for his tour guiding in Val D’Isere. On a bluebird powder day, the guiding session at Snowboard Val D’isere was so much fun that I ended up taking the sessions for my remainder of the week. Coming from Whistler, Canada, I’m used to riding with experienced snowboarders, but NICO has come up amongst the best. On any given day, he will take you to the best runs on the mountain, ensuring to keep a good pace, and provide mini tips that are bound to improve your snowboarding performance, whatever level you are. He is patient, thorough, and professional. Hope to be back one day and still dreaming of the off pistes which Nico showed us!

We love SnowboardValD’Isere. I’ve been guiding with Nico for years and his knowledge of conditions and of Val D’Isere means he always finds us good powder and take us places I would never have found myself. Iris is a great teacher and my teenage son has come on massively after only a few lessons that have been fun and chilled.

Totally Awesome - I really recommend Iris and Val D'Isere Snowboarding. Iris took group lessons with my 17 year old boys which they thoroughly enjoyed. She also let me join the group, as a much older client - when my partner broke her leg. After 4 days of these great lessons we needed more and booked a private off piste session which was again superb. She balanced her time with a combination of both teaching to the varied skilled levels and making sure we had lots of snowboarding fun from jumps and powder to tricks and serious off piste adventure. I have been skiing and snowboarding in Val for 30 years and am so pleased to find a really good and fun instructor; and nice person too. We will be back.

Val d'Isere is a nice ski resort offering nice views of the surrounding mountains. The resort is clean and tidy offering nice shops and restaurants, coffee places. You can also buy local food. Many hotels and chalettes all depends on your budget. If you are staying in Tignes or Val Claret is really worth for a day trip to Val d'Isere, even if you don't practice winter sports. All busses are free between and inside these resorts. If not sure which bus lines to take just ask the bus drivers, they speak English some better some less but you'll get along. Take the La Daille gondola and funicular up the mountain, nice views.

Amazing place for a skiing break, beautiful slopes for all skill levels and plenty of lifts and access to move around. Nightlife and restaurants are also very good, not the cheapest by any means of course, but the place is amazing

As a first time skier, I thoroughly enjoyed this resort. The nursery slopes are great to start on and there are enough green slopes to not get bored. I would mention that the classification of slopes can be a bit off so always check with someone if you're not sure. Too top it all off, the landscape is fabulous!

Amazing place for skiing coz of the facilities available. Lots of shops and restaurants around with loads of bars as well. There is also a free bus service to take you around the area which is very handy. Mostly the scenes around here are just magnificent. Accommodations are in the heart of the mountain range so you're surrounded by snow clad mountains on all sides

Really enjoyed skiing in Val! Slopes are really nice and constantly looked after! A lot of different cafes, restaurants and bars all around to fit anyone’s taste! This place is 100% geared for a ski holiday!

Nice resort. We had really good snow but I could imagine if it want good it would be difficult to get back to the resort. Its surrounded by red runs and the only blue leading back to the resort is a bit of a challenge at the beginning and should probably be a red. If you're a confident skier you won't have any difficulties.
