La Fosca is one of the most beautiful beaches in the area of Palamós which should be visited outside of peak tourism season. Lovely all year around and staying at a fair price in that Hostal will make you happy as it did to me.
We only had lunch here. We were happy to get a spot without a reservation during a busy lunch. The service was quite hectic, with waiters running around and quite long waiting times without much communication. The view was really great but with 2 hungry kids quite a challenge. In the end they moved fast on the starters and the food for the kids. The pan con tomate and fried squid were fine, and the kids meals were too. The paella was not. It basically only tasted like salt. The house white wine was nice but all in all the price was high for a not so great lunch in terms of the paella and service. The hectique and general lack of friendliness really are a miss, while other things were really fine the main course should not be disappointing like this. I could not tell the staff this as they did not ask once how it was.
We stayed here one night while walking camino de Ronde. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful beach and views. Ate at the restaurant. Some of the best fish I have ever eaten but a bit pricey and over portioned. All in all, can definitely recommend this place.
Had a delicious!!! lunch here, love the attention to sustainability and local produce. Prawns, tomatoes salad, hamburger and fried hake, home-made ice-creams and truffles, everything was super tasty! And even organic coffee to finish 👌
I did not stay at the hostel. I only visited the restaurant to have lunch in October on a sunny day. My dad and I sat outside on the sand and ordered Fideua of Prawns. The service was fast, and polite. Overall amusing. We sat outside on the sand and there were just too many flies swarming around us. They stood on our food, faces and legs and made the experience somewhat uncomfortable. I’d appreciate if the restaurant did something to mitigate since we saw it was annoying for other customers as well
A beautiful hotel right next to the sea. You fall asleep with the sound of the sea. The food is amazing with produce from the farm and all of it is ecological. The staff is friendly and try to answer the questions you have. Will definitly come back for some more tomato salads and sheep’s cheese, fresh fish the paellas and the amazing pan con chocolate
Hostal La Fosca is a hidden pearl at the beautiful bay of La Fosca. Directly at the beach! The restaurant serves amazing food and home made wine of the organic farm of Brugarol. A must go!
Best Seafood restaurant is Palamós. Organic food from their garden. Beautiful view as it is on the beach

Small, rocky beach with surrounding houses tucked away in a quiet cove offering scenic views.

This is probably my favorite little cove in all of costa brava and I’ve been to a lot of them. To reach it you must park in the area for the bigger beach and walk, it’s about 20 minutes from the parking lot or so. You will encounter the bigger beach first, and then you go through the Cami de Ronda to reach it. It’s absolutely beautiful, and quaint. The beach itself is all rocky, and the rocks are harsh so I highly recommend water shoes! There are lots of little coves next to it you can walk to or swim to as well. It’s a sweet and unique place to visit and spend a day in. I recommend bringing your own water and snacks as the closest refreshments are in the larger beach about a 10-12 minute walk away.
A bit inaccessible. That’s the charm of this place. Rocky but pristine waters. Only locals frequent this place - who are very friendly. There are benches on the hill where we had our picnic in the shade. In the next cove, there’s a sandy beach with a restaurant and toilet. It’s a hidden gem!
A hidden gem. Accept it for exactly what it is - a stunning little ancient Catalan fishing village. It is NOT a beach, resort, complex or commercialised spot. So please don’t judge it with reduction of stars as such. It is simple and beautiful. We have walked to it, over 12 years, from both La Fosca Beach (you can park, eat and swim here!) and Playa El Castell beach (you can park, eat and swim here!!). If you are looking for hi-rise Benidorm, then maybe this is not for you!! 🙄
Hidden gem in the cost of Spain. There are some stones on the entrance of the sea and it’s a wild place which is normal
Great little beach. We got there at 10.30 10/9/25 and got a shaded parking space and nice spot on the beach. There's 3 restaurants that we didn't use. Nice toilets and parking with a 20metre walk down a hill to the beach. Showers and Kayak/ SUP hire on beach. Parking was €3 an hour which adds up but safe and on beach entrance. There's a swim/ snorkeling/diving shop as well .
Nice clean sandy beach with lots of space. Lifeguards on duty when we visited. Lots of parking available about 5 minutes walk away at €5 for the day. Cafe on the beach is awful, really really bad. So avoid that. Toilets not great but at least they have them. Sea shelf drops off fairly steeply but not really an issue. Beach was very clean. Would recommend.
A truly unique rocky beach once upon a time was a small fishing village. Wonderful

A very well presented and interesting museum with both audio visual and extensive displays of all local fishing history showing the great hardship the brave men suffered to make a living a must for old and young alike.
Excellent museum. Very interesting, well laid out and suitable for all ages. Information also in English. Gives a great respect for the work of the fishermen and women of the Catalan coast.
Such a nice museum of the local fishing history and culture! Lots of information and cool stuff from the past! The viewing of the local fish auction is big recommendation too!! Very interesting to see and with nice background information!
Why do some places feel like a journey through time? Museu de la Pesca in Palamós is one of those gems! This isn’t just a museum it’s a vivid dive into the soul of Costa Brava’s fishing heritage. You’ll walk through history, from ancient nets to stories of weathered sailors, and even step aboard real fishing boats docked at the port. The building itself? It’s a former warehouse that survived a Spanish Civil War bombing, reborn as a tribute to the sea. A must-visit for anyone craving a deeper connection to Catalonia’s maritime roots
I would definitely recommend to visit this museum if you happen to be around. It's small but there's so much information about the finishing in general and in the area from the past to present lives. It's kids and English-friendly. Plenty of films to watch and the staff is also kind!
Great museum for those who love to discover how fishermen used to work!
Small but well put together and interesting Museum. It's shop has also a lot of cool and local stuff and souvenirs to gift. Helpful and friendly staff.
Beautiful museum. Very accessible friendly with subtitles for the movie and Braille available on request. Exhibit very nicely laid out and very reasonably priced

I tried the gastronomic experience and it was absolutely amazing! The design of the cellar is very impressive and wine tasting was great. All of the products are of great quality, lunch afterwards was a real feast. I would be back in a heartbeat, highly recommended!
Service, wine, food and views were exceptional. This place doesn’t do itself justice- all produce was from the property and you could taste it. If you go anywhere while in the area, this should be top of the list.
Great location and architecture! Nonetheless, the wine itself not a highlight for sommeliers like us. Focus seems to not be on wine and it’s taste, but on location and architecture of winery (still quite impressive!). Great also that the team offers professional tours and wine tastings off season!
Overrated, if you ask me. I had lunch with a tasting, but it was very expensive for what you got, and the wines weren't special enough to warrant those prices. The wine cellar is beautiful, but it's more about the architecture than the actual wine experience. The guide was very good, though, and still provided some insight.
Great wine. We were lucky enough to be the only 2 on the tour with Amira. She was highly knowledgeable on the wine, the architecture, and lots of the processes. We had an amazing time and I can honestly say we will definitely be staying on property next time we are in Spain.
A incredible experience! Superb hospitality, a beautiful location, and amazing wine. We came with 4 friends and originally had booked the Gastronomic Menu for lunch. We ended up staying for 7 hours and had a wonderful time during the tour and wine tasting. The food as well as the service is incredible. Our waiter/tour guide Morad was the best host we could have asked for. His knowledge mixed with his perfect service standards, elevated our experience. Morad ensured at all times that we were catered to our wishes, made us smile, and was essential to our day. The winery itself is beautiful and worth a visit. We will return!
We were literally mesmerized by the architectural idea of the cellar and the whole concept of the place. Went for a tour and wine tasting, which was an extraordinary experience. Learned a lot about the area from the local guides, which was a bonus. Oh, and the wines! You must try it yourself to see the result of the passion the people who work here put into the production.
Brilliant wine tasting experience. Already recommended it to many others. The gastronomic experience involved a whole spread of excellent dishes, wine to drink and try, and a fabulous setting on a terrace in the hills. The winery itself was fascinating. A marvel of architecture with the tour weaving beneath the ground through the structure. The wines included were tasty as were the oils. The price for the whole thing made it very reasonable to the point I couldn’t believe the bill when it came!
