This was worth the visit and bigger than expected. Loved the way it was laid out and how they transitioned from one hanger onto a replica of a flight deck. Good informative videos. If you have a pram or are using a wheelchair it is still accessible though signs outside not so obvious but at the big stairs just head to left of them and press buzzer on gate. Staff very friendly and helpful. Next to the old cafe there is also a playground and tables where could have a small picnic.
What an amazing place, thought it would just be planes on display, which it is, but there's way more to it than that ! There are four halls, the first is mainly Wessex helicopters and these are big !!! There's bullet holes in one from the Falklands conflict, you walk through to Hall 2 with some amazing aircraft including a Sea Vixen, Gruman and you can sit in a Vampire cockpit which we should all do, you are never to old to do that ! These planes are huge, theres also a viewing area of the airfield where you may see planes and helicopters. Walking through to Hall 3, via a helicopter where the floor vibrates and the sound fills the compartment, you exit onto an aircraft carrier... its just ...wow ! The Phantom looks ready to go, the Harrier is locked, loaded and you can see the command bridge. There's a lift which had a video display about life below deck, and so many models of carriers and the supporting vessels. You the walk through the decking of a 70's carrier which is simply brilliant. There's see through video screens which activate as you approach and you get people telling you about their roles, its so good. Finally ..Hall 4 has Concorde, what's not to love about Concorde 002, you can walk through her, theres a Fairy Delta 2.. which was at one stage the fastest aircraft on earth. Its simply a brilliant day out... there's also a lovely cafe ... so get yourself there, no matter how young or old you are !
We visited the Fleet Air Arm Museum earlier in the day, which was a smart move as it was nice and quiet. The staff at the entrance were friendly, welcoming, and gave us great advice on the best route to take. The museum itself is brilliantly laid out, with each hall flowing naturally into the next. You really get the chance to move around the aircraft and see them up close—it feels immersive rather than just a display. The collection is fantastic, giving you a real sense of the Fleet Air Arm’s history. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to make navigation in the aircraft carrier hangar a little clearer—it’s an impressive, well-designed exhibit, but we found ourselves slightly turned around at first. That said, it didn’t affect our enjoyment one bit. Overall, this is a superb museum: fascinating, hands-on, and excellent value for money. I’d absolutely recommend a visit—100%!
Great place to visit. Worth the price. Definitely buy the tickets online as they’re cheaper. There’s lots to walk round. You can walk into helicopters and planes. Staff are super friendly
An incredible collection in an absorbing and appropriate setting. Easy to gt to by road with plenty of parking once you get there. Beware the A303 can be a bit manic in high Summer traffic. Leave a whole day for t=your visit as there is plenty to read and just look at whether adult of children. You don't need a Naval background to get the best out of your visit, but listening to veterans chatting about their experiences certainly adds atmosphere. A good selection of things to buy as mementos and space to enjoy your own picnic to the sound of the nearby airfield HMS Heron, RNAS Yeovilton if you prefer. A visit to the on site cafe lets you chat and decide what to look at again.
We 'popped' in to break a journey back home from holiday. Thinking it would only be an hour or so...three hours later and we had to go to continue our journey. To give justice to the place you need a good 4-5 hours. It's absolutely amazing and I think it's all indoors as well because we didn't get to see it all. Even with our shorter visit it was well worth the entrance fee.
Loved it . Plenty to see and very well displayed. All very interesting and the chance to walk inside concord was great.All.areas were accessable to my knowledge.. See if you can ..Find the photo booth 😉 good fun .( There is a charge but only if you print off) The Food and drinks area was clean and prices were average for this type of place ( Nice pot of tea👍). Plenty of helpful & knowledgeable staff .
Based at RNAS Yeovilton in Somerset, just a short drive from Yeovil, the Fleet Air Arm Museum is a must-visit for aviation enthusiasts and families . Housing Europe’s largest collection of naval aircraft, including Concorde 002, Harriers, and helicopters, the four halls chronicle the Royal Navy’s aerial history from biplanes to modern jets. Knowledgeable and friendly staff as well.

A great theatre with a large stage and staggered seating so everywhere is a good place to sit! We watched Mother Goose and the actors alongside the musicians were brilliant. Very easy to order E-tickets on their website. Something for everyone! Highly recommend.
Good access and free evening parking. Lift available. Plenty of space and seated areas in the bar. Theatre seating well designed as no blind spots or restricted viewing. Very helpful and friendly staff. Air con needs to be more efficient when a full house in sitting.
Our second annual pilgrimage to Yeovil. As always great fun, really entertaining and would recommend to all to experience a show here
Well laid out and extremely clean theatre. We had never visited before and were slightly anxious due to Covid19. Patrons were encouraged to wear masks but this was not heavily pressed. Bar areas were busy but efficient service and clearing on tables enabled us to sit down for a pre presentation drink and ice cream. The air conditioning was good and we were not “overheated” at any point. Toilets were extremely clean. Car park adjacent to the theatre which is free after 1800..took awhile to get out of it any the end of the night as the road forms a bit of a bottle neck!..full disability access throughout. Booking online and holding the ticket on your phone seemed to be the most popular method however I am aware booking by phone and having tickets sent is an option
The Octagon theatre yeovil is a popular venue for entertainment we have been several times and seen some amazing acts and will go back again and again.
A great night very friendly and polite staff thank you for an amazing night watching the classic rock show.x
Great theatre. Loads of great shows for the children and adults alike.
The only theatre that asked people to wear masks (I personally think we still should in theatres) very responsible.. Its a lovely theatre very welcoming

I've had the most chilled afternoon in the most breathtaking surroundings! An extra treat was that on this occasion the house was also open. The flagstone floor in the kitchen of the house & many other features gave it character and charm! The flower boarders were stocked to the brim, with an array of colour & fragrance. The majestic trees and many seats allowed you to sit for a time in the sunshine & the welcoming shade. In the arboretum there was two wooded picnic tables with adjoining seats, in a nice secluded area. A larger seating area at the entrance where the Càfe is, with a selection of Sandwiches, crisps, biscuits and pre packed cake. Hot & cold beverages. Toilets provided. There is not a play area in the Gardens, but there is a very nice one in the village its self, which is a short walk away.
A nice garden to wander around, also has nice vegetable plot. Loverly pond with nice undercover seated area to sit and admire the grounds. While there spotted a Dragon Fly drying its wings for its 1st flight. A wonderful sight to see. There is an Arboretum, but we did not walk around it. Small cafe. I would say on hour in garden is all you need here. August 2025
Garden is absolutely lovely divided into 6 'rooms' each with a different theme and colour scheme. Gardening items for sale here with small takeout cafe and toilets on site. Pity the gorgeous looking house is a holiday let. !
The house started as a small farmhouse in 1630 but was enlarged into its current form in the 18th century. The house was the property of the Napper family for centuries. It was given to the National Trust in 1954. The gardens were set out in the early 20th century by cottage owner Dr SJM Price. The subsequent owners Phyllis Reiss and Captain FE Reiss expanded the original theme by designing a number of garden 'rooms' each with its own style and purpose and separated by walls and yew hedges. From 1979 to 1993 writer and gardener Penelope Hobhouse cared for the garden. Very dog friendly, we took our dog, the only place she wasn't allowed was the kitchen garden (understandable). Two picnic areas, one by the car park and one in the auditorium, toilets and small cafe, small but lovely gardens. The bonus is you have 4 National trust places in this area, so you can do 2 a day.👍👌
We had a lovely visit to this beautiful little garden with its 5 garden rooms walk round took about an hour. It has a good little cafe and sells fresh veg from the garden which is a bonus.
A small but pretty National Trust Garden, with a number of different sections, including a fruit / vegetable garden, a pond and an arboretum. The roses were particularly pretty. We found the garden to be very tranquil but it's clearly seen better days and could do with a little TLC. We walked round all of it in about half an hour ! There's a small cafe, bookshop and also some reasonable plants for sale. Nice for a quick visit if you're in the area and already an NT member.
A beautiful National Trust property. The garden is the star of the show although the house is quite interesting. Easy to combine with a couple of other local properties for a day out!
Great and well kept garden just outside of Yeovil. It’s only small compared to most national trust properties but very beautiful and scenic

Had a fantastic time this afternoon with the lovely Kim and all the gorgeous alpacas. The animals are clearly very well loved and cared for. We did alpaca walking as a team building activity and genuinely couldn't recommend it more highly - 10/10 experience and our team had a wonderful time!! Thank you Kim and all at Cary Alpacas.
Had a visit yesterday with friends & had a fabulous time. Kim gave us a very informative talk 1st on everything Alpaca, she certainly enjoys her job & loves her Alpaca family. After the talk we were off on a trek . My lovely girl was Grace, a lovely 29 year old full of grace & poise. It was a really lovely couple of hours & well worth the journey from Barnstaple. Highly recommend visit , you won’t regret it.
Fantastic Alpaca experience we loved it so well run and informative, great walk about, they all have such different personalities. Would definitely recommend to anyone Kim was a fountain of knowledge and made us all feel at ease.
Lovely afternoon’s entertainment! Kim was great and a real Alpaca expert who cares deeply for her herd!
Such a brilliant experience! Kim was lovely and very clearly LOVES her alpacas and prioritises their welfare. We went as a large group for a hen party activity and everyone absolutely loved it! Kim was such a wonderful character that really made the experience, it was so great to learn about the alpacas and have a lovely walk with them! 🦙 Would 110% recommend as definetly exceeded our expectations and previous alpaca experiences at different places.
We had a fantastic experience at Cary Alpacas! Kym was so knowledgeable and made the whole visit really engaging. Jenny and Maureen were wonderful too, accompanying us on the walk. We loved spending time with Sancerre, Leo, and Eladon – such characters and so much fun to be around. We learnt so much about alpacas, enjoyed every moment, and even managed to stay dry! Just fabulous – highly recommend.
My husband and I spent a fabulous morning visiting Kim and her wonderful alpacas. We had a very informative hr, learning all about these beautiful animals and then had the privilege of them taking us for a walk around their fields. We would highly recommend visiting even during these difficult times. Kim has taken every care in making sure the animals and visitors are safe but have a great time. Clearly Kim loves her animals and it was a pleasure to be apart of her world for the morning. Thankyou Kim and your gang. Jayne and Trevor
A wonderful experience in every way. My friend and I were entranced by the alpacas that we had the pleasure of mingling with and learning a bit about. Then for the second hour we went on a charming walk down footpath lanes beside the venue/farm. I considered several other places offering similar experiences in Somerset, but we were so glad that we chose Kim's. She is a very down to earth person, naturally funny, and calm and chilled about it all. Plus she clearly adores them. Which made for a very relaxed and quite magical two hours. What surprised me was how interactive the alpacas were from the minute you are with them.. they come up for a little nosey around, neck sniff which we learnt is instinctive, feed from your hand, etc. They are timid and curious all at once. Star of the show for me was 'Psycho', who was a real character from the off and was very engaging. Unlike many other 'Alpaca Trails' I looked at Kim does actually do a proper walk/trail, not round and round a fenced paddock. The Alpacas formed a natural line, and off we went down through country paths in a calm and fascinating (and surreal) procession. And very calm was what we felt afterwards too. Superb, thank you so much Kim. We are rebooking :)

Brilliant! The new covid safe system also meant I got 5 minutes peace sat watching whilst the kids questioned everything about climbing! The staff are great with the kids. Explaining. Encouraging. Ensuring safety protocols followed. Always a good day out for the kids. Thank you !
Our 5 year old loved it! Staff very patient with him and the auto belays made it perfect for him to just climb without any fuss.
Great place and staff are wonderful, took my kids here and they had a great time, will be bringing them back. My daughter was nervous and they were so good with her, while my son couldn't get enough if it and they gave him more challenging things to do to push him self. Would recommend to anyone for a good priced fun activity for adults and kids.
This was a fantastic experience for us as a family of 4. Booked the slot a few days before and will certainly go again. We had never been before so having the friendly instructors on hand to ask or get advice from was great. Our 4 year old had access to exactly the same climbs as us and did what she was comfortable doing. This meant we could share the experience all together (no separate area for this age 👍) what fun!!!!! Loved it. Go have a try!!!
The fun climb was absolutely brilliant. I took my 4 year old, the staff were very patient and helpful. The climbs were very varied, most of them were easy enough for my little one to manage. I was also climbing and the instructors managed to make the climbs challenging for me and even give me a few pointers. Brilliant family ran business
My 5 year old absolutely loved it. Male staff talked a little quick and mumbled some of the safety instructions making it hard for even me to understand but everyone got the idea. I can't say enough aboutt how much fun it was. Will be taking my son back very soon. This is the go too place other than soft play centres from now on.
I've been here five times now and I absolutely adore it. There is a variety of walls that range in difficulty, so there is something for everybody. It's beginner friendly as well as offering new challenges for pros. The instructors are incredibly friendly and are more than willing to lend a helping hand. They will also offer you various challenges and different ways to climb certain walls in order to increase the difficulty as the session goes on. Never a dull moment!
My kids (age 8-13) had a great time at a clip and climb session. They were well-supervised by encouraging staff. There was plenty to keep them occupied for the hour's session and they were pretty hot and sticky by the end, having had a good work out. Pricing was reasonable given the equipment and supervision. We will go back and strongly recommend (wear long tracksuit bottoms/leggings and a T that meets, as have to wear harness). I might be tempted to have a go myself!

Thank you to the team at the Somerset Cider Brand Company for arranging a tour for my friend and I at short notice via email. Our guides were very informative and the history, ethos and the wide range of products they make. Also included was a great tasting of a wider range of their products. A fabulous show case of art of cider and liqueur making in a beautiful part of the country. The only disappointment was that I couldn’t buy more as I travelling further in Europe.
Highly recommend a visit. I wanted to take the family, well myself to a cider farm while in Somerset. After searching the web we settled on a visit to here. First thing to say is this place is totally free to visit. On arrival we were told we could have a wander around the whole site and orchard. It was great to see the farm in full action. We got to watch as they were processing the apple ready to make the great brandy. The kids met up one of the farm dogs scruffy, that followed us around the farm and through the orchard. The kids enjoyed the walk amongst the apple tree while I enjoyed looking around the barrels and checking out the 3 copper stills. After a nice walk around, we popped into the shop where we got the chance to tastes there fully range of spirit and the chap giving us the free tasters explained the difference between each brandy we tasted and how they are all made. The whole tasting experience was unexpected but amazing. We ended out visit as expected buying a variety of different drinks they make on side. I would strongly recommend a visit if you want to learn about something more than just cider. And as mentioned above this place is free to visit and sample the products. It feels like a true working Somerset apple farm.
A must-visit! We happened to visit Somerset during the Glastonbury Festival, which explains why a lot of places we visited were very sparsely attended - a good thing, since we had a lot of stuff to ourselves. That was the context for our visit to the Somerset Cider Brandy Co., now our 2nd visit there over the years. I'm not sure whether the company deliberately cultivates a run-down appearance, but it works for me! I interpret that most of their effort goes into making their products, rather than gussying up their buildings. We visited the shop first - I thoroughly recommend tasting any of their cider brandies, and check out their collaboration with Glenfiddich. We found their brandies at a few stores and pubs, but it was worth tasting and buying at the source. We also wandered around the barn that contains their stills - see attached photo with the life-size Joanna Lumley cut-out. A nod to Ab Fab? ("Yeah, cheers, thanks a lot.") Finally, we thank the owner for pointing us to the nearby Burrow Hill tree. Five exhausting minutes of climbing later, we were rewarded with a stunning 360 degree view of Somerset. The brandy place is hard to find, but rewarding once you get there.
Been going here for almost 20 years, wonderful traditional cider, perry and distilled products from apple, pear, quince and more. Your pint of cider to drink on site is poured directly from large wooden casks, they have a dry and a medium, you can also ask for half and half. *This is not filtered mass produced cider, there may be small bits of apple in your cup* you can drink onsite from shop or cider bus on busier days and there's a large canopy for shade as well as a few benches in the orchard.
We couldnt recommend this more. A wonderful journey around (what I regard as) a national treasure. An informal and fascinating insight into the mind of the owner, Julian. Full of facts, opinions, heritage and history, with a healthy dose of humour (oh, and all varieties of Somerset Cider Brandy). I am slightly bias as this is almost exclusively my drink of choice but don't be fooled, i don't write reviews willy nilly. Thank you to all for the tour. All the best
Lovely setting in a village near Yeovil. We visited on a Saturday when there is only one tour during the day so unfortunately we missed it. We sat outside in the orchard listening to music playing. Very relaxing on a very hot day. There's a small shop to purchase cider and other products. Very pleasant afternoon.
Proper Somerset Cider, and very good Cider Brandy too! Excellent little shop open to the public, and you can also find their Burrow Hill Cider, in various quality outlets. They are also famed for their Mulled 'Hot n Spicy' Cider at quite a few festivals. Look out for the Somerset Cider Bus at the Glastonbury Festival!
A gem of the South-West, great cider on an authentic farm. Very welcoming and good selection at reasonable prices.

Had a great day at HP yestetday. Team played well even though there are several players out injured or suspended or now called back from their loans. Great result and the team did very well. Could have gad more goals.
Loads of free parking around the ground. Away seating is OK as we're the loos. There is a small bar/trailer outside the ground(once you have passed security) and some loos. Once you are in the ground there is a choice of the normal football food fayre - mostly packaged. The veggie curry pasties are v tasty.
Fantastic Stadium, great atmosphere. All the staff are pleasant and there is a brilliant selection of food in the fan zone if you’re with the home team.
Great to have a good old fashioned stadium where you can stand on a terrace. The atmosphere is always better when fans stand. The beer and burger stalls are very good. But the price of burgers seems to have shot up since last year. £7 for a burger compared to the vans around Molineux in Wolverhampton start at £4.50.
A nice football ground with excellent facilities including an away supporters car park that cost £3. Staff are friendly and helpful. The ground is well sign posted from all directions.
The home off Yeovil Town since 1990 a tidy stadium with a capacity 9, 565 Yeovil is probaby best remembered for some classic giant killing deeds in the Fa cup and the famous slope off the pitch. The ground is quite tidy one in a nice setting with lots off trees visible behind the stands overall i found it to be a nice day out the ground is situated on the very outskirts of yeovil and is signposted from the A303
Typical flat pack stadium with standing terraces behind both goals and the away end bring open. I thought the stewards were excellent and the club were friendly and accommodating. Parking available within the stadium grounds and plenty available in the surrounding areas.
Please be careful parking in the muddy field which is actually a paying car park - very minimal signage to say paid parking is required and there are no paying meters in the actual car park so it really isn’t clear made clear you need to pay. Happy to remove this review if they wish to refund my £60 parking fine.

The venue has ample parking space and is mostly a level walk to the entrance. There are reasonable catering options available and plenty of seating for pre show drinks and food options. The seating in the actual theatre is adequate but a little on the firm side if the show is reasonably long. Leg room is sufficient if not generous. On my numerous visits to this theatre I have always found that the staff are friendly, courteous and helpful.
Nice theatre but parking is horrendous, even though it's a huge car park, we have struggled to get parked on all 3 occasions. One time having to resort to on street parking which they advise not to do, because it's slap bang in the middle (or feels l like it) in a residential area. Suggest you get there at least 45 minutes before start of performance.
What a fantastic evening watching Sleeping Beauty by YAPS at Westlands Ballroom! The performance was full of energy, laughter, and heart. Princess Aurora, her cousin Avarice, and Prince Arthur had such great chemistry on stage—it was easy to believe they’d been lifelong friends. The story was brought to life beautifully with plenty of humor and a touch of magic, especially thanks to Nanny Nightnurse, Muddles, the Archbishop, and the three fairy godmothers who kept the audience entertained throughout. Carabosse made a brilliant villain—just the right amount of wickedness and drama! The entire cast did an amazing job of taking us on a journey from Aurora’s childhood to adulthood, with plenty of twists, turns, and laughs along the way. The whole production was a joy to watch, and it was clear how much hard work and passion had gone into it. A huge well done to everyone involved—we had such a brilliant time. Highly recommend catching a YAPS show if you get the chance!
I went here for a conference and the room we were in was a bit small. I can't comment on the main auditorium, but there was lots on and some interesting events. The large bar/restaurant area is very open and it is easy midweek to get a table. Whilst visiting, there were other local events going on, including dance/gymnastics groups for children. A real community hub. It seems like a special place.
Love it. My 7 year old daughter made a performance there, and that boosted her interest and confidence in art and theatre so much. Loved recently seeing David Suchet there during the Yeovil Literary Festival. Such venues add soul to the town and helps young ones to dream big. Occasionally, it's worth going there and work from there. They have little cafe bar.
Went to see Joanne McNally with Wifey, had a great night, venue's very well organised & perfect for a big comedy night out or a show. Bar prices quite reasonable for a big venue too.
It's a versatile entertainment centre, which is now being used as a substitute for the local theatre which is under repair. The comedy circuit is now using it in the national tour locations. It can get a little hot at the back, but there doesn't seem to be any unobstructed views.
Really lovely venue. Good seating, acoustics, somewhere to buy a coffee(but we didn't). My only gripe is that our event was in room 3 and there was no signposting for it. So took us a while to find it with several events happening.

This is a great place to visit throughout the year. Great walks, close to town, cafe in the grounds and a kids playground area. The walks and views here are stunning. Lots of wildlife and sometimes there are events for the kids here
Beautiful country park with different trails surrounding the springs. great for walking dogs or just relaxing in. A Play park for children is nearby to keep young ones entertained.
Beautiful walks, dog friendly, although there is a path dedicated to being dog free. Plenty of parking which is free on Sundays. A very good play park for children. Amazing photo opportunities.
A lovely area for all. Play area for kids, fenced area for a wild life walk, paved foot paths for less abled and a woodland walk with waterfalls for the slightly more adventurous. Just watch out for the odd inconsiderate cyclists where speed means everything to them.
The Area is a must-visit for anyone seeking a peaceful escape into nature. Its stunning beauty, diverse ecosystem, and welcoming atmosphere make it a perfect destination for relaxation, exploration, and rejuvenation. Whether you’re an avid nature lover or simply looking for a serene getaway, this lush oasis will not disappoint.
Very nice walks, little waterfalls and added walks over a large estate adjacent.
Love the walks along the valley, lots of shade and places for dogs to swim. Smaller car park is free and cafe is nice too. Decent play area for kids
I visited here for a short walk 40 minutes and it was such a refreshing break with fresh air, vibrant greenery, and a well-maintained, clean path, clear maps provided, making it a very relaxing experience.

I recently purchased a Razortip from Yandles and some nibs to go with it. Really great service via email answering any questions and confirming shipping when I enquired. They really are the place for all things Pyrography and so much more. I can't recommend them enough. This review is 💯 not sponsored, I've purchased my kit, learning to use it this week and will definitely be back for some ball tips as I think I left them off my order. 5 stars for service and quality ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Wonderful place to visit. Came home with loads of fab wool from the craft supplies shop. Great advice and help from Tony in the wood shop. Interesting browse around the crafts for sale shop, followed by a very tasty lunch from the lovely ladies in the cafe. The frittata is the best!
Whilst up visiting family and a trip to Bowling I googled looking for an Arts and Crafts shop, this shop most definitely did not disapoint! Everything you could dream of, paints, pens, crafts sets, wool and fabric galore 🥰 I will most definitely be visiting again! Lovely staff and brilliant prices.
Best quiche I've ever tasted. Bacon, leek and red Leicester cheese. The egg in the quiche was so light and creamy, almost like a savoury custard, and the pastry, which was short crust, I think was made in the old way with lard, but don't quote me. Absolutely delicious. This was a hot meal with a salad with seasonal dressing, also delicious 😋.
We went for breakfast here on Sunday morning during our holiday and it was nice and had limited options but it was good.
Had a lovely lunch. The man behind the counter was very helpful and welcoming. We had ham egg and chips and Red Leicester, tomato and onion quiche which had lovely crisp pastry. Must go back.
Lovely little cafe, small menu of fresh food. I am a bit of a coffee snob and the latte I had was one of the nicest in a long time. And the pistachio and white chocolate cake 🤤 thank you!

Great place for family fun. It was our 1st visit and we were pleasantly surprised. Clean, tidy and lots to do.
We really enjoyed that playground. My kids (4 yo and 1.2 yo) didn’t want to leave. There are plenty of things to do: slides, ropes, swings, sand, zip line! There is also a cafe and public toilets nearby (we didn’t use them though).
The playground has a lot of good places to play at plus it's kids friendly.Theres also an arena for sporting activities. The toilets are pretty smelly and is not taken care of.But it's a nice place to picnic and play at woth your friends family and pets.
Great park next to the rec cafe, lots to play on and a mini golf course
That's a great park! There is plenty of room for dogs! It's an ideal place for kids with thematic parks!
Brilliant Facilities and a nice cafe. Although very expensive for food and drinks
Dropped into the cafe for a coffee as we were walking through the rec. Staff were great. They were able to make a cappuccino with oat milk, really nice. We chose to sit outside in the sun, there was some litter and it needed a sweep! Quite a few people around; dog walking, enjoying the green space, etc. Grounds staff were busy, it's looking good. Nice to see that the trees, planted a few years ago, are thriving. Hopefully they will improve the water control for the football pitches.
Lovely little park, great fun for kids, little mini golf, sports sometimes going on, nice field, parking can be a pain.

Having visited Yeovil Railway centre many times I can honestly say it’s well worth it. The centre puts on many events over the year including Halloween and Christmas special events. The Railway Centre also host many mainline steam locomotives where they turn and service the loco all of which can be viewed for a small donation. It must not be forgotten that the whole things is run by volunteers.
The Yeovil Railway Centre, a heritage railway located at Yeovil Junction Station that preserves and operates historic steam and diesel locomotives, including public rides and turntable demonstrations on special event days. So nice to witness steam engines operating even now!!
We came to do steam rides and meet paw patrol. Staff fantastic and very knowledgeable and really friendly!. Nothings to much trouble smiley and friendly. everything was very close so no need to walk for ages. Clean and tidy. Engines look beautiful. Shop a real treat for the real enthusiast. Model train display was brilliant Lovely time Just update we have been to the santa special and easter to meet Peter rabbit any event they hold here we have the best time!
Cheap day out. Steam train rides on a short track, turntable, model railway and shop on the platform, cafe, miniature railway rides, workshop and museum, free parking. Great.
We've visited three times, all in December, for the Santa Special 🎅 Such a sweet Santa train experience. Lovely, friendly ladies and gentlemen run these events. It's ever so quaint, their displays and festive boards and signs hold a nostalgic feeling. There's a room with the model railway that's really great for young and old. The main room after the train ride house's a play/dance area, festive displays, lights, music, raffle, refreshment area and, of course, Santa's grotto! Our two are nearly 8 and 10, they loved it all including the falling snow and snowballs! We won a prize in the raffle after our cuppa and mince pie this year too!🏆
All the volunteers do an amazing job. They were very friendly and knowledgeable and we will definitely return. Please support them by visiting. We had a great day out.
Although fairly local I had never been until today. Steam train was running today as well as turntable. Workshop, museum and model rail also open. Volunteer run all keen to share their knowledge.
Fantastic visit. Andy was brilliant, knowledgeable and did a great job telling us about the engines etc. Great day out.

Lovely little walk. All the owner asks is that you leave a small donation in the box at his door (although I am sure some lads on scooters march up to steal them). Thank you for letting the decent public walk accross your beautiful gardens.

What a wonderful small gem. There are four small elements to this NT property, the main hall, a small hall from around the 1300 that is quite plain but beautiful. The small garden outside where you can see the outside of the building and work out some of the changes, along with a covered well. A kitchen room that is dark and damp and then the upstairs Solar room that has the remaining parts of a 1260 ISH wall painting, the icing on the visit. You must wait for the guide to show you to the solar room. Please note there is no toilets, no cafe and you can only see parts of the buildings hence the £4 entrance fee for non members.
The Treasurer's House is a medieval building with origins dating back to the early 13th century, making it one of the oldest inhabited houses in Somerset. It was initially built as a parsonage for All Saint's Church and later acquired by the Treasurer of Wells Cathedral, giving it its name. The house features a Solar Block (circa 1250), a Great Hall (1293), and a 15th-century kitchen, showcasing a remarkable range of early medieval architecture. You must book the tour in advance through the National Trust, easy to do we booked for it on the day. The guide is great and gives you loads of information.
You can only visit this place by guided tour. We only did part of the tour as we got called away. The tour guide had a wealth of knowledge and explained it so well. The place was full of history and was very well maintained. There is plenty of parking around the local streets. No toilet here.
Very interesting history, local guide was great. Very informative and enthusiastic. Certainly worth a visit. Check opening hours first though.
Such a small house with a massive history. Our guide was unimaginably knowledgeable about place. So much history in each room. Well worth a visit. If you use Google maps to get there, don't just type in your destination and hit go. It took me down a tiny lane and told me my destination was on the left. A big farm field! The house itself was half a mile away on the main road. Touch the pin on the map before you select start.
Lovely little place. Two very kind and knowledgeable volunteers showed is around.
I small place to visit but nonetheless interesting. I suggest you combine it with a visit to the house at Mucheney and the priory at stoke-sub-Hamdon all of which are interesting in there own rights but are quick to get around. They're all close so doable.
A very interesting place to visit. A fantastic explanation of the building's history.
