ASK Italian is a contemporary Italian restaurant chain that offers an array of delectable options including long, stone-baked pizzas, classic pastas, and enticing entrees. The establishment draws inspiration from Italy to create authentic cuisine that captures the essence of the country. The menu reflects both modern and traditional Italian cooking, catering to diverse tastes. Customers can expect a culinary experience filled with gusto and authenticity at ASK Italian.
Great Service, atmosphere and Excellent food. I have been in here a couple of times and can highly recommend the Calzone’s. Only thing I would say is the Calzone’s should come with chips as it isn’t really enough of its own. Always better to book as the weekends are normally busy.
Paul B — Google review
The atmosphere is inviting, featuring cozy, rustic decor that creates a warm, welcoming ambiance. Service was generally attentive and friendly, with the staff eager to offer recommendations and ensure a pleasant meal. The menu boasts a variety of dishes, and the highlight was undoubtedly the grilled salmon, cooked to perfection with a delicious crispy skin and a flavorful lemon-herb butter sauce. However, the accompanying roasted vegetables were slightly overcooked, losing some of their texture and flavor. A separate dish, the pasta primavera, was also well-prepared, with fresh, vibrant vegetables, although the sauce was a bit bland. Overall, the ASK Italian is a solid choice for a satisfying meal. While some dishes could be improved, the quality of the ingredients, the welcoming atmosphere, and the attentive service make it a place worth visiting. It's a good option for a date night or a casual dinner with friends, offering a pleasant experience with some room for minor adjustments

Banging food, banging ambience, and very helpful staff. We loved the vegan lentil fettuccini so much that we had another portion one after another. The vegan dough balls were super comforting and tasty too. Highly recommend it if you're nearby (we came from our bnb about 10km away). Parking wasn't too hard to find.
Divjot S — Google review
Superb pizza. Kids were really well looked after by Patricia and Bianca. Our dietary needs were really well looked after and we will DEFINITELY come back!
Tom B — Google review
Lovely experience all around! The food is honestly amazingly. I LOVE their new pesto dough balls (coming from someone who avoids pesto- just as an indicator). This is my second time here and I’ll definitely be back!

We came for Valentines set menu . I started with whitebait calamari with tartare sauce and salad. Delicious. My partner had mozerella tomato salad and he enjoyed it very much. Then for our mains I had sea bass with white wine sauce , olives and capers with a side salad. My partner had chicken a sauce with mushrooms and Tuscany potatoes, I had a mouthful and the flavour was divine . Then we finished with profiteroles covered with chocolate mouse and white chocolate sauce and homemade tiramisu. The music the atmosphere decor, the lovely staff made it a very special experience for us . We will be coming back more often. Would highly recommend if you want to try something new . Thanks Tamburino :)

I actually cant recommend this place enough. It is utterly perfect in every way. The staff, the food, the atmosphere, the owner is incredibly friendly and the staff always polite, the food hot and delicious, the beer cold and the specials are 😍 A literal 7/5 or 12/10. I look forward to coming every. single. time!

Fabulous impromptu Saturday evening supper here with family. The service was top drawer, and the food was just on-point for everybody. Great couple of hours, really good atmosphere and vibe within the restaurant, and overall, we truly enjoyed our Tamburino experience. To be revisited for certain!

Great for gluten and dairy free! Tasted amazing. But needs more servers

Had an amazing meal here last night – it honestly felt like being in Italy for the evening. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with that lovely mix of chatter, birthday celebrations, and a real buzz in the air. The food was excellent – properly authentic Italian dishes with loads of flavour and very generous portions. You can tell everything is made with quality fresh ingredients. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the UK in a long time. Great food, great vibe, great service. Can’t wait to go back!

Steak house
Texas Rocks is a popular restaurant known for its American-style dishes like ribs, burgers, and steaks served on hot rocks. The open kitchen concept allows customers to interact with the Head Chef and select their perfect steak. The menu also features classic Texas BBQ favorites such as mac n cheese, Lone Star burgers, and a full rack of ribs. Located in Yeovil, Somerset, this spot is a go-to destination for those craving an American meat feast.
Visited for an early anniversary meal. The staff were friendly and helpful. At first thought meals were expensive but once they came out they were actually reasonable as they are big. Steak was cooked well but the ones I had were a bit fatty but other than that the meal was delicious. The other dish was huge and delicious. Would recommend giving this place a try and we will definitely be returning to try a different dish.

Texas Rock is a great steak restaurant if you’re in or around Yeovil. In the few times I’ve been there the food has never let them down, even the sides have been great! The staff are always friendly, even when we asked to move due to being sat under a speaker, they found us a new table straight away and a server came straight over. The atmosphere is fun and has its charms due to the American theme! It’s just enough that’s it cheesy but not tacky! It would be worth booking a table as it’s normally quite busy here, always good sign
Liam M — Google review
Lovely place the staff were very polite and helpful, the food was great alot of choices and the portions sizes are massive,we were there for a double birthday dinner and both received cow boy hats and a cake at the end of the meal, brilliant we will definitely be going back again 😀

Fantastic food service and setting! We wanted to come here for ages and it was better than we thought?!! Best Nacho's I've ever had and the Burger's were in incredible! Staff were prompt, friendly and helpful and the prices were very good value. A++
Alex L — Google review
Our fav steak restaurant in town. Apart from the obvious delicious steaks, they have very good kid menu (see pic) not just those babyish usuals. Kid grilled chicken breast was so flavorful and moist. The chef also adjusted the salad to my own preference. Customer service is great and food quality matches its price. Highly recommended!
Thu N — Google review
The evening was full of mistaken orders. Orders that had been forgotten and to cap it all..... Being asked to vacate our table 25 minutes after having placed our dessert order and not having received any of them. The food is good for large portions, however this is reflected in the price you pay. The quality of the food was quite variable, even within the same dish. Would not want to go back after this experience. I do have to say that I have been here previously and enjoyed the meal, although I have always found it slightly overpriced for the night out.

Went here for a recent birthday. They made a fuss of my boyfriend. Hat, birthday sign and cake with sparkler. Food was lovely. Service great andcreally good decor and atmosphere.

Cow & Apple is a charming restaurant located in the lively town center of Yeovil. It's a great spot for lunch with an extensive menu offering something for everyone, including their own apple and ginger cider that's sweet and refreshing. While known for their juicy and creative burgers, there are also plenty of meat-free options available. The service is prompt and faultless, with prices lower than expected for such quality. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to accommodate any request.
Great selection for veggies and vegans. I had the veggie hot dog and fries which was huge and the fries were so tasty! Lots of other burgers to choose from too and the Nachos starters were yummy. We had the cider flight which was good value for money and a great selection to choose from. Milkshakes looked incredible but was too stuffed to try one. Staff were lovely. Only slight negative was that no one came over and cleaned the table for us, which was proper sticky from the last customers, but all in all, a great little place in central Yeovil.

Had a lovely meal at Cow and Apple. Burgers options are extensive. The staff are very knowledgable regarding ciders, we had a selection of ciders to share which were chosen by staff based on our preferences. Food quality is great and locally sourced! Accommodating with amendments to orders and a variety or sides to choose from. The atmosphere was good. Staff all friendly and welcoming. Service was quick without feeling rushed. A lovely evening! Thank you

Had a lovely experience the other evening when myself and my partner went for a meal at The Cow and Apple. We were greeted and served by a lovely waitress called Lottie, she answered any questions we asked and was constantly smiling. We had a great evening.

Nestled in a charming lane on the outskirts of Yeovil, The Trough is a delightful family-friendly pub that offers an inviting atmosphere and stunning views of the picturesque Somerset countryside. Known for its delicious pub grub, this establishment prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients from their own farm, which has been in the family for seven generations. Guests can indulge in hearty meals like the Trough Full English breakfast or savor a Longhorn Steak Sarni.
Excellent breakfast here. Not the cheapest but worth it. First time for me not the last. Staff excellent and very friendly Once again another fantastic visit and fabulous meal today. I had the Trough breakfast so very tasty. Well done.

Lovely ambience. Food was well portioned. Food was average. Wings could be seasoned better. The fish batter was crispy. Pulled pork sandwich was good.
Tiffany N — Google review
Visited for Breakfast not a bad choice of food on the menu however it was quite expensive. Our breakfast was almost £50 for the two of us, we only had one coffee one orange juice and a fizzy drink and the rest was food. There is argument that you’re paying for quality but you really aren’t. The English breakfast is definitely not worth over £16. The staff were very polite and we had a warm welcome.
Paul B — Google review
The Trough is a beautiful looking restaurant with unmatched views all around! Unfortunately the food didn’t match up to the reputation for my family and I. We all ordered the aged beef with Sunday trimmings. The veg was cooked lovely but the meat came out extremely raw, even though we weren’t asked how we wanted it cooked, and one member of my family’s food was so under cooked the staff even took it off the bill (after previously saying it couldn’t be done. Maybe they noticed how under cooked it really was?). Dessert on the other hand was amazing and definitely worth mentioning. I would 100% recommended trying them as they all looked great and tasted even better. As for service, we weren’t offered any water for the table, even though everyone else had a bottle on the tables around us. When we were brought dessert, which as I mentioned was great, we weren’t given any spoons to eat it with. That being said all the staff were friendly and welcoming and were working hard. Overall I just expected more. Everything from the restaurant’s reputation, to how it looked just didn’t match up to the food we had. I’ve had better for less, and I think that’s a real shame.
Liam M — Google review
We recently held my mum’s wake at The Trough, and I can’t thank the team enough for the care and compassion they showed. Everything was beautifully organised — the food, the setting, and the warm atmosphere made a very difficult day feel comforting and special. A special thank you to Lyndsay, who went above and beyond to know more about my mum — specifically her favourite songs and flowers — and wove those details into the day so thoughtfully. It meant so much to our family and made the celebration of her life truly personal and heartfelt. I would recommend The Trough, without hesitation — not just for their wonderful food & beautiful venue, but for the kindness, passion and humanity they bring to everything they do. Thank you!
Vikki L — Google review
Visited for drinks and desserts mid dog walk. Dogs welcome outside. Desserts and coffee were tasty. Very friendly and polite staff. Lovely decor and nice aesthetics to the place. Inside had comfy seating, clean toilets and a little shop where we bought a couple of mugs. Plenty of free parking for drivers.
A L — Google review
My “go to” place. The services are great, and staff very friendly. There’s plenty of space inside and outside - lots of fresh air too, the environment is lovely. They provide blankets if you want to sit outside.
TJ M — Google review
Beautiful restaurant with an idyllic view and tranquil atmosphere. Very different from what you normally find around Yeovil. The decor is warm and elegant, seats comfy and the whole setting is airy and light. Huge windows overlook an open field, and seating outside is possible too. The staff was attentive and thoughtful, they also asked how I liked my fried eggs, which is unfortunately so rare in the area. The food was expertly prepared and presented, the hollandaise sauce the best I tried in a long time. Eggs just as we asked. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast at the Trough and highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for great quality, fantastic ambiance and something more special than what you'd normally find around Yeovil. A hidden gem.

Absolutely delicious Mexican food. Plenty of vegan items to choose from on the menu as well as having things like cheese on the side of dishes (if your partner is vegetarian and wants to share). Staff were lovely, and food was good value for money. We will definitely be going back!

I’m Mexican and I approve the food in here! The burrito comes with rice, that I’m not used too, but omg the tacos come with blue corn tortilla! They have a good selection and the pico de gallo with the chimichanga it’s great!
Armando L — Google review
The positives, the cocktails were good and the staff welcoming and helpful. But I was left deeply disappointed by the food which was overpriced, overcooked and almost everything seemed to be soaked in oil. The only positive regarding food was the balsamic vinegar served with the bread which was gorgeous. Needless to say I won't be going back.
Peter C — Google review
Warm welcome, nice atmosphere, warm cosy feel. Dispite being relatively quiet for a Friday, we were put on a table in the corner, with one bench Seat and one stool, not the most comfortable table to be eating at. Watermelon daiquiri was very nice, good quality but not even enough to fill a coupe glass and nearly £10. Food was tasty, cheesy beef rolls were nice, but little greasy. Pork teriyaki burgers were tasty, salmon katsu burgers were lovely but little dry. Over all nice place, but have been to far better places for the money and overall experience

Totally recommend this cocktail and tapas bar, been going there for many years. Food and cocktails are inventive, fun and tasty. Events are great and service is really good!

The menu offers a variety of options, but the mouthwatering chicken dishes are the highlight. Customers appreciate the quick and efficient service, as well as the inviting decor that adds to the overall dining experience. Want to thank the team at Nando’s especially Arthur for his amazing service I came three consecutive days as the last customer as I was staying just on top in the hotel and they have given me amazing service all three days and food came out perfect everyday thank you chef.
Ivan O — Google review
As a visiting American finally going for a 'cheeky Nandos' wasn't what I thought it would be. I expected more fast food, take away sort of thing. I wasn't unpleased with the experience though. I found Nandos to be a middle ground between nice & casual, quick service/sit down style. Pros - Nice atmosphere, particular location had cheerful helpful staff Many flavor options, juicy chicken. Preferred it on the burger end. Free soda refills (typical murican I know) Variety on menu between grab bites or more restaurant dishes Cons - Price, perhaps because I expected a cheap-eatery A couple of the foods I had (halloumi mainly) were overpowered with a charred flavor, it was a little off putting.
Heather L — Google review
Ordered through deliveroo Chips where clearly re-heated and avocado was black and spoiled..don't expect the same standard of food when using delivery apps!

Had lunch here today. Had half chicken and chips. Staff are always nice and polite. Service is fast and I ordered through the app. Food was very good. I like that Nando's offers free refill drinks as I tend to drink lots. Had a good overall experience and will be coming back!

We came to Nando's in Yeovil for children's birthday party which in all fairness the staff where extremely patient considering the noise and the mess made which we did our best to clear up. The food was good and the staff helped with the cake etc which we brought from elsewhere. One small but important detail for the kitchen- the pass was a mess. Keep it clean at all times!

Rang up spoke to Lee the manager who told me to come down and he will have it ready for us and apologised . The Bell Inn, a pub to visit. Staff were friendly and professional, the pub was clean and staff were quick to clear up after leaving guests. The food was excellent and made even better with the Friday special 'BOGOF'. All left with very full bellies and not an empty wallet! The place was tastefully decorated for the festive season and it was really nice to see the local community Xmas present donation point filling up nicely. We were mightily impressed with the condiments dresser, setting all food places could adopt. The outside seating and play areas were good and clean and the carpark was very well lit. The only low point was the bowling lane, very tired and turned into a junk room. Overall, highly recommend and will visit again if in the area.

Lovely branch of Greene King. Second time visiting whilst working away and the food has been spot on both times. Went to Coopers Mill for my birthday Sunday roast dinner, and received a lovely surprise. Very kind, thoughtful, and generous of the team, thank you! The roast dinner was absolutely fantastic value for money and delicious, fresh, and plentiful. All the staff were friendly, patient, and genuinely happy to help. I'll be back again soon. Thank you Darral and team.

We came here for lunch as we saw they had a couple of veggie options on the menu. I ordered the mushroom pie with chips which was quite nice. Decent size too and the chips were good. My husband had the veggie burger which he enjoyed, again the chips were nice. We ordered the veggie sausages with peas and beans for our baby. The sausages were rock hard and very dry (literally struggled to even cut them). We asked for a replacement which was quite straightforward and the staff were very kind about it and polite. They actually replaced his whole meal which was kind. Atmosphere was fine, toilets were okay. The table was a bit wobbly an annoying and when I wiped it for my son to eat at the wipe was very dirty so that was a bit gross but otherwise kind of what you expected at a family pub. One thing which was alarming was how hot the plates were when served. Fine for adults but the waiter put a piping hot plate down in front of a 1 year old baby. I had to quickly move it away. It did have a good kids menu and was dog friendly.

I use this place while I'm away from home. The cask ales are always good and clearly looked after. Although it's part of a chain, they clearly make an effort the mixed grill is good.

Excellent bar service, food very good Sunday Roast (Turkey & Beef) more than we could eat served hot and with a good selection of vegetables, amazingly well priced and excellent value for money. The location is ideal, good parking facilities very spacious bar area clean and well equipped. An extensive array of drinks and other food on menu, they even have a menu for dogs as is a dog friendly venue. Would certainly recommend the venue.

Coopers is one of our locals and although it's mainly geared up to cater for the sports fans, anyone can go and enjoy a few drinks and food. As a greene king pub, the food has never been short ot tasty and its really good value for money. Perfect stopping point for anyone taking a stoll through the Yeovil country park and ninesprings. Worth noting that its also ideal if you're prefers to walk level ground because.you can walk from the Yeovil pen mill station, all the way though to coopers and further on a flat, level walking route.

Such a great atmosphere! The staff are so lovely and welcoming. Always quick service, the menu is stacked and the drinks are great price. Fast table service as well which is so rare these days. Will be making this my regular

Nice enough food and good service. Decent prices too. Note however that this is the sort of place that thinks Saturday lunchtime, peak family dining time, is the perfect time to have live music. A live band, of only just above karaoke quality, at a volume where despite being at the other end of the building I couldn't hear the person across the table from me. They didn't think to mention any of this when I booked the table. I really wouldn't have bothered if they had. Been a few times before, not sure I'll be back in a hurry.

I have just had the most wonderful lunch with a wonderful friend. I have eaten here not often, but each time it's a real treat!! The service & food is exceptional The last meal I had here was with a different but equally wonderful Friend & I left my bag, containing my umbrella, hat & gloves with in a short time I received a phone call from Lincoln , lucky enough we were still in town & I could return to collect within a short time.

This is a review of the hotel. I stayed for one night, friendly and helpful staff. The car park/parking is hidden, turn into the driveway across from the Globe Crown, drive to the back, turn right into a gravel parking area, and there is a sign for the Green Room. You need to call them to open the door. The hotel is listed as 4 star but more like a 1-2 star hotel. Room was small, uncomfortable bed, clean, nice bathroom, full self service coffee. Breakfast is included with the room and was excellent full English breakfast, juice and coffee. My price was 80 pounds.

Delicious food and lovely staff. We were here for a colleague’s farewell lunch and I found there was no vegetarian option on the Sunday Roast but we were well taken care of and we really had a good time. Desserts were fab! Special thanks to Tracey for helping out with the parking. We shall visit again soon guys!

PLEASE READ: Strangely surprising. Clean room. Very well presented. Towel design was nice touch. Price was ridiculously low for the room!... Very quiet and perfect location in a town! Lincoln owns this I think and he is great! Called me and left a message on Booking.com just to make sure I was ok with everything! A real Gem find. Oh and has a fridge! Genius!!! Thanks Green room! 👍🏻 Would love to return with family.

A cosy, welcoming restaurant that always serves great food with fantastic service. Most recently we had the Christmas dinner which came out piping hot, in very generous protons, and tasted amazing. Couldn't fault a single thing about the entire meal.

I can’t comment on the Hotel as we only stopped for food but wow! Four very happy customers. We had a selection of food and puddings from their lunch menu and enjoyed everything about their food. From the presentation and the fast, friendly service to the quality and taste of the food. Excellent value for money and we are already planning on returning to take advantage of your extensive menu. Thank you.

Wow what a fantastic hotel/pub. Stayed for 2 nights as a break in a journey to Cornwall. Room very comfortable, spotless and spacious. Beds very comfortable. Fan provided and even a hot water bottle for cooler nights. Tea and coffee topped up each day. Breakfast had plenty of choice. We had the full Somerset brekkie, beautiful food. Ate evening meal both nights. Excellent carvery. My only comment would be how huge the portions were and felt guilty for not clearing my plate. Staff so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Excellent location…around the corner from the train station. Food was delicious. Sam, who was our waitress, was just lovely. Great banter (she didn’t know who Duran Duran was until I sang one of their songs!) Great value for money…the 4 of us had a sandwich (which came with delicious chunky chips.) Would highly recommended this place of your passing through that way.

Went for carvery today and it was not good at all. I chose turkey but it was tough and hard to cut. Maybe because blunt knives were to blame! Potatoes too hard cdnt cut them . No green veg only peas. Very disappointing meal. Cauliflower cheese full of water as it had come frozen not nice. Will not go there again for a carvery. Never worth £18.00. Disgusting. Left most of it. They should have given a refund!

The Warmest Welcome in the West Country! 😁 This hotel offers such a wonderful welcome! All the staff are so friendly and considerate The customer service is exceptional and delivered with genuine warmth. We stay regularly with our dog and it is by far the best option in the area. Lovely little gem. My wife and I stayed in one of the superior rooms, which was bigger than my old flat!! Slightly dated, but it's a listed building, so they can only work with what they have. Food, service and atmosphere were excellent. The team are a credit to yourselves and the company. Breakfast was hot, with a slight delay on the Sunday, but it was communicated so bearable. 5 minutes walk to the town centre, and nine springs park 5 mins the other way. Would definitely look to book again while staying in the area. Well done.

Had a really lovely stay at the Manor in Yeovil. The room was well equipped and cleaned thoroughly every day. I slept really well and it was very quiet. Every member of staff I met were kind, approachable, and attentive. I was traveling alone for work, and honestly could not have been made to feel more welcome. The food was lovely classic pub food, and the breakfasts were delicious- the coffee and fresh fruit were excellent. Thank you! I would love to visit again and i will let my employer know how positive my stay has been.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I made a mistake with my booking and the hotel could have quite easily said it was my fault. Instead, Caroline, who works at the hotel, was absolutely amazing. She went out of her way to change the reservation for me, and her professionalism and kindness were a real credit to the hotel. Having staff like this makes all the difference—highly recommended!

Disappointed in my stay! Walked in had a great welcome on the desk signed in easy peasy! Walked up to the room and opened the door massive bed that’s the only positives I’m afraid.. The rooms are tiered and warm and all the windows were black and full of mold. The Bathrooms also tiered and warn the whole place needs a lick of paint. The other positive was the breakfast lady she was excellent and the food was great yet the overall experience was not good due to the tiered room and building

On first impressions the manor could do with a good clean up (paintwork etc) and also the rooms are a bit dated. But on a plus side staff are great, very helpful and friendly, and the food (evening meal and breakfast) are excellent. Happy to stay there again.

Hotel and rooms could do with a refresh, however the hotel was clean we stayed Thursday and Friday night. Sadly we could here people from The rooms above and could hear people walking around on in the hallway. Our toilet leaked from the flush and the sink was partly blocked so took a while to drain. Food was lovely and served hot, cooked Breakfast was lovely.

Pub
Nestled in Yeovil, the Arrow is a spacious pub that truly embodies the spirit of community and camaraderie. Known for its vibrant atmosphere, especially during football matches, it welcomes fans from both sides to enjoy the game together. The Arrow offers a delightful menu reminiscent of your favorite city restaurant while maintaining the charm of a local pub. Visitors rave about their Sunday carvery, featuring an impressive selection of fresh vegetables and three types of meat carved right before you.
So I was down in Yeovil to watch my Beloved Oldham Athletic Vs Yeovil Town so I headed to Huish park and after having a nosey around the stadium 🏟 and the Yeovil Town club shop. I had done my research by Googling Yeovil Town Away guide and lots of sites said that the Arrow is a local pub/Restaurant that welcomes Home and Away fans so a steward said to Use Google Maps to get there by cutting through a lovely little estate as opposed to walking all round the World. 10 minutes later I had arrived at the Arrow Pub to see an Army of our fans in our home, Away and Third shirts including some retro Oldham shirts. Huge bar and restaurant are, Pub was absolutely crammed full of locals, Home and away fans, families etc. The Man City Vs Crystal Palace match was being on shown on every tv in the restaurant and bar area, Cracking atmosphere, Huge variety of drinks on offer from pop to non alcoholic to beers, Craft beers, Guinness, Spirits and obviously being in Somerset loads and loads of different Ciders. As busy as it was bar staff did a great job, Super polite and friendly and extremely proficient, I opted for a Pint Of Brooklyn Lager that was crisp, ice cold well served and went down a treat on a lovely summers ☀️ day in Somerset. I felt abit peckish so I went into the restaurant but and ordered a chicken 🐔 feast which was chicken wings, Popcorn chicken, Southern Fried chicken steak, Chips and a rack of ribs, Food came out in good time considering how busy the pub was. Food came was well presented, Nice and hot and tasted absolutely delicious 😋 honest cooked to perfection, generous portion and the restaurant was spotlessly clean again considering how busy the pub was. Really enjoyed my food and opted for another Pint of Brooklyn Lager and it again was ice cold, crisp and went down well in the Yeovil sun 🌞. I finished my pint and walked the short walk back to Huish park ready for the match. I post alot of reviews on Google and I always give my honest opinion on everything from food, cleanliness, drink, Service, value for money, setting, ambience etc and I have over 32,000,000+ views on Google alone. I have reviewed everything from Locally to me and my Wife in Manchester to travelling around going for food with my Wife to travelling around the country watching my Beloved Oldham Athletic. I have reviewed everything from Restaurants to bars to beaches to beach clubs to taxis to airports to flights to beauty treatments to Barbers to hotels to Churches to Basilica to shooting ranges to hair dressers etc. From Manchester to Split(Croatia), Hvar(Croatia), Supetar(Brac, Croatia),Rome(Italy), Vatican(Italy), Bezier Cap d'Agde(South of France), Montpellier(South of France), Podgorica(Montenegro), Budva(Montenegro), Tirana(Albania), Sarande(Albania), Ksamil(Albania), Krakow(Poland), Zakopane(Poland) and this time next week we will be in Cape Verde.

Waited an hour for food, not particularly busy, think they had a lack of staff. We were asked twice if we wanted our dessert with our mains, twice we said yes, yet we still waited, cancelled it in the end and got a refund. Burger was yuk very charred and tasteless, fries were anaemic, burger sauce also yuk. Buns too well toasted. And the coffee, well it was just weird.

Staff very good, helpful and knowledgeable. Food was amazing. Good price and good sized portions, menu comprehensive and something for everyone. Disappointing Experience. I had high expectations when visiting this restaurant with my family after a month apart, but unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. This is not an authentic Indian restaurant—it feels more like a gimmick. The food we ordered was a disaster, and my little one was so disgusted that they said they hate Bombay food now. The flavors were nothing like the Indian dishes I’ve enjoyed at other restaurants in England. The service was also poor, with staff showing a sour attitude toward us, which made the experience even worse. I rarely write negative reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others. If you’re looking for authentic Indian cuisine, this is not the place. It completely spoiled our family outing, and I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to improve both their food and service.
Sanjo A — Google review
Myself and my husband used to love this place. They had the best chilli chicken! However after spending £42 last night mostly on 4x chilli chicken, all 4 of our chilli chicken was under cooked, not a single piece was crispy in any batter, some pieces didn’t even have batter! I called to complain and rectify the matter, unfortunately after explaining, my call was handed to the chef, who tried to tell me the chicken is not cooked in “batter” it is in a coating, I proceeded to ask what does the coating consist of, to which he said water and flour. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I proceeded to explain in England that is what you call the coating. Regardless I was told they would not solve the issue, the manager is away in Bangladesh for 3 weeks and to call back with the problem then. When I requested a refund or just to re do the chicken correctly he refused and told me to leave my review and put the phone down. So here we are…. Do not use this Indian the quality under “new management” is horrific! Shame as it used to be my favourite. Photo is next day as I was going to return to show them and explain.

The food was okay while the service was also decent. The restaurant was empty and we were the only guests. PS- The restaurant timings on google are not correct. Also- they charge for chutneys and they don’t ask before placing the chutneys, so do let them know if you don’t need

Ate at this restaurant on a Friday evening. Food was fantastic. I have eaten at many Indian restaurants but seldom have they been as good as this one. Very generous portions to. The William Dampier is a vibrant pub that captures the essence of community and camaraderie, especially in the evenings when its lively atmosphere comes alive. Named after the renowned explorer from East Coker, this establishment offers an impressive selection of cask ales—typically around six varieties—that change frequently, ensuring there's always something new to try. Families are welcome here too, with a kids' menu and meal deals that cater to all ages.
I had a really great Saturday evening here. Had fish and chips which was really good. I stayed a lot longer than I expected because they had music which was very much from my era (80's/90's). Lots of youngsters enjoying themselves but a really nice atmosphere. One massive plus... TOILETS ON THE GROUND FLOOR!!!🤣😂🤣

This pub was conveniently located on my cycle route to Glastonbury and the staff there was fantastic! Everyone was pleasantly smiling even though I wasn't the easiest customer as I spilled coffee there, they were quick to sort it out for me. Also I ordered 3 small plates that turned up much bigger than I expected. I asked if they had a doggy bag and although they didn't have it the lady prepared a foil for me so I could take it with me. This turned out to be a life saver as the train I took got stuck in the middle of nowhere for over 3h and the food came so handy for me as well as the fellow passengers! Thank you so much!

Used to be an amazing Lloyds bar with a great Friday night atmosphere, now it is horrible, too bright, no atmosphere, no party and very sad, they have tried to improve it with a revamp and just made it very generic….. no one wants to see your kitchen displayed, you are a Wetherspoons, not a Gasto pub

Called in for lunch on way through Yeovil. Food and drink great and at usual good prices. Nice atmosphere and big pub-staff friendly. Popped back in later for ice-cream after having a wander around the shops. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Great place to meet friends since the refit the place feel warmer and more welcoming. There is a lack of pubs now in Yeovil but the range of drinks available at very competitive prices makes it a fabulous place that protects your wallet. It now has an outside garden lounge which is equally a brilliant place to enjoy the sunshine a sociable drink.

Nearly 40 minutes waiting for breakfast lots of staff but very disorganised. Food quality was poor. Food was only just warm no point in complaining the staff where clearly not on the ball. We visit many weatherspoons this is probably one of the worst disappointment 😞

Been here a few times as its one of the cheaper spoons in the area. Food can be a bit hit and miss depending on what you order and time of day. Toilets are nice. But outside area although it's nice, insightly things going on makes it not as family friendly as you think!
Gemma L — Google review
Nicely refurbished with different levels and some booths which make the place more cosy. We visited on a hot day and the large window was open to the street giving a nice, airy feel to the place. Nice outside space as well. Helpful and pleasant staff as always at a Wetherspoons. We've been to a few and this was one of the best. Shame that the outside shopping area in Yeovil isn't up to the same standard.

Nestled in the heart of Yeovil, Viceroy is a delightful haven for lovers of Indian and Asian cuisine. Renowned for serving some of the finest Indian dishes in the area, this restaurant has garnered a loyal following over the years. Diners rave about the flavorful meals that arrive piping hot and on time, making it a reliable choice when hunger strikes. While there have been occasional hiccups with service—like missed coffee offers or dessert options—the overall experience remains positive.
What a wonderful place with very friendly staff and excellent food. A really nice twost on the traditional Indian restaurant with great decor and atmosphere. The food is excellent and the dishes are extremely good value and well presented. The flavours are complex, but they still have that authenticity. The value was excellent, and even though the portions were right, there was still more than we could eat.
William C — Google review
First time ordering takeaway from this restaurant and I must say we were heavily disappointed. We placed our first order on 05/07/2024 and didn’t hear anything back re our complaints so have decided to leave and honest and open review. Took 2 hours to deliver and when we called the restaurant to ask where our order was they stated it was 5-10 minutes away. It then took a further 30 minutes for us to receive our food. Totalling in 2.5 hours to receive a meal, when we were told the waiting time would be between 30 minutes to an hour. When we eventually received our food the order was wrong. I ordered a prawn rogan which was cold and my partner ordered a CHICKEN korma. He received a prawn korma. Not only was this the completely wrong order but he is also severely allergic to prawns and was left with no dinner, we’re just extremely lucky he noticed before he tried it. For a business to not be taking extreme caution around one of the top 14 KNOWN allergens, it’s disgusting and there food hygiene and health & safety should be re assessed. The only positive to this whole ordeal was that the person who picked up the phone call was polite, hence the 1 star. All in all don’t order.
Chantelle L — Google review
Small, intimate restaurant with delicious food. My server gave great recommendations when asking about the vegetarian options available. The atmosphere was lovely but there were only a few people eating in (a fair few take outs were served) but it was a Friday evening so that could be the reason.

Ordered lamb biryani, hardly any meat piece in it. Paid 10 pounds for it but worth a lot less. Chicken biriyani had more pieces though paid 10 pounds for it too. it doesn't taste like any Indian biryani. The curry included potatoes, in India biryani never includes a curry with potatoes Food was not hot.

The Viceroy has been my favourite Indian restaurant / takeaway for many years, and has always been my go to - However sadly the last 2 or 3 occasions I’ve been very disappointed with the food as they have been extremely stingy with the meat, and the overall quality has noticeably declined…. I usually order the Balti Chilli Lamb Masala which is usually a delicious, and spicy dish with plenty of succulent well flavoured lamb - But the last 3 times it’s only had about 4 pieces of very bland meat, and the dish has not even been spicy…. I was hoping it was just a one off slip - but after 3 disappointments in a row I think it’s unfortunately time to move on and say farewell to the viceroy…. I understand that lamb isn’t cheap - but I’d rather they just put the prices up than resort to cutting corners on the meat and quality of the food…

My friend and I came here as it seemed to be the only Indian restaurant in Yeovil open on a Sunday lunchtime. We weren't disappointed: Friendly service and superb food. Good value for money - can highly recommend.

If you're on the hunt for a culinary gem, look no further than Daniel Sushi Steak & Seafood. This delightful restaurant is dedicated to serving up an array of high-quality dishes crafted from the freshest ingredients available. Their menu boasts a tantalizing selection that includes sushi, steak, and seafood, all designed to excite your taste buds with vibrant flavors and healthy options. One standout dish is their new spicy scallops maki, which has garnered rave reviews for its exquisite taste.
The most amazing Sushi 🍣 place! On our way from Sussex to Cornwall and wanted to stop for something to eat. This place flashed up as we were approaching Yeovil and I'm so glad we stopped here. You can tell the food is made with great care and the passion for the cuisine is evident. Will stop again if in the area!

So I went here for an enjoyable sushi dinner and it didn't disappoint. Started having a drink and as I am a big believer on green tea, I decided to try Brown Rice Green Tea which I had never heard of and it didn't disappoint. Very nice with the suttle rice flavour. The menu was large and offered a lot of option so I went for the Nigiri chefs selection (different types of fish wrapped around sushi rice) and also the standard salmon maki. Waitress who brought it out was always helpful and friendly and the food was really good so it was an enjoyable meal. Few people were in there and I like a peaceful environment at times especially eating sushi. Only thing I would say and this is just personal preference but a lot of the sushi does state that it has tempura flakes which I guess would be like a batter for a crunch. For me personally, I like sushi as natural how it is and struggled to find much of the maki without it but that's just personal preference. I would certainly eat here again.

I had a surprise birthday meal here. And entered as a Sushi and Japanese food virgin!. All I can say is just wow!!!, absolutely beautiful food. We had Teriyaki Duck and it was the best duck ive ever tasted. Friendly Staff and the service was great. I can now say im no longer a sushi and Japanese food virgin. Look forward to coming back soon Thank you Daniel Sushi.

First of all, the food was amazing, my husband and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I would say our visit was satisfactory. HOWEVER, the menu was extremely confusing and did not have all the prices on it. No photos or descriptions of what was inside each dish. Our waiter was very friendly but seemed like his mind was elsewhere and couldn't tell us exactly what was in each dish but kept recommending the most expensive thing on the menu (from what we could see). We were the only people there but food took quite a long time to arrive, this was also strange as it was a Friday night, we were hoping for it to be a good atmosphere but it felt a bit dead:/ This doesn't change the fact that the food was very good though.

What a fantastic place.... We love japanese food and sushi and so glad we found this little gem... The food is excellent, best we had for a long time... All at a reasonable price. This is a small restaurant in a relax atmosphere and great staff. The tasters set menu are a great idea... We drove a hour without knowing what we would find... I am so glad we did and we will go back despite the 2 hours round trip...

Recently had a Christmas night out here. Very disappointing.the food was very basic, beef, sprouts, cabbage and carrots, one Yorkshire pudding. Rather dry roast potatoes. Gravy. It wasn't really hot, but warm. The 'free' mince pie was actually inedible...we sent them all back, they responded with oh dear, they were the same yesterday. Nothing offered instead. The room wasn't festively decorated. There was no Christmas music. For what I paid I could have got a really good carvery with much more variety and better food elsewhere. I won't be going there again in a hurry. And certainly not for any sort of celebration. Sorry QSM you let yourselves down.

Ate here this evening, service fab. Ordered gammon, wasn’t great but wasn’t terrible!! Confused as to what came on my plate, eleven chips, peas in a Ramekin?? And a random handful of greenery that did nothing to add to the plate! I have to say I’ve had a better plate from the quickie, not complaining, just saying 😉

As ever, Pete and his crew are always on point for their food!! I suspect there could be a new chef & kitchen staff as the menu has had a serious update and overhaul, and the results are very impressive and varied!! Everyone in our party had something different and it was all hot, well presented and well cooked, as it always has been, new staff notwithstanding. Rumours have circulated that Pete, the landlord (and personal friend) is relinquishing this pub, I can tell you with certainty that this is not so, not for the foreseeable future anyway. So, will will continue to frequent this wonderful watering hole and enjoy its culinary delights!!

We were staying in Yeovil for a wedding and were on the lookout for some breakfast. Online reviews led us here. Parking round the back in a local authority car park or just round the corner on street. Lovely people, great service, cool atmosphere and the food was banging. Good veggie / vegan options but the full English plates going to other tables looked stunning. I like the 'dado rail of fame' ... Alan Titchmarsh, among others have visted and autographed it. Nice touch. Would definitely come back here. Thanks

Guests have shared their experiences of friendly service from staff like Patrick and Dave who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant visit. Whether you're looking for gluten-free options or accommodating special dietary needs, Pizza Hut strives to make every meal enjoyable.
Went into Pizza Hut this afternoon with my children and I don’t have a bad word to say. Buffet selection was amazing and it was being replenished at a fast pace! Pizza was absolutely incredible and tasted fresh which you don’t get at many places that serve a buffet. Not only was the food great, the staff made the experience one to remember. I was greeted at the door by Ellie who was super friendly and didn’t hesitate to help and explain everything to me when I needed assistance. Dave was also very polite and helpful when he came to check in on us. The staff were very smiley and even went out of their way to communicate with the children when bringing over their drinks which was a really nice experience as they felt very included ☺️ The whole atmosphere was a 10/10 and I will definitely be returning.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Outstanding Service at Pizza Hut Yeovil! Just had one of the best dining experiences at Pizza Hut in Yeovil! From the moment we walked in, the team made us feel welcome and looked after every detail to make sure we had a fantastic time. Special shoutout to Danny, Dave, and Connor – these guys went above and beyond. Danny was super friendly and made great recommendations, Dave kept everything running smoothly with real professionalism, and Connor’s energy and attention to detail really stood out. You could tell they genuinely care about the customer experience. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious – exactly what you’d hope for from Pizza Hut, and then some. But it’s the team that really made the visit memorable. Massive thanks to the Yeovil crew – we’ll definitely be back soon

No complaints at all—great service and a pleasant dining experience!

Myself and my partner visited Pizza Hut on the off chance there might be a table for the lunch buffet. The last couple of times the staff have looked stressed which created an awkward atmosphere. This time was not the case! We were greeted at the door by the new manager - Dave, who was more than accommodating when finding us a table. He along side his colleague (unfortunately we didn’t get their name!) made sure the restaurant ran efficiently clearing tables adequate check ins and topping up the buffet. A massive well done and thank you to Dave and the team! A & C :)

Sadly we won’t be going to Pizza Hut again. It’s nothing like it used to be. Firstly, having to order via a QR code, and this being the only option is just ridiculous. The app wouldn’t work, and quite frankly when your paying £50 plus for a meal, someone coming to the table to take the order would have been a lot nicer & quicker, especially as j had to go up and ask 3 different questions before we even attempted to order the food. Secondly when the waiter came to give us our drinks, he quite literally snatched the menu out of my hand that I was reading, and if we hadn’t have ordered our food we would have left. Thirdly the food was average, we ended up only having a kids spaghetti bolognese because we were so fed up, and the salad bar was very average, again nothing like it used to be. Sadly we won’t be coming back again and after watching 7 other people walk out in the space of 20 minutes surely this would suggest you need to have a serious look at what’s going wrong.
Alice G — Google review
Ordered take away, order accepted, 30 minutes after it should have been delivered phone the restaurant up and the order has been cancelled, no phone call no e mail. Now have to wait 3-5 days for a refund. No name or order number was given on the phone either so I don't know how they know who's getting refunded.
Debs E — Google review
Staff is excellent, very friendly and attentive. Good choice of pizzas, salad and pudding, although the food itself could be a bit better. Not particularly impressed with the pizza. But ok for a meal out with your kids. Thanks
Kranffel — Google review
Absolute dumpster fire, a ghost of what it used to be, ran by incompetent managers on an ever changing rotation of new hires, there's been five new managers in the past three years alone and I'm not surprised. Arrived at the door, only to be greeted by someone telling us we had to use a QR Code in order to 'order' our food, there were only two other people in the restaurant so I'm not sure why customer service is so difficult. Buffet food was cold and nasty, manager never refilled the buffet and I had to ask multiple times if they were going to. I noticed an elderly couple coming into the restaurant and having to wait, wait and wait for 10 minutes, eventually they went over to the kitchen asking if they could order food(which of course you can't, if you don't have a SmartPhone) Last time I'll visit this dump.

This charming restaurant offers a warm welcome and an extensive menu that caters to all tastes, including vegetarian options. Guests rave about the flavorful dishes like chicken korma and saag paneer, served alongside freshly made naan and chapati. The portions are generous, ensuring you leave satisfied. The friendly staff enhance the atmosphere with their attentive service, making every visit enjoyable.
Visited again with my son and D in Law, my last visit was 3 years ago, we were given a friendly welcome from staff as my son is a regular. We ordered a bottle of wine and beers. Food order was, poppadoms with chutney tray, starters, chicken pakora and onion bahjis to share, 2 chicken korma, a chicken tikka, a sagg paneer. rice, chips and a garlic naan. All our food was freshly made, well presented and very tasty. The restaurant has a friendly relaxed atmosphere, its bright and spacious, so ideal for a meal out. We njoyed our visit :)

Other meals at my table seemed decent but my curry was bland and missing some of the ingredients described in the menu. Ordered a garlic nan, which was smothered in cheap garlic mayo rather than real garlic, which was incredibly disappointing since that was the part I usually enjoy most. Lemonade was barely chilled and flat. Won't be going back, there's plenty of other places to eat instead in the area. Oh, and they forgot our booking. Rather wish they hadn't been able to find us a table despite that.

Superb, really tasty food couldn't fault it. Best I've had for a while
David M — Google review
It was disgusting. The food came and the butter chicken looked watery and had lots of butter on the top it also had a huge piece of bone and it looked grim. After that the so called garlic naan came out it had mayonnaise on it and this wasn't specified on the menu what if your vegetarian and it wasn't specified. And this rude server kept on talking back to us saying it was their specialty but it should be mentioned after that we decided to leave and pay for the only thing we ate which was poppadom but the rude server came back and handed the other guy our full check like we had to pay for it like who does he think he is when we didn't touch a thing at all. And the rude server kept saying it was Indian like how would you know what indian. These type of restaurants bring disgrace to our Indian culture when they don't know a thing. Overall would not recommend 😊😊😊😊
Goree D — Google review
My friend and I had a good Indian meal for two which included more food than we could eat. We arrived about 8:30 pm and were able to get a table after a 10 minute wait. Staff was friendly and efficient and the multiple courses showed up just when we were ready.
Paterjo — Google review
They brought out the food and the curry is not indian. They cannot call this Indian food then say to us (indians) that it is Indian. This is a disgrace to Indian culture. They brought out the butter chicken and I was thinking to send it back. It was too watery and had this weird layer of goo. We tried to mix it and it wouldn’t mix in. The chicken also did not look right as it had bones and it was inconsistent. But then they brought out the garlic naan and it had mayonnaise on it. I do not eat mayonnaise and it was very surprising that when I questioned it they said it was their specialty. What specialty? They say it is Indian? Go to any Indian restaurant and you will never see mayonnaise on garlic naan. They should be clear when you do something different to a dish. There were very rude to us about this, and they were not sorry or even a little bit nice about this. decided to leave since they were being rude and the food looked like crap.

I mostly go here for a quick snack or if my sweet tooth kicks in and it never disappoints me. Kaspa’s are one of the best places in Yeovil in my opinion because of how much effort and how good they make their deserts. Milkshakes, Waffles or even Ice Cream are all delicious and take it to the next level. Staff is also great and helpful in anything. They seat you, politely ask questions and always have a smile on their face. Thank you Kaspa’s for your amazing staff and work you put.

What a great idea, a dessert only eatery. Set out like an American diner/milk bar with a menu of waffles and crepes with a huge assortment of toppings or design your own, as well as an equally impressive array of ice cream and sorbet flavours. Drinks are cold soft fizzy and still or tea, coffee and hot chocolate. I went on a late Saturday afternoon/early evening and it busy but no need to book, as they turn around tables quite quickly.

Pizza Pasta Mondo Yeovil is a warmly adorned restaurant, owned by Sicilians, that offers classic dishes from various regions of Italy. Their menu includes a variety of options, including pizza. A friend had a satisfying meal there and enjoyed a mocha as well. Although some items on the menu were slightly expensive for smaller portions, the friend's bowl of pasta wasn't an adult size and left him wanting more.
Dropped in while working away and was pleasantly impressed with pretty much everything. Kind . Welcoming . Great food and drink and was reasonably busy at 8pm on a Monday the classic calzone was awesome. Well worth a visit thank you

What a great recommendation from a work colleague!! Pizza, Pasta, Calzones Fresh fish dishes and with the option for GF and DF. Lots of Veggie options too. Sorry didn't pay too much attention to any vegan options. We had meatballs and Buffalo mozzarella salad to start. The lasagna -tasted good but lacking meat, lots of layers of pasta though. Vegetarian pizza and a meat feast pizza. Thin based and lots of flavour. Francesco is a lovely host, welcoming and informative on the menu options. Nice, quirky cafe for those warm sunny evenings or a pop on by for lunch. We will be back. Oooo beer on draught for those who do. We will return.

Ordered 2 Bruschetta Classica to share. Then 16" Salamino & a 16" YTFC pizzas. Patate Al Rosmarino V and a Risotto Pollo E Pancetta all delivered on time stated, so all food was hot and tasty. We all enjoyed our carry out

Ordered at 7.20pm Friday night, with a delivery time of 8.15-8.30. Fair enough, it's Friday night. When our good was delivered it was the totally wrong order. Nothing was what we had ordered. My partner brought it in not realising, and we tried running out the door to let the driver know, who had ridiculously swiftly driven away. Called PPM up to (I assume) fairly new employee who had no idea what to do, and asked if we would be happy to keep the food? After a few minutes of back and forth with the girl and a guy in the background on the phone, they begrudgingly asked if I wanted my order to be remade and sent out; well yes obviously. They said they'd like the food back that was the wrong order, i kinda get it but also dont? Offer it up as an apology for totally messing up our order? Told it would be there in 20 minutes and they'd call when it was on the way. Well after 40 minutes it arrived, soggy and cold. So 2 hours from the original order we finally got out food, cold, soggy and bland. Hugely disappointed. No real apology or offer of refund. Won't be ordering or going here again. Dismal.

Called up to get it sent out to br told (after overhearing an argument about it) there are no drivers so they will only refund. I didn't want a refund i eanted my item. An apology or any form of empathy would have been a good idea too. Coco di Mamas next time me thinks.

Ordered for collection through just eat 01/03/2025 We ordered a calzone and Pollo Al Dolcelatte. When we dished it up the calzone was very nice but the other meal was only chicken in sauce , potatoes were missing. When told this Ppm where not very helpful at all . Just said you can have potatoes free next time ! What’s the point of ordering a takeaway when you end up having to cook potatoes and vegetables to go with it . There mistake, they have offered nothing in compensation.bad customer service , Could that be the reason why the restaurant was empty on a Saturday evening?

Went in for a quick coffee before heading home. Was immediately told ‘we’re closing in 15 minutes’, which I thought would be fine, but apparently not. I said (my father and I) are here for coffee, to which the reply was again ‘we’re closing in 15 minutes’ - this time as if I’m a toddler. Surely the coffee machines don’t get switched off at 14.45? Why loose the trade if you say you’re open till 3pm? Whatever. Nothing more disappointing than poor service, which leaves a taste in the mouth more bitter than a bad double espresso.

Nestled in the bustling Quedam Shopping Centre, Boswells Cafe is a delightful spot that opens its doors early for breakfast and continues to serve an enticing array of brunch, lunch, and afternoon tea options throughout the day. This popular eatery offers a diverse menu featuring traditional English dishes alongside Mediterranean favorites like lasagne and chili. With both hot and cold food choices available, there's something for everyone—including gluten-free options for those with dietary restrictions.
Excellent range of food choices, typically English cuisine but some Mediterranean such as lasagne, chilli, French bread, Italian bread. Hot and cold food good drink choices. Suitable for families. Accessible entrance and toilet on ground floor. Outside seating area and upstairs seating. Food very fresh and delicious. Not overpriced for a decent meal. Serve all day breakfast and ice-cream too. Takeaway. Worth a visit. It was very busy but plenty of staff to get the orders prepared and served quickly.

This place excels in atmosphere. It feels very cosy and comfortable. I got a hunters chicken flatbread. While the prices here feel slightly inflated the service is good and i didn't wait long. my food arrived hot and it was very tasty.

Nice place, reasonable prices, and a good selection of meals, cakes, and snacks. It was busy when I was there, so service wasn't the greatest, but I think that was more to do with the shear volume of people in the place. I had a nice coffee and fajita.

I’m not normally the type to leave reviews on places but I was really not impressed with my experience today. The food was a completely disappointment. Had ham egg and chips..the chips were either pouring with grease or rock solid, the egg was like rubber and was just weirdly cooked and the ham was rubbery too. Obviously not expecting the most pristine presentation and top quality food but when your paying for it and something so simple is that appalling it’s a joke to be honest.

Nestled in the charming heart of Yeovil, The Acorn Somerset is a delightful cafe, deli, and wine bar that offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for any occasion. Located right across from the picturesque Church Green, this cozy spot is known for its friendly staff and exceptional service. Guests rave about the diverse vegetarian options that are both fresh and flavorful. During my visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the laid-back vibe enhanced by Blur's music playing softly in the background.
This is hands down the best food I have had, they serve loads of local produce. The atmosphere whenever I go is calm but busy. Nothing is too much of a bother and they always seam to surpass my expectations! Will be definitely coming back a lot more! The evening theme nights are not to be missed Recommend to everyone!

The Acorn in Somerset is a real gem! This cute restaurant is right next to the church and exudes a wonderfully cosy atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, which makes the visit even more pleasant. I particularly liked the good vegetarian options – fresh, tasty, and varied. When we were there, Blur music was playing in the background, which I thought was super cool and fitted perfectly with the relaxed vibe. All in all, I really enjoyed the stay, and the free WiFi is a nice bonus. Absolutely recommended for a relaxed stop!

My partner and I went there today for lunch and were both very impressed with the portion sizes, especially for the price. Our server was very attentive, checking in on us regularly, and the food was absolutely stunning. From our seat, we had a lovely view of the church garden, and the décor was excellent. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to eat in Yeovil.

My partner & I had lunch at The Acorn a few months ago, and enjoyed it so much we booked for one of their supper clubs, that was last weekend. We absolutely loved the evening! It was a street food around the world theme, and it was amazing! My partner very much enjoyed the drinks pairing with each of the 6 courses as well. The food was so delicious, and it's great to know the produce is locally sourced. The atmosphere in there is really lovely, and it felt like a very intimate setting. The chef was very accommodating for me, being gluten free, which I really appreciate! We loved it so much, we've booked for another supper club in a couple of months 😁 I would highly recommend The Acorn as a really lovely independent business, that thoroughly deserves the support!!

Morrisons Cafe offers a delightful experience for those seeking a classic breakfast. Upon visiting just after 8:30 am, I found the atmosphere pleasantly calm, perfect for enjoying a meal. The self-service ordering system was straightforward, allowing me to quickly grab cutlery and sauces before my food arrived. The breakfast itself was satisfying, featuring proper Yorkshire tea and fried bread that added to the charm of the meal.
Arrived just after 8:30am, nice and quiet, ordered breakfast on self service point. Made a pot of tea, got cutlery, sauces and sat down then food arrived brilliant. I like the plates and proper Yorkshire tea and fried bread too, lovely experience all round. I imagine it would get busy as it must be popular. I noticed some (older?) customers did struggle with self service point, not because they’re lazy I suspect more likely they had cash or other non menu requirements. Unfortunately the coffee machine was out of order which caused an upset to one or two. I was fine though just people watching for 5 mins.
Richard C — Google review
Unfortunately we have tried twice now to eat here and both times at different times of day the options you have are extremely limited, sold out of nearly everything and no option of chips for the kids meals 🤯 drinks are suppose to be included with the kids meals and the options are, water or milk! Now if your child drinks these your fine but not all children are the same. I really dont like leaving bad reviews as I feel everyone has a bad day etc but twice now is poor. Do better morrisons ❤️

But still a value place to eat.

Food is always great and the staff who've been there when I've been there, have always been lovely. HOWEVER... Morrisons Management Please Make A Note of this next comment...the ruddy scrapping noise of the chairs when they're pushed back or pulled forward!!! jeezus! drives me crazy...screeches on my ears...sets my teeth on edge..it's worse than a screaming child... PLEASE PLEASE Management have some dampening thingies (can't remember what they're called 🤦) fitted to the ends of the chair legs🙏 hence me giving only 3* overall...but I would like to stress that the food and staff was/were lovely when I was there. Also, the Cafe now offers free tea and coffee refills after paying for the first one. If you can put up with the chair leg screeching, well worth a visit 👍
Sarah-Jane W — Google review
Food reasonably priced. Pretty quick to arrive after ordering. Some collect yourself bits were not available and had to seek out someone to arrange. Self service tills only in use which would have stopped half of the issues had. When actually tracking down someone who worked there, they were pretty unhelpful and a little rude stating I did not tell them correctly in the first place what was needed. Overall price wise pretty decent with kids eating free. Service poor.
Graham L — Google review
Genuinely the worst place to buy breakfast in Yeovil. First time I came here the forgot my order, didn't get an apology, then the food they delivered was poor. Second time my bacon roll had a bun as hard as a brick, and it was cold. Then today I went to make my own breakfast and everything is out of stock besides toast, like what's the point of even offering it if they claim to have nothing. Such a shame that its this poor of an experience, go literally anywhere else in town and you'll have a better time.

Visited this place last week very busy I've been several times in the past but unfortunately it takes 25 or 30 waiting time and my food was cold I ordered a small breakfast and it didn't have a lot on it for the price ..I had 1 small piece of bacon spoonful of beans 1 egg and 1 small tomato made up of two toast which was dry and cold even tho it came out with bits missing cause they had ran out it was still the same price .shame really cause it's a nice place. Staff are lovely .

Absolutely shocking. In such a large cafe they have a grand total of 2 highchairs. Half the menu off, not a single bit of cutlery in the place and staff that are no where to Be seen. Used to be a great place, now I'd avoid like the plague to be honest.

Nestled in a charming old farmhouse, The Great Lyde offers a delightful dining experience split between its lively Sportsmans Bar and the more tranquil Lounge Bar that leads to the restaurant. Known for its family-friendly atmosphere, The Great Lyde serves up delicious meals featuring local produce, including an impressive carvery. Despite some ups and downs in management over the years, recent changes have revitalized this gem, bringing back the beloved skittle alley that attracts patrons on various nights.
I took an 89 year old friend to have the Sunday carvery. The food was perfect and the staff were really friendly and kind. My friend said that the meat was lovely, and tender, rather necessary with 89 year old teeth! She also said that the atmosphere was like being amongst friends and that this was her favourite place to eat. Mine too!

One star awarded only because the place, during this reviewers visit, was closed - it being a Covid casualty. I'm sure the place deserves more than this. Indeed, being on the Cask Marque Ale Trail (and the original purpose of the sojourn) would have earned it 5 stars forthwith. This will not be my final appraisal - reading the notes of others, there is much to commend the establishment for. Watch this space dear reader.

I’ve never been here before, but have heard it has been less than desirable in the past. I’ve seen all the good reviews recently and thought we’d give it a go for Sunday carvery. I was not disappointed and can happily say I agree with all the good reviews! The food was brilliant for the price. Meat was lovely, potatoes nice and crispy, vegetables cooked to perfection. All very tasty and we ate loads. The service staff forgot to bring some drinks over, and one of our puddings, but she did say the till was broken so it had made things difficult for them to keep track of what was going where. And as soon as we asked, they brought it over immediately. All staff were super lovely, friendly and welcoming and apologised for any inconveniences and so it wasn’t really a big deal at all. Excellent customer service. Very happy over all and will definitely be coming back again. Especially as my little boy fell in love with Chester the pub bulldog and has insisted that we see him again!

Went there for a Sunday carvery. Excellent food and great service. The meal was reasonably priced with a choice of large, medium, or small size portions. We will certainly be going back again and I also noticed that they offer a take away service which we might well take advantage of at some time. I can definitely recommend the Great Lyde for a superb Sunday lunch.

Me and my colleague ordered some food from poppins today. He was very happy with his burger but unfortunately my cod had succumb to some deep freezer burn leaving it very chewy and opaque in colour. It was like eating undercooked pork fat. Service was great and pretty fast. They discounted a drink as an apology and offered me something else to eat.
Sentient M — Google review
Nice little café, serves all day breakfast along with a variety of other meals. The food was served quickly but a little underwhelming for the price, the hash browns tasted a bit burnt and drinks were very expensive; a 330ml glass of Pepsi costing almost £4. Table service was handy however, and the staff were very friendly and was greeted at the door upon arrival. Atmosphere reminded me of an American Diner which was really refreshing, with an open look into the kitchen as chefs made the meals. Overall I couldn't say I was particularly blown away, with the main drawback being the price - however I still respect the efforts made by staff to ensure an inclusive experience. 3/5

Staff were rude specifically the women with the ginger Bob, will never visit again. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with this company’s customer service was extremely disappointing. From the beginning, I felt more like a burden than a valued customer.

This is a nice little cafe at the bottom of town. Place was quite busy which indicates that it is a nice place and food must be okay. Our meal was quite nice and service was fast. There is the need for maybe tables and chairs to be updated or replaced as the first one I sat in was broken. Other than this I would recommend it as a place to go for a quick bite to eat.

Popped in the cafe on a Friday afternoon for a quick cuppa and drink with my family. The two young ladies working served me fine but then just stood behind the counter on their phones, one even had a chair behind there to sit on! There were tables to clear which they ignored constantly! Crumbs allover the floor. Having worked in hospitality for years I was annoyed to see this.people walked in and they didn't greet them . I think they need a little more training.

All bathrooms here stink, piss everywhere on the floor, and it's dirty and disgusting, I have to physically cover my nose to go use the toilets as it smells too repulsive, only good thing here are the hot drinks (food is kinda ok) but clearly none of the staff can be bothered to clean up or even spray airfreshener, I still like the hot drinks tho. Starbucks Coffee, the iconic Seattle-based coffeehouse chain, is a go-to spot for those seeking their signature roasts and light snacks. Nestled conveniently near various retail shops, it’s an ideal place to grab a quick caffeine fix. However, be mindful of peak hours as traffic can become quite congested in this bustling area. While the ambiance is clean and inviting, with bright interiors that make for a pleasant visit, some patrons have noted inconsistencies in coffee quality across locations.
Only this about here is its always dirty and needs an attendant always watching the floor.. its very busy but Starbucks is lacking here as a trusted great brand this needs attention!! Otherwise we love it! #STARBUCKSJUNKIE

Pretty poor service. Ordered to have in, came in a takeaway cup, there solution was to just pour the drink in a non dispose cup. I'm already paying £4 for a flat white, the least they could do is serve it properly.
Jamie P — Google review
This place is absolutely filthy. Three members of staff stood around chatting while not a single empty table has been cleared. And the amount of rubbish on the floor is disgraceful. I asked the manager why she was chatting and not cleaning up the mess, she said she should be, but she’s chatting right now! I was here on 1. Aug at 17.17 hrs! The photo is of the table AFTER a member of staff cleaning it! This is the AFTER photo.

This place really needs a refit, very scruffy, chairs all full of holes, the tables don’t get cleaned regularly. Won’t be coming here again. Starbucks must make plenty of money, they should be making the customers more comfy out of their profits. Costa is much better.
Jayne W — Google review
Review would have been five stars if the coffee was consistently good, which sadly is rarely the case in any Starbucks store, and certainly the case at this location. It seems that the pandemic has impacted the supply of some food products, which is at last covered with a notice at this location. However, if you have a dietary requirement such as ‘gluten free’ you can’t try other products, as suggested in the notice. This is not unique to Starbucks and really is a poor excuse for all stores where customers with dietary restrictions previously catered for have simply been dropped. This may have been reasonable a month or two ago, but surely should have been resolved by now. COVID-19 precautions during our visit on the 18th September 2020 were well thought out with a one way system in operation and good signage. Staff very friendly. This is in an easy to access location if you are passing through, as we were, with other useful stores and petrol nearby.

Really dirty and uninviting. The coffee was ok but the bacon roll was one of the worst I’ve ever had. Dry, almost stale bread, 1 piece of limp bacon with ketchup that tasted more like vinegar. Burger King is a beloved fast-food destination known for its delicious grilled burgers, crispy fries, and creamy shakes. Many patrons have shared their delightful experiences with the friendly staff who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant visit. For instance, June has been highlighted for her exceptional service, patiently assisting customers with app issues while maintaining a warm demeanor. Eve also received praise for her quick service. While the food consistently impresses long-time visitors, some have noted that cleanliness in certain areas could use improvement.
Can’t fault this Burger King! The team here is fantastic easily some of the friendliest staff I’ve encountered. Joel the manager, clearly knows what he’s doing. The whole vibe has improved massively over the past few months. They consistently go the extra mile for their customers. Big thanks to the whole crew!
Kieran G — Google review
Great food and brilliant staff. However, the tables were not clean. The toilets were not clean at all. The hand dryer did not work.
Lillie B — Google review
We visited on Wednesday and unfortunately, this will be remembered as a very poor experience. When I asked about the toilets, the chap behind the counter casually pointed upstairs. I explained that I am disabled in case he hadn’t noticed, but his only response was a smile. No assistance, no alternative, no “reasonable adjustment.” Restaurants with seating are required to provide customer toilets, and under the Equality Act 2010, if toilets are provided, they must include accessible facilities. This was not the case here, which is unacceptable. As for the food, it was mediocre at best. The double chicken royales were dry, and with just two sachets of ketchup provided, it did little to improve them. Between the lack of accessible toilets and the sub-par food, I left disappointed. This location is badly in need of improvements, both in facilities and staff training around accessibility.

I never had a fault with Burger King. This time was kind of unexpected. I walked in and yes the place was clean, ish. Service was busy as always. I went to order a meal for me and my sister. It took around 40 minutes for our order to come. I looked in my burger and it was an utter mess. It stunk of something very off and the taste was pure cheese. Cheese was everywhere around the burger including some parts of the beef patty. My sister had nothing wrong with hers but this has to be resolved now or later.
Ashley T — Google review
I have never seen a group of more unenthusiastic people in my life. I ordered a burger and four onion rings and it took almost half an hour To be ready for me. When it was given to me, it was given to me by a young boy who really didn’t want to be there, And as for the two girls working with him, I’ve seen dead people move faster. Frustrated about the wait time And the attitude of the staff, not a great way to end the Sunday evening

The halloumi fries are great and the food and service has always been great for me only let down is they could do with wiping the tables and floor down more, but otherwise I'd say it's better than McDonald's

Got a Original melt burger at lunchtime today, won't make that mistake again!, there was a time not too long ago where king burgers were tasty, moist and looked good to eat, not anymore their dry, taste of nothing and look nothing like the adverts, shocking quality. Got home and went to give it to my dog.....he had second thoughts too. In future l'll stick to McD

A warm welcoming hug of a cafe! Food is delicious, fresh and homemade. Staff very friendly but discrete, checks you’re ok but don’t keep bothering you. A good place to relax with friends and to eat well. I dine in and takeaway.

Great little place. Friendly and unpretentious. Prices are very reasonable. We’ve had the full English every time we’ve visited so far. Really good value (includes a hot drink) and very tasty. Dog friendly, in fact, they love it when we bring the dog in! And they always offer her a sausage which obviously goes down well! 🐶

This has always been a favourite place of mine, its quiet and quaint, so was my first port of call coming out of lock down..! The staff are almost like extended family they are so kind, caring and genuine and always up beat, i cant speak highly enough, they are extremely professional following all Covid specifications, hand sanitisers everywhere and enough space and masks are essential and the friendly welcome back put me at ease straight away. The prices are really reasonable, offering good hearty breakfasts, panni sandwiches and delicious home made cakes all washed down with an assortment of hot and cold drinks. And they even do take away, small events and out side catering ! I”ve photographed the information for takeaway and explanation of their out side catering, however i am not going to spoil you with images of the inside and there on spec food.. thats for you to discover for yourselves! So If you looking for a small friendly quiet family run cafe this is your place!

If you're on the hunt for a top-notch Chinese takeaway, look no further than Wah Ying House! This gem has quickly become a favorite for many, including couples who regularly indulge in its delicious offerings. Diners rave about the exceptional quality of ingredients and consistently piping hot meals that arrive faster than expected. Plus, who doesn't love complimentary spring rolls and prawn crackers? With every order being a delightful experience, it's hard to understand any negative feedback.
We had a delivery from here this teatime. This is the best Chinese takeaway we have ever had, it was all absolutely delicious 10/10. We would definitely recommend this takeaway to all, the food arrived on time, lovely and hot and the delivery driver was polite snd friendly. We will definitely be having all our Chinese takeaways from here in future. Thank you so much Wah Ying House, PERFECT..

Probably the worst Chinese carryout I've tried anywhere. We ordered BBQ pork ribs amongst other dishes, and the BBQ pork ribs were coated in thick cooking oil and no BBQ sauce. The ribs were literally sitting in cooking oil like you'd fry chips in. Their chicken balls and orange sauce were gross too. The chicken didn't even taste like chicken and had no flavor. Would never order from here again.
Rob — Google review
Just received absolutely disgusting chicken balls. They are inedible. I phoned in and a very dopey man said hello? Then hung up before I could ask "is that wah ying house". I had to call back. He again just said "hello" as if I had rung him in his house. I had to ask if I was speaking with Wah Ying House. He said yes. I asked why he didn't say that when answering the phone. SILENCE! I went on to tell him about how I've worked all day without eating, and now have an inedible meal. SILENCE! Asked for a refund. SILENCE!. Asked can you hear and understand me? He said "yes". So I asked what he thought of what I just told him. SILENCE! I asked him if he would like me to write a review about this. SILENCE. Asked again if he was going to do anything about the inedible food I was sent. Asked him if the chicken balls are still in date and had they been in the freezer so long they had freezer burn, because they were chewy and tasted so bad. SILENCE! So I asked him if he was in charge and as a result is he the reason the food is so bad now, when it used to be so good. SILENCE. So I told him I'm leaving the review then. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM WAH YING HOUSE AGAIN! And they have been my main go to Chinese for 25 years! AVOID AVOID AVOID Had chicken balls from Bamboo Garden the other day btw. And they were beautiful. Absolutely perfect with good quality chicken. Divvy guy from Wah Ying House..... go and try the chicken balls from Bamboo Garden and learn about what they should be like!!!! I'M FUMING!!!

We were always buying from you and never had any problems. Food was delicious and hot. But today you delivered not fresh only reheated food probably from yesterday. Now me and my children are feeling sick. Definitely will never order from you.

Ordered a takeaway from here and after driving only 5 mins or so to home, the curried chicken breast sauce was solidified like it had gone cold and didn't tasted sour.
Peter R — Google review
I've been ordering from way ying for over five years, but tonight they destroyed that. I waited two hours for a delivery of two items. I rang the take away twice and both times was told the food was on its way. Eventually I contacted food hub as I placed the order through them. Wah ying lied to food hub, telling them that they had never received my order. They would process a refund that would take five days but I had to reorder my food to get it?! Absolute madness and a complete shambles.
Hannah O — Google review
Very dissapointed in our meals tonight not sure if they haved changed the chef, but both our meals a chow mein and foo yung tasted bland as anything. Chips anemic and under cooked. Normally have a tasty takeaway from here,

Wah Ying House don’t cook the food there but they take orders from there but cook them in Peking House (next door) they have a little hole where they pass the orders in the other kitchen. So they take orders from 2 takeaways but the food is cooked in on takeaway. Once I’ve ordered food from them and I found hair in my food this is because they don’t wear hair nets and beard nets. This is all i had to say to them.

Indian takeaway
Takeout Restaurant
Raj Cuisine is a delightful gem in the heart of Yeovil, renowned for its exceptional Indian dishes that have been delighting locals for over 50 years. This contemporary Asian restaurant has established itself as a go-to spot for authentic flavors and culinary expertise. With an impressive menu, they cater to various tastes and even accommodate special requests beyond their standard offerings. Their commitment to quality extends to their delivery service, allowing patrons to enjoy delicious meals from the comfort of home or work.
Our usual Indian takeaway was not accepting orders so we took a chance on Raj Cuisine. I asked for a dish that wasn't on the menu and they happily agreed to make it. The rest of my family ordered their usual dishes and when it was time we popped down to collect it. Lovely friendly reception, food ready when stated. We sat down back at home to eat and oh my goodness! We all commented on how good it was, cooked to perfection, not oily and so, so tasty! (and also very reasonably priced). We will definitely be ordering from here from now on. Highly recommended!
Juliet P — Google review
We have been ordering our food here for years and always enjoyed it, but lately the quality of food has been a disappointment, that we have thrown it in the bin. My chicken was so dry, chewy and inedible and the sauce was tasteless.
Lisa E — Google review
Placed an order at 18:27 which stated it would be here by 18:55, spoke to the restaurant at 19:10 who told me my order had left the restaurant and would be 10-15 minutes. Then spoke to the restaurant again at 19:35 as still no sign of the food. Got a call from an unknown number at 20:15 from the delivery driver who told me he had just picked up my order and would be there within 10 minutes. Food arrived at 20:25. Just 1hr and 58 mins after placing the order. Terrible service.

Really dissapointed with Raj Cuisine. I have ordered from here a number of times and been so happy with the quality of the food. I’ve always called and ordered. This evening I went on their website to check the menu options and saw an offer they have, it clearly advertises 15% discount for collection. I called to place my order and said it’s for collection can I please have the discount, it was refused. The woman on the phone said it was 15% discount for ordering online. The website definitely does not say that. I’ve taken a screen shot and will probably report this for false advertising. I ordered somewhere else instead.

It used to be our favourite but the last 2 times we have ordered, the food has been watery and tastless. We always enjoy leftovers for breakfast but we just threw it away. Hopefully they will improve again as they used to be amazing but we won't be ordering again, any time soon.

The service is always good, food delivered promptly and hot. Really love the Biryani. To update this, on 24/10/23 there was a problem with their online ordering. Went in to sort it on the 25th. They could not have been nicer or treated me better. They were absolute stars. Food still good.

This is my go-to choice for this type of food. The guys in the restaurant are very friendly and have been helpful when necessary. Only had 1 issue out of 20+ orders, however, this was the delivery driver's mistake. I really enjoy their wonderful food.

We had a large order delivered to Martock tonight in good time and all still hot. I wanted to review which I don't normally do because we were pleasantly surprised (having read some of the reviews), that all the food was very fresh, and delicious. We had chosen seperate dishes but because it all tasted so good, we ended up sharing it all anyway! I don't normally opt for pork as I worry about receiving tough, dry or fatty meat, however, we ordered roast pork in a garlic and chilli sauce and the pork was thinly sliced and melt in the mouth and the dish included a lovely variety of fresh veggies. The noodles had a sort of smoky smell to them, which was different but we enjoyed them. The variety box included a very generous amount of food for the price and my teen daughter particularly enjoyed this part of the meal! Will be ordering again! We also liked the touch of the free fortune cookies 🙂 thank you!

Order was an hour late, called the restaurant 3 times in this time, they said it had already left so obviously when it did eventually arrive it was cold, the ribs were overcooked and dry, they had given one that was just a bone. Even my fortune cookie didn't have a fortune in it! Will be avoiding this place like the plague!

Mega Bacon roll, soft roll with oodles of bacon.plus a coffee for under £3.00 Very impressed, thankyou ladies this won't be my last visit. Perfect Early Sunday Breakfast.
Jill G — Google review
I have been a regular customer of Gregg’s, but my recent experience has left me extremely dissatisfied. I first visited the store to order two Spicy Veg Pizzas, but was told that orders for pizza were only being taken after 4 PM. I accepted that and came back later to place my order. When I returned, the lady behind the counter proceeded to make my pizzas without wearing gloves, which was concerning given hygiene standards. To make matters worse, when I received my order, the pizzas were overbaked and completely inedible. The quality was far below what I’ve come to expect from Gregg’s, and I was really disappointed by the lack of attention to detail and cleanliness. This will be my last time ordering from Gregg’s, and I will also be reporting this incident to customer support. It’s unfortunate because I’ve been a loyal customer for years, but this experience has completely changed my perception of the brand.

I love greggs and the food. But yesterday when i went, the staff gave me quite a mean response. Stating “oh my days” when i wasn’t paying attention, which was in fact not my fault. Great little pub. There was a punk/rock band on the night I was there which was great fun. There was a good crown in and everyone was very friendly. The beer was good, standard line up for a Wandsworth pub which isn’t great but not bad. I didn’t eat there so can’t comment. The landlord was a very friendly guy and was very welcoming to a bunch of out of towners who were there post the football. Would recommend stopping by.

My wife and I went in this week intending to have a few drinks. When we went in the pub it was empty. There was no central heating, just a couple of portable gas fires. I ordered a pint of thatchers gold and a glass of wine. Cost £11.60 DISGUSTING. Then their regulars came in and were charged almost half of what I paid. I will not be going in there again and definitely would NOT recommend the place. RIP OFF

I used this pub from 1977 until possibly 1984, it was a great biker pub. Always full of likeminded people who were into bikes, music and beer. That said the ‘bottom bar’ (Rotunda Bar) was a bit of a haven for the more ‘smartly dressed’. Then came the name change and ‘repositioning’, they named it ‘Buddy’s (meant to be a sort of ‘nightclub’)…….what idiot thought that was a good move? Form there on in the place was in free fall. Now it’s a sudo pub functioning as a Conservative Club. I went in yesterday, first time in nearly 40 years. It’s been destroyed, the top bar is no more. Whoever authorised the ‘refurbishment’ need taking to court for criminal damage. Sad, a great pub, ruined. On the flip side, the service was friendly.

If you're looking for a delightful dining experience, look no further than Mattia Diner. This charming eatery captures the essence of a classic 50s diner with its stunning decor and nostalgic music that transports you back in time. The food is not only served promptly but also boasts generous portions that are simply irresistible—so much so that you'll want to savor every bite!
Came here after driving past a few times and wanting to check it out and well this wasn't a regret in the slightest. The restaurant is beautifully designed, the music is amazing and gives a really sense of the 50s Diner. The food came quickly, food was delicious and huge portions so well worth the price. First time we've gone out and ate it all as it was too good to leave. Manager is also very lovely and sweet, staff are a great help as well. Definitely be visiting again on our travels 😀

This is an amazing place to stop . The food is so good,so much to choose from. The service was fast and the lady was very helpful explaining about the burgers. Inside is just like stepping back in time to the fifties Toilets were exceptionally clean. The attention to detail with the food was great. Coffee was lovely too. I would highly recommend trying this diner. They also sell a great selection of American sweets 😋
Susan B — Google review
Took my kids to **Mattia Diner** after they’d been once before with their grandparents and couldn't stop talking about the milkshakes—so we had to go back and experience it together. They each picked their favourite milkshakes again, and I have to say, they really are top-tier—thick, creamy, and full of flavour. Definitely the highlight of the visit! We all had burgers—I went for the Marilyn Monroe Classic Burger with golden fried onions. It was tasty, and you can tell some thought goes into the presentation, but I did feel the portion size was on the smaller side for the price. We also ordered garlic bread, but honestly, it was more like warm bread without much garlic flavour. The nachos were another bit of a letdown—lacking the usual cheesy, saucy toppings that make nachos a go-to snack. However, what really made the visit enjoyable was the **friendly and welcoming staff. They were great with the kids, very attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. The diner itself was super clean and had a fun, American-style atmosphere that the kids loved. We finished off the trip by letting the kids choose some of their favourite American candy to take home—which they were thrilled about. All in all, the milkshakes and service really stood out. If you're heading to Mattia Diner, I'd absolutely recommend it for the milkshakes, the experience, and the warm hospitality—just maybe skip the garlic bread and nachos next time.

Had a brilliant time here, the food was SUPERB, the atmosphere was awesome and authentic. As we went for my wife's birthday, I told them it was her birthday but didn't know if they would do anything or not but when we arrived there was banners and balloons surrounding our table, which was really nice. At the end they brought out a birthday cake, played birthday music and all the staff had party poppers, it was just brilliant and such a lovely surprise. Cannot recommend Mattia highly enough. We will certainly be back. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.

Great food, good service & well priced Imagine if you didn't know about it, you'd drive past without being the wiser. We googled places to eat o way to Devon & this turned up, and we're pleased it did. 7pm Saturday evening & easily managed to get a table

Service was good the food took a while to come out we finished our milkshakes before the food arrived. Then they took a 10% service charge which I thought was a bit much as they gave my wife the one with onions when we clearly stated it would make her ill.

We went for dinner, trying out local places having recently moved to the area. The atmosphere is nice, we wished it had been a smidge less chilly so we could have dined outside - the seating with the greenery and the lights is lovely. The menus seemed a bit used, but not dirty. Service was good, but felt awkward at times - sort of like they were unsure what to say or rather give us our space but also pop in. They were friendly though. Food service seemed quick, however we were pre dinner rush and it was also a Thursday evening. The menu seemed to have lots of options, but many of them were similar but with one variance. Something I was a little disappointed with was that although they were good, I felt myself wishing that the meat mains came with pastas instead of fries. It seemed disjointed. I got the chicken milanese which was a juicy peace of meat, but not enough sauce soaked into it. A creamy pasta side with it would have helped. My partner got pizza - he liked it, but I noticed the middle was quite soft, too soft compared to the outer edges. The deserts were lush though, drinks were nice. We plan to go back, again it wasn't terrible, just felt like some points could be improved on.

Really nice meal here, service was good. Staff was great, One waitress was really chatty the other not so maybe it was her first week at work. Food was good and it seems as if there was returning locals which was a good sign for mid week. Nice atmosphere clean and well laid out, I would recommend for sure

We stopped off in this village on our way from West Sussex to north Devon as we were looking for somewhere for lunch. As we parked our car on the road, we got talking to a local couple about where they would recommend for lunch. They suggested that we try this place. And I'm glad they did. We walked over to the restaurant and, on entering my heart sank. We were greeted with the spectacle of at least 50 people who seemed to be from somewhere like the local Rotary club. It was loud but my main concern, which I shared with a young lady waitress, was whether they would cope in the kitchen with the high demand. She looked a little confused but convinced me that there would be no problem. She turned out to be right! Anyway, taking her at her word, we made our way into the delightful covered, outside area and chose a table as far away from the other diners as possible. We got served by a number of young ladies who did a great job of quickly getting our drinks and our Diavola pizzas. Three pizzas for the 4 of us. These also came surprisingly quickly. They were delicious! I finished off the meal with a welcoming double espresso and then we were ready to continue our journey north and West. I paid Simona just over £50 for the complete lunch. We really enjoyed the whole experience and are happy to recommend this place to others!

Not the great time here, waited ages to be served and the pub only had a few customers. The cook wasn’t cooked properly and the light above was just bizarre. Staff were friendly so that’s something positive

Overall nice pub. Great atmosphere with loads of small screened individually decorated areas containing only a few tables, Nice variety of pub food and good value breakfast, continental choices and simple flexible style full English breakfast (just select the components, and they are cooked fresh and served quickly). No other choices like Benedict, salmon etc, just full English. Could no with some minor refresh, some of the seats had worn fabric and the entry was a bit shabby but overall great place to meet a few friends over a meal and a drink.

We visited recently with my brother and his wife. We booked online and requested a table by the window, but we needn't have worried as we were the only customers in when we arrived. We were warmly greeted at the door and shown to our table by the window. The waitress came and advised us that there were a number of dishes that were unavailable and then she took our order and the food arrived within 20 minutes, the peas looked a little wrinkly as if they had been sat under the heat lamp for a while, yet they were still quite juicy inside. The meals were very acceptable, just the right amount to fill you without bursting you. Service overall was very good and efficient, if I was in the area I would be happy to return. On a note about the facilities, the Disabled toilet facilities are right by the front door, not the one to the rear of the building as that has no disabled facilities and there are a few disabled parking spaces right outside the door.

Recently went to this pub for food, asked if food was available as pub was empty. Response yes we're doing food but we have gathering coming in so there would be a wait for food not what you want to hear when the pubs empty. So left without eating, probably won't return as you didn't want my business.

Visited with family 3 adults 2 children. Ordered glass of wine, a beer. a coke and 2 fantas. Food was mixed grill with cheesy chips. Haddock and chips, 12 crunch wings, side of corn riblets, and a chicken and ribs. Food delivered, fish and chips was only warm. sent back the ribs came without the chicken which was coming, by the time fish and chips arrived, still no chicken, when asked again about it , reply was chef forgot it!!!! Told discount on bill for warm food, when bill given was charged for something we didn't get, also about missing chicken a further discount. Not overly impressed with the food. Staff very nice. Manager very helpful. Did notice an other table speaking to him as well. So obviously there were other problems

Nice and spacious, we had a all you can eat breakfast there as part of the Premier Inn stay. We went in at 8am so we the place is pretty quiet. Waitresses were attentive, and food was bought out to you. Kids enjoyed the American styled pancakes, cereals and the adults went with the cooked breakfast. Which was hot and hasn't been sitting under a heat lamp too long so sausages were meaty and juicy. Bacon a little dry. The rest was fine, good enough quality and very filling. Poached eggs were definitely better than the fried. All it is was missing was a fried bread 😋

There are public toilets available. There are sanitation station located throughout the restaurant. Not too crowded and great atmosphere. There is parking nearby at Star Lane car parking. Whoke day parking costs £4.30 from Mon to Sat and free on Sunday.Gave 4 stars because we paid via Love2Shop vouchers which was not executed professionally and not accepted. Definitely recommended. Update - 29/12/2021: Another poor experience, we were almost turned away despite booking online, I think there was an issue with the online bookings coming through to the restaurant. Still not enough staff on duty, only 2 chefs and 2 servers, and even though the restaurant wasn't that full, they clearly couldn't cope. The food was ok, just a shame the experience was let down by the service..... again! Original review: Oh dear, where do I start? Normally I am a fan of Yeovil Beefeater, but lockdown has obviously not been kind, all new staff and unfortunately an all new low in service and quality. 1) The Manager checking people in was not welcoming at all, visibly annoyed if people hadn't booked (we had), did not ask if we had a reward card, and was more concerned about me proving I had checked in with NHS Covid app. 2) The restaurant was not that busy, with probably no more than 10 separate parties, however the service was still very slow and I witnessed multiple people complaining about this, the fact that some people on their table got their breakfasts and had finished before the rest of their table even got theirs. The standard response from the Manager was they were very busy, but they just weren't coping well). 3) The speed of service was obviously not helped by the fact most of the time we were there, there was only one grill chef trying to prepare all the food; our cooked breakfast took half an hour to arrive at our table. 4) We ordered hash browns with our breakfast, which we didn't get, but no explanation was given as to why until I raised it. 5) No one asked us how our meals were. 6) No one asked us if we wanted anything else at any point. 7) I asked at 11:05 if we could order some continental food as no one had asked us if we wanted anything else, only to be told everything has been 'packed away' and we couldn't have anything else. When I pointed out no one had offered us anything else, the waitress went off and returned with one pain ou chocolat and one croissant in a bowl and just put them on the table, no offer of butter, jam, knife, etc. 8) The food was just about adequate, but the sausages were more like chipolatas, so glad we all ordered a couple. I know it's good value at £8.99 with kids eat free, but I certainly wouldn't describe it as 'all you can eat' and that doesn't excuse basic customer service and standards!

Good menu choices. Clear what is suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Competitive pricing. Clean and organised. Attentive staff. Pizza, calzone and risotto good, and mozzarella garlic bread. Tried cocktails, very good and Rose wine. Family friendly. Accessible street entrance. Good space inside. Local parking but no car park with restaurant but it is fairly central.

Food was good. Service was horrible. They forgot to bring me my drink, after bringing everyone else theirs. They forgot to give me the appropriate cutlery to eat steak, despite giving it to everyone else at the table. A waitress spilled beer on my hair and down my shirt. Nothing so much as an apology. I only resisted the urge to make a scene because we were there to celebrate our friends getting married. I would give it a zero stars for service if possible.

Today was the second visit in the week. Sunday lunch today, which was epic. Best Sunday lunch I ever had. Legends for staff. Photos of the visit attached. Only one thing, the table was booked for noon, but the young lady came to our table at 1.25 and asked us to leave, as the table was booked for someone else. I hadn't even finished the coffee. I had to race the coffee and leave, having paid for the best meal. If you're on the hunt for a delightful fish and chips experience, look no further than Palmers Fish & Chips. This establishment beautifully blends traditional charm with a modern twist, offering both dine-in and takeaway options to suit your preference. During my visit, I opted for takeaway and was pleasantly surprised by the quick service despite a bustling crowd—about 15 minutes wait time as they prepared everything fresh.
First time trying palmers fish and chip shop very polite lady (Charlotte) served us today hubby had fish and chips I had chips and a battered sausage. Fish was beautifully cooked batter crispy but not overcooked or greasy chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside perfectly cooked golden brown and hubby loves your curry sauce definitely recommend 10/10
Su P — Google review
The fish was fresh and had a nice crispy batter, and the chips were hot with a decent portion size. The service was okay, though quick during the busy hours. Prices were not reasonable, but the food could’ve used a bit more tasty. Overall, it’s a decent spot if you’re craving traditional fish and chips, but not the best I’ve ever had. In restaurant they can be more helpful, I felt like not welcoming for next time.

Decided to finally try this chippy, food was good until I cut into one of my sausages and there was something green in the meat. It wasn’t mushy pea’s. It turned my stomach and couldn’t eat anymore, did report to the staff and only my food was refunded. I don’t think I’ll be back. You can see the green difference from the picture with actual peas

Great place to stop on the way back from south coast. Excellent, piping hot fish and chips. Good portion size, so value for money. Efficient, fast service from friendly staff. Didn't use the resturant attached, so unable to comment on atmosphere but it is very popular, evident from several visits this summer. Highly recommend Palmers. Thank you.
Robert H — Google review
A modern, yet classy chippy experience? I ask/say this as an American... it seemed to be both a taste of old school fish n chips spot, yet modern fusion eatery. It had 2 sides, restaurant and then take away. The food comes from both, it's just your option. Pulling in for our decided take away, we worried about the wait, line was out the door with hungry ppl, but it wasn't too terrible, maybe 15 mins? Granted it seems we just happened to be on a moment that chips ran out and all made fresh. Service was relatively friendly and quick, serving portions were large, prices good for such. I got the haddock fish, but ended up trying the cod as well. Also mozzarella sticks with bbq. The chips were amazing, the classic sort I'm told, very 'moreish' and the serving was a mountain of them. At the counter there was salt and vinegar going and people shaking them in bags. Very cool, would eat here again. Only gave a 4 because unless I'm wrong, the same menu is for both sides and to sit down and get the same options seems a little lazy, but then again, I'll change that rating if I go back and am wrong. :)
Heather L — Google review
The review is for takeaway. Nice enough place. Good amount of chips for £2.90 although little excessive with the little tiny crunch chips. I don't mind a few but this was too much. Chips were also a little over done. Sausage was standard chippy but nice enough.

The Masons Arms is a charming 13th-century inn located in the serene village of Knowstone. This quaint thatched pub offers simple yet comfortable rooms and traditional dining with a complimentary breakfast. The establishment prides itself on serving Michelin-starred food, featuring locally sourced produce with a delightful French influence. Run by Mark & Sarah Dodson, the restaurant presents a seasonal Modern-British menu crafted from the finest ingredients.
Stopped in the campervan on the bank holiday weekend. The pub is clean and very dog friendly. They also have a dedicated dog walking compound which is awesome. Two toilets for the camping field but they ran out of toilet roll a couple of times despite only 50% of pitches being used. Food looks nice but a little pricey. Unfortunately the food had finished on the Sunday as the times were not consistent with the website. The staff were really friendly and everything was really clean. BTW it is a tight entrance for larger Motorhomes but long wheelbase Campers are fine. One Motorhome had to reverse in and out of site. I would stay again.

We camped here and it was very quiet so we got to pick our pitch. Bathrooms were very clean and showers were hot and clean. The bar staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was asked for as an additional extra and they were very happy to oblige. We enjoyed some local beers in the bar and then had a great night's sleep in the peaceful campsite. We will be back next year. Thank you!

Enjoyed a peaceful stay Mon to Fri in the campsite behind this quaint thatched pub in a beautiful village 20 mins from Ilminster with my husband & 2 dogs. The village road and turn in were tight with parked cars for our 2.3m x 7.4m motorhome but more easily doable than I was expecting from other reviews. (I found it easier if approached with the pub on the right) There are 14 pitches, some hard standing, all quite close together if it was busy, a nice enclosed dog area, communal fire pit and some picnic benches. The 2 push button showers are basic, flood (don't leave anything on the floor) and aren't particularly clean but they do get to a nice temperature. We paid £29 a night in May for hard standing and EHU and think that the showers need an upgrade, the pitches better spaced and the grass mowed at this price point but as we mostly had the place to ourselves we had a lovely relaxing time in a beautiful place. Enjoyed a nice meal in the pub and few drinks in the lovely beer garden, staff and locals were friendly and welcoming. *To the local couple I overheard debating my gender the woman was right (obviously😉) I am a female who had to have a double masectomy this year, doesn't feel the need to wear prosthetics, and drives better than most men so I understand your confusion 🤣

Wonderful establishment! Timing = Perfect Pricing = Appropriate Food = Delicious Chef Harvey (?) gave us an extra treat and served us within 15 mins of ordering food, what a hard worker, the staff were heavily overwhelmed but delivered wonderful drinks within a short amount of time. Wonderful establishment, would definitely recommend.

Great pub with fantastic food and staff. We stayed in the campsite but wasn't impressed. There are 2 showers and 2 toilets and when we stayed, it was quite busy. One toilet became blocked which meant 1 toilet between about 30 people! Also there was a lack of toilet roll so ended up buying our own. On our last day, the owner let someone pitch on the road onto the site which made it tricky to drive off the site and upset other campers next to the road.

I had booked an overnight stay at the Masons Arms but when I arrived there was a sign saying Temporarily closed due to unforeseen circumstances. No contact before or after which is disappointing. It’s not the most convenient of locations as it’s at least 3 miles out of the centre but luckily, one of the other guests had arrived around the same time and gave me a lift back into the centre where I could find other accommodation. Not sure how long I would have been waiting for another taxi back otherwise.

Dropped into this pub for the first time this afternoon for a drink. Having looked at the menu we thought the food sounded great. We asked the barman whether we needed to book a table for later. He checked the computer and said no as they only had one booking. We went back later that evening only to be told that several things were off the menu due to supplier issues and then when we went to order the bartender told us that he was shutting the kitchen because they had run out of food. We were quite disappointed as they could have told us about the ‘supplier issues’ earlier when we asked about booking and we wouldn’t have gone.

We stayed here for bed and breakfast. The pub was very popular for food but we went to the other local for dinner. Breakfast was very good. What was less good was the fact that rooms and bed provision weren’t as described, leaving one of our party having to have a very uncomfortable nights sleep on a temporary bed because we were a bed short for our party of seven. In the room I stayed in the shower didn’t work (broken heater element suspected) and we had no hot water. Thankfully we only stayed one night. Bathroom light above sink not working too. Room pretty basic and bed not the most comfortable. Should have stayed in the other pub and eaten here possibly?! The mystical manager seemed to stay well out of it leaving the staff unsupported to make amends in a timely fashion. Nice location however. When booking a room you kind of expect the ability to have a hot shower or bath and to sleep on a proper bed. Missing one is bad enough but getting both wrong for us is pretty dire surely?! Get some maintenance done and get your organisational skills in order and this could be top notch. Far from it presently however…

We popped in recently for a quick lunch, having visited the beautiful Montacute House. Service was friendly and efficient despite the staff being busy with lunch service. The food was freshly made and tasty. My husband had the fish finger sandwich, which was a tasty homemade fillet in batter ( not your shop bought fish fingers!). He thoroughly enjoyed it. Prices were also reasonable for a touristy area. We'd definitely return and recommend. Thank you.

Went in today for Sunday lunch, the food was fantastic, the service was faultless, the manager Chris made us feel welcome. All staff were great. Didn’t rush us and also didn’t leave us waiting forever between courses. Best meal, service and relaxed atmosphere I’ve had dining out for a while.

Room was very basic, no coathangers or drawers for unpacking had to live out of suitcase. Toilet seat broken and did not fit, bed very soft but linen good quality and spotless. Bathroom room not very clean but shower hot and good pressure. Would not return I'm afraid.

Pretty pub with proper dining room. Really cozy. Food good - above pub standard. Staff kind and genuine

We had a great meal at the Kings Arms with friendly service and a nice range of local beers and gins. Dog friendly in the restaurant, too!

I've been only in the pub for few hours and I'd say is very nice and cosy place. Worth stopping by if you're in the area.
