Great for evrybody from small babies to elderly /lots of attractions for evrybody /fake waves /aerobic /jacuzzi. Clean place .parking for all day next to it for 5 euro .
So we are from the UK. We needed something fun and to stay cool in the hot weather. This is a Family Water park for all ages. You need to get at least two chairs if there are 4-5 of you but you must pay for all members. Parking is easy and cost us €5. Get here early. If you book online and want to party with loud music and fun, choose the main pool. If you’re not such a party animal look for the smaller pool, but you will hear music and an MC. Don’t panic they have a 2h break. The Italians know how to have fun and everyone joins in. The main pool has a wave for about 5min every hour. The rides are easy and well managed. Remember it’s a small family run park and it’s there so you can have a splash and some fun. There is a cafe which is ok for snacks and some Italian espresso! Go for the self catered section for lunch as there is a wide range of food there and you get good portions. People were friendly and helpful even though we couldn’t speak Italian. We used a hire car to get there, but there is a shuttle bus from the train station. The ques for the slides for fair and no que jumpers. The lifeguards were good as well. Book the day before is recommended. We all had fun and loved everyone’s ability to join in with the dancing and singing. Music is very loud, which is perfect for a pool party atmosphere. Remember they have a quiet time for 2h for lunch. Everyone had fun and the park was perfectly safe and friendly. Remember to buy a hat. Maybe a yellow or red one if you want to stand out ! lol . They even played Christmas songs and had a Father Christmas! Don’t you just love Italy!
Great day out in the shadow of Vesuvius. Once we negotiated the booking system with the helpful staff using WhatsApp communication our visit was quickly arranged. If you want a lounger per person it will cost a little more and you need to book adjacent umbrella areas, but ideally, you spend as much time in the pool or on slides so you don't need the loungers. The nearest station is Ville delle Ginestre on the Circumvesuviana line and then a 15-minute uphill walk - some of which can feel a little hair-raising as the paths disappear and you walk on the road. There are plenty of food and drink choices and spaces to eat, including beer, arancini and doughnuts. It is clean and feels safe for children to enjoy fully, and there are lots of helpful staff around. 8 main slides and waves in the main pool once an hour provides plenty of entertainment. Great shoulder massage to be had in the hydro-massage area. All in all a good value day out for us to relax 😌
I had a great experience at Valle dell’Orso. Although I couldn’t book online for the same day, the staff replied quickly on WhatsApp and told me I could come directly. When we arrived, the shuttle driver kindly stopped for us and offered a ride. At the entrance there was no waiting, tickets were easy, and the staff were very friendly. The park is clean, well organized, with a beautiful setting of the mountain behind and the sea in front, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Valle dell’Orso to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, and family-friendly day out. It is the perfect mix of nature, good atmosphere, and excellent hospitality. 🌟
The park is quite small and crowded. The waves in the pool last just 5 minutes. The personnel was kind and helpful. The slides are very crowded with long wait times.
We had a great time! We are a family with a 5 and I year old. I think it was ideal for these them. The staff was very helpful and the team really knew how to have a good time and get the people involved in activities.
Beautiful place for a great day out. Kids had an absolutely amazing time. Clean, not too crowded and with easy parking (paid separately).
Fun acqua park for all ages. There's a section where small kids can play and another for everyone else. There's around 7 different water slides- the newest - Bumblebee. There's a pool with waves( about every hour) and hydro-massage where there's entertainment for everyone, mainly dancing and games.( about every hour as well). Very clean, enough staff- friendly and helpful. Food can be purchased inside and you can also bring your own from home and eat it in the picnic area. It's a bit expensive, around 60€ for a family of 4( 2 adults and 2 children) July and around 70€ in August. My daughter's love it and I enjoy it as well, love doing the group dances and relaxing on the hydro-massage area.

Nice place for a walk or having a coffee. From here you can see the Vesuvio and take really nice pictures!
Busy local port located a short distance off the Autostrada. Very friendly locals. Driving is hectic in Torre if your unfamiliar as streets aren’t wide & quite a lot of cars & bikes.
Stayed here in a boat rough seas even in the harbour very pretty especially at sunset
So beautiful place for rest and enjoying time.
The boardwalk was nice. Great restaurants nearby. Very loud because of construction.

I saw the cinder cone on Google maps and went for a journey to see it. I visited when the gate was open and the cathedral was closed. So I took numerous photos, but upon my exit, the gate was closed. Scaling a ten foot gate was easy, thanks to a tall, limber frame, with good footholds. Great photography is possible here, mainly of the bay.
Very good location top of the hill overlooking Napoli
(Translated by Google) An enchanting place where you can spend a few hours enjoying a breathtaking view, over the entire Gulf of Naples, and the Sorrento coast, from Procida to Capri, and Vesuvius behind you! Mass celebrations are available on public holidays, and if you are lucky you may find some ceremonies. There is a large free car park at the entrance and water and coffee dispensers on the porch before entering the church! I recommend it for taking breathtaking photos especially on days where there is no haze!

The structure is almost completely accessible by wheelchair from the parking lot to the panoramic terrace, while the church has a staircase in the main entrance, I don't know if it has another more accessible entrance. The road to get there by car is a little inconvenient.

In ancient times the hill was dedicated to S. Michele Arcangelo. In 1600 some Camaldolese monks arrived there and then it became the hill of the Camaldoli for everyone. In the 1950s the Redemptorist fathers, an order founded by St. Alfonso Maria de' Liguori, settled in the place, restoring the ancient church and building a seminary next door where future missionary fathers would be trained. Since then the site has been called Colle di S. Alfonso. The church, due to its panoramic and green position, is chosen by many for weddings and other celebrations and is a frequent destination for religious tourism. Open every day for many hours, it is a welcoming and very serene place.
(Translated by Google) The hill is of volcanic origins and has hosted a chapel dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel and called Monte Sant'Angelo since 1500. Documentation attesting to the presence of a small hemispherical temple guarded by an adjoining "building" which served as a lazaretto during illnesses and contagious diseases also dates back to the same period. In 1600 a community of Neapolitan Camaldolese Fathers settled on the hill and in 1700 the structure of the church was expanded by the monks and the large church was built, also building the quadrilateral currently existing outside the church. Subsequently the property passed into the hands of private individuals and, furthermore, the events of the Second World War reduced it to a pile of ruins. Around 1950, however, it was purchased by the Redemptorist Fathers of S. Alfonso Maria De Liguori who, by restoring the structure and constructing a large building intended for the training of future Redemptorist missionaries, revalued the structure, bringing it back to its ancient splendors. The church is very large and still beautiful, located in a strategic point overlooking the entire city of Torre del Greco with the Gulf of Naples behind it. It is an area rich in history and artistic beauty and should be visited.

Very beautiful Basilica. It is notable for the San Vicente Romano, for the procession of the Virgin on Dec 7 but it is worth going just for the stations of the Cross. They are amazing!
Great pizza and atmosphere. This felt like a place the locals prefer to go to.
Beautiful stop in such an interesting city. This is worth your while if you're wandering around Torre Del Greco, completely mesmerizing.
Beautiful church with very white interior. The Jesus' way of the cross of Giuseppe Ciavolino is an original way to connect story of past and style of present day.

1998 visit, very close to Vesuvius, great view of the sea, the broom, and sad to see where Giacomo died.
The "Villa Ferrigni (now called Villa delle Ginestre), is an historical house/residence in Torre del Greco. This 18-century villa was where the poet Giacomo Leopardi moved, outside the city of Naples, when the cholera epidemic broke out; and, since 2006, it has been home to the La Ginestra Leopardi Prize (a prize a warded to individuals who have distinguished themselves through their studies in the analysis, study, and dissemination of Giacomo Leopardi's poetry).

There is still a lot to do: starting from the renovation of both the external and internal rooms and the actual weekly maintenance that a villa like this cannot fail to have. Having said this, it is one of the most beautiful villas in the Vesuvian area, in particular in Torre del Greco. The Torre proloco, in fact, is organizing various events to promote the visit to the villa and today 12 May 2024 I was right there for a very interesting food and wine event, where a complete visit to the villa was carried out and then it was possible to taste one of Leopardi's favorite dishes, given that it was the villa where he lived in the last years of his life, gnocchi stuffed with provola cheese and piennolo tomato (a connoisseur I would say!), accompanied by wine produced by a local winery with vineyards on Vesuvius. The opportunity to participate in this initiative will last every Sunday in May and June at the price of €10. To spend a pleasant and relaxing morning, I highly recommend it!
(Translated by Google) This villa certainly deserves a better present. From a historical point of view it is a place of pride for the Vesuvian villages. The place where the 'exterminator Vesevo' lines were composed perhaps deserves different attention. From the outside the villa is very beautiful, but it doesn't take much to notice the elements of abandonment. At the moment the proposed offer is not in line with the €5 required for the ticket. I hope that with the new interventions planned for 2024, this place can blossom again, offering the population and tourists an opportunity to appreciate and experience Leopardi's poetry.

Great little park not that many slides but worth the visit. Don't rely on the turd of a shuttle driver though he'd sooner watch reruns of serie A on YouTube than get you to your train
Beautiful place for a great day out. Kids had an absolutely amazing time. Clean, not too crowded and with easy parking (paid separately).
For a more restful day, this water park is perfect. You get reallocated loungers which is a great bonus! These loungers can be selected based on your need so for example, if you want the kids pool, you get loungers there. There are some wicked slides for kids of all ages and probably the biggest attraction is the wave pool which I believe happens every 30 minutes. You'll know because they have a dj and person on the mic who hypes up the crowd. The negative would be the food, it's not great or much choice.
Good value and lots of fun. The only downside is that the waterslides aren't great. Some are really slow. But, the queues were quick moving.

(Translated by Google) The church of Madonna del Principi is located near the port and was built around the original votive shrine of the Virgin Mary, dating back to the 12th century. The latter was built near the sea and was immediately a point of reference for the many sailors who sailed the treacherous waves of the sea. This church holds an extraordinary testimony to the eruption of June 1794, when the lava from Vesuvius forcefully hit the city of coral, leaving traces in the urban fabric and in popular memory that are still vivid, in fact during this event the church was completely submerged by the lava. All the artistic and religious testimonies, all the symbols of the great popular devotion that over time had enriched this place with meaning, the ancient aedicule containing the painting of the Madonna del Principio, all swept away by the impetuous awakening of the volcano. However, the Zoccolanti monastery, built on the hill behind the church, was saved and from here someone glimpsed small flames rising from the ashes. The popular tale of religious inspiration has the Madonna who, rising in vision, indicates where to carry out the excavation to find the ancient church. Thanks to the commitment and devotion of the people, the excavation began among the now solidified lava the remains of the church begin to reappear. Fragments of columns reappear, remains of the beautiful majolica floors of the Neapolitan school, parts of the structure of the building incorporated into the lava material. But the biggest surprise, which left the explorers speechless, was the discovery of the ancient fresco of the central altar, miraculously bypassed and spared by the force of the lava. The church of Santa Maria del Principio was reborn when San Vincenzo Romano, a great human and religious figure of the coral city, decided to rebuild it, as he had already done with the basilica of Santa Croce. He deserves the great credit of having been able to convey the great desire for rebirth of the Torrese people and of having also made these reconstruction projects financially possible. In a short time a new church was reborn containing in its belly the ancient altar and what remains of the ancient church. In more recent times, the passionate and qualified research and excavation work of Don Nicola Ciavolino, assistant parish priest of the church and a figure of great cultural importance, has made it possible to reinvigorate attention towards this testimony of the past and since 2013, the association " Wesuvio" and the parish priest Don Luigi Magliulo, with the contribution of other enthusiasts, have undertaken a process of valorisation of the site by proposing guided tours and events with the aim of making known to an increasingly public wider this important testimony of Vesuvian history.

Joseph is amazing! Friendly, nice and very helpful. The food and drinks were delicious-excellent place to spend the day!
20 euro for the 2 beds and umbrella. Not a crowded place. A bit dirty sea. Lifegourd and fine drinks in bar. This place is ok :) shower and toilet is included. Parking is also for the money
Very nice place, good price/quality. It was a quiet day so we could enjoy it even more. Service is good, we will come back.
Very nice place, the staff and the owner was so nice and welcomed us very well , for a day of relax in the sun, very low prices for a beautiful location.
A bit expensive for what it is, but cleaner beach than around.
The beach is lovely, with clean sand and safe (but very shallow) swimming area. The team was polite. 10 euros for a chair with umbrella is a bit much in off-season and in an unpleasant neighbourhood, but not too bad. The worst part was lunch. Part of the reason I came was the good value, well-reviewed pasta, but when I tried to order it, they refused. I wasn’t given a reason but told I could only have a sandwich. This small, funny-smelling cheese and tomato sandwich cost me more than the pasta would have been. I learned from other visitors that the team had discussed making the pasta in Italian in front of me, but decided they couldn’t be bothered to make just one portion. Can’t recommend.
A very nice and cordial staff that makes you feel very welcomed here. The beach is very nice, has black volcanic sand, and is very well organized and equipped. The prices for sun-beds, umbrellas and drinks on the bar are very pleasant. Highly recommended.
It is in a stunning location, the views are stunning. The whole of the bay of Naples with Capri and lschia is in full view. Behind the formidable, but silent giant, Vesuvius rises to the sky. Safe swimming and sunbathing with a comprehensive but sensibly priced bar. Toilets: clean. Good changing facilities on site etc. It is run by a lovely family and we have met them all during out stay near by.

We had a great day here. The beach is quiet and clean.
Private beach with volcanic sand, paid 6 € for a lounge chair, 6€ for the umbrella and 2€ to enter the beach. The sand area was clean but the water was full of plastic. The beach was full of people. You could bring your own food but you have here a cafe. The cheapest place arround but is not worth it
Very clean place, staff is friendly, worth a visit if you are around there. Better than the open beach.
Great beach with black sand. Great for families.
There is no place at all. A person is beside a person. Water is dirty.

Starting with the limited variety of food this place offers, and the prices are objectively too high for the quality. The service was extremely confusing and slow. But I'd like to point out how absurd our experience became when we went to get our car from the restaurant's parking lot. First of all, unfortunately, the parking lot is quite a distance from the restaurant, in a dark alley with no lighting whatsoever. The valet told us it was open until 2:00 AM. We went to get our car at 1:30 AM after chatting outside for half an hour after we'd left. We were "greeted" by this elderly man who started yelling at us that we weren't staying at Terrazza Mare and that he would close the gate without letting us take our car. In the meantime, we had paid €3 per car for parking. What can I say? It was all absurd and borderline decency. Learn to treat the customers who come to you and pay dearly for terrible service. (Original) Sono stata ieri sera presso TERRAZZA MARE insieme ad altre sei mie amiche. Esperienza pessima!

Fading glory. So beautiful. When I went in (5pm Saturday) I was the only tourist there for a while. Napoli is great for these gems. Fascinating history and well worth the effort to get there. I really enjoyed the 'miracle drawings' in one of the back galleries (naive-style paintings documenting miracles of survival by particular saints from the 1940s to, it seems, the 1970s). I dont know why they stopped being made.
I was guided by the tower that can be seen over the buildings and I found this gem. The level of 13th-century detail is overwhelming. Free admission. If you visit it, keep in mind that it is open in the first part of the day and in the evening hours.
I must admit I wasn't expecting such a richly decorated interior, when I approached it. One of the most beautiful ones we found in Naples, especially when it comes to the ceiling. It's also one of the oldest. The area unfortunately doesn't have much of it's former glory and it's a little run down, with many immigrants sitting at the plaza next to it, when we were there.
Impressive church. Close to the sea.
Stayed nearby and wanted to visit few times, but it always happened to be the time of the mass or between the opening hours. But I saw the charitable work they do by giving out food for the less fortunate, and that is as impressive as beautifully decorated church.
Richly decorated church of the "brown madonna". Free entry. Good for a quick stop.
in a nut shell, Absolutely beautiful, well worth a visit the pictures cannot do the scale of Santa Maria justice.
A really impressive (slightly leaning) tower, which can be seen from far-and-wide.

(Translated by Google) The Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie is located at the entrance to the city at the Porta di Capo Torre. It was built together with the monastery on a small promontory located not far from what was at the time the inhabited center of the city of Torre del Greco towards the end of 1500 by the Minor Observant friars, who were also called "Zoccolanti" due to the type of footwear they wore. The church, which since its origins was consecrated to the "Madonna della Grazie", represented the place of aggregation and prayer for elderly monks. As happened with most of the churches in Torre and more generally with the historic buildings of the city, the fate of the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie was marked by the eruption of Vesuvius in 1794. During the eruption, the igneous lava demolished the nearby Porta di Capo Torre, reaching the church and the convent, raising the ground level. The Friars remained there until 1800, when they decided to leave permanently. From 1825 the convent, at the request of the Priest Pasquale Lombardo to King Ferdinand I, became the seat of the "Visitation Retreat", an association with the aim of welcoming young people left orphaned following the eruption. In the years following the eruption, the remaining upper part was renovated and the upper window was transformed into the current entrance door; in 1930 it was embellished with evocative frescoes, which had as their subjects episodes from the life of the Madonna, the Evangelists and angels. In 1948 it then became a parish under the guidance of parish priest D'Amato. In recent years the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie has been led by excellent parish priests like Don. Alfonso Punzo and Don Antonio Smarrazzo, who is the current parish priest. The convent, however, following the eruption of 1861 was destined to host a municipal nursery school and subsequently during the early 1900s it became a meeting place for young people both during the summer and winter periods. After that it was completely closed to the public and its management and maintenance became the sole responsibility of the nuns. The monastery is an imposing structure rich in history, both cultural and artistic, in fact it preserves a magnificent cloister on the ground floor, in which there is also a small well. Inside the various halls, corridors and rooms there are several frescoes dating back to the 18th century, depicting episodes from the life of Saint Francis of Assisi which, with appropriate restoration, would represent an immense artistic heritage for the city of Torre del Greco. Nowadays, unfortunately, the monastery is completely closed and it is not possible to access it, lying in a state of complete abandonment and decay... I hope that something can be done to safeguard the convent and refurbish it, thus making it one of the most beautiful and important monuments of our city.

Amen 🙏

(Translated by Google) I was able to visit the Baronial Palace during the Holy Night. We were accompanied by the guide who explained everything in a simple and exhaustive way. After entering, we went upstairs by climbing the large staircase at the entrance. We visited the main rooms of the building, including the mayor's room and the room where the municipal council meets. I don't know if anyone remembers it but, with great affection (and a pinch of nostalgia), I remember when the building was still in a state of abandonment and, in the space in front, the Sunday market was organized with many stalls. I remember it because I went with my grandfather. There was also an epitaph which, after the renovation works, was moved to where the fountain is now. However, certainly, one of the "highlights" of the Palace is the beautiful panorama that can be admired at the end of the corridor. You can see Naples and see the port of Torre. Thanks to the union and all the organizers for this great opportunity.
(Translated by Google) Unfortunately, the current state of the building (externally it is dilapidated), reflects the soul of the city, dirty, decay almost everywhere. It should be the city's calling card, but it leaves something to be desired. Internally the situation is better, with the large veranda with columns, where you can admire the view from above.
(Translated by Google) The palace has an interesting history that dates back to Queen Giovanna d'Angiò who donated it to her to pay off the debts of her lover Sergianni Caracciolo. Caracciolo passed it to Carafa again for debts, later it became the property of the curia. During the years of Aragonese domination, it was in the palace that Alfonso the magnanimous and the beautiful Lucrezia D'Alagno from Torre met. The feudal property becomes public through a ransom paid by the Torresi citizens.
