The Archaeological Park of Herculaneum is a site that preserves the remains of the ancient city destroyed by Mount Vesuvius. It is part of a larger group of attractions in Naples and its surroundings. The park offers a unique insight into the daily life and culture of the ancient inhabitants through its excavations and precious artifacts. The Archaeological Museum of Herculaneum holds an exceptional collection that further enriches visitors' understanding of this civilization.
Well worth a visit. Much quieter and more intimate than Pompeii with many artefacts still in situ. The site is very well preserved and easy to navigate. I recommend hiring the audio tour which explains everything in detail as you walk around the site. Note that there are still excavations here, so there is more to discover in future. Allow at least two hours for your visit, preferably more. It’s so beautiful you need time to take it all in.
Gillian M — Google review
This is a very interesting and quite emotional place to visit. Although smaller then Pompeii the dramatic scenes witnessed were more than worth the visit. The location is about a 20 minute walk from Portico station or less than 10 minutes from Ercolano station. All the staff were well informed and extremely helpful. Although there is a lot of restoration work ongoing, we found plenty to take our attention for nearly 3 hours, even in the heavy rain. We recommend booking your tickets in advance and just getting your train tickets from the stations.

Amazing site! Smaller than Pompeii but much better preserved — you can still see wooden doors, mosaics, and even ancient food storage areas. It feels more intimate and easier to explore without big crowds. Highly recommend visiting with a guide — they tell incredible stories that bring the ancient city to life. A must-see for history lovers!
Kasemsan P — Google review
aller and quieter than Pompeii, but incredibly well preserved — wooden doors, mosaics, and even food remains still visible. Walking through the ancient streets feels like stepping straight into Roman daily life. The site is compact, easy to explore in a few hours, and beautifully maintained. Bring water and good shoes, as there’s little shade. A haunting, unforgettable glimpse into history frozen in time.
Neek D — Google review
A must see! Herculaneum is a really well preserved little town, lost to us on the same day as Pompeii. In many ways it is similar to Pompeii, but there are a few exceptions. The town, as a whole, is better preserved, so it feels more like you are walking g through a living place. There are more items in situ, which makes the visit less up and down. It is less busy with tourists, which is obviously better for a number of reasons. It is much smaller and so you can see everything, at a leisurely pace, in about 2 hours. A wonderful experience, if you like history it is highly recommended.
Drew Y — Google review
The preservation of this site is incredible. The culture and civilisation is so visible, one can easily sense how the way of life was here. Not so much different from ours today, bars, tightly knit communities, fast food takeaway and luxury properties for the high ranking and rich!
Lesley S — Google review
Absolutly well worth a visit. I've been to Pompeii several times but I'm getting older and suffering arthritis. Herculaneum is much smaller but so much easier to get around. It's well preserved but the best bit is the boat shed area. Save that until the end. Official parking right beside the entrance and at the time of my visit just 2 euro per hour.
Domenico M — Google review
Amazing place to visit, less busy than nearby Pompeii and very well preserved. Would recommend a guided tour to bring it to life. Very easily accessed by the train, 10 minute walk from station to the site.

(Translated by Google) The church of Madonna del Principi is located near the port and was built around the original votive shrine of the Virgin Mary, dating back to the 12th century. The latter was built near the sea and was immediately a point of reference for the many sailors who sailed the treacherous waves of the sea. This church holds an extraordinary testimony to the eruption of June 1794, when the lava from Vesuvius forcefully hit the city of coral, leaving traces in the urban fabric and in popular memory that are still vivid, in fact during this event the church was completely submerged by the lava. All the artistic and religious testimonies, all the symbols of the great popular devotion that over time had enriched this place with meaning, the ancient aedicule containing the painting of the Madonna del Principio, all swept away by the impetuous awakening of the volcano. However, the Zoccolanti monastery, built on the hill behind the church, was saved and from here someone glimpsed small flames rising from the ashes. The popular tale of religious inspiration has the Madonna who, rising in vision, indicates where to carry out the excavation to find the ancient church. Thanks to the commitment and devotion of the people, the excavation began among the now solidified lava the remains of the church begin to reappear. Fragments of columns reappear, remains of the beautiful majolica floors of the Neapolitan school, parts of the structure of the building incorporated into the lava material. But the biggest surprise, which left the explorers speechless, was the discovery of the ancient fresco of the central altar, miraculously bypassed and spared by the force of the lava. The church of Santa Maria del Principio was reborn when San Vincenzo Romano, a great human and religious figure of the coral city, decided to rebuild it, as he had already done with the basilica of Santa Croce. He deserves the great credit of having been able to convey the great desire for rebirth of the Torrese people and of having also made these reconstruction projects financially possible. In a short time a new church was reborn containing in its belly the ancient altar and what remains of the ancient church. In more recent times, the passionate and qualified research and excavation work of Don Nicola Ciavolino, assistant parish priest of the church and a figure of great cultural importance, has made it possible to reinvigorate attention towards this testimony of the past and since 2013, the association " Wesuvio" and the parish priest Don Luigi Magliulo, with the contribution of other enthusiasts, have undertaken a process of valorisation of the site by proposing guided tours and events with the aim of making known to an increasingly public wider this important testimony of Vesuvian history.

The influx of noble families is favored by its position and the beauty of the place, arriving there to spend periods of rest and leisure. At the beginning of the 18th century, the Marquis of Vallelonga decided to transform the rustic factories into comfortable homes for the family's summer months and for the management of the vast agricultural territory he owned. The eighteenth-century building incorporates the older building made up of low and separate bodies. The main block overlooks the public road, consisting of the ground floor and the main floor in which the frescoed reception rooms and the other rooms of the main house with terraces overlooking the countryside, Vesuvius and the sea are located. ; after the earthquake of 1794, the palace was seriously damaged. We found this small restaurant by a chance while exploring the closed town on Sunday , trying to find something to eat, we were starving ... The food was good in total, not freshly made but heated in the microwave, couldn’t tell if it was done today or before. But it was tasty, the pasta with ricotta was tasty and the dessert as well. The seafood lasagna was not that good, oily and the edges were dry. I was a bit surprised with the prices in the bill considering we had food heated in the microwave and not fresh ( made for us when we order). Also the town situation and prices. It’s like when they hear you speaking English they decide you are a tourist and rich, so let’s make him pay more. It is an attitude i touched in whole Italy not only in here. I felt she increased it by 3-4 euros at least. The employee was nice and friendly.

Peppe Sott'o Ponte Srl, a pizza restaurant in Torre del Greco, has been described as lacking ambiance and resembling a local community center. However, it caters mainly to the neighborhood clientele. The cuisine stands out for its exceptional quality and reasonable prices. Diners have enjoyed delicious meals without breaking the bank. Came there during a trip to all the southern parts of Italy, Roma included. I have got to tell u, I ate there the best pasta I’ve ever had my entire life, I’m a girl with high expectation when it comes to food. And I can tell the pasta was homemade and full of amazing taste. I recommend taking this exact dish because it’s the local famous pasta shape and the local taste. Also amazing waiter, gave us treats on the house. I’m literally looking at the picture of the pasta, and can’t stop thinking about how good it was. Get the same oneeee and make sure to go to this yummy place!!!!

DO NOT GO!! AVOID AT ALL COST!! It is a tourist trap!! An abusive well coordinated one. As soon as they notice you are a tourist they offer NO MENU instead they bring out a guy that points out to fresh fish for you to choose from. 30 min later the small fish is served in a soup like with some flavorless pasta and the bill for $127 EUROS (no drinks or desserts included) With this money you could go to a really good restaurant with good few and panoramic views instead of this one-star restaurant. Very dissatisfied with this place.

Got referred here by a local. Probably the worst food I've ever had. Pizza was burnt, so all I had to go off of was the charred taste of the pizza, girlfriend got the stuffed pizza "calzone" and it had to be one of the cheapest made things on the menu. Oh not to mention, right before our food was served a cockroach scurried across the floor next to us. #AvoidThisPlace #Disgusting

(Translated by Google) I was craving pizza, and on the recommendation of family and friends, I went with them to Pizzeria Sant'Anna, where I actually ate a delicious pizza. The dough was well-leavened, cooked to perfection, and had a generous, high-quality topping! The staff was friendly and attentive. The price was very fair. What can I say, a very pleasant surprise. Thanks, and see you next time, as soon as I return to Torre del Greco.

(Translated by Google) It's a neighborhood pizzeria, and the quality-price ratio is right. You eat a good pizza, which is not heavy, in a simple and beautiful place at the same time, without spending astronomical sums for a pizza with friends. The only small flaw was the slightly oily fries and it wasn't very dry.

We were in search of a restaurant with a scenic water view to celebrate a birthday, following our exploration of Pompeii and ascent up Mount Vesuvius. MM Lounge Restaurant proved to be the perfect choice. With a table that overlooked the water, we received exceptional service from Georgio and his attentive staff (Marco, Serafino, and Francesco). While we aren't fans of seafood, their extensive selection was impressive. However, we opted for two different beef dishes which were expertly cooked.
What an amazing place to eat!! The food is exceptional!! We had an amazing family meal here. We’re the staff couldn’t do enough for you. And with one of the best views of the sun set to top it off!! Just wow !!!

Okay, I had really high hopes for this place but this was the biggest disappointment of our entire stay in Italy. The prices compared to the quality of food was not balanced. It's by the sea in a coastal town but the quality of seafood was just lacking. We had the mussels and the seafood cold meat plate for entree. The mussels were okay but the cold meat plate was bad, I appreciate the creativity but the mixture of the average quality seafood and the poor choices in flavourings made it hard to enjoy. Our mains we had no choice but to both have the crab pasta as the minimum order is two serves. It was pretty good but not amazing. I wasn't blown away by any means. The servers were lovely but the chef's decided when we should eat each course and our poor waitress had to take our unfinished entrees away as the chef didn't want our pasta to over cook or get soggy. I mean if you're paying $80 euros for entrees you'd like to be able to finish them, even if they weren't that good. If I was back in Vesuvius would I dine here again? No. The view was amazing but what's a view when your frivolously spending your money on food that your not enjoying.

We came as there on a Sunday afternoon. The view is amazing, but we’ve waited a lot for the waiter to come to take our order. everyone was very friendly. The antipasti had only 6 small Slices of fish. The taste was ok,but nothing amazing. And we ordered 1 plate of spaghetti to share, nevertheless the waiter brought us 2. At the end they gifted us the 2nd portion, but the point was that we didn’t want to eat the whole plate of pasta. The taste was ok. Sorry to say that, but our experience wasn’t that amazing.

We are not seafood fans which is too bad because they had an excellent selection, but we ordered two different beef selections and they were cooked to perfection. The view is splendid and the place is very nice but only one of the waiters talked english. The staff was kind and nice but it was very hard to communicate. I ordered one cocktail and i received another one. I tried to explain that to 3 waiters and they didnt understand. We arrived there a bit before 20.30 and the staff was super nice so we got a table outside. They said it was booked from 22 o'clock but we can enjoy our dinner until then. Then the food arrived more than an hour later so we had very very little time left to enjoy it. My friend ordered a glass of wine (at the begining) that came only after we asked the waiter twice....and the wine arrived after she started eating.

This is the place to be if you’re around Napoli. The staff is friendly, food is absolutely delicious and the location is perfect. I’ve celebrated the last two birthdays there and every time we have an amazing experience. They have a well-stocked cellar and you’ll not be disappointed. I favourites are the raw seafood and the gnocchi. See you next time ;)

Day 2

Northeast side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northeast side side of town. Start the day off with Valle dell'Orso, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Cantina Del Vesuvio Winery Russo Family since 1930. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

So we are from the UK. We needed something fun and to stay cool in the hot weather. This is a Family Water park for all ages. You need to get at least two chairs if there are 4-5 of you but you must pay for all members. Parking is easy and cost us €5. Get here early. If you book online and want to party with loud music and fun, choose the main pool. If you’re not such a party animal look for the smaller pool, but you will hear music and an MC. Don’t panic they have a 2h break. The Italians know how to have fun and everyone joins in. The main pool has a wave for about 5min every hour. The rides are easy and well managed. Remember it’s a small family run park and it’s there so you can have a splash and some fun. There is a cafe which is ok for snacks and some Italian espresso! Go for the self catered section for lunch as there is a wide range of food there and you get good portions. People were friendly and helpful even though we couldn’t speak Italian. We used a hire car to get there, but there is a shuttle bus from the train station. The ques for the slides for fair and no que jumpers. The lifeguards were good as well. Book the day before is recommended. We all had fun and loved everyone’s ability to join in with the dancing and singing. Music is very loud, which is perfect for a pool party atmosphere. Remember they have a quiet time for 2h for lunch. Everyone had fun and the park was perfectly safe and friendly. Remember to buy a hat. Maybe a yellow or red one if you want to stand out ! lol . They even played Christmas songs and had a Father Christmas! Don’t you just love Italy!

Great day out in the shadow of Vesuvius. Once we negotiated the booking system with the helpful staff using WhatsApp communication our visit was quickly arranged. If you want a lounger per person it will cost a little more and you need to book adjacent umbrella areas, but ideally, you spend as much time in the pool or on slides so you don't need the loungers. The nearest station is Ville delle Ginestre on the Circumvesuviana line and then a 15-minute uphill walk - some of which can feel a little hair-raising as the paths disappear and you walk on the road. There are plenty of food and drink choices and spaces to eat, including beer, arancini and doughnuts. It is clean and feels safe for children to enjoy fully, and there are lots of helpful staff around. 8 main slides and waves in the main pool once an hour provides plenty of entertainment. Great shoulder massage to be had in the hydro-massage area. All in all a good value day out for us to relax 😌

I had a great experience at Valle dell’Orso. Although I couldn’t book online for the same day, the staff replied quickly on WhatsApp and told me I could come directly. When we arrived, the shuttle driver kindly stopped for us and offered a ride. At the entrance there was no waiting, tickets were easy, and the staff were very friendly. The park is clean, well organized, with a beautiful setting of the mountain behind and the sea in front, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Valle dell’Orso to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, and family-friendly day out. It is the perfect mix of nature, good atmosphere, and excellent hospitality. 🌟

Fun acqua park for all ages. There's a section where small kids can play and another for everyone else. There's around 7 different water slides- the newest - Bumblebee. There's a pool with waves( about every hour) and hydro-massage where there's entertainment for everyone, mainly dancing and games.( about every hour as well). Very clean, enough staff- friendly and helpful. Food can be purchased inside and you can also bring your own from home and eat it in the picnic area. It's a bit expensive, around 60€ for a family of 4( 2 adults and 2 children) July and around 70€ in August. My daughter's love it and I enjoy it as well, love doing the group dances and relaxing on the hydro-massage area.

Villa delle Ginestre, located between Torre del Greco and Torre Annunziata near Vesuvius, was once owned by the Ferrigni family in the 19th century. The villa holds historical significance as it was where poet Giacomo Leopardi stayed until shortly before his death, hosted by Antonio Ranieri. Visitors can see Leopardi's room and experience the enchanting atmosphere of the place.
(Translated by Google) I went with school there. Very beautiful villa, with a view of the sea and Vesuvius. The "Villa Ferrigni (now called Villa delle Ginestre), is an historical house/residence in Torre del Greco. This 18-century villa was where the poet Giacomo Leopardi moved, outside the city of Naples, when the cholera epidemic broke out; and, since 2006, it has been home to the La Ginestra Leopardi Prize (a prize a warded to individuals who have distinguished themselves through their studies in the analysis, study, and dissemination of Giacomo Leopardi's poetry).

(Translated by Google) One of the villas that is part of the consortium of Vesuvian villas. There is still a lot to do: starting from the renovation of both the external and internal rooms and the actual weekly maintenance that a villa like this cannot fail to have. Having said this, it is one of the most beautiful villas in the Vesuvian area, in particular in Torre del Greco. The Torre proloco, in fact, is organizing various events to promote the visit to the villa and today 12 May 2024 I was right there for a very interesting food and wine event, where a complete visit to the villa was carried out and then it was possible to taste one of Leopardi's favorite dishes, given that it was the villa where he lived in the last years of his life, gnocchi stuffed with provola cheese and piennolo tomato (a connoisseur I would say!), accompanied by wine produced by a local winery with vineyards on Vesuvius. The opportunity to participate in this initiative will last every Sunday in May and June at the price of €10. To spend a pleasant and relaxing morning, I highly recommend it!

(Translated by Google) This villa certainly deserves a better present. From a historical point of view it is a place of pride for the Vesuvian villages. The place where the 'exterminator Vesevo' lines were composed perhaps deserves different attention. From the outside the villa is very beautiful, but it doesn't take much to notice the elements of abandonment. At the moment the proposed offer is not in line with the €5 required for the ticket. I hope that with the new interventions planned for 2024, this place can blossom again, offering the population and tourists an opportunity to appreciate and experience Leopardi's poetry.

I saw the cinder cone on Google maps and went for a journey to see it. I visited when the gate was open and the cathedral was closed. So I took numerous photos, but upon my exit, the gate was closed. Scaling a ten foot gate was easy, thanks to a tall, limber frame, with good footholds. Great photography is possible here, mainly of the bay.

In ancient times the hill was dedicated to S. Michele Arcangelo. In 1600 some Camaldolese monks arrived there and then it became the hill of the Camaldoli for everyone. In the 1950s the Redemptorist fathers, an order founded by St. Alfonso Maria de' Liguori, settled in the place, restoring the ancient church and building a seminary next door where future missionary fathers would be trained. Since then the site has been called Colle di S. Alfonso. The church, due to its panoramic and green position, is chosen by many for weddings and other celebrations and is a frequent destination for religious tourism. Open every day for many hours, it is a welcoming and very serene place. (Translated by Google) The hill is of volcanic origins and has hosted a chapel dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel and called Monte Sant'Angelo since 1500. Documentation attesting to the presence of a small hemispherical temple guarded by an adjoining "building" which served as a lazaretto during illnesses and contagious diseases also dates back to the same period. In 1600 a community of Neapolitan Camaldolese Fathers settled on the hill and in 1700 the structure of the church was expanded by the monks and the large church was built, also building the quadrilateral currently existing outside the church. Subsequently the property passed into the hands of private individuals and, furthermore, the events of the Second World War reduced it to a pile of ruins. Around 1950, however, it was purchased by the Redemptorist Fathers of S. Alfonso Maria De Liguori who, by restoring the structure and constructing a large building intended for the training of future Redemptorist missionaries, revalued the structure, bringing it back to its ancient splendors. The church is very large and still beautiful, located in a strategic point overlooking the entire city of Torre del Greco with the Gulf of Naples behind it. It is an area rich in history and artistic beauty and should be visited.

Cantina Del Vesuvio Winery Russo Family since 1930 is located in the charming coastal town of Torre del Greco, offering mesmerizing views of the Bay of Naples. As the gateway to Mount Vesuvius, it attracts adventurers and nature lovers. The winery offers a perfect balance for lunch paired with lovely wines and stunning views at the foot of the mountain. Visitors can enjoy dinner and wine tasting with delicious food and amazing scenery.
Amazing- must do! After touring Pompeii and climbing Vesuvius, we decided to do a tasting and pairing at the winery. We worried since we didn’t have a reservation but boy- did they welcome us with open arms! Before even stepping onto the front porch, we were greeted with sparkling wine. We received a small tour (about 10 min), showing us the grapes, the bottling operation, then finished upstairs where we sat on the balcony where we ate, drank, and enjoyed the views. The scenery here was beautiful- like a postcard! Service was amazing, staff was kind and accommodating. Couldn’t say anything bad about this experience and would highly recommend to any friends/ family.

We booked the three-course lunch with wine tasting before heading to the airport (about 30 minutes away), and it was a lovely way to end our trip. The property is peaceful and beautifully maintained, surrounded by a relaxing vineyard atmosphere. The receptionist who guided us through the vineyard was lively, friendly, and very informative — it was a great start to the experience. After the tour, we went upstairs for our meal. The restaurant was nearly full, though there were still a few available tables. We were seated near the window, which offered a nice view. The first course was delicious but felt a bit rushed, as the waitress seemed quite busy and under pressure. It was hard to fully enjoy the dish even though it was beautifully prepared. The main course (spaghetti) was very good, and the dessert — though a bit sweet for my taste — paired nicely with the dessert wine. We sampled one white and two red wines, all pleasantly balanced and not overly acidic. Overall, it was a great experience at a fair price. I’d recommend visiting for a later lunch around 2 PM to enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere and fully savor the food and wine.

This was such a wonderful experience. When arriving by car go to the Wine club entrance and buzz in via the intercom. We were greeted with a glass of pink fizz, shown the vineyard, you got your first proper view of Vesuvius, taken to the processing area, we met the owner. Then time for lunch on the roof top terrace- Vesuvius behind us and the bay of Naples in front of us, stunning! Pairings of the wine with each course were superb, we obviously bought some bottles to take home. Will be recommending to all I know and try and come back if I visit Naples again.

If you are in Naples, I highly recommend you take the 20 minute trip to visit the winery. Don’t forget to try the apricot drink at the end of your stay and say hello to Vino the cat! Grazie! P.S I promised I’d write a song for the Winery so here it goes: Russo vines, Vesuvio shines, One glass and life’s divine!

Cantina Del Vesuvio winery was absolutely beautiful with a view of the mountain. We had a short tour of vines, got to taste a grape, then had 5 wines to taste with cheese, salami, bread and olive oil, followed by spaghetti with meatballs, then dessert with a sweet wine. Well worth the visit. Wonderful staff and service, with stunning views. Best to book a shuttle as there are no taxis.

The most amazing experience at this family owned winery, after a short tour round the active vineyard, with a guided explanation of the bottling process. We were taken to a sunny rooftop terrace, overlooking Mount Vesuvius on one side and the sea on the other, with beautiful views of the vines. we were provided with the most amazing lunch accented by five delicious wines. Friendly and welcoming service. A free shuttle to and from the train stations, made this the perfect afternoon!

Everyone at Cantina Del Vesuvio was welcoming and amazing. Our cooking class with Ester was beyond all of our expectations. She was warm, welcoming and amazing. What a beautiful setting and such and unbelievable experience. We will be telling all our friends!! Grazie Mille Ester and staff ❤️❤️ Corrie and Jill

Great place for a quiet dinner. But. To get there just from Pompeii city is quite pricey if you prefer taxi. If you are fine with train, than the winery has the own shuttle bus to transport you from and to tha station. The winery excursion is 10 min long exactly.

Pizza restaurant
Adda' Figlia i Cristoforo Pizzeria in Italy offers exceptional Italian cuisine with generous portions at affordable prices. This recommended restaurant in Napoli is known for its delicious food and friendly locals. It is the ultimate destination for pizza lovers, providing an unforgettable experience with its authentic taste. The hospitality of the staff enhances the overall enjoyment, making every visit memorable. Customers are delighted by the reasonably priced menu and attentive service provided by kind personnel.
I can't say if this is the best Pizza in the area, but it's that good we haven't tried any others! We stumbled across it trying to find somewhere open on a Sunday evening to get a takeaway and they were! It's clearly Family run, and they are a lovely bunch. They also do bread, dough balls, arancini, all excellent. There's a good range of drinks, very reasonably priced, even a few bottles of local frizzante wine which was excellent btw. They have tables, though we preferred to eat back where we are staying.

The best Italy origin food we were eating ever! Very tasty, big portion and good price. I recommend to every one to visit this restaurant. I love Napoli! Very friendly, kind Italy people.

(Translated by Google) The pizza by the metre is almost adequate, the crust is burnt and too often discarded, the fried food is too greasy, they don't have enough cutlery, you have to eat with your hands... The price is average for the type of unpretentious place.

Pizza restaurant
La Pineta Pizzeria offers delicious and light pizzas with a limited selection of beverages. The outdoor ambiance is simple, but the service can be slow and lacks attentiveness to customer requests. One drawback is that the bill is only provided verbally, leaving customers without a breakdown of charges. It is important for customers to know what they are paying for, rather than just the total amount.
(Translated by Google) I've been eating their pizza for years and it's EXCEPTIONAL!! The restaurant has two internal rooms, one of which is specifically used for waiting for customers to take away and in the other larger one you can sit. At the same time, the restaurant is surrounded by pine trees and, especially in summer, you can eat pizza sitting outside; instead, during the reverse you sit inside. The pizza and fried foods are delicious!! The staff is always friendly, helpful and always offers a very fast service. Finally, the prices are excellent and accessible to everyone! If you are in the area and want to enjoy a great pizza, I recommend you stop by La Pineta! 😋🍕

(Translated by Google) The pizza is delicious and the wait times are reasonable. Annarosa recommended Stella Sbagliata, one of their latest offerings. Both the inside and outside dining areas are beautiful. We had a pleasant evening and it was a pleasant discovery. We'll be back often to try other delicacies.

(Translated by Google) Meh. I found everything too approximate, with the service bordering on rude. From table service (forgotten reservations, missing seats, hasty attitude) to the receipt which must be requested because it is not issued spontaneously (it is the third time that this has happened to me, given that my father likes to go there to celebrate his name day) and if ask for "details" they almost get offended even by looking at you askance. On pizza it's obviously a matter of taste. You will not have flights of fancy, there will be no sophisticated ingredients. It's a basic pizzeria, and you just need to know it. The positive sides are the open air (unfortunately ruined by the parking which borders the tables) and the good fritti. Having said that, good pizza everyone (Original) Mah. Detto ciò, buona pizza a tutti

(Translated by Google) Excellent pizza, we've been coming here for years. The staff is friendly and helpful; Emanuela was super nice. The menu is varied, with appetizers, first courses, second courses, and delicious pizza. I recommend stopping by for a lovely evening.

(Translated by Google) The place itself isn't bad, it's outdoors and it's cool but unfortunately the rest isn't What should be saved is the fried food which was good and also the modest prices but the pizza really isn't the problem is not the ingredients but the rough dough, not leavened and which feels like eating bread and not light at all Another flaw is the very approximate service, the lady comes to the table and doesn't even know how to indicate the names of the pizzas, mostly a €50 cover charge for a completely poor table service including cutlery. It's a shame, with some adjustments it could be significantly improved.

(Translated by Google) Good so-so fried pizza. A somewhat invented place because the tables are placed in the middle of a pine forest but while in the summer it is pleasant in the winter there is a veranda and a pizzeria. Fairly large parking. Friendly and very discreet staff. Average prices but charging children who don't even sit down is absurd.

(Translated by Google) Family-run pizzeria, excellent rotisserie pizza, friendly staff, low prices. Ample parking, and plenty of outdoor space for eating in the summer among the coolness of the pine forest and a beautiful panorama. I recommend it (Original) Pizzeria di gestione familiare, pizza ottima rosticceria buonissima, staff gentile, prezzi bassi.

(Translated by Google) Nothing similar for our group. No star (pizzeria specialty) but just a pile of broken down pizza. Delay in ordering, those who arrived later at nearby tables were served first, the pizza was good and thin but nothing to praise. The pizza with chips is then given to the children. Not to mention the crew of people smoking at the tables: a real dump! But isn't smoking prohibited in restaurants and pizzerias? At least no no smoking signs? There were so many children and none of the staff called out these avid smokers, no ramp for disabled people, the tables were all pushed together that you could hear your neighbour's breathing! we need to improve a lot. The price is not adequate for the service and the place, it is decidedly expensive for a few slices of pizza by the meter, 19 euros per couple!! But is it okay?

Restaurant
Bed & breakfast
The dining experience at Al Corbezzolo can be described as truly remarkable. Despite a delayed reservation, the restaurant staff displayed great flexibility and willingness to accommodate the party. The cuisine served was exceptionally delightful, leaving nothing short of satisfaction for the taste buds. It is without a doubt that one will feel compelled to revisit this establishment in the future.
You will find some the world's greatest hospitality and kindness in this small peaceful hotel, conveniently located in a natural spot away from the city but close to local transport links. Hospitality: I received amazing service and hospitality from Michele during my stay at Al Corbezzolo. He looked after everything I needed and made sure I could get around the city and visit everything I wanted to. Michele has a heart of gold and he will "be your Cicero" and look after you during your time in Naples. Hotel staff contacted me before I took my flight to welcome me and help me with my stay. I have travelled far and this was the best hospitality I have received in my life. He even offered me a ride on the back of his Piaggio after his shift - what an authentic way to experience Italy. Above and beyond expectations, 10 out of 10 for Michele! It was easy to communicate with all of the staff in English and with google translate for more complex conversations. Transport: the hotel staff offered me to pick me up from the airport for €50 for the ~30 km drive to the hotel; this was a great offer considering that on a separate occasion I paid €28 on a taxi just for the 5 km journey between the airport. Hotel is 5 mins walk to a small station with direct links to the central station and to Pompeii. Location: the hotel is well located in the Torre Del Greco commune outside of Naples. It is situated in a peaceful pine wood at the foot of the Vesuvius national park. It is a good base for visiting Pompeii, Herculaneum, Vesuvius, the beach or the city. There is a small train station 5 minutes walk away, and a supermarket 10 minutes away. It takes about 40 mimutes to travel to the city. Access to the hotel is from the road Via Giovanni XXIII. It was hard to see on Google maps where the entrance is but it's easy to find in person - the google map coordinates are 40.7752009, Long and there is a sign at the entrance path. Facilities: the room was comfortable, clean, peaceful and a good size. The facilities were minimal and were what should be expected for a hotel at this price; don't expect a luxury hotel. There are two buildings, the main building with restaurants and the rooms with balconies; and a second small building in the woods with other rooms. I was in the small building. The main building had WiFi but the small building did not; however my phone internet worked perfectly and I liked the peacefulness of the small building. Food: free small breakfast consisted of delicious local pastries. I didn't try the restaurant because I arrived late and it was closed during the next day. Delivery from local pizzarias available even late at night. I decided to buy water from the local supermarket and preferred this to the tap water. Overall - a pleasant hidden gem of a small hotel, in the shadow of Mt Vesuvius, with some of the best hospitality in the world. I will return!

I was on my way to Amalfi costal road with my motorbike when I found this place for the night. The staff was very helpful and nice, they let me put the bike near the small house where I was sleeping. Te restaurant was great, especially the staff’s chief was very competent and helped me decide what to get. The place is safe at night of you park inside.

I bet you can't find a better restaurant in Torre del Greco. If you are looking for something exclusive with stellar kitchen and 5 star service this is the right place for you. I went there with my family for the baptism of my daughter and I had one of my best experience, ever!

I have been to Jose last night and to be honest I was a bit disappointed, the tastes were too strong and not really well combined for me. We had the testing menu "journey" with paring, the wine labels were simply described without offering any further information on why it was decided to pair them with a particular dish. The location is outstanding, every details is taken into account. Generally I think they should review the menu trying to obtain a balance between the different ingredients and to offer the customers a proper experience through it.
