We used the gondola for uplift mountain biken. Went quick to a nice single trail downwards. In the summer there is a nice walking path for kids as well !
Beautiful place with nice scenery and things for the kids to do
No so much to say.. Its quite new one. Big cabines clean and new.. Enough space for Bikes also for Dh bikes. I can recommend.. Need ticketa to ride 2022 around 100 eur for 3 days.
Very nice cable car with lovely views Nice coffee shop at the top You can ride it free if you live in the hotels nearby By getting a card called jocker card from your hotel
Nice and easy sloop for beginners
Enjoy the tranquility along with the hospitality of its people.
Just a cable lift, doing what it does. For summer riders, it has two MTB single tracks, one blue and one black.
Nice views, reliable, secure. Most of the cabins are dapted for bikes

Fantastic mountain top destination. First day we went up it was cold and rainy. Second day was just perfect. The kids played in the outdoor playground and I went for relatively easy hike to the connected mountains. Just wonderful place. Note: we had the Joker card because we stayed in Saalbach, I don't know how much it cost to pay for the ride up the mountain.
Fast modern lift Free bike wash .
A comfortable gondola for both cyclists and hikers, which only takes a few minutes to get to the top of the mountain at 2079 meters above sea level. The bike-enabled gondolas require some fiddling to fit 2 bikes, but the staff is very helpful in ensuring that your bikes are affixed safely inside the cabin. From the top, a choice of downhill trails is available,
It has been probably caused by the actual weather conditions, but I've been already more enjoying ski in couple of other places where you could find well prepared slopes with corduroy surface even in the afternoon. Sölden was the absolute too and Obertauern the best price/value 😉
In winter easy access to the top of the mountain and from there to red, black and blue slopes, the blue one being the link to Schmittenhohe. Parking over- as well as underground (otherwise fully booked early in the morning). Close to the town and skirent stores. Startpoint to the Saalbach skicircuit.
One of the popular ski lifts. It does get busy but that’s to be expected in peak ski season. You can purchase lift passes here. Close to bus terminal (at the base of the gondela ), you will find access to the ski bus here and your regional busses for example the bus that would take you back to Zell am See. There are a variety of slopes at the very top of Schattberg, there is the famous black run and some very pleasant red and blue runs. For snowboarders you can take your board into the gondela just remember to grab a cover for your board before you climb into the gondela. The ride going up is also awesome , spectacular views while going up the mountain and also from the top of the mountain. Lovely restaurant at the top to eat at or to grab a drink. Again this gondela is suitable for skiers, boarders and ‘pedestrians’ who want to just enjoy breathtaking views.
Just beautiful, breathtaking scenery, Salsburg is a must go to town, any time of year! Try the Kristiana Hotel. There are two funicular either side of the town, cafe/restaurants on the top of both. At the top of the Shattberg X-press you will a very well equipped, fun and adventure play area, seats and hammocks to relax in too
My first trip on a serious cable car. I enjoyed the ride very much. Arriving at a station a bit daunting as you approach seemingly quite fast with slow moving cars inside. Coming out of the mid-station the gondola swung out and back before settling.

Great atmosphere, view, food and service
The highlights of this place are the location and the horse-drawn sleigh which we used to get there. I believe the food could be a little bit better. Overall very nice experience!
The best kaiserschmarrn I tried! Very nice people, very nice place! Just be sure you have cash with you. Otherwise you can withdraw 50 meters downstairs from atm.
NEVER GO THERE IF YOU DON’T SPEAK GERMAN! Servis (old thin man) was rude as much as it’s possible. He had problem with everything: English, baby stroller, dog!! When we wanted to pay, he tried us to pay NOT by credit card but cash. Unfortunately we tried just gulash soup and it was not good. Pitty for the owner having this kind of stuff :(
Amazing cottage with a nice terrace, great food and nice service. plenty of activities for children in the vicinity - water games and also access to the trail in the treetops.
Oh my God! BEST Kaiserschmarrn I’ve ever had! It was mind-blowing. It’s soft on the inside but caramelised on the outside. I’ve been trying Kaiserschmarrn at least once a day everywhere in Tyrol, and honestly, I cannot describe how good this one was! Quick service too!
Best Kaiserschmarrn in all Austria. We like this traditional desert very much and we ask it in every restaurant
Worst ever service I have ever had. A racist waiter. I have ordered spaghetti with Tomato source but he brought spaghetti with Fleisch. I told him that was not my order but said it was not his problem. Who's problem then?!

What an amazing experience, a must to go to and walk on the largest walk bridge in Europe during the summer. Things to consider - Get snacks or eat prior to arrival, the food is limited there, and not the best selections. - You can park next to the place or hike up around 3 km - The road is a single file so be cautious as you need to drive up there. It cost around 11 euros for one person to enter and 9 euros for the machine by the side of the kiosk if they are on holiday or off from work.
Visiting Glemmtaler Baumzipfelweg was an amazing experience 🌲🌉. The suspension bridge and the surrounding scenery make you feel like you’re truly in the heart of nature. The trail is well-organized and safe, offering peaceful walks with breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains and forests. It’s beautiful in both summer with the greenery, and in winter when the snow transforms the area into a magical landscape. There was almost no waiting time at the entrance, and everything was well managed. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the region—it’s a unique and unforgettable experience, especially for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts. 📸
This is a great place for a short vacation with kids. They will love the games and the adventure. It is also good for adults to enjoy the unbelievable scenery.
Don't do it. Total tourist trap! Got suckered by the Joker Card brochure. This review is for the bridge/walk only. Save your money and go for a hike. Incredibly underwhelming. Other reviews mention the grumpy old man, I'd have to agree. Why it's so highly rated is a mystery.
It was a nice walk in the nature. Everything was amazing!!
Very cool place with the kids, the foxy omega for 50+ kg and very fun but too expensive
Impressive, informative, fun, a great outing for all ages!
Funny and informative. Great programm with kids. The only negative critic, that you can not pay with cards.

The ride with the B1+B2 12er KOGEL cable car was great and it took about seven minutes all the way to the top station, at 1984 meters. At the top, there's a sightseeing and panorama place, a children's park, and benches for relaxation. Several tourist routes start there. If you don't feel like hiking, you can enjoy a bicycle ride on the Z-Line (only for the very adventurous!). You can also hike to the 12er KOGEL middle station where you will find a restaurant and the route is very easy. If your staying in the Saalbach-Hinterglemm area, make sure you ask your landlord for a Joker Card, which allows you unlimited free rides on every open cable car during summer (there are 6 of them).
It is pricey but absolutely worth it. The views are amazing, you can see a lot of great mountain tops. There is a middle station with also a beautiful view and you can walk back to the parking lot in 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Best mountain and gondola in Hinterglemm. Can get crowded at bottom, stay at lift 2 once you get to the top. Lots of snow, not many crowds at the top run
🚡 This is a well thought through gondola with a high theoretical capacity that stands a chance of being met due to a larger than normal loading area. Once onboard the gondolas are bright, comfortable and spacious. ✨ 😎 The vibes of this place are more "modern city transit" than "traditional alpine" though others may prefer the un-apologetically modern twist. 🏙️ 🚗 It is a shame that there is a carpark right next door. It would be nicer if the snowfront could be fully pedestrianized and opened up to the tourists staying and passing through the area - move the automobiles out of town! 🌨️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️
Very beautiful place
Really well made gondel/lift for skiing and hiking. Spacious comfortable and enough space to put your tools. Just for snowboarders not ideal.
Essential for good skiing in Hinterglemm. Can't be missed - or avoided. :-) Can also be useful for watching the races. ;-)
Modern facilities and great view

Not enjoyed the destroyed flow trails, loose rocks, landing on loose rocks. Bad maitenance. Liked the black Bergstadl trail.
Getting worse and worse! Building more "highway" trails, even partially destroying X-Line. I guess because of laziness (much easier to use mini-excavators, than hand tools) and to attract families and non-bikers, who think they are doing MTB-ing if they ride those almost paved trails :) Unfortunately this trend is in most places in Austria.
(Translated by Google) At the beginning of October we were here for the second time and were excited to see what it would be like this time. 4 years ago the trails were unfortunately bad, although biking with the Saalbach card was “free”. This time we were just as disappointed despite the very expensive tickets. The tracks are in a catastrophic condition and there are often craters and no braking waves left in the tracks. If it were a well-kept park you could only recommend it, but you have to advise against it, because it's usually not fun on the rocky tracks. It's a shame, the potential would be there.
(Translated by Google) Anyone who believes they can broadcast properly in Saalbach should go again! Trails are completely destroyed, so that even the panoramic trail becomes a challenge for hands and material! Then you want to ride a nice, different trail and sometimes have to pedal uphill for half an hour. Really cool without Vario support and single speed!!! If you're looking for a bike tour with sightseeing and an occasional trail, this is the place for you. But if you want to shoot, you should go to Leogang. For me it was the first and last time in Saalbach!!!
(Translated by Google) We rode at the end of the season, some of the trails were already very worn out, rough and bumpy. 1 side of the downhill run is closed, leaving 1 red run, 2 black and 2 blue runs in this valley. And that costs €47 for 4 hours..
(Translated by Google) Great region to vacation with a good mix. The routes were already pretty worn out at the end of August with a lot of braking bumps. But this is also due to the audience, as there are many occasional bikers and newbies whose riding technique is not yet suitable. Unfortunately it's bike ghetto - I like that much better in Switzerland with the fair trails.
(Translated by Google) The term “Austria’s largest bike region” is very generous. The connection from Saalbach to Leogang is terrible, an almost impassable "hiking trail" in both directions. The trails on the Schattbergexpress are very good, as is the Leogang bike park. But it can't be used as a group.

Great gondola to middle station or top of mountain. 2 bikes fit inside and will bring you to the top. For an amazing view and of course a trail off the mountain. With joker card you can use it for free and get discount of 20% on normal rates.
Spectacular! Great friendly team, no wait, Look out for the marmots between the 1st station and the top. They have burrows right under the cable car. You can see the white rocks and earth they dig up so they’re pretty easy to spot.
The new Kohlmais (2018) is a comfortable cable car that brings you to the top of the mountain. The mountain itself offers various hikes and entertainment for kids (e.g. Montelino Trail). The view of the top is quite stunning.
Fast, modern lift with very nice views at the top station. Good possibilities for resting and food on the mountain. Make sure to check lift time operation. Operation stops quite early.
Lovely place, amazing views, nice hiking to middle station. You should try it!
Great place to start little children or beginners with downhill biking. Picnic area, wash area, ample parking and very close to the center.
Great place for all the trail and enduro biking aficionados
The trails (Panorama) are in really bad shape, nobody is taking care of it and every year it is worst and worst. Big disappointment 😐

Great fun for the kids. Close to the first stop of the Kohlmais Gondola. Also consider the Montelino’s Adventure Path.
Quiet and nice place for kids, but not only!

Nice but there are no places to take shade from the sun.
