Basilica was closed when we got there. We went too early. Check the schedule before going. We only saw the surroundings and not the inside. We couldn't stay longer due to our structured schedule. We were a big group of pilgrims and needed to keep our schedules. Hopefully, we can return in the future🙏. You can also visit the Chapel of St. Therese, which is a few miles away from the Basilica.
Awesome 🤩. For the Catholic pilgrim, not to be missed. How a young girl’s dream of making heaven on earth has paved the way for this grand basilica that is a small testament to all the good St Therese of Lusieux has inspired in so many.
Amazing architecture and fantastic stained glass windows. Well worth the time spent visiting. Next time we will attempt the steps to the first and second tiers.
Stunning Basilica. Beautiful and reverent Mass in Sunday. Unfortunately the gift store doesn’t carry any books in English.
Well worth a visit. Absolutely beautiful interior and stained glass. Architecture is on a grand scale.
Beautiful church with fantastic history. Amazing mosaics. Very spiritual. The stair trip is well worth paying €3 for. Therese Martin's family story is very stirring. Really enjoyed our visit
Absolutely beautiful inside, and the chapel on the lower floor has a fantastic mosaic ceiling.
I was over the moon to have stumbled across this magnificent Basilica . In my ignorance I had never heard of Saint Therese of Lisieux , I certainly have now . What a glorious memorial to her this glorious building is . I could have spent days here and loved every minute of it . Bravo to the designers and builders . The locals must be very proud of Saint Therese herself and their memorial to her . I am so grateful to have been given the chance to visit . Merci Beaucoup .

Being a complete Cathedral/Church fanatic, I was more than pleased to get the opportunity to visit this amazing place . Lisieux is an amazing commune In Normandy and seems a wonderful place to live . The Cathedrale Saint Pierre de Lisieux just one of its attractions . I spent about an hour and a half in here and loved it very peaceful . I lit a candle, said a prayer for mum, and dad and admired the wonderful architecture . I particularly loved the alter with an illuminated Christ underneath it guarded by two angels I believe . It stands in a rather attractive market square . Well worth visiting in my humble opinion . Oh I loved the crucifix too .
Lovely old cathedral with marvelous stained glass. A floorplan inside nicely shows the age of various parts of the structure. Lovely garden just east of it too. Park a few blocks away because this is a big square in front & narrow streets all around.
Celebrating Mass was beautiful. They have plenty of information in English about the Cathedral.
Cathedral of Sancte Pierre where St. Therese attended as a child.
Wish Tereze had been held here. Much more beautiful and historical.. the money should have been spent here instead of that gaudy church on the hill
Beautiful cathedral, historical place must see ,good parking
Very beautiful, impressive cathedral. Just like the Notre Dame in Paris
Marcel Proust and his driver came to view the façade and doors of Lisieux Cathedral in the early 1900s. They arrived after sunset and so lit up the building with the headlamps of the car. He re-tells the travel story in a piece for Le Figaro: Proust, M. (1907) ‘Impressions de route en automobile.’ Le Figaro.

This is just such a beautiful chateau - has to be seen. Not grand - and we only walked round the outside (the inside was closed to visitors) but it was well worth the drive from Trouville. A baking hot day when we visited so the cool of the neighbouring tea rooms was most welcome as were the refreshing pots of specialist teas. A delightful place to spend a couple of hours if you are in the area. Check opening times (closes at lunchtime) - parking opposite is free.
Beautiful castle and its surroundings,no charge to enter the garden and inner courtyard as the interior of the building is still under renovation. There are several free guided 20min tours (in french or english should there be enough foreigners) during which you enter into the inner courtyard. Cool to spend an hour admiring the area, there is a nice tea salon overlooking the castle but it was closed when we were there a week ago.
So beautiful, like taken from a tale. We just walked around the castle.
Just beautiful. Unfortunately the interiors were not accessible but anyway worth seeing.
Beautiful castle and nature around. We couldn’t enter inside of the castle as they are renovating. Worth to visit anyhow.
Beautiful fairytale like little Castle. Too bad interior was closed for renovation.
Magnificent little castle with a nice a garden. The interior is currently closed (summer 22) for renovations but the gardens and outside facades are still worth the visit. Guided tours are available free of charge every hour, a great way to learn more with a professional historian!
What a gorgeous and peaceful place to visit. The front clerk was very helpful and spoke English while helping with our bad French. Easy parking right across the street and an easy path around the outside grounds of the site. If walking to the side, there is a bubbling stream and was so serene. Visited in April and everything smelled so fresh. Ducks were swimming in the moat and the peacocks were making their calls. The inside was still under renovation, but it was free to view the garden and take your time. There is small church across the street to explore and old cemetery. I strongly recommend to visit if you're looking for some peace and nature.

Unbelievable experience visiting childhood home of St. Therese! I had to pinch myself! We had to wait a little bit on arrival. Only a limited number of people are allowed in at one time. We were only 2 Americans. They took 2 large groups of French speakers first then us 2 alone. There is an audio recording detailing each room so we had the tour in English. It is a short but very moving tour. You enter where the kitchen once was, and then see the family dining room. Climbing the original staircase where Therese overheard her father lamenting when would she grow up after Christmas Midnight Mass you enter her bedroom. The bed she slept is still there and I burst into tears sitting on a bench near it listening to the tale of Mother Mary appearing to her there. You also see her father, St Louis's bedroom. Then back down to small gift shop and display of her personal items: toys, clothes, rosary, cross, etc... The exit is through a small garden with statue of her and her father. Free of charge. Donation.
We came to Les Buissonnets after visiting the Basilica of St Therese. Our bus could only stay about 200 meters away because this wasn’t on the main road. The way to the house is not easily accessible to those in wheelchairs. As the house is small, only 10-15 could go in at a time and so our group of 37 had to go in tranches. The wait wasn’t arduous because there is a front and back garden that also gave glimpses of the life of St Therese as a child. The interiors are well kept and glimpses of the middle class family of St Therese is quite evident. That there are women in the family is seen in the beautifully kept embroidered beddings, and the visitors cannot miss the religiosity of this family in the many religious articles around the house. The tour rounds off with a gift shop in the house before exit.
Ave Maria! What a grace to be in the house and to see St Therese of the Child Jesus' personal belongings. Visiting here was truly a blessing.
I love this little visit. They have like an audio guide in many languages and all the personnel were really kindly. If you are in Lisieux must go!
Such a gift to visit the home of St Therese. It was a joy to see her home and see artifacts from her family and from her life on earth. One note for improvement -- my mom and sister and I visited Les Buissonnets with a strong understanding of St Therese's life, writings, and impact in the church. I understand the guides at this holy site are present for those who are less familiar with her life. We visited Les Buissonnets with the hope of having a quiet, prayerful experience but didn't seem able to communicate to the guides that we actually wanted to skip the audio tour. It would have been a more fruitful experience if we had been allowed to tour the home with reverential quiet, instead of participating in the audio tour, etc.
The house where st Theresa of Child JESUS lived her very early stages of life with her holy parents and family before entering the convent. This house has become a home of three saints: St Theresa of Child JESUS and her two Loving parents. Visiting this holy home makes the visitor more closer to the Devine.. May the holy family lived in this house pray for all who enter this house!
Beautiful family home
We would absolutely recommend you taking a quick little guided tour of this magnificent home

A beautiful spiritual place where one can restore their soul. Nice little chapel with small free museum on the life of Saint Therese as a Carmelite. Very nice bookstore/gift shop next door.
St. Theresa of Child Jesus resided there and obtained virtue there. The location has been kept up nicely and is intended to inform both tourists and peace seekers. I enjoyed my quiet time. I hope you'll discover it, too.
A holy and beautiful church of St. Therese of child JESUS... where Her remains are kept. It is in this Carmel convent that she spent her religious life in prayer and holy way... it is really a blessing to visit this holy place where a holy saint lived and prayed.. i pray that everyone who enters this holy place may experience Holiness in life... May St Theresa of Child JESUS pray for all of us.
Very spiritual place. Come pray and be renewed.
Such a peaceful and holy space...was so pleased we got to it..beautiful.
Best experience ever. To be so close to Saint Tereza, was one of the most touching moments of my life.
It is very rich historical catholic site. Remarkable n memorable Holy site. Come n see.
The tomb of the greatest saint of the new age which is unknown to many, but his fans are increasing every day. In the center of Lisieux with easy access and next to its museum and library beside of the small church Access by Train and car from Paris Free entrance

Amazing place! Very nice, calm and great games where the kids can play. Really love this parc!
Lovely gardens and water feature to admire with a beautiful building as a backdrop. Also a play area for smaller ones (2-6yo).
Very beautiful place to visit if you love garden and lots of beautiful colour full flowers we clicked nice pictures here 😊
Very peaceful and calm, lovely statues, but the Union flag was upside down!!!! Maybe because we are leaving the EU and we are sad.
Good food and good English speaking staff

Perfect for a small break (1-2 hours) with kids. The kids pool is heated 30° and they have a bunch of toys/activities, including outside bouncy castle (if the temperature allows for outside play)
3. 5 stars Great pool for family, and the "Espace Bien-Etre "is very nice and quiet. However, twice disappointed in the lane management for laps: not enough space allocated for the many swimmers and some swimmers push and bully their way. Showering is another issue. The showers are open and mixed, therefore it is impossible to take a proper shower. One must try one's best to shower with one's bathing suit on. There are two shower cabins which I am told are locked at all times and only made available for handicapped folks. The locker room has 400 lockers and is huge. there is no need for that many lockers. I would suggest adding more showers stalls that provide privacy or creating separate showers for men and women.
Very good and friendly service from team. A one way system is in place so you go in and out one way, lifeguard were very polite, good slides 6yrs old and up. Like this if you found it helpful 👍
Lovely staff and good pool for kids. Excellent water slide with a bit of ooph.
It's a great place to swim or Have fun with a big slide and from time to time there is a obsticle cors
They need some new stuff members with less attitude and some hospitality.
Had a very good time with my boyfriend there and it's very clean !
