The zoo itself isn't big but well planned and maintained. It's definitely one of the best if you wanna get up close to the animals.
We had a great time at the zoo. Lots of baby animals well cared for. My youngest daughter had a blast in a cold March day, with some snow on the ground. Weekdays the zoo is pretty empty. Highly recommended.
Very fun experience. You have to pay for parking, or you can park in a shopping mall nearby. The zoo itself is nice and clean, the reptie pavilion is by far the best I've seen in czechoslovakia, and there are little monkey roaming around you freely. There is not much wallking uphill, which is neat. Also, there are fun little activites for kids and many educational signs so you and your family learn along the way. I very much recommend visiting this zoo!
A very nice zoo, even in autumn a nice experience. Really huge step forward after 12 years since our last visit. Sloth in the pavilion was really amazing. Completely new experience.
Nice zoo, a bit older facilities and some parts less suitable for stroller, however, overall pleasant with a larger number of feline species to see that are not elsewhere or in smaller numbers. Suitable for children. Great reptile pavillion with many species of crocodiles, lizards, turtles, snakes, etc.
There is a lot to see in the zoo. The whole family can have a very nice time in the Zoo. It is possible to see the whole Zoo in 3 hours but if you take the time to explore you can spend a lot of rime there. We particulary enjoyed the eagle flights.
Very nice well maintained zoo in a beautiful area! Large variety of animals who seem to have plenty of space. The entry price is fair and parking is cheap. They have a poffertjes stand, you don’t see that much I really enjoyed it! They’re pushy about anti-smoking, outside of two designated zones. I encountered 0 smokers for the first time ever in a zoo.
REALLY AWSOME ZOO GARDEN IN CZECH REPUBLIC. GOOD WALK FOR ALL DAY WITH CHILDREN. YOU NAC FIND SOME RESTAURANTS HERE AND COFFEE BARS.

Pleasant short guided tour (about 45 mins) through a small part of the extensive underground of Jihlava (~25km, 2nd longest in the country). The temperature is steady around 12 °C so it is an excellent way to cool down in the summer. Consider buying the combo ticket that includes also a visit of Gustav Mahler's house and the Holy Mother's gate (as of writing this review, the adult ticket costs 170 CZK, single entry to the underground 100 CZK).
It was an interesting tour which only costed 4euros or 100 czk. The guide was kind and knowledgeable. She patiently answered all the questions. Probably the last part of the tour was the best. It is worth visiting there and learning a bit about the history and culture there.
Cool and interesting. And they have English translations available.
Second largest underground system in Czech Republic after the Znojmo underground. Built from 14th century onwards. You can park on the main square in Jihlava, the entrance is 5 minutes walk. They offer two tours but we have unfortunately missed the cold war shelter and only done the the historic underground. The tour is quite interesting, takes about 45 minutes.
A pretty large part of the catacombs is accessible, generally quite a beautiful sight. The guide tour is in Czech, although non-Czech speaking visitors get a transcript supposedly of what the guide is telling you, although it seemed that she said a lot more than was written down. Still quite an enjoyable experience.
Exciting guidance and dark atmosphere with interesting expositions
A living history down in the tunnels. Do not miss it!! You ll learn a lot and you ll experience some unique moments!

Nice place, well organized, friendly staff, good selection of pools , slides etc easy to keep an eye on the kids without having to walk around constantly, standard pool food , beer , soft drinks , hotdogs , chips , etc etc , would go again .
Staff at the entrance was nice and helpful. Water temperature inside was pleasant. The inner place is rather small but sufficient for 1-3h. There's a nice toboggan, wild river, pool with a slide for small kiddos, sauna & steam, whirlpool and few waterfalls in the main pool. In rainy day perfect stop for us on our way from Prague to Brno!
Inexpensive water park that is kept very clean. You have the choice to go to indoor or outdoor pool. During the summer season, a line at the cashier can be expected as this is a popular destination. You can also expect the parking to be full, don't worry, there are some large supermarkets around where you can park. The outdoor pool has enough grass area to accommodate 2000 visitors. You can rent extras and buy plenty of refreshments.
Good or bad, I don't know. I could not enter because there was no way to speak English at the reception.
Small, water in the whirlpool was rather cold and the outside water could've been warmer as well. No deep water for swimming.
Great place, the kids love it here! Highly recommended.
Good savety area to be with children in hot day.
Not bad, but quite small and old.

Slide 1 of 8
A delightful museum! Enter from the busy street and delve deep into Mahler's story. Lots of info to see and paraphernalia to buy.
Quite extensive exhibition divided into several floors, which will help you learn about both Mahler and his family. The most interesting feature for me was correspondence to his wife on the top floor so be sure to check it out. In general, it is your ordinary museum about an important local composer. The exhibit is nice but do not expect anything on the level of Mozarthaus or Bachhaus you can visit elsewhere. Probably the easiest thing to digest is a nice short video which runs both in Czech and English a loop (however, there is quite a delay between the loop so if it is not playing, you have to explore something else instead). On the same floor there are also numerous large panels describing different aspects of Mahler's life with quite lengthy texts but at least supported by visuals. Another good touch is there are certain interactive features, however some of them do not seem very relevant to Mahler (for example an panel which make you match football clubs to countries or navigate a car through a road full of turns). Overall, a good place to visit with the combo ticket to the underground but I would not come to Jihlava only for this - be sure to plan also some other activities too.
It was worth the train travel from Prague (~2.5 hours in each direction) and the half an hour walk from the train station. At this time there are two Mahler related exhibition: (1) About the childhood and young years of Gustav in Jihlava and (2) a short exhibition about Alma and her husbands.

(Translated by Google) The museum was almost empty when we visited, which is a shame because there is so much to see and hear for what it offers a glimpse into one person's life. On the other hand, we had a lot of time and peace during the visit to go through the panels of GM's life and listen to music in the room designated for that. I recommend visiting when visiting Jihlava.

This popular restaurant puts out a different menu every day, and it offers something for everyone. The service is pleasant and the beer cold and good. Unfortunately the man working in the store is extremely rude. I am new in the city and not familiar with their beer. Because I didn't understand, he chose to be insulting and arrogant. I will never buy beer there. Fortunately I don't have to.
Ježek beer is one of the worst in Czechia

(Translated by Google) Delicious food and great variety. There are a lot of unusual dishes, it was interesting to try something like this for yourself. What I found most interesting was their soft white bread, just crumbly. The sauce is also very tasty. There are really a lot of people smoking on the terrace, which I don’t like. It would be nice to make a couple of tables separately for smokers, or somehow divide them into a zone, because different people still come - some feel bad, some don’t. like it, etc. Otherwise it's a nice place and the prices are quite reasonable.

Nice shopping mall
It's a nice Mall, there are some standart Czech stores. Food court is dirty and messy, won't ever suggest to have a bite here. It's not overcrowded, toilets are free, parking for 3 hours is also free. Good place to leave a car and take a walk to the city center.
Wang wok&sushi.... not worth the time one has to wait. Sorry not sorry. Their sushi ? -10/10 points... just horrible. Never had anything so disgraceful. Even regiojet sushi looks and tastes better than this. Never eating there again.
It would be really nice if the mall would have an information kiosk or an interactive screen to navigate and find the location of shops. And also if there would be a little bit more food options, that would be refreshing!
Easy to reach parking, multiple levels. 3 hours free parking when we visited. Easy access to the shopping center
Good for a small town like Jihlava. Not so many brands, but there are some good brands available like Tommy, CK, C&A etc.
Nice shopping mall, but it's pretty small,so not much to do there.
I'm really like this place to invite in weekends. It's could be better if this place have more places to sit and chill

It’s only mins away from Masarykovo náměstí, the museum people are so nice kindly shown us around and explain the rich history and culture of this area from the past. If you are here you must visit this museum, just the building itself already is a design architect full of history not to mention lots of kids interaction educational elements. I highly recommended people who visit Jihlava must see place!
Really infoative museum with wide range of exponates and it might be interesting as for children, as adults.
Much appreciated with Klára extensive tour on Jihlava’s history and wild life environment. Also super friendly staff and amazing interactive museum setup.

The Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola was erected in 1683 - 1689 on the site of the previous 23 town houses. On its ceiling there is a large fresco by Karel František Tepper, the altar is the work of Adam Lauterer, Josef Kramolín and František Moldinger, a picture of St. Apollonia was painted by František Österreicher. In the front of the temple are statues of nine saints, including the founder of the Jesuit order, St. Ignatius of Loyola. The temple is part of a preserved closed traditional Jesuit building complex, which also housed a college and gymnasium. (Translated by Google) The one-nave, early Baroque church was exhibited by the Italian architect Jacop Brascha in 1683-89 as part of the still-preserved closed Jesuit building complex, which also housed a college and gymnasium. It is a typical early Baroque one-nave building with three pairs of side chapels and a two-tower facade. After the Jesuits came to Jihlava in 1625, the city council set aside a plot of 23 townhouses for its construction. The first mass was held here in 1689, but it did not take its final form until 1725, when the towers were equipped with baroque shafts. The facade is decorated with statues of nine saints, including the founder of the Jesuit order, St. Ignatius of Loyola. The church is regularly open only during services and concerts. In the summer season, you can peek inside through the grill of the main entrance. Unfortunately, at the time of my visit in summer 2022, it was completely closed for renovations.

Love this cinema. Cozy authentic not expensive. Always happy to come here
Nice small movie theatre, good value for money, can buy tickets online with a card, not a great choice of drinks but everyone got something of their preference, were able to leave our puffy winter jackets in a cloak room in the entrance hall so were more comfy in our seats. A bit far away for us to travel to regularly for a movie (about 50 minutes each way) but worth coming back for again sometime.
Kino Dukla is the best cinema in Jihlava concerning the movies on their program. Though, movie 100 Dinge was dubed.

(Translated by Google) The church was renovated in the Baroque style, but under the new facade we find one of the oldest buildings in Jihlava. The peculiarity of the entire building is the tower, which dates from the 14th century. It is unique in that it does not have its own foundations, but is built on pillars that were created by crossing the naves of the church. What is also exceptional about it is that the entire building faces south. In the interior of the church, you can see a wall painting of the attack on Jihlava and a trio of statues. They depict Saint Barbara, Margaret and Catherine. Masses are held regularly in the church. (Translated by Google) The early Gothic three-nave basilica was built together with the Minorite monastery around 1250. The Minorites came to the newly founded royal city, apparently right at its location in the 1340s. The oldest preserved part of the monastery is the basilica, unusually oriented to the south - towards Assisi, the birthplace of the founder of the Order of St. Francis. The church tower does not have its own foundations, but stands on four large pillars, which were created inside the church by the crossing of the two main naves. In the 1830s, the church was rebuilt in the Baroque style, in 1756 a new main facade was created. There was also a cemetery near the church, which was abolished in the second half of the 16th century. At that time, the construction of adjacent townhouses slowly began, and the entire area thus became part of the urban development. In 1784, the church received the status of a parish church, which it still is today. The monastery complex is now part of the Province of the Order of Minorites in the Czech Republic. In the interior of the church, the remains of early Gothic wall decoration and sculptures of saints in the late Gothic style have been preserved. In the chapel of the Divine Heart of Jesus, a large nativity scene is displayed from Advent to Hromnice. The church is accessible during masses, in the summer season it is open to the public.
(Translated by Google) It always seemed to me "small" compared to other churches and somehow "poor" with a lack of investment, but nevertheless the nicest. It is precisely the gems of antiquity and lost glory that make it so magical. The garden of paradise is hidden inside, which is not accessible, but it is enough to peek through the windows. You can climb the wooden stairs behind the altar, from where you can see the park behind the church. There is a lot of beauty to see here, and with a good guide, you will also find an unexpected information awakening.
