Clear water, amazing people, great pubs nearby, place for kids, pets, for everything. As a fellow enjoyer of mountains i rate this. One of the best places i’ve ever been in my life (probably the best). Theres volleyball, pingpong, camping, huge open spots for group activities. Im returning there for sure! Pictures cant express how good it is. The lil swiss bear enjoyed it aswell.

As I stood by the shore, the emerald waters mirrored not only the peaks above but the stillness within me. Each ripple felt like a whisper from nature — a reminder to breathe deeper, live slower, and let beauty seep into the soul. Here, time doesn’t pass; it pauses, so you can remember who you truly are.

Love this lake for a day out. The ferry ride is fun and the views are amazing. The hiking trail is good too – not too hard and really scenic.

The View and Ambience is spectacular, relaxing and close to nature. You feel you are truly on Holiday or embarking on a lovely journey starting from a lovely Boat trip to a Beautiful Hiking Adventure. The Restaurant Ambience is very cozy, scenic, and energizing!! It overlooks the gorgeous Achensee, almost feels like a dream!! The food is average, but I guess the scenery and atmosphere covers for that!! The service is great and very attentive!!

A very charming restaurant on the lakefront. Even though it was quite busy, the staff managed well and service was quick. The food was good — a mix of local and international dishes. You can pay by card in the restaurant, but unfortunately not at the small kiosk next door (selling ice creams and drinks by the children’s playground) — there it’s cash only.

There's this cool spot on Lake Achensee where you can totally chill and relax. They've got a bunch of beach chairs you can use, and you can even go for a swim right there. The cappuccino is on point, and the chips and cake are bomb. The staff are super friendly and attentive, too. The only thing is, it can get a bit crowded when the boat comes in.

The views were absolutely breathtaking, offering a stunning panorama of the surrounding mountains. Although it was a bit nerve-wracking at times due to the height, the ride felt safe and well-managed. The service runs efficiently with two cable cars operating in rotation, so the wait time is minimal. Overall, it was a short but unforgettable journey through some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen.

This is a must see. Fantastic hiking and cycling trails in absolutely stunning scenery. Great little bays for swimming, weather permitting. If you're after peace and quiet this is the place to be. Highly recommended. If anywhere near the area you need to go and visit.

It can get very windy right now so dress appropriately. Remember that you can reimburse your parking ticket with the cable car tickets. We forgot to do it in the morning when taking the cable car but when we asked the gentleman while getting down, he so kindly gave our money back. Their parking is huge so you will surely find a place.

Very nice drive to Achensee. You need to pay for parking. Beautiful views of the lake. Sunbeds, indoor and outdoor pool and direct access to the lake with beach bar and cafe/restaurant on site. Received a watch/band to gain access to areas and lockers. Any purchases made with the band and then paid for at the end of your stay . We only did 2 hrs at the panorama pool so cannot comment on the spa or gym but it did give us access to the lakeside and pools. You can book on site (depending on capacity or book online) and go for longer of course. Note to wear sliders or beach shoes as it's extremely pebbly and hard on your feet getting into the lake. I don't speak German but the cashier was helpful though I did struggle to find how to get thru to the outdoor pool as it's slightly obscured by the showers. It's also nice to walk around the lake itself if you have time. Hard to believe it's 1000 meters up a mountain.

The Atoll Swimming, Panoramic, and Spa & Wellness area was a wonderful experience. The pool was very nice, and the panoramic view of the lake and surrounding mountains made it incredibly relaxing. Being in the warm outdoor pool while the weather was cold added a unique and soothing contrast — it was the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy the scenery. There are plenty of lockers available, and a designated space where you can freshen up or use a hair dryer, which was convenient. However, one thing I noticed was that all the lounge beds were fully equipped with towels and personal items, yet many were unoccupied for long periods. It seems unfair to reserve beds this way, especially when others would like to use them. The spa has a rule that beds are for everyone to enjoy, not for individuals to “hold” all day with just a towel. It would be great if this rule was more clearly enforced to ensure fair use for all guests.

While on holiday in Maurach, my brother and I visited this wellness centre — and we were honestly amazed. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the whole area was much larger than we expected! As you can see in the photo, the cleanliness was excellent, and the modern design made the place a real pleasure to be in. The tap-in and tap-out system with the armbands was super easy to use, which made everything feel effortless. There was a lovely outdoor pool that connected to the indoor one, as well as a separate pool for swimming lengths that was slightly cooler — still really nice and refreshing. They even had a slide, which surprisingly never had a long queue — definitely a plus! And of course, there was a lazy river too, which is always a fun touch. Overall, this is a fantastic, clean, and modern wellness centre with a great location and relaxing pools. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I purchased a full-day ticket for both areas at around €41, even though I arrived at 3 PM. It would be great if there were more flexible ticket options based on the time of entry. To be honest, I was quite shocked to see that access to just the downstairs pools costs €31.90. On a rainy or winter day, that essentially gives you access to only one lane pool and another indoor/outdoor pool — which feels like very poor value for the price. I also visited the spa area, and to me, it was quite disappointing overall. Strangely, the downstairs area felt much warmer than the upstairs. I had goosebumps the entire time from the cold. The only parts I truly enjoyed were the saunas and infrared rooms, simply because I could warm up. Another small but frustrating detail: there was a sink for drinking water, but no cups provided — not very thoughtful. We also ate at the spa restaurant and unfortunately, the food was a letdown. The pizza was overpriced and had rubbery mozzarella, while the schnitzel seemed like it had been fried twice — it was greasy and had an odd taste. That said, I want to highlight something positive: Anett, the server at the spa diner, was extremely kind and helpful — a bright spot in an otherwise underwhelming visit.

We visited the place in August, on rainy day. Visited only for swimming with kids. Many other indoor swimming places were overcrowded and didn't even accept guest. Luckily in atoll they had places with short waiting time before. The pool was full, but it didn't feel that overcrowded. The water is warm, prices are reasonable (assuming family tickets). The place is not huge, but it was really well organized and had zones for kids various ages and adults. The view from swimming area is amazing!

We were only at outdoor side. The part turned out to be a disappointment. Umbrellas and sunbeds are expensive 8 euro / 10 euro and there is no shady place. And unfortunately the kids didn't like the beach, although they generally love all lakes. We wanted to rent a SUP, but they only offered it to us for 30 min, even though the price list has 1 hour, claiming that "begin windy", and its also not chip. On the other hand, the entrance itself to the outdoor section after 3 o'clock was not expensive.

Absolutely loved both the service and the overall experience — everything was awesome! Huge thanks to Mate for not dropping us even though we showed up 30 minutes late, haha. Highly recommend, I arranged a last minute flight and flew with Mate within the same hour. He answered any questions I had and was generally a chill and interesting guide. Flight itself was spectacular with amazing views, and we included a small amount of aerobatics just before we came into land.

Mate was the best person I could have my first experience with. Even from the start: we met at the meeting point, he made me feel extremely comfortable (especially as a girl trying this alone randomly on an evening), we even started talking about our lives and what he loves to do. He also took care that we got the best shots. You just sit down and enjoy, he does the rest. You can pay extra 30 eur for 10 minutes and it’s very much worth it!

Walked in to rent 4 bikes. We had to try at least 10 bikes as most of them had gear/seat issues. The lady that helped us out was a bit impatient although helpful. After about an hour of riding (in which we found more and more issues with the bikes) the chain of one of the bikes broke off completely. Since the shop was on their break we had to walk the bikes back to the shop. At least we got a partial refund. All in all not a great experience at all. Better find another place

Clanky old bike started making a terrible noice and brakes weren’t good. We told them when we returned but refunds or reductions were “not possible”.

I have rented a lot E-bikes all over Europe, and this was by far the worst. The bike was of a low quality to the price of 55€ per day. The Battery didn’t last for the ride in the mountains nearby.

Unforgettable moment in the sky with my dad ! We flew in tandem with Mike and Sepi who instantly gained our trust with their kindness and professionalism. After a smooth take off, the flight felt almost meditative with nothing else than the soft sound of the wind. Views of the forest and the lake were breathtaking from above. I highly recommend, especially if you want to have an amazing time (and even if you have fear of heights like me!)
