I went here with my school this past Tuesday, and I have to say, it was amazing. We did laser tag, paddle-boarding, and pier jumping. We were with Bree and Stephen for most of the tour and they were brilliant! So kind, patient with everybody, explained everything and were very funny! <3 I think it could have been a bit more organised but overall i would definitely recommend.
Overall amazing experience. We were nervous about just going as a family of four but we couldn't have been made felt more welcome. Laura was there every step of the way and the kids loved her, we made rockets, done archery and the netted adventure. Our favourite was the netted adventure but we loved it all definitely worth the money. The dorm room we stayed in had one of the best showers I've had
We had such a brilliant day at Carlingford Adventure Centre, highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, active, and memorable team outing! We were warmly greeted by Andrew at reception, who got us off to a great start. We chose the water activities and went kayaking with Steve, who was absolutely fantastic! He made everything easy and enjoyable, shared some local history along the way, and kept the energy high with fun games on the water. An amazing experience from start to finish—perfect for team bonding!
We went on our Mystery Tour to Carlingford Adventure Centre, and honestly, they looked after us so well from start to finish! Andrew and Charm handled our booking and couldn’t have been more helpful — every detail was spot on. The activities were brilliant fun (and a great laugh!) with instructors who were full of energy, great craic, and really knew their stuff. We stayed in Slieve Foy accommodation, which was lovely and perfectly located. The centre also recommended and booked PJ O’Hare’s for our first evening and Ma Bakers for our second night — both were fantastic choices! We loved every minute of our stay and can’t thank the Carlingford Adventure Centre team enough for making it such a memorable weekend. We’ll definitely be back!
We were here for Corporate Team Bonding over two days. Day one was kayaking and it was absolutely beautiful. The scenery was good and the kayaking was for all difficulties. Loved it. Tristan was a blast, so helpful and encouraging. We had him for both days. And we did the Crystal Maze Challenge on Day two, and we have never laughed so hard. We had a blast. Team well bonded. And a great few days was had by all 🙏👏👍
I had an absolutely diabolical time at carlingford adventure center. This was mainly due to one of the workers that I believe to be called Rob. He discriminated against me and a couple of my friends due to our own personal beliefs. We also happen to be a different colour to Rob. The food was also crap and I have an upset tummy now because of it. I truly do hope that rob gets treated by his manager like he treated me. I hope he loses his job because it would have been a decent experience if Carlingford took the time to hire better workers
It's a very pleasant place for young people. My son attended the five-day camp for the second time and is very happy with it. Next year, he'll be going for the third time and is already looking forward to it. The only downside is the lack of refunds for cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances, and to use the money paid, he has to change the date.
I did a team building for 9 people on high ropes for half a day. Highly enjoyed our time. Our guide for the day couldn't have been nicer and more patient with 9 women terrified of heights! Will definately be back!

Just had a wonderful bit of craic with my Grandson at the Cavern with Leprechaun King Kevin. The whisperer Kevin went out of his way to make my Grandson have a very fun and memorable experience. He really loves children and is a true natural teacher. Dominic
Great spot for children and some stunning views

Great marina, 30 euros a night no matter what size of vessel. Staff very friendly and helpful. 10 minute walk into village which has shops and cafes.
Great location, great everything apart from the state of the toilets. As soon as you walk into the entrance of the marina you're hit with a bang of urine. The ladies toilets aren't cleaned properly and there is even a ring of pink scum in the sinks, which to me means they havent been cleaned in quite a while. Sorry to have such a negative comment. Other than the state of the toilets this place is 100%
HotBox sauna was a great set up. All bases covered. Used the changing rooms and had a cracking swim in the Lough before our booked slot time. Brilliant staff. Best outdoor sauna/plunge I've been to.
Camped in our campervan at the marina. Beautiful location. The Greenway literally starts there so it was absolutely ideal for us and our two large dogs. The pub is pet friendly indoor and out, lovely to have a relaxing pint overlooking the harbour and great to wake up to the view. All staff very friendly, toilets spotless
The views here are the kind of ones that really make you appreciate what's on your doorstep. Between the options of the Greenway walk, apartments, rabelo cafe, campervan parking and, last but not least, the hotbox sauna, you have an abundance of options on hand, of how to get a great experience of the marina and surrounding area. Staff in all aspects of the marina are excellent, from ordering food to booking accommodation to berthing your boat. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to visit.
Great place to park up your motorhome if your looking to go to carlingford, 15 euros for the night . Has showers and laundry plus restaurant and bar
Stayed in our campervan for two nights. Fab spot. Great facilities.
Just a quick call and a coffee at the dock. Lovely place, lots of campers parked up which must be a good thing ...

Parking is not easy, but that’s Ireland. Just plan a few extra minutes and it will help your timing. A beautiful castle. A wonderful story. A whole lot of history.
A beautiful location and the castle is in great condition, it stands overlooking the harbour and just up the road you also have the old abbey, so with great parking why not visit both and make a day of it. Lovely location and a worthwhile place to visit, cheers
We had the guided tour which was amazing, our guide was very informative and entertaining. Included a walk around town also. Highly recommended
A very cool medieval castle ruin, well worth a look if you're in the vicinity. We were able to admire it from the outside which was great, although I'm sure the daily tour at 2pm is even better if you're available, which we weren't.
Great guided tour of the castle. Currently only open for one hour a day from 2pm and tours only. You can buy tickets at the tourist office in town. Very informative guide talking about the history of the castle which is now a ruin. Great views of the harbour. If you don’t book a tour you can still look around the outskirts of the ruin where there are some information boards. Lovely little village to explore too with a handful of cafes and traditional pubs. Note that if you’re travelling from the north you will need euros to pay in the town as most places ask for cash. There are two ATMs we found. The tourist office accept card payments for the castle tour.
Love to visit the north twice three times a year and Carlingford is always worth the stop off. Cold 🥶 but beautiful in February. Very quiet not much activity in the town itself, shops and cafes closed a majority not open. Like a ghost town - though I prefer this 😀 lovely walks with the dog alongside beautiful scenery what more could you ask for (maybe a coffee shop yes, but outside of town) 😆
Perched on the bay this beautiful well preserved castle is well worth visiting. The surrounding community host local restaurants and pubs. If you’re in to hiking or biking this place offers some amazing views as well. Just an hour and a half drive from Dublin.
Good castle. Nice vision, but nothing special. Free parking between 🏰 the castle and sea.

Found them looking for a provider that organizes Hen Parties in Carlingford. Well... great accommodation, nice place, awesome activities, best time ever, couldn't have been more fun!
If you are bothered just book whatever activity/services you need yourself. I booked clay pigeon shooting and a bus through VC. The bus never showed up and we were late for the shooting. Would have been much less admin time for just to arrange it all directly myself.
Town nice, water front lovely but public toilets were shameful. Worst I've seen in years. Neither working sink hanging off the wall no soap no paper a mess!
From start to finish my experience of organising a hen party for 13 people was completely smooth with Visit Carlingford! Richard was a great help and he made recommendations, booked activities and gave advice at every turn. If I was going back, I would without a doubt go back to Visit Carlingford and put my trust in them when organising the hen party!
The help from the Visit Carlingford team made the process of organising a hen weekend really straightforward and as convenient as possible. The cocktail mystery tour brought us to lovely little local pubs we would never have stumbled across by ourselves, everyone had a brilliant time!
First time visiting Carlingford in summer 2018, after 15 years of going to Dublin on a regula basis...! Several stag and hen party groups roaming the streets, but really lovely village with sooooo many castle ruins. Lovely really.
Carlingford is a beautiful place to go for a weekend trip especially with family or friends. Unfortunately this accommodative establishment shares little in common with the town it is in. The service was not up to par during my visit and it was borderline frustrating. Much better off planning urself with places you find online or through friends
Great places in beautiful Carlingford co. Louth. Place is lovely to visit and nice food in pj, mcKevits hotel. Drinks over the weekend here is like Ibiza but in Ireland.

I attended a family christening. I'm sorry to say it wasn't a great experience. There was no interaction with the parents and children. It was all very rushed which is a shame as we had traveled up from Dublin to celebrate with the family.
This is a beautiful Church in a lovely location. Its interior is reminiscent of the old-style Churces of our youth and is both charming and quaint. There was bitterly cold weather on the day we were there to attend a wedding. Sadly it was as cold inside the Church as is was outside. I understand that heating such a building is cost prohibitive, but the older members of the congregation were very uncomfortable - not to mention the Bridal party! However, I would love to pay a summer visit to this beautiful Church.
Very old small church yet great service from talented and inter-active priest.
This is a special place for me and no I'm no bible thumper (forgive my bad grammar) but like many of you I am part of a community yet seldom seen so in my case I'm part of Carlingford more than most its been part of me since I was born in 1962 and my family for generations so I have some authority on Carlingford. North Commons is my heritage home still is my aunt's uncles granddad grandmother and generations before that are all part of St Michael's Church. I believe in my God but a poor Mass goer (bad grammar again) but I am spiritually aware. St Michael's church is a magical place of spirituality. I often sit alone and reflect on my past present and future. I can often hear and see the people long gone to their reward yet they still live amongst us.My present family and friends who I enjoy immensely I see and hear too in my minds eye and the future what will come behind us I see this too with the new born arriving at a alarming rate. St Michael's is here for you too its not a secret society its door are open to everyone. Take in the smells the creaking doors and my beloved steps to the gallery. The statues are as old as Christ himself I reckon but don't take my word for it. Try and take in a mass and listen to the beautiful soft Carlingford accent in unison it takes your breath away. When its all over head to the harbour and take a long look at the Lough and then try to deny God and if you still do, so what he'll still love you and Caringford will steal you heart forever.
Such a peaceful church. Beautiful carved statue on the left as you come in of Archangel Michael.
Lovely quite and peaceful place with all grounds well kept
If you want a place to reflect and time to your self Ideal place to go.
A pretty church with lovely scenic surroundings.

A lovely medieval gate and former gaol, well worth a gander.
Another interesting relic of Carlingford's medieval past. The small jail at the side of The Thosel is noteworthy.
Lovely old stone gate in a town with more than its fair share of old stone buildings. Worth a visit
One of Carlingford's most photographed landmarks. You'll walk through to discover a beautiful main street.
You can feel the "History" behind the Tholsel. Worth a visit. 😊
Very interesting history, looking 👀 good
