Small castle, but one of its kind. Had a lot of fun to walk around. I really enjoyed the bell tower and on old IXth century church with a white pigeon making a nest in one of the windows. Great panoramic view. Inexpensive entrance fee which makes it affordable.
It was cool, but mostly just a ruin. Nice views, interesting history. An inexpensive activity for a cloudy day when the nearby amazing beaches aren’t the first option.
Very nice looking castle from the outside in a small little village. Free parking close by. Unfortunately, the castle was shut although Google and the sign on the door indicated it would be open. Trying to call the number from Google but no one answered.
Worth a visit and a nice surprise that I hadn't planned. A bit of a walk uphill but as castles go, pretty cool and there are some great views from the top.
Brilliant attraction, reasonable entry fee of 4 Euros per adult and 2.50 Euros per child. Lots of information boards, great views, and you could explore the area at your own pace. Not constrained by barriers, so the kids can explore all the books and crannies and climb about on the ruin. Worth an hour or so around the castle, plus opportunity to mooch around the old town square.
El Castillo Medieval de la Santa Creu. The castle and its surroundings form an open-air archaeological park that, through updated museography, explains episodes from the history of the municipality.
Nice place to visit with interesting details, all perfect presented and information are available in English. Nice views over the city.
History of this castle goes on before the invasion of the Greeks and Romans. Ancient Church and priest tower to chant the Bible to ward off evil sports of storms. Very significant castle. If you can, this is a great visit.

This was a really worth a visit and was even better than we had hoped. My husband and I are teachers and had brought our ID with us, so we got in for free so we only had to pay the very reasonable entry cost for our children. There were a couple of school trips on site but it didn't feel like the site was crowded. The staff were very friendly and helpful and really made us feel welcome. The site had lots of interesting reconstructions to help one imagine what life was like for the tribe who lived in the area. There were lots of artefacts to touch and try on so that children felt involved in the visit. There was an English translation booklet of all the information signs. Our children most enjoyed climbing up the Roman siege tower and over the village walls and using the weapons and armour!
The open air museum is a must-see archeological site. The partial reconstruction really makes it feel like you are traveling back in time. As a comment, I would like a bigger gift shop, with lots of iberian or roman style souvenirs. I would like to see more variety of items other than books, souvenirs that keep the citadel’s theme/narrative.
simple, but nice and quite diverse place to visit and explore. the history of the place goes 2.5k years back :o ... you can even take photos with ancient armour, shields, spears and even swords :) our kids loved it!
Exquisite site. Must see. Very well presented 👏
A little hard to get to on foot. There were several school groups on field trips. Very interesting.
Very interesting. You can touch and play. The documentation and signs are ok but could use some improvement on synchronization with the provided booklets. Overall, it is worth a visit.
We visited this archeological site on our way from Altafulla back to the airport. Definitively worth a visit. The staff is very friendly, everything is well explained and arranged with great detail. Unfortunately, it was a bit difficult to match the numbers in the guide (at least in the German version) with the numbers at the exhibits.
Great place - brings the pre-Roman era to life. This type of reconstruction where you can touch and experience yourself how our predecessors lives should be more widespread. Helpful and friendly staff too.

(Translated by Google) We have been one of these days. Say that the location is not exact to what it indicates in google maps. Depending on the location, the aqua park is past the port of Calafell, and is actually before the port. My husband and my son got on the mats, with the bad luck that my husband had a very strong episode of vertigo. The monitor who was with them at all times was watching my son while he told my husband to get in the water so as not to receive the swaying of the mats. When he did not improve, he went to look for a lifeguard. Once in the arena he was treated by several lifeguards and eventually transferred to the hospital. In all that time the monitor was with my son on the mats, until my husband was taken to the hospital. Luckily everything was a scare, but I wanted to write this review to attend to the good performance and how attentive and friendly everyone was, both the Aquapark staff and the lifeguards in the area. Very good experience despite what happened, and my son (5 years old) was delighted to have gotten on and super happy with the monitor who was playing with him all the time.

(Translated by Google) Typical fishermen's house in the town of Calafell, on the seafront, built at the beginning of the 20th century. Where the writer Carlos Barral lived, considered one of the generation of the 50s, he married in the same town, had five children. Admission is free and if you want to visit the top floor you have to pay two euros. It is very well preserved and the rooms are the same as when they lived with their family, you will enjoy the visit. I recommend it to visit calmly, you will enjoy it. Splendid mini-museum of fishermen's lifestyle and culture. Surely you will like it and Don't miss it!
(Translated by Google) Sat 8 Oct 22. Cool! I loved the visit. I highly recommend it. There is a very interesting audiovisual. And a spectacular model of the fishermen's houses. Also models of boats, fishermen's tools and the "maquinilla" (the device with which they took the boats out of the sea because there was no port). The objects on display have been donated by the people of the town. There is a reduced ticket which is ideal if you also plan to visit the Iberian citadel and castle. (Original) Ds 8oct22. Genial!

(Translated by Google) Very interesting visit to the place, although it is a short tour, it is worth seeing the exhibition they have of material that was used in fishing, reviewing the history and the methods that were used at the time to do work at sea, there is also a room with the machinery that was used to drag the boats and collect them towards land. Better to go first thing in the morning to avoid crowds.
