Fascinating museum well worth a visit. Well laid out, very informative and covers several periods not just the V1/V2 era. Reasonable entrance price too €14 .
The place is impressive, and worth visiting. Adding the planetarium is a must, especially if you are visiting woth kids. I missed more information about the site itself, the visit felt more like an overview of WWII. The website is also pretty outdated and hard to navigate. Tip: bring a jacket, it is very cold inside the tunnel!!!
I didn’t know what to expect when visiting this museum — I went in completely blind, having done no prior research and only using ChatGPT to help plan my holiday itinerary. I was genuinely in awe when the huge concrete megastructure suddenly came into view as I drove into the car park. It was completely unexpected and an impressive sight to behold. The exhibits, supported by clear and informative supplementary information, made the visit both engaging and enjoyable. That said, a few areas felt a little empty, and additional displays could have further enriched what was otherwise a very well-presented museum. One highlight was the interactive tablet and headset experience, which elevated the visit and made the museum even more immersive. The on-site café was also a pleasant surprise, serving tasty food and drinks at very reasonable prices.
Took my Band of Gamers tour group here on October 2, 2023. The site was absolutely amazing. In addition to the history of the V2 program, the site also presented information on the slave labour the Nazis used to work on this complex - very sobering. In 2019 my group visited the V3 site Mymoceques but we didn't have time to come here. I'm glad we took the time to see it this time. Highly recommend.
If your near by and even have the remotest interest in history, or humanity, go. But bewarned it hits hard. Think about if taking small children is a good idea or not, there are some articles which will need to be explained, but then should be. Will never forget it.
One of the best museums I've visited. As well as the sheer scale of the WW2 remains, it also tells you why, and how, and the human toll it took to build it. The audio-visio guides are superb and show you graphically how and why it was built. A superb museum, superb and friendly staff and a museum that leaves you astounded by the sheer scale. Superb.
Its a beautiful and well preserved memory of the great and indeed insane ambitions of the Third Reich. Combine this visit with a visit to the Blockhaus or the V3 weapon and you'll see what optimism and a lot of money can do. Even though it's unfinished, you'll have a great impression of this site. The interactive tablets do a good job. Some expositions are sadly only in French and the lack of internet under earth invalidate on the fly translation apps. Pre-downloading translations helps. I'll still give it 5 stars. It will take you from 1914 well into the American space program, with a focus on WW2 in Northern France, the resistance and the eventual liberation.
I highly recomend the visit, very well organized museum with a lot of history.

The architecture is truly beautiful, a stunning example of Northern Gothic style that evolved across centuries, resulting in an impressive and harmonious structure. The intricate stone carvings, soaring arches, and beautiful stained glass (plus famous treasures like the astronomical clock and a Rubens painting) are simply breathtaking. More than just a magnificent building, the cathedral offers a deeply peaceful atmosphere. Stepping inside, you can immediately feel a sense of calm and history, making it a perfect spot for quiet contemplation and appreciation of the artistry and devotion held within its walls.
Very interesting church. It needs hours to be explored in details.
Wonderful historic place. I'm not a religious person, and you don't need to be to appreciate this. You can't help but admire a thing of beauty. So much to see here, and it's free! Well worth a donation after the visit, the way it should be. Ensure you take an hour out of your visit to stop by here, the gardens and town are within walking distance also. Quite magnificent. The architecture, stone work and stained glass windows are pure quality.
A beautiful cathedral, definitely worth seeing.
A beautiful cathedral to appreciate for many reasons. Obviously a loved a cared for place, the old floor is incredible. Stone work and carvings everywhere.
Beautiful cathedral with a huge organ. The front entrance is covered with shell fire damage from WW2 the rest of the building has been respectfully restored.
Very stunning area outside, including gardens. We came as a group and didn't manage to seee thee inside sadly, but worth a visit
It was being disfigured by a scaffolding as we went to visit, but inside the cathedral is still beautiful and worth a stop if you are in the area. It is very well looked after and has beautiful exemples of architecture and art from the past.

Theme park on the former site of a mill, with roller coasters, water slides & a kids' monorail.

Dennlys Parc is an absolute gem. We went there on a Monday with our kids and we were pretty lucky, because we did not have to wait more than 10- 20 minutes at each ride. Despite the weather being nice. I’d recommend the park for kids from 5 years on, since most rides can be used at a height of 1,10 metres. Our oldest is 9 years old and can definitely ride everything there. Eating at the park is easy and not overly expensive. Next to pizza and a restaurant serving fish and chips, there is a hot dog stand which serves good hot dogs. Ice cream , slushys and cotton candy is also available. A few staff members spoke English which was nice since we are not fluent enough in French. We paid 78€ for two adults and two kids. That is absolutely fair for the rides this park offers. We arrived at 9:45am and spend the whole day there. Some downsides we noticed are mentioned below. While these are not nice, I can definitely recommend this park. The following things we experienced are no deal breaking issues, but I still want to mention them for others. Height Requirements: The height requirements at each ride were often loosely ignored or overlooked by the staff. Small kids on a roller coaster clearly restricted for older kids, the free fall tower with little kids on it… To be honest, as parents it made us feel a bit worried. One little girl smashed her face against the restraining seat when the roller coaster (mining cart) stopped abruptly. This happened, because she clearly was too small and her head sitting too low. Rapid rides: A warning sign of getting completely soaked would have been nice. I expect to get wet on such a ride, however, all four of us had to get completely changed (underwear included). Luckily we had some spare clothes in our car. This was no exception: While we waited for our socks and shoes to dry, pretty much 90% of people leaving the ride were soaked and dripping of water. Slushys: The slushy dispenser in the shop say no sugar (sans sucre), but after confronting the staff cause we were sceptical, it does contain sugar. For a diabetic this is dangerous and misleading and should not be advertised as such. All in all I give the park a big thumps up and is worth a visit! All negatives aside :)
Great value family park, brilliant rides and good value food.
Very good family trip. Very big parking organized as there are more than 10 people working on the parking. Bring from home 2 meals at least with snacks, after you enter you can go back to car, no need to take everything at once as the parking is jus 5 min walk or less. Alot of things to do. If you want to buy food from inside its not expensive please check the photo i added. Clean WC toilette. Friendly staff. Buy the ticket online to save time be there at 9:15 to enter max at 10:00 we finished the day at 6 and did not manage to finish all games. There is que all of the games in August.
Perfect place for the kids of all ages. You can dive into the joy and you’ll need about 4-5 hours to make the whole park. There are the several places to dine in.
It was an amazing experience with the kids of 2,8 and 11 years old. Frankly speaking we (parents) were also having fun 😁 thanks for great organization and magnificent memories ❤️
Brilliant. Hardly any queuing. V family friendly. Perfect for 3 to 10 year olds. Much more enjoyable than Legoland at a fraction of the price!
A last minute decision to go during our holiday and initially I thought it was aimed at very young families- in reality it caters for everyone in a wonderfully clean, reasonably priced theme park. I saw granddads and toddlers enjoying the same rides which was heart warming. A real teenager (and a wannabe teenager) found the rollercoasters to be fast and scary enough. The water ride got us all soaked and at the end of our visit we all left with great memories of the day and smiles on our faces.
Such wonderful staff and great for children of all ages, our 3 year old and 5 year old both had plenty to do! Would be back!

Very pretty, clean, and safe park with toilet facilities, play park for children, carousel and sweets / treats to buy (accept card payment). Great visit with our 5 year old
Lovely gardens. Plenty to see. Good refreshment, food, ice cream and sweets outlet. Nice play area for children.
A very pleasant stop over at Holly driving from Calais to Bruges. The quick coffee break turned into a very beautiful autumn colour walk and the local market at the square was a cherry on top
Beautiful, massive and well maintained garden great for a long walk. Surrounding sound of birds and astonishing views can truly put your mind at ease. There is also a little little zoo at the back of the garden with peacocks, chickens, ducks, pigeons and even deers. It's also free! The only fee you have to pay is for a carpark if your planning to come by car. Definitely worth coming.
Absolutely beautiful park with varied landscapes. From flowerbeds to manicured gardens, quiet forest, to kids carousel and delicious icecream/coffee. Still haven't seen all of it. And with a quick walk through the tunnel you're at Place Foch for restaurants, patios and stores. Free parking around the park.
Stunning park! Loads to do here other than take in the breathtaking gardens! there are fitness areas throughout, off the track walking as well as the normal paths. A lake, ponds, various types of gardens, ducks, goats and even a food area and a traditional merry-go-round. Free parking also outside and with a 10 minute walk into town to the bars and restaurants as well as the historic cathedral, it's well worth a visit. We had a look round for around 90 minutes which was a perfect time for us to see everything.
Beautiful park with a free zoo and play ground. Quite a surprise find for me. It is very good for taking family out to have a relaxing afternoon.
Such a beautiful place with paths for a lovely walk through woods, gardens and fields. Very relaxing.

Nice nature park, with fully paved walkways, nice scenery and a hidden observatory at the end of the path. Great for a quiet walk and a paradise for bird lovers (must visit the observatory, and make sure to take your binoculars along!)

(Translated by Google) Peaceful setting and very clean wooden path. Beautiful walk in the heart of nature. However, I agree with some of the comments about the length of the path, as it's not a loop and you have to turn around because the path is small to cross when it's busy. Free parking at the beginning of the trail. Great 👍 (Original) Cadre apaisant et chemin en bois très propre. Belle balade en pleine nature. Very cool ruins to go see! One thing we found interesting was all the heads were missing from the statues. It is fenced off to preserve the ruins but you can still get up pretty close to them. There is the main portion at the front then you can see the outline of where all the other buildings used to be as well. You can walk around the outline area. It seems really well taken care of.
The ruins are very impressive and there is a nice park here. Would recommend visiting in good weather only as most of the site is no longer there. From here you can walk along a single road all the way to the cathedral.
Awesome park, the ruins are pretty interesting. The ruins are fenced off. Still a excellent place to have a picnic or relax
Beautiful serene place.
You can't go inside, but you still can enjoy this ruined from outside the barrier. They put also a miniature to see how it was in the past. There is also a park and you can sit arround but too bad there is no cafe nearby for us to sit while enjoying this historical ruined.
Ruin with parc, lovely if weather is nice. There is not much left of the abbey but what's left is still impressive. The statue in front of the abbey has been cleaned and looks immaculate now. It is a free place so if you are around it is worth seeing. Could do with more information though, like some plaques here and there.
This is the place to be if you like history. It's loaded with a great history of religion beliefs. This is an important place of the city. One of the biggest and oldest abbeys in the region. Everyone can visit the ruins for free.

Very helpful and pleasant staff. Beautiful English spoken. Thankyou 😊
Friendly, knowledgable and enthusiastic school who speak excellent English amongst other languages. Well stocked with information leaflets on the surrounding area and city.
Very helpful facility, set in a nice quiet haven near the cathedral. Worth coming here to pick up advice on St Omer and beyond.

The staff were very helpful, although we had to inquire about the Senior Citizen reduction (we were flattered as we obviously looked too young!). When we visited we had the place to ourselves. It was very well laid out with lots of information in English.
Hidden gene absutuley fabulous ceremic collection and music instruments in the drawing rooms are wonderful to pay a visit.
Brilliant, interesting place. I'm happy to recommend.
I really liked the use of colour and the way they have displayed the artefacts and paintings in this museum. I recommend the temporary exhibition about savoir-faire. Warm and friendly staff.
Very well done Museum! On Sundays there is no entry fee.
This is a really lovely museum. The old salon rooms are cool to visit but the sometimes surprising and quirky other little exhibitions are also well worth seeing. A great way to curate a small museum.
They saw my friend had swollen ankles and brought her a walking cane chair! She was able to fold it open in front of any painting she wanted to sit and observe longer.
Quite interesting with odd collections ie pipes. Was originally a private house and still has that feel. Staff welcome could be improved.

I visited here to lay a wreath at the grave of my Gt Gt Uncle, J T Dolphin, Gunner, Royal Field Artillery, UK. Died 1918, aged 19 years. RIP
Outstanding. Immaculately kept. My great grandfather is buried in the ww1 war cemetery here and we try and visit each year at the start of our holiday in France.
Immaculate combination of architecture and floral abundance.
Interesting, according to Richard Clumpston Jones' book 'St Omer and the British Connection', of the 3,438 servicemen and women buried here here from the 1st & 2nd World Wars, over 100 are from the Royal Flying Corps or Royal Air Force (as it became) making this cemetery the largest grouping of RFC/RAF personnel in Europe. It's certainly worth visiting these carefully tended graves.
A large cemetery, but like all the Commonwealth War Graves, it is immaculately kept. Worth seeing if you have not been to one of these very moving sites. This one is on a busy road, but parking is not a problem. It is a short drive to the WW1 airfield in St Omer
Visited a number of times now to pay respects to 1 of 4 brothers to fight and 1 of 2 to not return home. RIP Pvt T. Rivington. Lest we forget.
Found Great Uncle Ephraim. RIP
