Expansive place of worship with room for 7,000 people, with an underground museum & guided tours.

The La Plata Cathedral is impressive from the outside. It is very tall, and you can see the entire building clearly from the plaza in front of it. Across the plaza, the municipal building adds to the overall atmosphere of the area. Inside, the dome is very high up and magnificently decorated. One thing that really stood out was the confession boxes. The woodwork there is very detailed and intricate. We have not seen anything like it before in a cathedral. There are also many colourful stained glass windows that are beautifully decorated. Overall, the cathedral is grand and welcoming. It is definitely worth a visit when you are in La Plata.
The catedral is really nice and is open for everybody. If you want to visit the museo and the tower it costs 10$ per adult. The museum is underneath the church and they even have a small gift shop. The fime when I visited only the Jesus tower was open for visitors. You can go to two floors. With an elevator where a guy tells you important historical facts about the Catedral de la Plata. The view from the top floor over La Plata is nice.
Very beautiful church - really huge and located in a nice area of La Plata. Visitors should definitely add this as number 1 priority if they are visiting the city. Both the internal and external areas are incredible and the church js located jn a very nice area, with a park and lots of people.
Worth your visit to La Plata. To sit down and enjoy the silence. Enjoy beautiful architecture.
This cathedral is beautiful and worth touring. Don't forget about the museum and crypt either. It's amazing detail is just stunning to see in person. Photos do not do it justice.
such a historical and beautiful place to visit. I highly recommend to go into the museum and to use the elevator that shows you such a great view from the top of the catedral
Outstanding beautiful cathedral. Totally worth the visit
You don't expect this kind of architecture in South America and you definitely don't expect a Cathedral with this level of detail to be made of brick. The design was incredible and the history behind the building is unique as well. The interior is just as grand as the exterior and has a holy aura to it. Definitely worth stopping in for a minimum of 30 minutes. The stain glass alone is worth it
Museo de La Plata

Museum
Children's Museums
Major museum of anthropology, geology, zoology, palaeontology & botany in a Neo-classical building.

We spent 4 1/2 hours exploring this museum. It was absolutely amazing. I would say this is a must do if visiting La Plata.
The museum boasts a remarkable collection. While I intended to view all exhibits, the lights were unexpectedly extinguished, and we were asked to vacate the premises. They should be allowing visitors at least 15-20 minutes to complete their exploration once they have entered an exhibit area.
Great natural history museum. Really enjoyed all of the dinosaurs and fossils. The geological exhibits were also very impressive.
Awesome museum! Cheap to enter and full of wonderful exhibits including fossils, animals, plants and rocks! Staff were friendly too! Would recommend visiting if you get the chance. It's about an hour on the train from Buenos Aires so it can be a trek but its worth it.
Amazing museum, but a complete pain to reach (assume 2 hours from Buenos Aires) Definitely a rival to the natural history museum in London! It is on thr small size, but well worth a visit
This museum allows you to learn about the local fauna now and in the past, through fossils and skeletons. They also have objects from the originary peoples from south America. Very nice visit. I went in January 2022 and it costed 500 pesos (2-4 dollars) at the time.
Awesome. Great for kids. A fantastic old school museum in a gorgeous building, more dinosaur bones and animal skeletons and taxidermy animals than anyone would ever need. Upstairs has more modern interactive exhibits, but the first floor is why you come. Truly a world class collection of dinosaurs on display. If you have kids, this will be the highlight of their week.
Interesting museum with a huge selection of artefacts of the pre civilization, animal world, Egypt, Inka empire and much more. The museum is really traditional but therefore quiet old fashioned. Price was cheap, inside is also a small cafe place to rest.

Free to enter! It's like Disneyland, but without the lawyer infested Disney stuff. The first area is very good, with some great places for food and slushies. Big portions of food. The only downside is that the airplane simulator was absolute garbage. I paid good money to go in a box that shows low quality drone footage stitched together of the park. It's like looking at a 240p video on YouTube from 2006.
One of the best place to spend the day with children in Argentine. If you are going by car, try to arrive early, because the only one entrance is very crowed. Up. Amazing litlle castles. Down. It has only one car entrance, there are some building which need to be restored, there are some spiral stair which go to the upper towers that are not available.
Very fun day, a big, park like setting. We enjoyed the plane and riding around on bikes the most. Hope they keep improving and returning it to its former glory
Awesome park, ticket prices are very cheap, and the place is huge and filled with games for the kids. Go with the entire family, you won't regret!
Really a big place and a pretty one. Perfect if you have kids. Saturday and special on Sundays looks like half of city are there 😁 but in summary a beautiful place to take a walk. Some builds need some work, a bit old or with menor issues.
Free pass place. Wonderful parks, everything ready to play. The city has a mini airport, mini bank, mini theater, mini castle and a show for kids in the afternoon.
Great public park with many attractions for the kids. Free entrance. Plenty of places for eating. Also games
Arriv3d early and a lot of venues are still closed. This disneyland sttle place will shock you when you knew it was proably walt disney himself might be inspired by republica de los niños as this place was established 5 years before the first disneyland. This place needs renovation to get more attractions, but it was a nice place, given its age.

Stadium
Sights & Landmarks
Soccer & events stadium opened in 2011 with a state-of-the-art membrane roof, boxes & LED screens.
Slide 1 of 8
A unique stadium for concerts. Been there for the Rolling Stones and the U2 gigs and i really enjoyed them. The sound was good and so was the security (they were a little too strict, though, and they wouldn't let you in carrying a water bottle or a mirror...) As for the rest, if they tell you to watch a concert there, go ahead. Just make sure you travel early (the highway can get jammed) and also find and book parking space in advance. Los Tilos Rugby Club usually offers cheap parking space and even food trucks for those parking there.
Easy to reach by car and not too far from the city center (a taxi should cost not more than $4). Upkeep of the stadium should be improved, especially restrooms
You can see very good from every seat and spot. The toilets are small and not so easy to access in half time of the game. The cafeteria is small and expensive, better to bring from home or buy outside. There is heavy sequrity at the entrance.
Wow. Amazing experience. I went to see Coldplay live! The stadium has incredible views to enjoy any show.
Nice inside. Very poor small bathrooms. No official parking place. Just 2 main opposite gates. Difficult access to the city during the events.
I was there for Bruno Mars's show. The place can be filled and emptied quickly and the lighting is good. Don't buy anything in there.. they abuse prices.
The Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades is a stadium located in the city of Santiago del Estero in the homonymous province of Argentina. The stadium was inaugurated on March 4, 2021, before the 2019 Supercopa Argentina match contested by River Plate and Racing Club. President of Argentina Alberto Fernández attended the ceremony.

The Plaza Moreno is a really nice Plaza right before the Catedral. The Plaza has four rectangles which symbolize the four season. It was really nice to be able to read about the plaza. It is definitely worth a visit when you are in La Plata. The Catedral can be entered and is nice to look around. The museo of the Catedral is nice, however, I’m not sure if it is justified the 10$ entrance fee.
Incredible plaza. one of my favorites.
One of the most beautiful locations in La Plata
The geographical centre of the city with beautiful gardens and views of the Cathedral and Municipal Palace. A great place to run in the city. It's a pity that the pavement is all broken. A dangerous trip hazard.
Nice place.. Better to be here before 2100hrs.. LA plata city is good.. Night life is good
Beautiful and huge square, a bit crowded on Sundays, usually people go with friends to spend time sitting on the floor
Nice place! But be aware Of thieves

There's amazing events with marketplace-like stands every so often, around once a month. They're usually cultural and authentic and offer live music or shows. For example, today was the Fiesta de la Luna (of the chinese community) and there were lots of food stands with authentic chinese and japanese food, commercial stands, and one kung fu or tai chi show after the other.
It was good to visit the site that honours those who gave their lives. Respect to them and their loved ones. But you need to do something with your coffee shop! $8,300 for below average cappuccino & a very stale chocolate muffin is outrageous & disrespectful! Despite the high charge, the toilets are not far off a 'Trainspotting' experience. SHOCKING!
Beautiful place to relax, immerse yourself in history and drink a mate. There are lots of benches, bins, a playground for kids, trees with shade and a Cafe. We used the toilets of the Cafe, but they weren't very happy about it - public toilets would be nice.
I prefer parks with green spaces, like Saavedra Park or the forest (near the faculties area) but it's really nice to spend the week day there with friends
Nice square/park, most of the time there's something going on here during the weekends.
It's great when there is an event, within walking distance of downtown, great for families and pets

(Translated by Google) We were there last weekend on a guided tour of the Observatory. It was an interesting and impressive place. The guide who accompanied us was an astronomy student from the University of La Plata. In addition to being an expert, she was very kind; her passion for studying the history and development of this place was evident. It was her last day as a weekend guide, as her meager salary didn't allow her to afford to finish her studies. These wonderful spaces, from which the boys and girls emerge in awe, are ours and we must take care of them. They are part of our education. I am 28 years old and I had never been to a planetarium or an observatory. I learned a lot; they made me want to study and continue learning. I left fascinated and excited. Thank you to the boys and girls who work there, as well as to the researchers, for maintaining such an incredible place. Beautiful building with an interesting history. The old elevators are still functional and an experience of their own. It's great to see the history but also that the building is still used for modern functions.
Beautiful building but in desperate need of repair, many government agencies and a mostly unattended museum. It has a bit of a creepy vibe which made it a unique experience. I would most definitely recommend checking it out.
A former train station, this building turned into a arts and convention center. This is a declared Argentinian Heritage building, was one of the principal train stations from early 1900 in La Plata. The art gallery always has nice exhibit, and the great hall shows some interesting sculptures while no used as a convention space.
Amazing place to admire all kinds of arts. There's also a place where they offer workshop the whole year. I'd like to attend some of them cuz they seem to be pretty interesting.
A beautiful building to meet.
Awesome place to visit if you are a tourist.

Very good! I spent more than two hours taking pictures and exploring the house. Make sure you rent a car if your departing from Buenos Aires. Otherwise it will be a long trip by train or bus.
The house is great but renovation in some places needed. There is a hole in the floor of the bathroom on the 2 floor and some pieces of paper everywhere with information to not use or nought furniture which look ugly. Staff is friendly and shares information about the house, I appreciated it. Booking through instagram is not convenient, not everyone has it, they HAVE TO make a website or booking through google maps available, especially for old people, let’s have some respect to them. Besides that everything was good.
If you like Architecture, this house is a MUST. The experience visiting the House could take you 40 minutes to 1 hour including the speech from the guide. Designed by the Architect “Le Corbusier”. Unesco World Heritage
Cool, inexpensive admission, interesting peek into what the original owners lives would have been like. Beautiful views of the plaza/park across the street.
Check the times it is open before going to avoid disappointment. The city also has a guide you can access with this QR code.
The Curutchet house is part of UNESCO world heritage program. This house is the only proyect from Le Corbusier y Latín América and is a perfect example of his architecture manifest. This house is eclectic, between modern architecture and brutalism, it is located in the middle of 2 pre existing houses and it articulate their facades. The house has lots of sensitive details that make it unique, and its really incredible the level of coherence achieved even when Le Corbusier designed it from the distance only with sheets and photos from the site. This house is real because of the good relationship and collaboration between the local architect Amancio Williams, another architecture master, that take care of adjusting, and fine tuning the project while building it. He was LC's eyes on Argentina and everything was resolved overseas by letters in a back and forth analog communication. This is a masterpiece, organically resolved and masterly design from conjunction of LC's mastermind and Williams's precise harmony with his ideas.
Interesting but foreigners from outside Latin America pay $6000 entry (6 usd). Includes a pamphlet and a talk, both in Spanish. Also you have to wait outside the house for someone to let you in, which isn't totally clear.
The only work in south america for Le Corbusier (pioneer swiss architect) If you are foreigner you'll pay 150 pesos, if local 60 or 30, if local student 15 pesos. You have about 30 minutes to visit all the house alone. Take photos and set a little bit on the terrace. There are sketches for the place exhibited on 2nd floor, plus some of the house plans & sections.

(Translated by Google) The architecture of the church is admirable. They hear confessions and say Mass daily, but currently there are four Salesian priests, plus a parish secretary and a doorman, with exorbitant salaries who are useless. They don't answer emails, unless you ask for their nickname for donations. The Parish Secretary's service IS USELESS. The Salesian priests currently in place are very isolated and far from the people. One thing worth highlighting: the wonderful healing Masses celebrated one Sunday a month at 4:00 p.m. (they last more than two and a half hours, but are recommended). The Basilica needs to change its way of operating: open itself to its neighbors, answer questions, answer emails or calls. All basic things that it doesn't do.

It was built in 1883 at the site where the first mass was celebrated in La Plata. It was elevated to basilica in 1997.
