Main square located in the heart of the city , they have closed the streets for pedestrians to be able to walk freely around this area ... You can get here different kind of food such as ice cream , fruits ,chips and other street food. And if you are lucky you can spot the Galeras volcano from here
Many events are held in this area in pasto, when there aren't events it is quite disorganized, however, from here you can get transportation to the bus terminal and to the airport. Check the corners for taxis, you can ger ride share or private.
This is a great square for people watching. Watch out for the kids in electric toy cars, though - one of them ran over my foot! 😂
The main square of the City , there you have good sunsets and views from Galeras Volcano. The church close to this is so special inside.
They just laughed up the Christmas tree.
Plaza Nariño is THE central square in Pasto!
Nice place to buy brand clothing stuff for shopping also inside there's the Alcosto market the prices inside are quite competitive, I love the experience.

A stunning, meticulously preserved house museum, where every room tells a unique story. It was acquired and restored by prominent figures who dedicated it to the educational and cultural enrichment of the city of Pasto. The museum is exceptionally well-maintained and thoughtfully guided by Sonia, who patiently led us through its spaces, sharing fascinating insights into the many elements of profound historical and cultural significance housed within its walls.
I went here on a Monday afternoon about 3:00 p.m. Currently, the admission costs 5,000 pesos and includes a guided tour. You are not allowed to walk around the museum by yourself. The tour was fairly interesting and took about 1 hour... Note that the tour is all in Spanish.
Beautiful place with a lot of history inside. Should visit, free entrance with a tourist guide.
Interesting history. Beautiful building.
A visit you must do! Specially in Carnaval de Negros y Blancos! With the "Festival de Artesanías". There are amazing collection of handcrafted pieces of art! Splendid food from the region! Wow!
Beautiful craftsmanship! Amazing details, but overpriced products sadly. Overall an incredible experience! The food was delightful.
It's a museum born from a private initiative to save the colonial houses remaining in Pasto. The place has now been transformed into a traditional equatorian museum and you get a private visit for 3$. Really interesting and worth it!
A small but very good exhibition of early Colombian artisanry. Cheap guided tour, won't take long, and worth the time.

An interesting museum, especially for those who do not experience the Carnival. The history through the years in English and Spanish.
It is located on a former slaughterhouse. The colours of the figures and their sheer size surprised me. I wish there were detailed descriptions about the big ones. The smaller carved sculptures show great skill and their creator is a recognized figure in the city.
A place full of many culture, culture Pastos and Kichwa. A great fine arts perfomance, Pasto is one of the most cultural cities in Colombia, in special for the traditions of this place and Blancos Y Negros Carnival, in the countryside people talk in Kichwa because Pasto is so near of the border with Ecuador. By other side the great Galeras Volcano is a great touristic place for people, I LOVE THIS AWESOME PLACE
Amazing little museum, perhaps the most colourful place on earth!
I love this place. Is as colorful as the carnival. Easy to walk through, good parking lot and it's for free. Should visit.
Only a few rooms but it gives a good impression of the artistic work going into creating the Carnaval floats. A quick visit with parking in the courtyard.
Really neat way to see some of the history of the black y white festival in Pasto. Some of the previously winners of the float contests are displayed in this museum. They really are neat to see and the museum is free.
Nice place, I like it because it has the historical record of several art pieces made for the carnival in different years, it also has a time line to show how the carnival has been evolving.

Small but fine and pedagogic collection of ancient craftwork, jewels etc. with instructive explanation. The temporary exhibitions are also worthwhile .
More than amazing. Very organized, lighting is perfect. It is so beautiful. There is a guide and the entrance is free.
Always a great place to visit. Free access!
The only reason why I visited the gold museum was because you get a free ticket whenever you do a free walking tour. The gold museum is near to the starting place of the walking tour. It’s in a building on one of the top floors so you can get a good view of the city. The museum was really good just a bit small, they even had a stimulation of gold production in the past. At the end of the tour, you can buy gold and different stones.
This museum is very good though it is missed. Though they do have a few gold pieces on display, their highlight artifacts are ceramic. We recommend those interested in ancient cultures take the time to visit.
Only opens at 10am and free entrance! I was lucky to start when the guide was waiting for a decent group to form, I learned a lot about southern colombian culture and history. I would highly recommend!
Informative, well thought out exhibits on regional indigenous peoples history and culture.

(Translated by Google) In the Mariano Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mercy, on January 2nd (2nd) the Offering of Flowers and Products of the Earth to the Virgin of Las Mercedes "Ofrenda a la Michita Linda" is celebrated as part of the beginning of the Carnival of Blacks and Whites of Pasto. Since 1756, the inhabitants of the municipality of Pasto have recognized the Virgin of La Merced as "Governor of Pasto" after, in the same year, the city council made a promise to celebrate the patron saint festivities in honor of the Virgin every September 23 and 24 after having implored his divine protection against the threats of the Galeras volcano that is located in the geographical territory of the same city. The Carnival of Blacks and Whites of Pasto, which has its origin on January 6, 1912 with the "whitey party", united with the "black party", which dates back to 1607 for the day off granted to black slaves by the Spanish crown and institutionalized in 1926 with the celebration by the students of the city's college and the election of the first Carnival queen, Romelia Martinez. For some decades now, the Carnival of Blacks and Whites of Pasto has begun with pre-carnival activities and especially with the "Offering to Michita Linda" which consists of an offering of flowers and fruits of the land, by the authorities of the 17 townships in which the rural area of the municipality of Pasto is organized, politically and geographically, accompanied by civil and military authorities of the municipality and the government of the department of Nariño. This offering represents a cultural expression of ancestral Catholic and local indigenous religious syncretism. Each township makes its offering of flowers and fruits of the land with its corregidor in the company of people who carry the offering and a banner with the name of each township. Likewise, the mayor of Pasto, the Governor of Nariño, the police commander, the executive director of Corpocarnval and the carnival queen and other civil and military authorities. All offenses are presented before the Virgin of Mercy and delivered to the ecclesiastical authorities headed by the Bishop of Pasto. Finally, a Carnival Choreographic Collective of Blacks and Whites from Pasto enters as a musical and dance cultural manifestation. After the offerings, the ecclesiastical celebration begins and the beginning and completion of the Carnival of Blacks and Whites of Pasto is blessed.

(Translated by Google) The Temple of La Merced was built in Pasto at the beginning of the 17th century with the arrival of the Mercedarian Fathers with the conquerors, and they instilled devotion to the Virgin of Las Mercedes as “Patroness and Captain” of the city. Later, since 1756, the festival is celebrated in his honor every September 24. The image of the Virgin is Spanish, she arrived in Pasto during the reign of Charles V. Her crown was made of gold and precious stones in the hands of Ecuadorian artists, she carries the baton of command of the royalist colonel Basilio García who fought against the liberator Simón Bolívar in the Battle of Bombona. However, the original sculpture burned in a fire caused by candles left by parishioners, which is why the current sculpture is an exact replica of the original. The earthquake of 1834 caused serious damage to the city, which is why several temples had to be rebuilt, including the work of La Merced in 1916. The Sanctuary of La Merced has been classified as a heritage jewel of Pasto. Its structure and decoration correspond to colonial art with a classic romantic style from the 12th century. It is made up of three naves and a transept, which together give the shape of a cross. This temple is distinguished by the solidity of its columns, inside you can see Corinthian capitals, cornices and wood carvings and of course the altar next to the presbytery wall where the Virgin of La Merced poses. On a lectern the church preserves the sculpture of the baby Jesus burned during the fire that also damaged the sculpture of the Virgin. The church has a very outstanding work in the world, it is a spiral-shaped wooden staircase known as “the eye staircase.” This work carried out by the master Lucindo Espinosa is of great admiration because its structure does not have an axis of adherence, it is said that there are only three in the world of his style. You will be able to visit one of the most visited temples in the city of San Juan de Pasto, there you will live the experience of appreciating a beautiful architectural work, in addition to its religious art. So far so good. Not too crowded on ordinary days and the place is clean

Conveniently located in the heart of Pasto, this mall offers a wide variety of retail stores, ranging from popular international brands to local boutiques, ensuring that shoppers can find everything they need under one roof. Love this place, specialy Azucar.
I love this mall. Lots of shops, and good food. Nice parking lot and easy access. Must ve visited
I had many more expectations to the mall, but sadly it didn't meet most of them. You will find many stores to buy in, but the very well-known ones are not present here. You will find most things you need, but it still lacks stuff.
I have been there a couple of occasions and I love the rhythm of the city, it doesn't stop. The city is crowded so this gives a constant sensation of movement making the city quite exciting. The people there are nice and kind, like when I wanted to find a place where I could buy a phone, I asked someone by the street and immediately gave me some locations and places where I could buy the phone, like ALKOSTO or Unicentro mall, even small shops that for him were trustworthy. Pasto also has wonderful places to visit, like the religious architecture that mixed with the modernity that the city offers, gives the normal tourist an interesting view of conserving the past with the actual progress. But one building that stands above all must be Teatro Imperial de la Universidad de Nariño, it's huge and its elegance and superb decorations give it a unique beauty. In regards to prices and expenses, Pasto is a forgiving city because you don't need a lot of money to buy stuff for yourself and that is very much appreciated, especially when you visit a city for the first time.

Inside it is beautiful, and here you can find an image of the Divina Pastora (information if you are a visitor to Venezuela and very specifically to Barquisimeto). In front there is a beautiful square. Another fact is that the church is well above the regular height of Pasto. (Translated by Google) It would be great if they cleaned the church atrium, because its beauty is overshadowed by the pigeon manure, so you have to move carefully and quickly to avoid accidents with the manure. Another recommendation is to maintain the interior of the church... on the other hand, the religious relics are beautiful, it is peaceful to enter the church.
