Excellent local museum with real dinosaur bones to see! The life size replicas of dinosaur skeletons are also very impressive and make you feel astonished that creatures this big were once on earth. We were given a free tour, in English, of the dinosaur room, and the room which talks about the history of the town and the oil company by a lady working there was born and raised in the town. This was fantastic and really brought life to the whole experience. The value for money is unbeatable. We paid 100pesos which is less than 10p in GBP£.
Fantastic place. One of the paleontologists came out and introduced himself and told us he had one of the staff who is learning English coming to guide us. Also he made it clear we could come find him if we had any questions. A small but well worth it place to visit
This is a surprising little gem. A small museum housing information regarding Argentine dinosaurs. The guides offer detailed instructions formation, even though in Spanish they work hard at ensuring understanding.
Small but impressive museum with life size replicas of local dinosaur skeletons
The museum is closed indefinitely. They have not updated their website or told the local tourist information offices who are still tell long tourists it is open in Neuquén. It’s a total disappointment - although you can peer through the dirty windows if you want.
So much great material ! I would hope that they invest more on this museum.
Didn't have the luxury of exploring as I didn't have the correct currency. They would not accept debit/credit cards
world's biggest dinosaur. amazing

(Translated by Google) Travel diary – Cutral Co, undated sunset We arrived as the sun began to bleed over the plateau. The wind, which never sleeps in this part of the world, welcomed us with its dry howl. There was no one. Only Christ, standing, like a vertical plain. Imposing and quiet, made of concrete and resistance. It didn't look like a statue: it looked like a wait. I climbed the stairs like someone ascending to trial. Each step crunched on the gravel with a disproportionate echo. As I approached, the city was lower, smaller, and he grew. Not in size, but in presence. As if he were alive and tired. The Christ of Cutral Co does not look at the sky: he looks straight ahead, like those who do not resign themselves. His open arms do not bless; contain. And yet there is a violent tenderness in him, a love hardened by dust and years of broken promises. In the distance, the oil tanks shone like mirages, and for a moment, the world seemed to be suspended between two fires: that of matter, and that of faith. I didn't pray. I just stood there, looking at him, as if just being there was enough. As if he was also waiting for something. At the base of the cross, someone had left a handkerchief tied to the rusty iron. The wind shook him like an endless goodbye. (From the Travel Log, Cutral Co, April 2025). No había nadie. No recé.

(Translated by Google) The first room was filled with dioramas of South America. I really liked it! I'd seen dioramas before, but I'd never been to a room dedicated to them. It's a great experience to spend 15 minutes on your visit to Cutral Co. Plus, there's a young guide who's very committed and enthusiastic about what she's telling you. I liked it more than the Carmen Funes Museum because in the dioramas, you can see the history of the city, its landscapes, its resources, the dinosaurs, the townspeople of the 1990s, a great demonstration by a people in defense of work! (Original) Primera sala se dioramas de Sudamerica. Me re gustó!
