Amazing view. There is the designated viewpoint with platform on the one side but you should stop and look on the other toward the ocean as well.

We were lucky with the weather, so a really interesting panorama opened up from this viewpoint. You could actually see the entire island of Terceira and the entire color palette of meadows, pastures, forests and shrubs in countless shades of green. And of course the Atlantic and the sky in shades of blue. Beautiful.

Beautiful landscape! We all loved it. It was really windy and a little bit cooler than on the coast side. At first we couldn't find it because there are 2 Serra do come on Google maps! The road from the south (we came from Ribeirinha) was really narrow, a typically agricultural road and we met with more than one tractor. Luckily we didn't need to reverse, this would have been really tricky on the small road.

A lovely view and a really fun drive up. There weren't a lot of people when I visited, although it's more of a quick stop to take a scenic photo. There were also cows resting up here when I visited.

Great spot. Fantastic views all round. On one side of a huge collapsed caldera with a patchwork of fields in the basin and the rim visible on 3 sides and cones towards the sea. Also home to just about every radio mast in the Azores. Well worth a visit.

Update 30 May 2020 - Coasteering again! Another fantastic day and much needed after months of everything being closed. We had the best time jumping into the ocean and climbing around the rocks with an incredible view of the coast. Cesar, Diogo and Manny keep you safe the whole time with all the proper gear, instructions and jokes 👍 Sept 2019 - We tried both canyoning tours, the adventure trail and coasteering. All are AMAZING experiences! Best way to see the beauty of this island.

Amazing experience my wife and I wont forget. Ample parking at their location and a short drive to the canyon. A bit of work to get the gear on and then off to the adventure. Our guides were amazing and we both had a ton of fun. Even a light snack after. Highly recommend.

A ton of fun! Went through the ziplining course that included rappelling and a rope bridge. Deogo and Emanuel both spoke English and had plenty of jokes, very professional and knowledgeable about what they're doing. We got to see a part of the island we didn't know was there. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the island. Will be going back. Highly recommend setting up a reservation online first. They provide a small snack and some boots if you don't have any suitable shoes for the trail.

Our experience was great from the moment we booked. The website was simple to navigate, booking was straightforward, and you couldn't ask for better communication with a tour operator. Once we arrived at the office, Emanuel and his intern Alexandra greeted us warmly and immediately made us feel confident that we would be well taken care of. Once we got to the tour location, we were given a safety briefing and the equipment was explained in a way that was easy for both the adult and kids to understand. When one of the rappels overwhelmed my more anxious daughter, Emanuel was able to instill confidence in her and helped her overcome her fear. He made the way down easier for her, but made the way down a bit more exciting and challenging for my more adventurous child. Alexandra checked in frequently, ensuring that the equipment remained properly fitted and safe as well as making sure we were enjoying ourselves. Emanuel and Alexandra's energy was both calming and playful; it is obvious that they love what they do. And don't worry about taking pictures. They took all the photos and videos you could ever want as part of the package! We were sad that we weren't able to try out their other tours because of our timing. I liked Rope Adventures so much that I booked a return trip in September. Book it. You won't regret it.

You have 2 ways to go up: either the road that winds through the green fields, the cows and the northern sea view or a geometrical structure of steps that arrives directly to the viewpoint. From there you get a nice view of the city and its unreal silence.

Came here to watch the sunrise since it’s on the east side of the island and was not disappointed. No one around at all that early expect for a friendly farmer. Drive was easy with lots of parking.

Dora was a great tour guide for our cave tour. We were picked up at our hotel in a jeep and taken to the Furnas, a scenic off road trail, and Gruta do Natal. We enjoyed our experience with Dora and the beautiful sites we saw. However, we had a discrepancy with the tour description being different than expected. We booked this tour specifically to see Algar do Carvao. The description said Algar do Carvao was closed over the winter and expected to re-open in March/April 2025 (we booked in May and went on the tour in June). Turns out the construction plans at Algar do Carvao changed, and it is now expected to open two years from now, but the tour description was never updated to reflect that. After our tour, I raised our concern to the owner/manager. He quickly responded and offered us another tour to make it right. Sometimes plans change and mistakes happen, but the owner handled it very professionally to make us happy, so I can’t complain. To my knowledge, he is updating the tour description. We then went on an off-road jeep tour of the island to many scenic areas, viewpoints, and lakes. Customized to the areas of the island we haven’t seen yet. Carolina was our guide and showed us a great experience with places you could only see with a local driving a jeep. Carolina was a great guide and we had a fantastic and unique experience. Overall, this company is a great tour service with skilled and knowledgeable local guides. Even with our issue, the owner/manager was very professional and did what he could to make it right.

Such a great experience! There are many tours to choose from, we did the Alcatra cooking class and while there booked the cave tour as well! Antonio was so kind and accommodating! Perfect experience, will take a class next time we visit the island! Edit: today we did the cave tour with Bernardo and it was equally great! He explained so much and not only did we do a cave tour we also visited a lagoon! Highly recommend!

We booked our tour pretty last minute and weren't sure what to expect. We were picked up by Beenardo in a red Jeep. It was just us and no one else so we could decide what we wanted to see and it was great. Beenardo has great knowledge of this island and you could really tell he loves his job! He showed us some amazing viewpoints and some off-road sights which we wouldn't have seen on our own. It was a truly amazing experience and we highly recommend booking a tour with them!

Beautiful sand beach with several beach sport fields infrastructures. A very pleasant walking border path long that ends at the little harbour. Several gifts shops, restaurants and ice cream shops are available close the beach. The little harbour is under the protection of 'Imaculado Coracao de Maria' on the top of the hill.

VISITOR REVIEW: This is the best beach on the island compared to the others around. Of course it’s known to be also. Plenty of dark volcanic sand and always clean. There’s volleyball nets and soccer (football). Once you arrive, you’ll find a nice large area of beach front with calm waters and hardly any waves. Backing this are plenty of restaurants and the Centre square of the city is a short 2 min walk... you can’t get lost! Facing the beach, and to the left, you’ll see the sail boats parked.... but guess what... there is also a secret beach behind them!!! Walk toward the boats and around them to discover this other beach area... known to the locals and not very busy...... waters are same but just hidden.

Simply fantastic food and service for an amazing price. Fresh bake bread and the perfect snack bar. This location is a must visit when in Terceira.
