It was open despite saying closed on the website! Great archaeology site, very we kept and english guide too! The receptionist wasnt fluent at english but very welcoming and gave us english guide.
Roman villa dating from the 2nd to 4th centuries AD. Also, there are ruins of a paleo Christian basilica, with baptistery, from the 4th century AD.
Must visit for archeology lovers - truly amazing!
(Translated by Google) A Roman villa in the middle of the countryside. What impressed me most was the baptistery, the only one of its kind in Portugal and perhaps in the Iberian Peninsula. It's worth a stop... (Original) Uma vila romana no meio do campo. O que mais me impressionou foi o batistério, único do gênero em Portugal e talvez da península Ibérica. Vale uma parada...
(Translated by Google) It's a shame they took the mosaics to the Archaeology Museum. The museum is too small. There are no identifying signs and the grass was overgrown. It's a bit neglected. The host was friendly. (Original) É pena terem levado os mosaicos para o Museu de arqueologia. O museu é demasiado pequeno. Não tem placas identificativas e a erva estava grande. Está um pouco ao abandono. O anfitrião era simpático.
(Translated by Google) The visit was very pleasant and the receptionist was very friendly and willing to explain some of the history of this village. The only negative point I would mention is the poor condition of the access road, about 2 km before reaching the village, as well as the hotel.

A wonderful day trip. Incredible opportunity to get so close to so many mares and foals. maria Juez was a great guide and took her time to answer any questions. Renata is the falconer and is clearly very knowledgeable about her craft and spent along time talking with our six year old son. We had a lovely lunch at the hotel Magada explaining the yearly events. Thank you
The price is a bit on the expensive side, but it is worth it. The visit is very interesting.
Magnificent horse stud with the oldest traditions on the Portuguese horse of "Alter"
Bad/No information on the website on the visit and the prices. Asking a price of 48 euros for 2 adults and 2 children (2&4 years) is way too high for what you get to see. Totally not worth the drive for this fee and probably the reason they don’t show it online so you already took the effort to get there.
I booked a guided tour (in Portuguese), and I'm quite happy with it. You can follow the steps of a horse from birth until they become adults. At some point you are allowed to feed such beautiful horses. At the end you visit a small couch museum. A very nice way of spending a morning.
Great to see the horses. And the facilities. Amazing! However the tour guide didnt speak a great deal of English so it was difficult to get more info and learn more. As horses are my big passion .
(Translated by Google) It's worth a visit. Beautiful horses, very well cared for. Visits at 10 am and 3 pm. The falconry is also very interesting. (Original) Vale a pena a visitar. Cavalos lindissimos, muito bem tratados. Visitas ás 10h e ás 15h. A falcoria também muito interessante.
