Hotel in beautiful surroundings, staff were so friendly and attentive. The hotel itself was absolutely spotless, and it smelt amazing throughout. I highly recommend the coffee from the restaurant! And the food for dinner was great too. The stay was definitely worth the money.
Recently stayed here for 1 night for a friends wedding. Unfortunately i didn't make the most of the facilities as I was there for a short space of time. The hotel is very spacious, the rooms are huge and staff are friendly. Like many hotels following the pandemic, this probably needs a little TLC, when i checked out the door handle to my room came off in my hand. the door was generally quite hard to close (you had to push or pull it with a little force to open or close it), the carpets in the hallway are a little warn out too. It's a lovely location for a get away but far from any towns etc so you would need a car or taxi to get around. I was also advised that Ubers are generally hard to get from here but I managed to get one Another downfall, This is the first hotel I have stayed at where they charge for coffee in your room. Many 2 and 3 star hotels offer that for free, so definitely something the management may want to have a review of.
We've just arrived home from a short break at the Alhaurin Hotel, due to a family wedding nearby. We would normally book a place by the coast, but in this instance, due to the wedding being in the mountains, this place was recommended to us. It has a warm and welcoming interior, although parts of the hotel could do with being updated, however, we understand this is in hand. On our first day, we woke up to no water, but this was rectified quickly and without too much inconvenience, which was great. We really enjoyed our breakfasts in the hotel and the bar staff were also kind and helpful. We had lunch at the hotel once and I ordered a caesar salad. Although a simple dish, it was one of the best caesar salads I'd ever tasted! The only issue was with the lettuce, as it wasn't drained properly and there was water sitting in the bottom of the plate, but that's something that can be easily rectified in future. The staff were exceptional and we really enjoyed our stay. We probably won't be making a return visit, as we previously mentioned, we normally stay in coastal resorts, but I would definitely recommend this place to others.
Absolutely beautiful hotel, honestly, like something from a dream. Lovely room with great AC and lovely staff. Would recommend, but might need a car or taxi as it's a little remote. But seriously it's like being in paradise.
Just went here for the day pass where you can pay €25 euro per adult and €15 for children. I think under 4’s are free. With that you get access to the pool and a 3 course meal. The pool is nice got a great view. Was a bit cold end of June but nice to get into with the heat outside. The food was nice, a limited menu with a couple of salad choices then a couple of fish choices and some ice cream and water melon for dessert. For the price it was fine, not the nicest food we’ve had in Spain but good.
I was debating whether to give the hotel a 2 or a 1 star rating but there were just too many negative points to justify a 2 star. Firstly there was no working WIFI in the rooms. It has been broken for a month or so but seems to have no priority for repair. This is totally unacceptable in the 21st century where WIFI in hotel rooms is now a basic facility. There are quite simple and cheap solutions to repair the problem that should only have taken hours not weeks but this is one example where the hotel seems to have little interest for it's guests. *** ROOMS *** The showers are in the BATH with a PLASTIC CURTAIN. This sort of facility is normally only found in cheap 1 star hotels definitely not 3 star or better hotels. The two person rooms only have ONE chair, so one guest has to lay on the bed while the other can sit. The TV only has Spanish channels, even though nearly all guests are foreign. Some English channels are the minimum expectation. International satellite or internet TV streaming is normal these days but not at Alhaurin Golf Hotel. The TV in the room is a very CHEAP TV. Not even possible cast to it. *** RESTAURANT *** Breakfast has RICE & tough pressed meat instead of the real bacon and fried potatoes of normal hotels and the mushrooms were very heavy with garlic and obviously out of a tin and quite unpleasant. (I've never seen rice instead of fried potatoes for breakfast in a European hotel before.) The 'hot' buffet is also mostly COLD and needs to be warmed up under the bread toaster. There is a poor fresh fruit choice. Also stupid simple things, like having no orange juice for several days .. *** It is definitely NOT the breakfast quality expected in a 4 star hotel *** The first afternoon we arrived we ordered an ice cream. It wasn't shown on the menu but asking was told it was available. When it arrived, it was just two VERY SMALL balls of ice. I was shocked when I saw on the bill that each small ball was €3.50..(€14 for two small ices). The normal price elsewhere for a LARGE ball of ice cream is +/-€ 1.50.. (Alhaurin here is +/- 300% overpriced). While waiting for the ice cream in the restaurant, we heard other guests ordering, but many things on the menu were no longer available, therefore we decided never to eat there. *** GENERAL *** Carpets in the corridor are completely worn and threadbare (with holes) and should have been changed long ago. The impression this hotel gives is that it does everything as cheaply as possible with very minimum expense. Quality is apparently low on the priority list. The fact that Alhaurin Golf Hotel has had several changes of owner in recent years may have something to do with the lack of interest for the customer. The hotel also seems to be catering largely to groups with several bus loads of Chinese arriving while we were there. These problems were discussed with the local hotel management during the stay and they were made aware it was unacceptable.. I'll be interested to know if it makes any difference. (Talking to club members, I find the hotel has a bad reputation at the nearby Alhaurin golf club)
Went to a Lionel Richie tribute act night. My wife and I ordered steak which was beautifully cooked. Although it was very busy the staff were attentive and helpful. All in all a lovely evening of good food and drink, music and dancing. Thank you.
This is the second time we came here to eat. The first time we were on the road trip back and they were able to serve us (with a toddler) dinner early (~6pm). Their view, food, and view took our breath away. Months later, and it's warm and nice out again, we returned with some friends for Sunday lunch. They continued to wow us. Their menu is not big, but they did everything great and delicious. It's really such a gorgeous place, incredible food and service.

I can fully recomend going with Toro Trail! Great accomodation, amazing bikes and super chill atmosphere all day around. Lyndon is a great host, always helpfull and full of great stories. If You love Your life, go ride with Adrian. He is super friendly guide and a great rider. On the other hand, If You don't like Your life, go ride with Alex. :) After a short ride, Alex as a pro rider will know more about Your riding capabilities then You do and he will encourage You to use Your skills to the fullest. He's an amazing rider, sharing pefect advice on the trail. After the ride, You'll love Your life again and want more adventures like this. :) It were amazing three days of riding for me, and I'm already planning next Toro Trail trip with my friends. Cheers to all the amazing team - Lyndon, Melania, Maria, Adrian, Alex and all other guys that contribute to this amazing experience. See You next time!
Great adventure with the Toro Trail, new and well-maintained bikes, great location , top-notch safety equipment and a very attentive team
Having now enjoyed three trail riding trips to Malaga, each one with a differing operator, it's fair to say ToroTrail have offered the best overall package in every department. Prior to arriving, the administration I received as Group Leader, was perfect from Sally. Speedy, timely, efficient and witty, too! At no stage was I ever left hanging or unsure. The transfer arrangements from Malaga to TororTrail's accommodation were also faultless. Nick, our Logistic Wizard Extraordinaire who collected us from the airport, is a top bloke and the service he delivered was outstanding. Lyndon is the consummate host. He strives for high standards (which he delivers) and is also an ace coach when out riding. For a (northern) bloke, he has an unusual eye for detail. The accommodation Torotrail provides is great. Clean and comfortable. Everything works. Mattress good. Each bedroom has its own WC and shower… and they work!! On site breakfast is slick, efficient and more than adequate - a super start for your day of riding, setting the tone beautifully. A very diverse choice. The Husqvarna bikes and equipments are fantastic. Clean, fully functioning and fresh. Absolutely no complaints from my group who were all overwhelmed by the high quality standards. The 2 days of trail riding were well organised, structured, memorable and stretched each and every rider, etching an unforgettable memory for us all. Lyndon knows the best eateries, too. All we frequented were very good, but there was one stand out, Santiago's Kitchen, Alhaurin el Grande . Quite a treat! Talking of treats, in day two, we were incredibly fortunate to ride with Alejandro Medina - go look him up. Bizarrely talented rider and such an ace lad, too - what a treat for all my group to see a rider like Alejandro in action. Adrain, our other guide was outstanding. Great fun, very capable on two wheels and has an uncanny understanding of British humour, too. Could you find a cheaper two day trail riding trip in Malaga? Probably? Would my group return to Torotrail ever again? Absolutely, in fact, I can't see me ever wanting to go elsewhere. Is there anything you would want to change about your Torotrail experience? I can't think of anything. I highly recommend you try Torotrail for yourself. I can't see you being disappointed.
Fantastic 5 days, I enjoyed every moment! Great team, thank you Sally, Melania, Maria, Lyndon, Alex, Adrian, Miguel and everyone who made my stay perfect. I truly recommend this experience and Toro Trail!
I had an absolutely fantastic off-road motorbike holiday organised by ToroTrail. The instruction given (by Lyndon and Alex) was fantastic and raised my riding ability and confidence immeasurably. The sheer number of trails, riverbeds and roads available meant every day was unique. The bikes and riding kit are top notch. The accommodation was great and the food was delicious. I will definitely be back.
This was my first ride with Toro trail and I can just say that they are very professional. We were split in to groups according to level of rider to make sure all of us had an Exelent day. Trails were fun and challenging. All of the staff are positive and friendly and you feel very welcomed at Toro Trail. We ate lunch at a very nice restaurant near Malaga. Hi point of the day was the 600 m long concrete tunnel😱.
Absolutely ace set up. Toro Trail have nailed the full package for the ultimate moto getaway from busy life at home. A short flight to Malaga and you’re in a beautiful Spanish villa with a pool and a fleet of new Husqvarna bikes, all the kit and the ultimate riding terrain. Lyndon, the man behind it all, is an absolute hero and has gathered together a fantastic team of very capable riders to make for the best experience. With full accommodation and all the desired facilities on site it’s incredible. Riding starts near immediately from the house giving a mix of large fire tracks, small single track, technical and sweeping riverbeds and more hill climbs and descents that you can shake a stick at. One of their really popular routes even takes you to the beach. If you’re wanting a long weekend away and some off-road fun, this is the place to go.
Had a superb week with Toro last week. Four days of riding on a BMW R1200 GS Rallye - one day of guided trail riding and three days of two-up touring with my wife in the hills of Andalusia - it was a great introduction to adventure bike touring! I started off with a day of guided trail riding (solo) to get used to the bike. Adrian took me and a Norwegian couple (on their honeymoon!) out into the nearby hills. Although the bike was big, the weight wasn't noticeable as soon as I got going. It had a nice light clutch, a comfy seat and was easy to ride. Just as well, as we hit the trails within a few miles of leaving the base! Adrian explained the basics of off-road riding and then we set off. The first trail was quite straightforward, but the riding got more challenging during the day as we climbed up into the hills. The level of riding was about right for me - not too easy and not too difficult (apart from one steep loose slope that Adrian took the bike up for me). The day was a great experience and I was really glad to have chosen this option. My wife and I then did three days of touring on our own, including an overnight trip to Ronda. The bike had panniers and a top box, so there was plenty of space for our things. Toro put some great routes into the sat nav, so all I had to do was follow the instructions, enjoy the amazing scenery and remember to ride on the right (it soon became second nature)! The mountain roads were awesome - so many tight corners, hairpin bends and fabulous views, but very little traffic. We particularly enjoyed our trip to Ronda and were excited when we arrived to find that our hotel was just next to the famous Punto Nuevo. The fully loaded bike handled brilliantly throughout, but setting off from standstill with all that weight was sometimes "interesting"! We spent most of our stay in the nearby Alhaurin Golf Resort hotel, which was booked by Toro for us. We enjoyed this hotel and would be happy to stay here again - see my separate review. It was a good place to relax during our two chill-out days, and not too far from town. The food was lovely! I booked our flights and bought travel insurance, but all the other arrangements were made by Toro and everything went very smoothly. We were pleased to meet Lyndon, the owner, who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport and looked after us during our stay. Toro are a small, friendly team and they did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Thanks for a great holiday, Toro - I look forward to another Spanish riding adventure!

So here it is my ORO review .. So pull up a chair and have a brew !! A group of 8 us booked for a 2 day silver tour after meeting the gang at the dirt bike show . Booking process was easy and informed us of all options .on arrival at ORO HQ we we quite amazed at how immaculate and brand new everything was , after panicking what kit etc to take with us we found their's was superior to our own and have everything you need which appears Brand new each time . ..thanks to the lovely Sonya who greats you on arrival sorts out everything you need ..be prepared for a bit of her cheeky humour to be included in the deal . Then onto the bikes all latest models and look straight out of the box ( much unlike other companies who we have ridden with on the costa del sol !) We didn't only just get guides with extreme knowledge of the area we also got enduro legend Mark "Jacko " Jackson to guide us giving us all constant tips on how we can make the bike float over stuff like he does ! Can be quite annoying how good he is !! Sorry Jacko! Since then we have all returned on many occasions Always to be greeted with the same immaculately kept bikes and kit . Paul and Woody are two of the nicest guys you could Meet to guide you who really do listen if you have any concerns or requests ..even seen them putting recluse clutches in for one rather needy client ! The banter is amazing ..the scenery breathtaking ,whether you want a few days away from it all ,riding in the sun on amazing uninterrupted trails or a bit of more extreme to challenge and train you. I have been back and ridden many times with them with many groups and every single person couldn't praise them enough . Last year saw the addition of Danny to the team who has ridden the costa del sol all his life so knows more tracks than proboably anyone .. oh and yes that boy can ride !! You will leave here with new freinds for life ..everyone of the gang make You feel like part of a great big enduro family . !!! So much so that I actually bought a house in alhurin el grande !!! So in short if carlseburg did off-road tours !!!! Great memories , great people , great riding ! Nigel Fox
Brilliant, I would say a perfect weekend of riding. I went with a group of friends and colleagues from work, all with differing levels of off road experience. Everyone was catered for, the terrain was varying from smooth picturesque mountain roads to technical rocky climbs, with everything in between. The bikes were the best you can get (so much so that two of us went out and bought the same back in the UK), all good quality kit provided, and helpful and friendly staff. The local area is has alot to offer, with plenty of good bars, restaurants, and a relaxed atmosphere. I could not recommend Offroad Orange enough, if your considering it at all, book it, you won't regret it.
Just returned from a very enjoyable two days with Offroad Orange. We all had a great time and the whole experience was very professional. Great riding, great bikes, excellent kit and very friendly and skilled staff. This experience exceeded our expectations so 5 stars well deserved.
I spent 2 fantastic days riding with Off Road Orange in the Summer of 2015, in fact the riding was that good i returned back for more within a couple of weeks. The terrain is second to none, mountains, gullies, dry river beds and the odd river crossing to keep your feet cool. The riding is as challenging as you want it to be, there's no pressure to ride something you don't feel comfortable doing. Friendly, knowledgeable and competent guides and an impressive range of the latest KTM machines, with and all the riding equipment you need. I just need to timetable a much needed return trip. Dom Coleman, United Arab Emirates.
Awesome experience, professional from start to finish, if you are thinking about riding offroad in Spain go with these guys you won't be disappointed, top, well maintained bikes, quality riding gear, together with Paul and Danny looking after you will give you memories to enjoy and look back on. 👍🏻
Without doubt the best organised and most professional tour I have been on. From meeting you at the airport to a cold beer at the end of the day , everything has been thought of and nicer people you couldn't wish to meet. Cant wait to go back and can't recommend highly enough.
Fabulous! This is my third trip with Offroad Orange and it's absolutely first class,. Excellent team, big thanks to Sonya, Paul and Steven for making today such fun. Highly recommended, thanks again.
Fantastic set up. Friendly knowledgeable staff, well maintained bikes and unbelievable terrain right from their door. They even encourage the creation of 'new routes' when you go slightly off piste!!!......... on purpose, obviously😂😂👍👍

Visited exact same time 5 years ago. A celebration of the virgin Mary, whereby you light a candle for your loved one's that have passed. Massive deal in Alhaurin, lots of tradition. Only 18years old boys can carry the Virgin Mary and it's a honour to do it.
Beautiful, simple white church in the village. Has wonderful images, including an ancient one said to be given to Isabel La Católica. I visited on a weekday and there was Mass at 19:30.
Beautiful church building in the centre of Alhaurin el Grande.
Lovely square, ideal for watching the Easter Procession of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ
An absolutely beautiful town church that is the heart of Alhaurin el Grande. Simple yes it evokes it's history and is the backdrop to the town with its cobalt blue steeple.
Historical church on the main plaza in the historical area of the town.
Besutiful church with lots of history.
So beautiful and the hermitage are remarkable in their organisation of events and work in the community.

Excellent tour and olive oil tasting with Ana! We took the English language tour (25€) and loved learning the history and process of olive oil making! Highly recommend (even during off-season).
We did our olive oil tour with Anna and she was terrific. She took us from the actual olive trees to the full production with very detailed information about the process. The tasting was also fun and delicious. They had great products to buy in their shop afterwards, and she gave each of us a tiny olive tree to take home. She was really great as was the olive mill.
An interesting, detailed excursion into the world of olive oil. The excellent guide truly knew the subject and showed us absolutely everything that the premises of the factory and the museum have to offer. She also took us through a tasting experience. For 20 EUR it was really good value - 1,5h of fun. 🙂 We took a bus from Málaga to Alhaurín el Grande and then went 20 minutes by foot to the factory… on our way back to the city, we took a taxi, as it was too hot to walk to the hill 😅
Such as fun tour and the olive oil tasted amazing. We took so many goodies home with us including a free olive tree sprout they provided with the tour. Highly recommend!
Ana gave us a fantastic guided tour of Aceites Molisur and the Olive Oil Museum. It was a truly informative experience. The olive oils we tasted were absolutely delicious. A must-see — and a must-taste!
Having never drank olive oil before I wasn’t sure what to expect with a tour and tasting… But their products were great & our tour guide Ana was incredibly knowledgeable and happy to answer any and and all questions we had. We learned lots and finally know what to look for on a label when buying olive oil.
A fantastic place to visit to get a great tour about olives and olive oil production from the past to the present. A big special THANK YOU to our tour guide Ana, who did an amazing job. The olive oil tasting was also fantastic and all your oils tasted amazing - we bought just enough oil to last us for one year, so we have to come back next year again. The customer service in the shop was also amazing, and we highly recommend Aceites Molisur with their great staff and products.
We bought a 3 litres can of non filtered Virgin olive oil and also 500ml bottle and it is so good 👍 . Not even comparable to the ones from the supermarkets. Also bought some olives and a few other items and much cheaper than the supermarkets. The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable if you have any questions . Lots of parking as. well. We will buy our oil and the rest from. them now. It's worth it.

Just revisited and loved the new Buddhist temple. Truly spectacular architecture. Very much enjoyed the meditations and freshly baked cakes. Vegan paella was outstanding. Will visit again soon. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Here's a corrected and polished version of your text: --- The park is nice—small, but pleasant. Dogs are not allowed, not even on a leash. There are beautiful plants and trees; however, none of them have any information about what they are or where they come from. Only one water feature is working, while the others are dry. There is a nice playground for children and an open gym for adults. All in all, it’s a nice park, but it lacks proper maintenance and attention.
A fantastic experience visiting the Temple today. Has to one of the most impressive structures I’ve seen for a while. So peaceful and tranquil.
