A very serene place that usually doesn't get overcrowded. The archaeological site is very interesting. You pass the ruins of the dressing rooms and then enter the stadium from the same tunnel the athletes did. The stadium is huge and you can try running in it yourself! Make sure to also walk along the small pathway on the hill around it, to get a better views (and some shade from the trees).
Personal opinion, I enjoyed more this stadium than the other site at Nemea. Descriptions are helpful to explain, nice experience to walk into the tunnel of the runners and to appear in the stadium. You can get an idea of what it was. Parking is lower than the museum, but the visiting time is faster. Same ticket of the museum to enter
Not overcrowded and very nice to walk through the tunnel, with texts. These old texts give you the feeling of how it once was. The games, the environment ... history in its purest form.
Extra for the ticket to the site with the temple. We loved the natural setting and the corridor.
Was almost empty in the middle of the day, very peaceful to wander, convenient parking lot free at site
Quite an astonishing place, the entrance tunnel to the running track gives you a taste of the original Olympics site. Set in a beautiful rural landscape. Worth visiting especially with the nearby ancient Nemean site and museum. One ticket covers both sites.
Not as interesting as Olympia but historic and has been used recent years for the Olympic torch.
In ancient times, Nemea was the site of the Nemean Games, which were held every two years in honor of Zeus. In addition to the great temple, there is also a perfectly excavated stadium with access tunnel, changing rooms and starting blocks about 500 m away. Even a water canal running around the stadium should serve as a refreshment for the athletes. There are modern sport competitions every 4 years here in the stadium.

This is one of the wineries in Nemea, a village in Peloponnese famous for its wines. We did not have a reservation but they welcomed us and offered their wines for tasting. They offer wine tasting with food and then you try more wines, it costs 15 euros which is really not much, but since we had to drive back to Nafplio decided to try ony three, one white, one red and one rose. They are all really good. We liked rose the most, but it is all about someone's taste. The rose one called Bee is semi-sweet and semi-sparkling wine made 100% from Agiorgitiko grapes. It has expresive aromas, you can feel pomegranate, strawberries in it. And the colour is really rosy 😊. It is a real summer wine. The girl who explained everything to us was really amazing, gave us all information and made us feel really welcomed. So if you are in this area you definitely shoul visit Nemea, and Ktima Palivou winery.
Today we visited the Palivou winary with my family( 3 kids and husband) Beautiful, warm staff. You feel very welcomed. We had the best experience of wine tasting. The girl who did the tour was so knowledgeable, we enjoyed it so much. Eleni who conducted the wine tasting is vibrant and full of positive energy. We enjoyed it so much. Bought from one of the best wine in Nemea and continued our trip. Thank you all once more.
Amazing little winery hidden in the scenic hills. Thought about doing tasting but purchased a bottle w/ snacks. The wine was wonderful we had to purchase more. Definitely planning to come back for full tour and tasting!!
Wine tasting visit to the Estate was a great experience! The tour guide was very friendly, polite and informative. We had the 5 etiquette wine tasting that came together with a small cold cut and cheese platter. Everything was amazing! Our favourites where : Petrines Plagies white wine, La Vie En Rose, and Ploutos red wine. Highly recommended!
Wonderful winery visit at Palivou Estate! Our tour and tasting were guided by Adamantia was the heart of it all: warm, welcoming, and truly passionate about what she does. She made us feel like guests, not just visitors. We learned a lot about the vineyard, the winemaking process, and the local Agiorgitiko grape. The wine tasting was the highlight of our visit to the winery — well-curated wines, a beautiful setting, and great storytelling by Adamantia. Highly recommended! Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Nemea!
A must do experience. We visited the estate for wine tasting and tour and we had a lovely time. The lady who took us around explained everything in detail when it comes to wine and its making and we tasted some lovely Greek wine 🍷
A beautiful and authentic wine-tasting experience! The team was warm and welcoming, and I loved learning how the wines are made. Every glass had a story, and the setting was peaceful and full of character. A true highlight of my visit to the area.
We were greeted by Andreas with a beautiful glass of white. His short, but very informative tour was perfect to understand how the wine was made at this winery. Loved him! Next we met Elsa at the train who was just wonderful, knowledgeable, fun and the perfect host!!!!! The views here are just unreal (see pics) make sure you upgrade for the premium wines!!! Thank you Elsa for the perfect afternoon. Lastly Mandy helped us purchase our favorite wines from the tour and was so sweet and helpful. You can tell everyone is passionate about wine and what they do. Best time ever thank you all 🤍🤍🤍

“Beautiful winery with a really interesting tour and a great variety of wine tastings. Katerina was wonderful – super professional, very patient, and spoke excellent English. Highly recommend!”
A great winery with a genuine welcome, friendly and informative tour and wine tasting. The cheese platter had some unique and delicious cheeses. Most of the wines here were not expensive.
We had an amazing visit at this winery! We arrived a little late and they didn’t give us any trouble at all. We received a wonderful tour of the winery with some background/history followed by a fabulous pairing of wine and meat/cheese platter. The 3/13 wine is a must try with the cayenne chocolate. All the wines were wonderful. We were super bummed we couldn’t take it all back in our carry-ons back to the states. If we’re ever back in the area we would definitely come back and visit here! 10/10 experience. That staff was so sweet, hospitable, and knowledgeable of the wines.
My husband and I visited this winery about two weeks ago. We did not have a reservation but they welcomed us and let us join another family who just started their tour. The winery is not too big, but they have a good variety of wines. The girl who led us around the winery gave us plenty information about the winery, wines, grapes ... They have started to keep their wine into amphoras as it was done in the past. After the tour around the winery we had wine tasting,we tried some white, rose and red wines. We also tried the wine from the amphora and we really liked it. But the wine that we liked the most is the semi-sweet red wine called 3/.13, made from 100% Agiorgitiko grapes. It is absolutely delicious, and if you try it with chilly chocolate you feel its full taste. We really had great time there and if you are in Nemea you certainly should visit this winery.
This winery ticked many boxes, excellent location, wonderful scenery, helpful and attentive staff, good refreshments available, good value. It was easy to book, tours and tasting in English
If you are in the Peloponnese, this winey is a great choice. I very interesting short tour followed by a fabulous tasting. We included a selection of meats, cheese and Greek bread to go with the wine selection (6 in all) that we chose.
Was a pleasure, we were welcomed by dimitria who were so nice and kind. We are definitely will come visit again. For those who want to taste special wine. Highly recommended. Also not just the wine. The story and the food and atmosphere are truly facilitating!! 🫶🏼
Wonderful experience! Beautiful winery tucked between the mountains near Corinth! The Terra Opus — aged in clay jars— the best red wine we have ever tasted!

With a 10 euros ticket you go also after the ancient Nemea stadium to the archaeological museum of Nemea.. small but ok museum.. you can see some ancient stuff in the yard too. Fast visit I don't think you will need more than an hour for this museum. But deserve your time after the ancient stadium to go there too..after all you had already paid a ticket to enter both places.
A small but informative museum, with many different exhibits from various places in the ancient Nemea area. I found the photos depicting the excavation and the previous decades of whole area especially interesting. To read and leisurely see everything, you won't need more than 3 hours. For a more casual visit, 1 hour is more than enough. After this, don't forget to visit the ancient temple of Zeus, the ancient stadium and the tombs at Aidonia, to witness some of the areas described in this museum and the origin points of many of the exhibits.
One of the most fascinating places to visit. Beautifully landscaped and a place where you can actually walk into the temple itself. You really feel like you are in a time machine, where it is almost impossible to imagine what happened here centuries ago.
A relatively simple site that is famous for hiding the Nemean Games. There is one standing temple with massive columns. The museum is simple and interesting to see to get an idea how the old Greek museums look. It is the only one I have seen that has not been renovated.
Lovely museum with some great pieces from Nemea and around. Lots of sports-related finds from the Nemean Games. The bronze vase inscribed "I am (belong) to Zeus at Nemea" is also noteworthy. Also resident museum cats and a dog that is in need of a new home.
The entrance is 6 EUR. Maybe it is not a lot, but more than other attractions in the neighbouring cities, and to be honest, not as spectacular as the rest. Still I believe it is nice to visit it.
A small but still attractive museum!!
there is a small museum, the temple area and the stadium area the museum is very nice. It has findings mostly from the mycenaean period. A lot of golden jewlleries. Sadly some of the rooms are very old and the exhibition needs to be renovated. the temple is realy great. so is the stadium with its great tunnel. The location is great and it is very nice for a quiet walk. very few tourists when visited (which is a shame as the place really deserves more attention) 6€ full ticket, 3€ redused, free for eu students and under 18n

We had an amazing time at Gofas Winery! The setting is beautiful and the wines are truly excellent, each one crafted with passion, care and character. We had a great guided wine tasting of 6 different labels. There is also option for 4 different wines. Sofia, our host, made the experience unforgettable — friendly, always smiling, very knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. The facilities are modern yet warm, perfectly complementing the quality of the wine. A must-visit if you’re in Nemea!
Nice place under the trees, next to a small river . First visit to this location, tasting of 15 greek Agiorgitiko & 15 tuscan wines - great experience. Nice BBQ food served after the tasting with delicious greek food. Nice live music. Small improvements possible: - better explanation of the organisation of the event - no real explanation of the wines while tasting, you have to rely on the infos from the catalogue. Better to get the producers present - no price information of the wines - add some more chairs & tables for the comfort of the visitors Otherwise great moment and discovery 👏
We visited the winery for a wine tasting and sat under the shade of a large pine tree. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant, the wines were excellent, and each tasting came with a friendly and professional explanation. A delicious, enjoyable, and highly recommended experience!
Sophia entertained us with several beautiful tastings of wines from the region. We enjoyed these wines very much and high recommend the vineyard for delicious wines. The Rose was a favorite as well as the Vasiliogramd reserve.
Excellent visit with very welcoming hosts and, even better, delicious wines. A great example of Ines of the region. We bought more than few bottles to take away Ith us.
Amazing winery! Beautiful location! Sophia was knowledgeable and friendly. The wines were diverse and delicious. Highly recommend!
Sophia was excellent in her knowledge of Wine’s and shared several reds and whites from the region. The Kidonitsa and Malagousia were outstanding Whites and And the Themelio reserve was a treat! An outstanding experience not to be missed!
Due to a driving error we arrived just 20 minutes before closing time. Sophia was very gracious and made us feel at home while taking the time to present their fantastic wines to us. Such a beautiful place. Well worth your time. I write this while enjoying a glass of the Romeo & Juliet red. Yummy!

On the way to Athens we decided to have a little stop in a winery on the way. We found Lafazanis and went into a magical one hour stop with Christina. I can't even explain the charm of Christina who gave us some delicious wines, told us all about the winery and life in the area. We got to know a beautiful winery and a beautiful soul. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
This was a nice place we stopped by on the way to Nafplio. Only one at work who was busy with another group. However she made time to sell us some wine and we could go to the basement ourselves. The wine tasted delicious
What an amazing experience! Christina, our guide, is so professional, fully knowledgeable and incredibly accommodating! She let us discover these quality wines and see every step in their production. Excellent organization and wines were really above expectations. We are honestly so glad we visited this winery! Thank you a thousand times, Christina!
It been a while but we had an absolutely stellar experience, a great tour on the premises where we left feeling wine experts and then a awesome tasting with stellar wines
We had a wonderful visit at the winery. We visited the winery for a conference and we had the chance to have a lovely tour. If you are visiting or you are near the area, I would definitely recommend paying a visit.
The tasting room is beautiful and we had a lovely experience. The wines were delicious and the staff was very knowledgeable
Lovey experience! Went for a wine tasting, for 10 euro each we got a summer tasting of 4 different wines: two white, one red and one rosè. An explanation was given for each about the origin and the tasting notes, served with a plate of cheese and bread sticks. Very good quality, very tasty wine!
Kristina was an amazing host!! We did the tour and tasting!

Lovely people here opened up the shop for us even though we arrived at a very busy time. A good selection of classic Nemea wines available, from a range of vintage years, and the prices are very reasonable.
We visited the winery today, almost by chance because along the road we were traveling on. We were very impressed with the hospitality and kindness as well as the excellent wine. Grazie!
Inside a large warehouse there is a cute corner for display and wine tasting. A good place to stock up on affordable Nemea wine. The guy who helped us was lovely and we're glad we stoped by
Excellent service and tasty wines! For wine taste you have to schedule it.

What a wonderful time we had! I highly recommend making a reservation for a wine tasting, and be certain to request a wine tasting with a meal! My sister, niece, daughter and I visited Venikos as the second stop of a multi-stop wine tour and we never left. The proprietor Nikos, his wife Mary, and Katerina showed us incredible hospitality and we really appreciated the conversations and knowledge which they shared with us. Mary prepared wonderful dishes to complement the wines we were tasting and Nikos and Katerina were very knowledgeable, and all are extremely friendly people. They truly made us feel like welcomed friends enjoying a meal with them as they shared their Nemea wines! I will return there on my next trip to Greece.
I wish I could give an infinite number of stars. Nikos and Mary gave us an unforgettable experience. They did a great job at picking a winery to visit based on our preferences. The food was amazing and the wine was fantastic. Mary is a top tier cook and Nikos has a deep knowledge of wine. I feel we made new friends today and I highly recommend Venikos to anyone staying or passing through Nemea!
This was one of the best wine experiences of my life. We had an epic day traveling around the Nemea region, tasting more than 30 wines! This was a specific request of mine: taste as many vintners as I can I one day - and Nikos delivered! Better still, the store was packed with an even broader selection - I felt like a kid in a candy store. If you're considering a tour of Nemea wines, this is your answer.
What a fantastic place to do a wine tasting with some beautiful finger foods. We tasted many wines from many different wineries and with all of them the owner had an interesting story. Afterwards we bought some wines which seemed very reasonable priced. Highly recommended!
One of my favorite experiences here in Greece. Sweetest husband and wife walked us through the 'sweet and bubbly' premier option where we got to taste 4 different wines paired with some of the most delicious foods we've had in our travels of Europe. Extremely knowledgeable and hospitable and we would absolutely see them again!
Excellent wine experience with outstanding service. Nothing to complain about. Worth visiting
Omg. The food. The wine. The competent, informative and friendly owner and his wife who is the most amazing cook. I would give 6 stars if I could.

Family run winery with good quality wines and friendly staff. Fabulous views over the vineyards and the amazing rock mountain nearby. You can taste several wines for 7 euros (from memory six) but as driving, decided to taste just one or two for the road. Barbara helpful and interested in our travels! One of my favourite wineries that I have visited.
Beautiful area, lovely wine tasting, and friendly owner! We tasted 5 wines and a mix of cheese / meat / bread for €20 per person. The owner gave us some context for the wines so we could make a selection good for us. We also got to see the winery production area and aging room. The porch area with seating has a lovely view of the mountain and monastery. Lovely area and very good wine, definitely recommend!
Beautiful estate with a magnificent view of the mountainside and a charming monastery chiseled into the rock high above. The Greek wines were very good, and the tasting was both inexpensive and generous, accompanied by a platter of cheese and meats. Our host was lovely and made a real effort to speak English, which we truly appreciated. Highly recommended if you're in the area.
Amazing winery! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. We tried two different wine tastings: All eight wines for 25 euros and 10 euros for three wines. Each wine tasting includes charcuterie of cheese, salami, and Greek bagel bread. It was a lovely experience.
Winery tasting was so pleasant. Was happy to stay for wine tasting. Great food and wine + super good scenery!
Wonderful family winery! Excellent wines (loved the RIZA Nemea 2021), warm and welcoming host, and breathtaking views. A must-visit for wine lovers in Nemea! 🍷
This a fabulous winery! Came back again for the 3rd time and it’s gets better and better. So many fantastic wines to try and buy. Lots of love to Χαρούλα who was an excellent host. From Alexandra
Amazing experience. The owner is very sweet and did her best to give us a tour of the winery and explain all the wines. They have very good white, rose, and red. Semi-sweet was amazing. Great views as well and a cute pet turtle. :)

We visited the winery, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The wines were exceptional, and Elizabeth’s hospitality was outstanding. She was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, taking the time to explain the wine-making process in detail. Her personal touch made the visit truly unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great wine and an extraordinary host!
We visited the winery today and had a wine tasting led by Elizabeth. Elizabeth, as my wife described her, is beautiful inside and out. Her explanations of the wines were very enriching and the wines themselves are very tasty with a wide range of wine types. We highly recommend a visit to the winery and of course a tasting. And of course we purchased a wine box to continue enjoying the wines at home. Elizabeth, thank you!
Outstanding experience to visit this winery for a tour and a tasting. We were 10 persons visiting and tasted 6 excellent wines. Our host, Elsa, was very kind and gave us an very interesting tour and presentation of the wines. She was very present and delivered a very plesant atmosphere. We had 3 dry and 3 semidry wines including cheese and could cuts for a very fair price. The wines was very high quality and all of decided to bring some bitters home. I highly recommend to visit this winery!
Our first introduction to Nemea (and really Greek wine in general) was here! And what a wonderful place to start. They showed us around the winery and explained the certain grape variety that has a wonderful cherry note. Never had anything like it and we bought several bottles! Would love to go there again!
If you are looking for an all round experience look no further! This beautiful vineyard has a great vibe, wonderful wine, in the heart of stunning Nemea. We organized cheese plates and wine tasting which was really delightful, and the family that own and run this vineyard put the beautiful hearts into providing an overall experience. So dont miss your opportunity to experience an authentic greek wine adventure ...THANK YOU BARAFAKAS WINERY
The most informative wine tour that we had in Nemea! Maria was incredibly funny, personable, and extremely knowledgeable! She was super engaging with us (we couldn't stop laughing) and she really taught us some interesting things about this specific winery and the region's speciality. The wines themselves were also delicious (esp the 3 sisters one). Don't miss this place!
My family had the best time here. We did the wine cellar tasting and it couldn’t have been better. Such a special place! The wine speaks for itself, but the family / staff is what makes it special!
I promised the tasting guide I would leave a review so I'm keeping my word! This winery is beautiful and offer some incredible wines. I was lucky enough to be on a tour here by myself in mid September, where the guide spared no detail in explaining the wine production processes, the flavour profiles and in answering any questions I had (which were a few, I'm a novice!) I had great fun here and was even allowed to keep one of the little tasting booklets! I learned a lot and kept a bottle from the winery as a souvenir from a key part of my dream trip around mainland Greece. 10/10, I will be back here with my mum at some point soon!

this winery is amazing. the guy, xidis, makes his own art that is displayed in the halls of jis bordeaux style wine. he is super cool and friendly and their bottles go from 10 euros to 100. the 10 euro wines are super good. his winery is in ancient nemea near the temple of zeus. the mind blown styles dont stop there, but no need to ho on. its unique and cool
Very nice enviroment and the quality of the wine is perfect

(Translated by Google) Excellent winemaker, host and man of art and spirit. The wines especially as befits a boutique winery! Next to the stadium of ancient Nemea in a historical place. I visited for the second time this year and plan to go again soon.
(Translated by Google) Excellent experience with excellent, quality wines! Mr. Tasos is versatile with great knowledge in the subject, while at the same time he exhibits his own sculpture works. Very warm and friendly environment.

We recommend the winery of Mr. Vinegar RENAISSANCE, absolutely. (Original) Ο κ.
