I purposefully waited to write a review because I wanted to compare Ubud Pilates to other Pilates studios. I tried Pilates for the first time with Asa. I attended 3 group classes and a fundamentals class with just Asa. First, I contacted Asa through email with inquiries and she was quick to reply. When I attended my first group class, she was extremely welcoming as I walked in and knew exactly who I was (from just the email) and immediately started to get to know me and guided me. I placed myself at the front of the class for a good visual. Asa is very clear about explaining the movements verbally. I loved how she also modeled the movements as well. The one on one fundamentals class was so beneficial and I highly recommend it. It helped me understand my body, how to move, breathe, coordinate, etc. Now that I’ve returned home and tried a few other Pilates classes at other studios, I can definitely say that Asa is the best. She’s so approachable, knowledgeable, a great teacher, and I felt so comfortable in her classes. That says a lot coming from me because I had a lot of anxiety about starting Pilates and being in a group class. I just wish I could go back to Bali and attend regular classes with Asa!
I was instantly attracted to Ubud Pilates when I fist checked their website. It transmitted professionalism, quality, attention to detail and personalization. All my expectations have been exceeded with the studio and Asa, the owner and instructor. Asa offers mat classes for a small number of participants and pays close attention to each individual needs without compromising the group's performance. Apart from from being extremely knowledgeable and experienced, Asa is warm and caring. So many times I'd stay longer after the class to have my questions answered by her. Asa goes the extra mile for us. And on top of it all, it feels great to exercise in a beautifully designed place and having access to good quality props. I have been coming to Ubud Pilates for 7 weeks now and can't recommend it enough.
I felt so lucky to discover Asa and her beautiful studio. I have done many Floor Pilates classes over the years and rate the experience that I had at Asa's studio as some of the best classes I've ever done. I did 4 classes over the week that I was in Ubud - every class was the right level of challenge, every class was different and I felt very comfortable in Asa's safe and expert hands. Asa is a highly skilled practitioner, caring and perceptive, very good at explaining poses and exactly what your body is getting from each pose. She is very warm and friendly and the studio environment is absolutely stunning - like a zen temple! I would highly recommend Ubud Pilates to people of all levels of skill and experience.
I am a yoga practitioner and felt a bit stuck in my practice so I decided to give Pilates another chance and add it to my practice. It was THE best idea and I could not have wished for a better place than Ubud Pilates. Asa is a wonderful person and very experienced Teacher. I loved how she put so much love, attention and care to each one of us students in every class. The studio is just amazing (truly beautifully designed and well equipped) and classes are small so you are sure to have all the attention you need no matter if you are a beginner or advanced student. The courses are well structured and even only after a few classes I felt the difference and a shift to my practice. It helped me a lot and I decided to get a personal program to add to my daily yoga routine. Thank you Asa!
My husband and I recently attended Ubud Pilates and had an extremely positive experience. From the moment you view the website, to walking in to the beautiful studio you know you are in good hands. Asa is a skilful instructor who manages to engage you in the practice of Pilates effortlessly all the while ensuring that everyone is getting the most from her class. She is kind, engaging and creates a warm atmosphere where you feel welcomed and comfortable no matter what your level of ability may be. Ubud Pilates is now on our must do list for all of our future trips to Bali and I cannot recommend it more highly.
I went to Bali for a month, intending to work on my yoga practice, but when I discovered Asa and her studio I quickly realized that this is what I had been looking for in a fitness routine. After nearly 4 weeks of classes, I was hooked and my body was feeling amazing. In my opinion, this is the best class (of any type) and the best instructor I've ever experienced. Asa is kind, welcoming and patient. Her studio is a small sanctuary filled with good energy. I can't tell you how much I wish I could go back there daily.
Loved Asa’s classes! Definitely the best Pilates classes I’ve been to. Both in terms of style but also Asa’s attention to form and making sure all the students are doing the movements correctly. I learnt a lot about breathing techniques which I have never been taught correctly in other classes in Sydney. And Asa is just lovely, knows everybody’s names straight away which is always nice. Highly recommend and look forward to coming back. Plus the studio itself is just beautiful
What a brilliant way to spend a morning in Ubud! Asa and her class were as enjoyable as they were physically challenging so well worth doing. As a first-timer to pilates, I had a lot of fun learning about the practice while also knowing I was doing something great for my body. Asa was very kind in teaching me while also pushing my friend who has done pilates on several occasions - we both got a lot from her teaching style and techniques. I would recommend doing Asa's classes to anyone who wants to workout in the morning so they can earn their eating, drinking and shopping later in the day!

Attentive and very nurturing staff. I received a massage and also a 4 hour treatment (massage and facial) and couldn’t be more happier and relaxed! The ambiance is, I feel, exactly what you need. The frequency music, the sacred geometry and the whole vibe gives more than just a treatment experience but rather a deeply connected one. Highly, highly recommend. I enjoyed my treatments so much here while I was in Ubud.
I just had an incredible full-body massage with Therapist Linda, and it was pure bliss! She was so attentive, polite, and skilled. Her techniques were simply amazing. I left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. Highly recommend!
I’m a Massage Therapist with a decade of experience and I just had one of the best massages of my life here. I came here 8 years ago and also had amazing massages but the staff has changed since then. Since coming back I’ve only had a massage from a Masseuse named “Teene”, but she was world class. Highly highly recommended.
When you think of Ubud, nature and culture immediately come to mind, but one must not forget Balinese massage. At this spa, all the therapists appear to be women. Traditional Balinese massage is known to be quite strong, but for tourists who aren't used to it, they kindly start with gentle pressure. You can really feel their professional skill. Since it's an oil massage, you receive it completely unclothed, but one of the highlights of this place is that you can take a shower afterward. I was impressed by the reliable service and reasonable pricing—I ended up visiting three times. When I return to Ubud, I definitely plan to come back here.
Affordable massages with great therapists. Both Tobi and Ayu were excellent for Balinese massages. The location was conveniently next to our yoga teacher training center so I visited time and again (alongside half my classmates!) Don’t expect anything fancy—I never showered here for instance—but it served as a much-needed reprieve during our training. Nomads next door was twice the price and—while it had a nicer bed and bath—I preferred the therapists at Starchild
One of the worst experiences ever. Absolutely unacceptable behavior. We had booked a massage for 3 people. From the very beginning, when we made the booking online, they kept trying to change our appointments so that we would not all be together, simply because they didn’t have 3 therapists available. When we refused to change, they assured us everything was confirmed. We arranged our entire day around this appointment to be there on time. Upon arrival, the staff told us they could not serve us, using the excuse that they “couldn’t find our reservations.” After going back and forth, they finally admitted the real reason: they did not have enough staff and insisted we would have to go in one by one. In the end, they dismissed us altogether, and we ended up not receiving any massage at all, since by then it was too late to find another place open with available slots. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful.
One of the best massage i had during my trip. The room is not air conditioned and you could hear the conversations in the next room. However, the massage is really good. They are usually pack so it is worth making a reservation in advance. The massage is good as the they masseuse use adequate pressure and the touch is therapeutic.
Incredibly relaxing massages! We went last week for the traditional balinese massages 10/10, so relaxed I almost fell asleep. You can wash off afterward as well. Last night got the foot reflexology massage and it was just as dreamy

I have had lots of massages and this is amazing! I love Fitria's style with slower long motions but with strong pressure she gets all my knots. Asking for extra head and face massage is also wonderful she's great for that. Prices are very economical too. Only thing to note is there is no air conditioning, and lotion is not fully cleaned off after, but otherwise one of the best massages I've had in Bali and at the best price too, highly recommend! 🙌🙏
Pre-booked my massage from Australia after reading the reviews and I was pleased that I did. Felt very relaxed after my full body massage & the lady who does them was lovely. I was welcomed by a cute little dog 🙂 Edit: I went back for a 2nd massage & it was just as relaxing as the first!
Best body and face massage in Ubud! Very comfortable place with relaxing atmosphere. I have been back here three times and will be back many more times when I visit Ubud again. I recommend book time in advance via WhatsApp. Only cash payment
This place is a rare find! I've been here 6 times already, and it's a great experience every time ☺️ Gentle and thoughtful massage, but you surely can ask for a stronger one too! Also great prices. The location is a bit hidden, so I added some photos of the entrance. You should definitely visit this place if you want a good massage & live in Ubud :)
Had one of the best massages here in Bali, it was amazing - I wish I could have booked here again but she is quite busy so make sure to book in advance! Would highly recommend this cute little spa
Whilst Bali is known for Balinese and deep tissue massage, here you'll get that little extra along with good advice! A must do when visiting Ubud
Really don't miss the opportunity to get a massage here( I did two and will keep going)The girl is unique and connects with the massage she gives. Simply exceptional, I feel very grateful for that.
Great place in walking distance of my Villa Very friendly masseuse and good price for a full 90 Minute massage, just the right amount of pressure througout Recommend calling/texting her to make an appointment through WhatsApp As a bonus she even takes care of stray cats

A very nice place to hang out for some art session. Great music with great owner Geed, who is willing to share some art skills and experienced. Definitely one of the great place to hang out at Ubud.
Wow! I've only been there for five minutes to get some information and i'm allready very impressed by this art studio. Super friendly people with a wonderfull mission! I'll go back for the creative meeting tonight and a henna workshop tomorow. I'm sure it's gonna be great!

Naya is a very good and friendly and safe driver. Always on time he can speak a good English. We had 3 full days .
Bali Full Day Tours offer amazing one whole day trip to visit beautiful places of interest in Bali, duration of the tour is between 10 - 12 hours.
In short, very disappointed with the whole experience. Driver was unprofessional, and not helpful - did not provide any commentary on the itinerary. We had to keep asking questions to get information about places we were passing through. Also advice about entrance fees got worse and worse as the day went by - high suspicion of collusion with sarong sellers at Besakih Temple. High level of caution recomended when booking this service, thorough research required beforehand.
(Translated by Google) We loved the excursion to discover Ubud. We didn't know this corner of Bali and we were delighted. The driver Nyoman spoke good English and explained everything there was to know. EXCEPT… that the excursion agency was very poorly organized by making us end at the Monkey Forest since when we arrived it was already closed. The driver should have made us start with that after lunch. But otherwise Nyoman reimbursed us for the tickets and was correct.

This was an absolutely amazing experience worth every penny! The massage was exceptional, and the attention to detail throughout the whole visit made it truly special. Each massage room is a complete private house, with your own bathroom, open-air shower, sitting area, and more. The massage bed itself was incredibly comfortable, something I won’t forget anytime soon! The service was outstanding, and the massage technique was excellent. I especially loved how they ended the session with a sound bath it was such a thoughtful and calming touch. The design and architecture of the space were beautiful, adding to the overall peaceful vibe. A truly delightful experience from start to finish!
The rooms are beautiful and big. Gorgeous pool villa. The staff are so kind and friendly. They can’t do enough for you. Rooms are clean. The softest I ever slept in… It’s a family hotel so at the restaurant, expect feral children running around your table by the main pool. Live American music. This resort reminds me of the Polynesian resort, Florida…on steroids… bigger and better. You can see and hear the planes flying in the distance.
Definitely worth the visit. Had a 90-minute massage and left feeling relaxed. The space is excellent, quiet, and relaxing. And they have many options to choose from, whether it's a relaxing or a deep tissue massage to help you heal and recover.
Check they include breakfast in the price, most overpriced meal otherwise. Disappointing end to the stay. I was going to recommend the place, but to be honest jst stay elsewhere.
The Sacred River Spa at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan offers a serene escape that harmoniously blends luxury with Balinese spirituality. Nestled along the Ayung River, the spa’s design integrates seamlessly with the surrounding jungle, creating a tranquil environment that enhances the healing experience. The spa features seven private treatment villas, each thoughtfully designed with hand-chiseled stone bathtubs and state-of-the-art massage beds. These spaces provide an intimate setting for a range of treatments that draw upon traditional Balinese healing practices. Signature rituals, such as the Restu Bumi, combine spiritual cleansing with local herbs and gemstone massages, offering a deeply restorative experience . A standout offering is the Sacred Nap, guided by resident wellness mentor Ibu Fera. In this unique experience, guests are suspended in silk hammocks and led through a meditation accompanied by sound therapy, facilitating profound relaxation . The spa’s amenities include a yoga pavilion, sauna, steam room, and Jacuzzi, all designed to complement the holistic wellness journey. The integration of natural elements and traditional Balinese philosophies throughout the spa underscores its commitment to providing an authentic and rejuvenating experience . In summary, the Sacred River Spa delivers a thoughtfully curated wellness experience that respects and incorporates Balinese traditions, set within a luxurious and tranquil environment.
Incredibly relaxing and luxurious experience. Our masseuses were so attentive and talented, and gave us the best massages in Bali! My partner had a Balinese massage and I had a warm oil massage. The location is beautifully tranquil also. Worth going if you're happy to spend more on a luxury experience.
The views here are absolutely stunning! Prices for everything are high, though that was expected. Staff was wonderful, and they will transport you to and from your villa in a golf cart (which is great sometimes, since it's quite a long, uphill walk to the front desk).
When the dream comes to reality. Amazing place and amazing team.
