Between the Park and the Point you can get 5 to 7 miles of almost off road and away from cars walking. In winter / spring there are done facilities (coffee cart) that are shut. It is peaceful and whilst I was a little dejected at Rinville Hall being so covered in vegetation it is just a green box and the castle was locked, the whole area grew on me. If I were local it would be a regular walking area.
Lots of space for walking. Ideal for kids as they can cycle or visit the playground. The playground is spacious with lots of entertainment for kids. Lovely picnic area. Can be very busy at week-ends. Some sections of the park overlooks Galway Bay. There are some stunning views of the bay.
First timers here. My daughter aged 4 and I wanted some exercise while we waited for our companion in the Galway clinic. Plenty of free parking mid-week. You can definitely get your exercise here between walks of varying lengths, playground and gym equipment. We were disappointed that the fairy trail hasn't reopened due to fallen trees presumably post storm Eowyn. What we saw looks good though. I also really liked wheelchair and buggy accessible picnic table and chairs and built in BBQs. We spotted a coffee truck but didn't purchase anything. Highly recommended for fresh air away from the bustle in Galway city.
Great place for a walk or a run , astonishing view, at least with good weather and open sky
Lovely park, it has a great set up for children. Fairy houses, bathrooms, playground and it has a coffee truck. Benches and tables around the place, perfect for picnics. A barbecue area and a beautiful Castle for a backdrop. A big enough park that is dog friendly. Ample Parking.
This is a phenomenal park to visit. It is very soothing and breath taking. There are very gorgeous structures and benches to sit on while relaxing and recharging. There is adequate parking space and one can enjoy fishing as well by the park. I do not hesitate to recommend someone to visit this park.
A very, well-kept family park. Lots of space to relax on the grass or on the benches. Has a good sized playground for the little ones. Excellent for walking. Stroller, kid and wheelchair friendly (Inc. Specifically designed benches to accomodate for wheelchair users). Dog friendly as well!
An awesome natural park. It's quite big. Lots of people will go for a walk possibly with their dogs. There is a nice play ground for kids. But the are no other services like toilets or vending machines. The park is home for several local birds. Unfortunately, not many except for the Jackdaws.

Glad to have this on my doorstep
[Review originally posted 24-8-2019, the place entry has been removed and re-added recently, for some reason. More recent reviews suggest that the family that owns and lives in the castle no longer offers access to the public on most days or at all. The official website suggests the castle is now operated exclusively as an AirBNB accommodation.] A nice looking tower house, in good upkeep, which is almost in town so rather accessible even by foot. Lots of parking in the college parking lot a few meters away. The castle is restored in a non authentic way with lots of furniture and decorations that are irrelevant or anachronistic to the period when the castle was used for it's original purpose. Three guided tours are performed on most days, though if there's an event then tours may be postponed. There was a farmers' market in the castle's yard when we were there, so we didn't get an official tour, but the owners showed us around a bit and the market was also a lot of fun.]
The Castle wasn't worth stopping. It's a family home not a tourist attraction. You can't visit the Castle inside. The main gate closed all the time
As others have said, it's a family home now and a BnB most probably, no visiting inside or courtyard.
Lovely spot, can get amazing sunsets here. It's nice to see the castle very much untouched. I hope it remains that way.

I was there for my birthday without a booking. Shane and Tati were so lovely with us, desserts were tasty and the view unbelievable. We will come back soon.
My wife and I chose to come to the golf resort on spec, while exploring the area. We were welcomed very kindly and chose a light selection from the menu. It was promptly served and beautifully presented. The view was spectacular and the ambience warm and convivial. Thank you very much. Highly recommended. Lawrence Nunn
Our first experience of the Galway boy golf course restaurant was fantastic. Greeted by a friendly and professional F&B manager with wonderful attentive staff. Chicken burgers were amazing, kimchi slaw was particularly delightful. Staff were attentive throughout and made the experience delightful. Service was super, great friendly staff. Great experience would highly recommend.
First time ever in Ireland and I only golfed once, but I hit the jackpot with Galway Bay Golf Resort. From the minute I walked into the pro shop till we were enjoying lunch and a drink celebrating the round we were treated like family. The course itself is challenging, fair and in great shape. Words cannot describe the views. Will be back someday.
We went for breakfast, and it was amazing. The place is fantastic, very comfortable with great views and excellent options. The staff were very helpful too. They have good breakfast options, including the famous Irish breakfast called "The Golf Father". We ordered the "Of Course!" and "Part-Tee Time", and everything was great. You can also enjoy the outdoor area for a walk or simply observe the golf course. Highly recommended!
Beautiful golf course, conditions were perfect, I quit keeping score after losing 8 balls. Had a great time and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff were knowledgeable and took care to ensure we were taken care of from start to finish. The 2 iron grill was a great way to finish the round.
We had an unbelievable time at GBGC. The course was in fantastic condition and the wind-torn trees were quite a unique feature to give an identity to the property. Beautiful clubhouse and restaurant/bar. Ronin and Ross at check-in were a great help and extremely friendly. Anyone looking for a track in close proximity to Galway, this is a great spot.
We went for brunch with a large group of friends on a Sunday morning and they didn’t hesitate to accommodate us. The staff is really friendly and the views on a sunny day are amazing! I ordered eggs bennedict and asked to replace the bacon for hashbrowns and they agreed to do so. Our group will for sure come back to this place.

Shelly is incredibly friendly and helpful, offering personalized styling advice without being pushy. She made sure I found exactly what I was looking for, and even suggested a few pieces I wouldn’t have picked out myself—turns out, they were perfect! Also great to have shoes and accessories available in store. I walked out with a few gorgeous outfits 💕
Great selection of clothing items, jewellery & shoes. Can't wait to see the next season's clothing range. They always have something different. Staff are wonderful & really get to know their customers. A great part of my wardrobe is from Ivory Lane.

I've been shopping in this gorgeous 100% Irish owned boutique since it opened, and I can’t recommend it enough. Great spot, great pizza, plenty of space. Busy little spot but very enjoyable
Great spot for pizza, fresh dough made by Mikey and the lads and served with a smile! Great value, better taste ! Will be back again!
Class spot to go for a few drinks. Amazing pizza and great live music. Highly recommend
This place was recommended by the receptionist at the hotel we were staying in. I wanted a nice pizza and I wasn't disappointed. We shared a half and half pizza and few drinks. The place was very busy but there's so many lovely wee nooks and places to sit so it was no issues finding a seat. From the outside it looks deceiving on the inside it s so much bigger. Friendly fast service, great food and well priced. Definitely worth a visit.
Great atmosphere, good selection, and great service. They take reservations for a party or 3 or more. There is no such thing as parking. Be prepared to walk or get a taxi. Great craic. 👌🏻😍
Pizza was lovely and extremely tasty. Guinness 0.0 helped wash it down.
Very delicious and cosy! Pizza was great and the atmosphere was lively.
Really friendly staff, wood fired pizza, great spaces of all kinds, from cozy inside to large outside area. Drank water so will be back to see how the beer is. I think the photos are of a mural outside the bar
