Been here 8 years ago. Many changes since then. Good food, new rooms, warm shower (1€ per minute, no pause - in total probably 3€ needed), wifi. Drinkable water 2€ per liter.
We just stopped for lunch so can’t comment on rooms. Staff seemed very friendly and the whole place quite welcoming, in an excellent location
On expressing my dorm preference to the check in woman, I was literally reprimanded. Apparently rude to do so!!! Since when ??? The place is run like a high school and has just as much charm. Dinner portion barely adequate. Staff indifferent. 1 star for the good bed, 1 for the location. Note to management, you are obviously not happy working in hospitality. Go and do something else, and be happier.
Fantastic walk from Corvara to this Rifugio. Incredibly clean, well maintained, fantastic food(!!) and hot showers for a few hours before dinner (just a couple of euro extra which is normal). Definitely the best mountain refuge I have ever used (and first in Italy). Thank you Rifugio Boe!
Another huge customer service fail by the staff at this hut. Took 10 guests there for lunch. Midway through eating the server demanded that people stop eating and go into the bar and pay. I said we’d pay when we were finished. He immediately called his supervisor and a confrontation ensued. Zero customer service and I won’t return even though I pass it with 10+ guests every week during the summer.
I was initially impressed by how new and clean this place was. And the setting (high altitude) was incredible. The food was good enough. I left feeling really strange about this place though. The people in charge (owners?) are an elderly German couple and their daughter. None of them are overly friendly, which is fine. But it became apparent that they have little regard for the comfort of the overnight guests. Wifi isn’t available in the bedrooms but there is no common area to sit and use it after the restaurant is closed. People had to sit on the floor in the hallway to get internet. I woke up at 6am and thought I’d go sit in the restaurant until breakfast, but the grandma kicked me out and actually locked the door. I had to sit in the boot room to use the wifi until breakfast. The owners ate dinner as a family in the same room as the guests, and ate much fancier food (think prosscuitto and melon, nice wine). These people have a knack for making their guests feel second rate and unimportant.
Kind staff, clean rooms and beautiful building, good food, hot showers
Great newly rebuild Refugio , amazing views, great friendly staff and amazing food :)

Super cool, the guys are so nice and answer all my questions! The price is a good and open until 18:00 pm (im thinking)
Paolo and Simon and their team have been really kind and efficient renting us ski. It was fast and quality attention. They also serviced our skis overnight and I they were friendly and attentive. The location of the shop is also really good, at the entrance of the lifts, so no te wasted. Can be highly recommended without any doubt. Thank you so much. The Walsham family.
The board and boots were in perfect condition. The employees were friendly and very helpful. The prices were low compared to other rental centers Top marks for this service.
We rent electric bikes. To travel in Canazei and Poza. Paolo and all the staff gave us great advice. His bikes are of good quality. It is in excellent condition and good price .I recommend .
Favourite ski shop I've ever used. Very efficient. Flat rate pricing so you know up front what things will be. Don't take bookings but it was very quick to check in on arrival. No problem swapping it skis and boots during the trip. Let you pay for only first day up front
Stuff is friendly. Rental is right near the bus stop. The lockers are available ONLY in case you rent a gear.
Good ski/snowboard hire. Also sells skis/boards/gloves/goggles etc. I highly recommend paying for their storage lockers, having your ski stuff stored at the bottom of the ski lifts so you can walk back to your accommodation in normal shoes is (probably) worth the cost! Lockers are keyed to your ski pass
These guys rock. They are right at the base of the new lift. Its worth going to ski there just for the ski rental, and I've skied around the world in 9 countries, these guys are the best ski rental shop the world over. The lockers are like a private club. They accommodated my teenage daughters who change from boarding to skiing and back again with no worries. Great gear, friendly staff. Newbie or pro, these guys will assist you. They even managed to put my AT boots into bindings!

I was only having lunch but food and a service was great. Very friendly staff
The setting is out of a story book, stunning. The staff were all so helpful and the private room was perfect. We had three meals and all were very good. I would highly recommend this place for the setting and the staff.
Fantastic location, good food, lovely staff and service, fantastic drying room (so hot that we finally got to dry our clothes), good toilet and sink facilities. The only thing that let this place down were the cramped dormitories with no headspace and only one tiny window in the eaves, and only one shower worked but needed someone to hold up for you.
Me and my brother stayed at Rifugio Contrin during our climb to Punta Penia on Marmolada, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is absolutely serene - tucked away in a beautiful alpine valley, surrounded by dramatic peaks and plenty of wildlife. The rifugio itself is spotless and well-maintained. The food was incredible and clearly made with care. The service stood out just as much as the setting. The staff were warm and attentive, and Daniel in particular was extremely helpful with an issue I had. I highly recommend a stay!
Absolutely lovely place! Best hut we went to through our entire trip. Food was good, rooms were exceptional and the location unparalleled in terms of view!
Day 5 of our hiking trek. A nice looking hut though for some reason we were in the neighbouring hut which was dark and dingy and not a pleasant experience. It needed some tlc and a good clean. The staff were great however, very attentive and flexible to our needs. The food on the evening was pretty nice. Some things in wasn't a fan on was a 5 euro charge to shower, these places are not cheap to stay at and I feel showers should be included. The lack of wifi with no cell signal wasn't ideal, but I had a feeling the staff had WiFi. The breakfast was lovely.
Great location with Punta Penia and Ombretta nearby. Wonderful nature and views. Excellent service and nice food. I would highly recommend it for visiting.
Food is incredible (and I'm vegan)
