Second time visiting the spa. First time was 12 years ago and would definitely return. The place is very clean and well looked after. Love the pool (even though it was a bit cooler than expected) such a nice atmosphere here. Had a lovely himalayan hot stone massage and facial. The heated beds to sit on beforehand were a lovely touch. Parking is fine, staff great. Recommend getting the gown and towel package, definitely made the difference.
Very warm welcome from the reception staff. Lovely nice clean spa. Had a lovely Himalayan salt stone back massage with Megan. She was lovely and friendly but professional and the massage was good. The dehumidifier in the room was loud and she was unable to turn it off. This spoilt the overall experience for me as I found the noise irritating. Pool area was nice but there are not enough beds or chairs for people to be able to relax and read in the pool area and nowhere else to sit and relax. Cafe is okay, prices reasonable. Overall good value for money for a half day experience but not enough to do for a whole day.
I had a Himalayan Salt Stone massage at Bannatyne Fairfield today, it was so relaxing! Christine was really friendly and professional and made me feel completely comfortable. The massage itself was a full body, the salt stones were hot which was lovely and also exfoliating which was a bonus. After the treatment, I wanted to buy an Elemis cleanser and Christine was very knowledgeable about the products and helped me choose what was best for me and my skin. I bought the Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash and I have just used it for the first time. It had a nice gentle scent and my skin feels lovely and soft (which is not a given for me!). Thank you Christine!
Absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere, the staff and the building. We were greeted and told where everything was. The changing spaces were spacious and really modern. Lockers were a great size and the showers were lovely. Swimming pool was so relaxing with jacuzzi, steam and sauna. Restaurant food was easy to order and not too expensive. Food tastes great and quality was amazing. Had a cheeky cocktail and that went down a treat. The spa facility was beautiful! Great architecture and a great history. The treatment was perfect, great room temperature, relaxing and I could have stayed for longer! Will be back!
Had a lovely experience at Bannatynes Spa at Fairfield. Me and my mum decided to treat ourselves for my birthday to a spa day. The spa facilities were lovely as they have been before and it was so relaxing to be able to use the sauna and steam room after our swim. I will say the best part of the day was our treatments. We both had mini back massages and facials. Christine was my masseuse and she was amazing! She made me feel so relaxed and gave me great advice on how to look after my skin. She was so lovely and sweet and I truly couldn’t have asked for someone better to give me my birthday massage!
I had the absolute pleasure of a deep tissue massage with Jamila, and it was outstanding from start to finish. She was professional, kind, and genuinely listened to what I needed. For the first time, I felt like I had a real massage—targeted, effective, and exactly what my body needed, unlike previous experiences elsewhere. Jamila’s skill and care made such a difference, and she’s the reason I’ll be coming back to Bannatyne Spa Fairfield. Thank you, Jamila, for not only easing my aches but also leaving me feeling refreshed and cared for.
Spa day. All staff very friendly. Facilities very good (full Technogym equipment). Food is good quality and reasonably priced. With vegan options :) Pool can get busy but if you’re just chilling and not using it to swim lengths it’s absolutely fine.
Lovely relaxing spa day, brilliant value for money with the 2 x 30min treatments. Mum and I had an express facial and back/neck/shoulder massage. It was lovely, we couldn't use the pool as a class was on but the sauna, steam and jacuzzi were fab! Great Gluten / Dairy free options for lunch too! We had a fab experience from start to finish x

The mill is a great and really interesting place to visit. There are knowledgeable volunteers that really bring it to life and loved seeing how the milling process worked. Delicious cakes in the tea room. The nature reserve is beautiful too.
It was such a beautiful, calm walk. I really enjoyed that dogs must be on leads – it made me feel safer with my dog around. The scenery was simply delightful, and I’ll definitely be returning with my new pup to explore the smells and sights.
While it's only open occasionally (Sunday afternoon when we went), I found it a fascinating place. It's free to enter and see the workings of the mill. It was restored after a fire in the 1990s. The all volunteer workforce are knowledgeable and very friendly. It would be a great place to take kids, to see how things work, as you can see it all here.
What a wonderful day out. Picturesque setting, and a brilliant tour guide around the Mill. Highly recommended.
Visited for the Working Steam Weekend and Agricultural Show on Sunday 8th October and what a fantastic day it was. The weather was superb very warm for the time of the year. There was plenty to see and do with stalls selling coffee, beer and food as well as local art and craft and various other stalls, there was even a sheep shearing demonstration. Was great to see so many vintage steam engines in action and operating all kinds of machinery. the ploughing demonstration was very interesting to watch. The mill was open and working which gave a great insight to how these mills worked back in the day.
May 25 Steam County Fair - lots of smaller stalls around main theme of steam traction engines, selling crafts, tools, artisan food, sweets etc. Several fairground rides, motorcycle stunt displays, sheepdog trials show herding geese, and Hawker Hurricane fly over, and other displays. Food and drink not cheap, but not as expensive as some similar events. Only worry was lots of small steam traction engines running, not fenced off, with children passing very close to front chimney stacks - very hot - one misplaced hand.....
Spontaneous day out turned great 6.yo daughter had lots of fun, made her own flour and dressed up as a miller. Was amazing to see the milling process in action and she got to get involved. All the staff were lovely, will definitely go back next year when open
Very interesting place. It is open most Sundays (from end of March to Sept in 2025) from 12.30pm to 5pm with the mill actually running and milling flour up to about 3 times during the afternoon. They had just finished the demonstration when we arrived. The volunteers are really lovely and very knowledgeable. There is a small cafe serving tea, coffee and cakes, and soup and bread rolls for lunch. The shop sells their own stone-ground flour amongst other things. Highly recommend.

We had so much fun today at this studio! Amanda was great with the kids and made us feel right at home! There’s a great selection on ceramics to paint and plenty of colours to use. It’s fun for all the family.
Great place to go for something different to do. Attended a children's pottery painting party & also got a couple of paw prints of my dogs. Very friendly staff & really good with children. Lots of choice of items to paint in different price ranges to suit all pockets. Small carpark at the front of the shop.
Very friendly service, good value and fun. We went as a group with babies, the owner stayed with us the whole visit helping us to get foot and handprints from our little ones and helped us make some lovely keepsakes and gifts. Would highly recommend. We have booked to go again already!
We went here to paint some Christmas baubles as gifts. It's a lovely place, a friendly welcome and lots of items to choose from to decorate. We (myself, my husband and our boys) all had a great time!
Fantastic family run pottery studio, great fun for all ages and perfect for some 'me time' too! Lots of choice and very exciting to see the change once glazed and fired. We have painted a number of items over the last 4 years and will continue to do so! My 6, 8 and 9 year old love it here.
Lovely calm place to spend the afternoon teasing your creative side with some pottery painting. Staff are very friendly and on hand to guide you with tips if needed. Good selection of pottery to choose from, with samples for ideas.
Had to find something to do for an hour whilst in-laws were visiting relatives in Letchworth. A search found this place and we turned up on spec. The lady in charge was very helpful and explained how everything worked. Good place to spend a couple of hours with children.
This was a friendly little place great for small groups or large parties in the room next door. The range of crafts is more extensive than the disappointing drinks\snack menu. The toilets are probably not ment for customers as they are rather dated and somewhat spalshed with paint ;) I would go back. It's accessable on the ground floor and has a fair sized car park.

Brilliant Pub/ hotel / restaurant. The room was perfect. Comfy bed with spotless linen, brand new Krups coffee machine and a great en suite shower & w/c. The Full English was as good as I’ve had anywhere and the service by the very lovely Hanna was excellent - as was the Tenderloin of Pork I had for dinner last night. Thoroughly recommend!
Lovely impromptu visit to this little gem. Gorgeous food, lovely staff and friendly welcoming atmosphere. Had sag aloo dish followed by strawberry cheesecake. Has accommodation which looks very cute with courtyard style garden. Definitely worth a second visit.
Visited for an impromptu lunch and couldn’t have asked for a better Saturday meal! We ordered the steak sandwich which was heavenly and cooked perfectly and the fish and chips which was delicious and filling. A bustling country pub with a homely feel and kind, attentive staff. Will be back again soon 💓
The food quality of food served did not match the price charged. The burger was over cooked and burnt around the edges. The meat was quite dry, the fries that accompanied the burger were tasty. Service was pleasant enough and there wasn’t a long wait for service which was good. Good size car park.
We had a lovely meal at the Crown last night to round off our anniversary, and it was fantastic! The staff were really welcoming, the starters were delicious, and both the burger and chicken burger we had for mains were very good. A great experience overall. Thank you to everyone at The Crown for making our evening special!
Had a Sunday roast at the Crown, I opted for the chicken, but was very disappointed, as extremely small portion, and the general quality of the meal was substandard, gravy like water. On the plus side the staff were all very polite and I really can't fault them, however, I would certainly not recommend the Sunday roast.
Nice outside seating area for a Friday evening drinks and catch up with a friend. Drinks reasonably priced, helpful friendly staff. Highly recommended
We were camping locally and The Crown were just brilliant when we booked for 27 people for lunch. The food arrived warm and very tasty and the serving staff were excellent. Thank you.

We’ve just returned from holiday and we booked Greenacre Transfers for our airport trips. This is our second time using this service. We were travelling as a family of four and it was the best experience. First class luxury all the way! Our driver Erhan was extremely polite and helpful, the travel was on time and the communication was exceptional. It was such peace of mind knowing we were being looked after and could start and end our holiday in pure comfort. Our kids felt like celebrities! Thank you to this fantastic company, we will be booking in again for our next trip soon.
I could not recommend Greenacre transfers more! Excellent communication, timely pick up, help with our luggage loading and unloading the car either end for our airport runs. Just an absolute 5 star service. Will not hesitate to use them again when/if required and will be making sure to recommend to all family and friends! Car is so comfortable, there is phone chargers, tissues, bottles of water and even wipes! Thank you so much for providing the most amazing service for us ❤️
Fantastic service throughout the experience of using Greenacre for our holiday transfers. Very responsive, very professional, keeping us well informed. Wholeheartedly would recommend and will be for sure using again next time!
We used Greenacre Transfers to take us to Luton airport for our recent holiday. They were absolutely brilliant, Erhan our driver was very professional and patient as on our return we had to wait almost an hour to collect our luggage. We will definitely use them again and we can highly recommend.
The driving staff are extremely helpful ,go beyond their way to make sure all our needs are taken care off. Communicate throughout, perfect timing for collection, if delay during homeward bound apology ,reason given .Clean immaculate transfers, with bottles of drinks, wet wipes, tissues. Well mannered, polite, immaculate, transfer staff.Always willing to stop if needed for toilet purposes . We would thoroughly recommend Greenacre transfers. Mr&Mrs D.Heath.
Greenacres gave an absolutely top service for our transfers to and from Heathrow. Erhan arrived early for both pick ups and could not have been more professional or friendly. I could not recommend their service highly enough.
From my initial enquiry to the pick up at the airport, the Greenacres team were the utmost professionals. Dawn made the arrangements by email, a smooth process. Communication on the day before the pick up was appreciated, to confirm the driver details. On the day of the pick up I had further messages about where to meet Erhan, my driver, which was helpful. The car was comfortable, Erhan was very smartly dressed, and water was available (very much appreciated on a hot day). All in all, highly recommended! Will definitely book again for future trips.
First time using this company and I couldn’t fault it at all. Great service and will 100% use again. Have recommended to friends and family. Erhan was great

Great pub,great live bands
Busy pub, long wait for drinks although there was an event on.
Always was a good pub, but following an expansion and bigger garden it is better than ever. Great friendly staff and splendid atmosphere. Always lively and always something going on, music, festivals etc.
Lovely staff, great that it's got a noisy section and a quiet area, and brilliant that it's dog friendly 😁🐺
LOVE this place, I've been frequenting the coach for somewhere around 15 years, even now I've moved out of the village. Friendly, fun loving staff, always a welcoming atmosphere and a truly lovely place to be.
I go to the Coach regularly and the staff are always very welcoming especially Karen always knows what you are drinking and with a smile. Great pub.
