Very good ski station, that you can access from several villages of the valley. Very well organised in terms of parking places or access by shuttle buses. Very nice slopes, we enjoyed with our children’s. Several restaurants, small cafes and nice view points. Schools available for children and adults. You can spend good skiing week here. In the villages you can find everything needed, groceries, équipement to rent equipment. We came here for 2 years in a row
Nice place but for rather advanced skiers, many runs quite challenging. Variability of pistes also limited. We’ve been there on nice day but runs were very icy and dangerous
Fantastic ski slopes. 42 of 45 open despite there being a lack of snow in Europe this season. Plenty snow on the upper slopes. Not too busy. Great food. Very quiet though, not a party resort. Good for families and young children. Has a creche or kindergarten for our 3yr old. There are plenty of red runs and a couple blacks and couple blue. Demanding slopes which can tire you out quickly. You need to be fairly fit.
A lot of skiing of course and the insfrastructure is very good. But they have mostly red ski runs, so one who is not very strong gets tired quite soon. And it is not the best choice for the begginers nor children. More experienced in skiing should come back satisfied, however I ski for a while and during 5 days in Ski Juwel I missed blue, wide ski run from time to time.
Ski Juwel seems small but it offers a lot!! Beginner friendly! We went mid March, there was plenty of snow from the middle bahn up.
I experienced the Wiedersbergerhornbahn top station at Ski Juwel Alpbachtal as hiker. The access to the valley station could be easily done free of charge by local Skibuses and with Alpbachtal guest card. We bought tickets at the desk but it is advised to book it in advance. The facilities are excellent but there are only two restaurants at the top with limited seats and tables. That means you have to book a table in the morning or a day before if you want to have the lunch between 12 and 1 PM when most of the skiers take a meal break. The landscape of Tyrolean Alps was unforgettable and we fully enjoyed it!
Stunning , fantastic area . Lovely slopes .Very friendly ski school staff . Can’t wait to come back next year . Austria is beautiful.
Very crowded and runs not the best. Lots of blue trails that cross runs and create dangerous drop offs on the red pistes. Seen 2 helicopters pick up skiiers the day we were there. Also they advertise as a large area, but it's not all interconnected. So you can not ski the whole area without having to either bus or drive between some mountains! One part does not even have a run down to a bottom station, have to take a gondola down. However there is one lovely nice long run, from the top of the schatzbergalm (gondola) down to Auffach. That's a nice long run. Won't go back however.

Grave of great physicist Erwin Schröndinger
It's a beautiful Tyrolean parish church in one of the most beautiful Tyrolean villages. (Alpbach is one of Tyrol's most well-preserved villages partly due to extremely tight restrictions on what can and cannot be built, which were imposed to preserve its traditional character. The laws have certainly had their desired effect as this is one of Tyrol's prettiest areas .) This beautiful church in Alpbach is well worth a visit especially if you happened to be in the area. The inside of the church is gorgeous (photos). It was first mentioned in a document in 1369, and a consecration has come down in 1420. Its core is Gothic, but the interior definitely looks like Baroque in style. The first church was mentioned in 1369, and a larger one was consecrated in 1420 in honor of Saint Oswald, an Anglo-Saxon King from Northumbria. The church tower is from that period. The current church was built around 1720 in the Baroque style. The high altar, women's altar and cross altar come from the local artist family. The organ was built by Ferdinand Fuchs in 1777 and expanded in 1954; the Rococo façade was preserved. The Alpbach Cemetery is also worth seeing because hardly any other resting place is as well cared for as this one. In addition to the lovingly designed graves with their artistically forged crosses, you can visit the grave of Erwin Schrödinger, a Nobel Prize winner and the Austrian nuclear physicist, who died in 1961, found his final resting place at the village cemetery in Alpbach. Whether you are going to church or praying or just admiring the beautiful artwork inside, I highly recommend you visit this gem in Alpbach.
(Translated by Google) How beautiful do you want to be? Churches in the Alpbachtal. Yes 😁🤣 I'm actually not a church goer. But once you get a taste for it. And let yourself be impressed by what’s on the inside. Craziness. A visit is definitely worth it. Small donation included. And the day becomes much more beautiful. (Original) Wie schön willst du sein? Kirchen im Alpbachtal. Jaaa 😁🤣 bin eigentlich kein Kirchen Geher. Wahnsinn. Ein Besuch lohnt sich allemal. Kleine Spende dazu. Und der Tag wird gleich viel schöner.
Erwin Schrödinger Tomb
(Translated by Google) It is a very beautiful church surrounded by a beautiful cemetery where Edwin Schrödinger's grave is. They are all very similar tu Bas but the characteristics of this one is that it has a musical flute. The building on the outside, like other churches in the country, is quite austere, but on the inside it is truly beautiful. (Translated by Google) The church is in the center of the town and stands out for its colorful exterior. Behind it is the cemetery and next to it is a chapel and a water fountain. The interior is richly decorated with beautiful paintings, the most notable are that of Saint Oswaldo and the other shows the apostles holding the mantle over the tomb of Mary when she is elevated to heaven in her dormancy, she is being crowned as Queen of Heaven and standing, Jesus Christ appears triumphant holding a cross and next to the throne that is to the right of the Father who is observing and approving the entire scene, above the representation of the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove. It has three main altarpieces beautifully decorated in gold with many figures of Saints and Angels and in the main one above the Tabernacle there are small figures of Jesus Christ on the cross Mary and Saint John above it a statuette of the Holy Spirit in the shape of a dove with rays around and behind the figure of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and in the background you can see a large painting where the saint to whom the church is dedicated appears.

Really great week with Vicky, Pauli and Dave... Enthusiastic, patient and with great technical knowledge - but also keeping things simple and relaxed. Really can feel so much improvement in a week, just need to go practice it somewhere now. Thanks to the team!
In our snowboard group we had kids with different levels but our instructor Marie managed perfectly. She took our concerns into account and she was very flexible. The kids loved her and she was so nice! Thanks to her I feel comfortable giving tips to the kids myself. A job well done!!
I had two private snowboarding with Alejandra at Aktive Alpbach and had a great experience. She made me feel so comfortable on the mountain and listened to exactly what I wanted to acheive with the lessons. The lessons were a perfect balance of fun and challenging. I finished the lessons with better technique and much more confidence. Would very much reccomend both Aktiv Alpbach and Alejandra.
This week we had the chance to snowboard with Walter for six days. He made our week fantastic! He brought out the best in us. It was my 7th week snowboarding and I learned more in these couple of days than I did in the past years. He let us decide what we wanted to do, was really friendly and gave us lots of tips. Best snowboard teacher I ever had! If you already know how to snowboard and you want to challenge yourself, ask for Walter ;)
Choose this company for your kids! Amazing experience, thanks for saving the kids and our day. The kids loved Richard and had a great afternoon skiing, really made my holiday watching them learn. If you are coming to Alpbach with kids I recommend these guys, professional setup on the mountain and love what they do.
How disappointing. Having skied on a black run several years ago but being a little rusty we were surprised to be put in a group with people who had never skied before. I insisted that we were moved. Another couple, who were probably better than us, moved at the same time. The following day we were put into yet another group - including somebody who had been on a blue run only twice before. We even asked for private tuition - but were virtually laughed at because these were booked up months ago! We left, as did another couple. This was grouping to availability rather than ability. We heard other horror stories during the week. We initially requested a six day course only to find out (after committing) that courses end on a Thursday - so only a four day course was possible. If we wanted more than four days we needed to book private tuition - somewhat a contradiction. We had a totally different and better experience with skischule-alpbach
Droped our two year old at the kids centre today. Wasnt sure what to expect but perfect for me and my wife to have a days skiing while she had great fun (playing ect with with skiing) the super nice team there. No booking needed and super flexible. 5star and highly recommend!!
Transformed my skiing for the better. One simple exercise, so much changed. Thank you Frans.

Tourist information center
Visitor Centers
Slide 1 of 8
Right in the centre of the village, the Tourist Information centre is a good place to start your exploration of the area. They have plenty of leaflets showing what is available, together with maps, bus timetables, etc. On my visit the assistant was fluent in English which was a great help to me, and was very helpful in answering my queries. If you happen to be there when it is closed there is a rack outside with maps and other information for you to help yourself.
My husband, our 1.5 year old baby boy and I are visiting Alpbachtal for 10 days. When hiking to the Farmkehralm we parked at the last parking available (parkplatz Greiteregg). This was a very large parking where there was only 1 other car parked, but in the length and not neat side to side. We parked behind this car, just for convenience. Of course we payed the €3 day parking price. After coming back we discovered a €20 fine for 'nicht platzsparend parken', while there is parking space for over 50 cars and there were only 5 cars parked. It is unknown who caused us to have this fine, but for us this is how we feel about the hospitality in the region.. Okay our parking was not very social, but this feels a bit over the top. No coming back for us.
Really helpful and friendly staff. They provide info and brochures about different activities and services. This village seems to be in the middle of nowhere, but it's amazing how many activities they offer to do to take advantage of the natural surroundings.
Very helpful and friendly
Very friendly staff

Awesome fun for the whole family. Not expensive. All the way on top of the mountain. Great views. Children can really have a good time here. Restaurant also available with amazing view of The Valley
Very fun coaster, the first one we encountered where 3year olds may join as well! Lots of turns, our kids loved it. Not very cheap, but I don’t think any of the coasters are to be fair.
Wow ! Great place, very friendly for children!
Highlight of the European Forum Alpbach 😎
The alpine coaster is a fun experience great for families. It was a shorter ride than expected but you can adjust your speed, so you can make it as thrilling as you like. Worth doing if you're already on the mountain. Great view. It's a little roller coaster.
Nice ride. Able to buy extra tickets for rides also from top station. Great park with great activities for the kids including slides, adventure challenge track, climbing wall, jumping inflatable mat, ...
Completly useless, its 2min of fun i went with 2 kids we went 20km/u the end is around 5-6min going up very steep and its painful on the back cuz of the plasitic DONT GOO

Very good place for famaily and kids! Recommend!
Very fun park, we noticed that the play areas are fun for all ages, including older kids of 8+ years, with a more challenging obstacle course. From the restaurant you’ve got a perfect view of the play slide and jumping pillow. Minus point: the kugelbahn used a bigger type of marbles, so it is annoying that the regular sized ones don’t work here. We walked down from the Bergstation to the mid station, following the family walk on the teichweg, but be advised that it isn’t really stroller friendly! You may be able to walk parts of it and other parts on the gravel road, but there were several signs that this road is private, so I can’t recommend it.
Great park for kids and families
Great for half a day with the kids. We took the gondola upwards, spent about 2-3 hours on the mountain, there are plenty of play opportunities for the kids. Took the Teichweg walking down, with a 7 year old walking and a 2 year old on the back, took us around 1-1.5 hours of easy walking with snack breaks, until the middle gondola station.
Wonderful playground for kids. Most of it is made for kids which are a „bit bigger“, but my two year old also had a blast. Water, climbing, balance opportunities, everything there. Thank You
Amazing place for kids and adults. Must take the ride, there are cows and fire pit, and lots of games
Nice place to visit with family. The view is a very awesome and nice game for kids.

Very nice mountain to go through for some more hiking in the area. It's also very easy to hike if you take a lift.
(Translated by Google) From the summit you have a great panoramic view of the valleys. The climb from the mountain station takes about 45 minutes, it's quite steep in places, sturdy shoes are strongly recommended but it's worth it.
(Translated by Google) Nice alternative ski tour if the snow otherwise looks pretty poor. The normal ascent starts from the Pöglbahn car park in a southerly direction. If there is very little snow, you go up a little to the left of the lift and outside the piste. Later on the Zieweg to the mountain station. The last few meters are then a walk to the summit and you go down via the slopes.
(Translated by Google) The summit is relatively easy to climb. The mountain railway takes the hiker up to just before the summit. This is followed by an approximately 1 hour hike up the mountain to the summit cross. The book is already there waiting for the entry. The view of the surrounding mountains rewards the hiker for the climb. There is also a spectacular summer toboggan run at the mountain station. Highly recommended.
(Translated by Google) You can go up and down with the gondola. The last gondola leaves at 5 p.m. There are children's playgrounds and a restaurant upstairs. Ideal for families with children. There are 4 hiking trails you can walk there. Either directly to the top OR around this mountain (360* panoramic path) OR if you want to go down then you have to go over the other adjacent mountains to get to Inneralpach OR walk directly down from Wiedersberger Horn. I walked half of the panoramic path and like it because of the many benches for seating. Then I continued hiking to the Hamberg, Standkopf, Gamskopf and Dristenkopf. Really very beautiful rock. From there I walked downhill towards Inneralpbach. This route is very beautiful at the beginning, but when the pasture is over and the road comes, which consists of seemingly endless loops, the path is really desolate.

It's beautiful, but no different than most Austrian mountain towns. To be honest, they are all gorgeous! With their amazing colorful flowers on all houses, their green grass always cut so neatly, the fact that most houses have natural fences (from trees or bushes), the architecture that perfectly blends with the surroundings. Just amazing - it's worth the visit, but, again, just have a drive through these towns - it' s incredibly beautiful and relaxing. For nature lovers it's a real treat! (Just one thing worth mentioning: we were there in the weekend and everything was closed between 1pm-3pm.)
Alpbachtal (Alpbach valley) lies in the Austrian state of Tirol. It's about 30 miles from the state capital of Innsbruck and is a side valley off the main Inn valley. It comprises of just 3 villages, Reith at the lower end, Alpbach in the middle and Inner Alpbach at the top. It's one of the most scenic places I have ever visited and my wife and I keep being drawn back to it's beauty. It's surrounded by 7000ft mountains on all sides, Gratlspitz and Schatzberg on one side, Grosser Galtenberg at the end and Wiedersbergerhorn and Standkopf on the other side. There are lush green meadows everywhere interspersed with small farms raising cattle and a few sheep. The milk, cheese and butter from these cows is amazing. If you stay at an approved Hotel, guest house or apartment you will be given an Alpbachtal card which entitled you to free bus transport in the area which covers 10 villages in total. Along with that you get free rides on the gondolas at Wiedersbergerhorn and the Reitherkoglbahn which take you up those mountains during the summer season. Alpbach has won the "Prettiest village in Austria" competition mainly due to it's lovely floral displays and the traditional looks of all of its buildings which is strictly controlled by the councils. None of your modern stuff here!!
Wonderful nature, excellent opportunities for walking, hiking, cycling ... People are polite and friendly.
Alpbach is a small settlement in Tyrol of particular beauty and very quiet in the summer months. The chalets decorated with flowers are wonderful and create an atmosphere of calm and peace.
Great place for skiing on the weekend - not very crowded, short wait for the lifts, good slopes.
Beautiful little Picturesque village .

(Translated by Google) Hmmmm, it's actually a shame: it's a small brewery but the owner is pretty unfriendly. People don't like to drive by there to buy it. You used to be able to buy beer at Spar in Alpbach, but unfortunately it's no longer available there. Well, thank God there are many other delicious beers around here.
(Translated by Google) Local brewery. The service is not the friendliest, but the beer is excellent (9.5 points).
