Such a beautiful trail through woods and rivers, up to the waterfalls. Some dodgy bridges but easily crossed. You can do this without entering the water, you can also scramble through the waterfalls, very cold water but worth it! There are some sketchy stairs to walk up and down the other side where you can slide through the falls back down the river.
Fun hike and experience past the river and waterfalls. Not an easy path as you cross over multiple surfaces, so it is a good challenge. Make sure to wear swimming clothes if you want to make it to the final waterfall. Best to park near the beach.
⸻ If you’re in Samos, this is an absolute must-visit! If you love adventure, water, and waterfalls, this place is perfect for you. It was truly an amazing experience. There’s no rope at the first crossing, but the second part has a rope to help you pass. Alternatively, you can use the ladder to get to the other side — it’s definitely the easier option. The water was beautiful — not freezing cold, just refreshing enough. One of the most stunning waterfalls I’ve ever seen in my life. Highly recommended!
Very nice walk. Bring your swimsuit if you want to see the first waterfall. At the restaurant, feel free to ask if you can see the food, the cook will be delighted to show you.
Nice, interesting place to visit. There is a lot of green trees and bush, calm river and rest from sun. First of all: you need waterproof bag, shoes for water and rocks and good condition. To reach first waterfall it’s sth around 15-20 minutes of walk, then you have to swim sth around one minute in cold water and you’ll see first of them. Nothing complicated, but still: you have to swim and don’t be afraid about rocks. Too see another ones, you need go by stairs (they are pretty scary) and then reaching taverna, go down also by stairs and steep hillside. On the right there is second waterfall (you have to go through the river). On the left, you have to go sth around 20 minutes in the river bed - a lot of slippy rocks. Be careful! It’s not for people who are not physically active. Although, still worth to see it.
Beautiful place. getting to the falls requires some wading and occasional short swims in cold water. Don't leave your expensive Salomon walking shoes at the start though as someone will steal them while leaving cheaper trainers and other stuff 🤬
Quite cool place but water cold as ice, even in July. Water shoes are necessary, just like swimming ability cause in one place in deeper, without feeling ground.
Bring good water shoes not flipflops. A wetbag to put your belongings (phone, water, a fruit), swimwear and strong knees and hands ;)To get to the "first part" of The waterfall you need to go up the wooden stairs (5min climb) then you go down on the side of the restaurant. Enjoy the adventure, take you time don't rush it. "Second part" we couldn't get there cause we weren't stong enough to pull ourselves up the rope. I wish I was cause I enjoyed that part we did do.

Although this beach isn't sandy, it doesn't lose its appeal. The multicolored rocks sparkle here like glints of gold and diamonds. It's amazing just to go rock hunting but please leave them here. It's not so crowded either. The waves crest enough that you should be a good swimmer. If you have snorkeling gear, the reefs nearby should give you amazing views for the flora and fauna.
Nice and clean beach and the sea. Only down side is there is no option for food or drinks. Bring your own water.
It is a stony and very wavy beach. There are lots of snacks to eat and drink. Prices are not very cheap at average island prices. However, there are extreme waves in the afternoon, I recommend you to check the weather and wind conditions before going.
It's really beautiful but the wind and waves make it hard to enjoy unless you just spend the whole day looking at it.
Nice beach with bars but there is not too much shadow there (only few trees and sunbeds which get occupied pretty early in the morning). But worth a visit if you are nearby
Very, very windy. Nice waves, rocky beach, doesn’t differ much from the other beaches from the area.
Very nice beach, few bars and restaurants. You can find tree shadow or you can pay for sunbeds and umbrellas
Great beach, clear waters, ample free space, cool beach bars

Don’t go, you won’t like the drive or the hike. Ok, if you made it this far, it’s great. Depending on the route, you will hike 20-40 minutes. There is a lot of elevation and uneven terrain so it’s not great for those who don’t do well in that environment. The beach and water are amazing. Rocks, bring water socks.
Smaller cove halfway to the larger Megalo Saitani beach makes a good rest stop either way. Only accessible by trail with some steep inclines, not really suitable for smaller kids or anyone not used to scrabbling.
The water’s insanely clear, and it's super chill and tranquil since most people can’t hack the mountain trek. The hike’s a total vibe, with jaw-dropping views. Perfect place to sunbathe, whether you're going topless or all out!
nice, small nature beach with tooooo much waves?... 40 minutes hike with nice views, especially on the end, partly youbwalk in the direkt sun, other parts are in shade. Bring snaks and enough drinks, sown there and on the way its nothing
My mum and I drove there following Google Maps’ directions. The road is paved but quite narrow, with many sharp turns and steep cliffs. It’s not clear where the walking path begins and the driving part ends. After an hour and a half driving inland along these roads, we found the area completely deserted and decided to turn back. So, be careful about the road conditions.
Easy 20 minutes hike with good trail shoes. Slippers might take longer and have to be more carefull. From Potami beach drive up untill the car road ends, that’s where the trail begins. We did it with a small normal car, no problem. Some forest path and some uneven parts with rocks and a bit steep in places. Nothing dangerous! The most beautiful beach on Samos!
The road to this place is totally off road. There is no sign and information on how to get there by car. Downhill crazy steep road and also uphill. Make sure your car can make it so you can leave the place. We found some destroyed olive mill, left the car and continued on foot around 2.5 mi kilometers. Views are nice. The beach itself looks interesting, it is very small with big waves. You can also opt for some hiking from Potami village, it is probably a more common way to get there.
Extremely beautiful beach which is untouched due to its location. Stone beach. Be sure to have swimming shoes on, works without as well but you will enjoy the experience more without thinking about the rocks. Takes around 35 min from the end point of potami Beach. If you are in samos, have access to a car and don't have trouble with walking 35min in the woods then this is an opportunity to visit this place. If there is only one place to visit, it should be this beach.

Super nice! Water is crystal clear. Beautiful hike to get there. When you go there bring your snacks, there is no bar so be prepared. Don’t forget to wear hiking shoes ( NO FLIP FLOPS). It is an hour hike or more for most people. The selling point is that there are almost no people on that beach. Great for peace of mind.
There are no words to describe how beautiful it is! To reach it you go by car from the Potami beach and continue further to dirt road until you reach the begining of the path.
Beautiful isolated shingle and sand beach, only really accessible by hiking trail so not suited to young children or those with mobility issues. No facilities or taverna here so bring plenty of water and take your litter with you.
We can't talk about the hike coming from mikro seitani because we wanted to go straight to megalo seitani by car. Personally, we think the way Google maps lines out the way (see pictures attached) when entering megalo seitani as destination should be changed. Especially the last part ~20 min before arrival shouldn't be marked as "normal road". It is a very rocky, very steep dirt road that most people will feel very uncomfortable driving down and that doesn't even exactly lead to where maps sets the final destination. So not suitable for every car/driver in our opinion, would have never done it with my own car. However, once you you get close to the final destination, find a "parking spot" and make the additional 30-40 min hike you get a wonderful view and can spend some time at this beautiful beach. Considering other reviews it probably makes sense to start the hike at an earlier point being mikro seitani/potami. Or maybe there is a more suitable parking spot that we didn't know about.
We did the hike from the start of trail #1. First Micro Seitani then onto Megalo Seitani. In our opinion, this is more challenging than a 1/5 rating. There are many parts that are steep and rocky. We are physically fit, but maybe not used to hiking like some of the other enthusiasts that do it all the time. Nevertheless, it’s a stunning adventure and the beauty of the walk alone will take your breath away! I advise wearing closed toe shoes and having a walking stick to balance on the rocks.
A beach by it's own class. No streets going there, you have to get there by foot or boat. So if you're lucky, you'll be there on your own. There are a few houses (probably illegal), but apart from that you'll find rather untouched nature in all it's beauty.
Beautiful secluded beach, worth additional 30 min. hike from Mikro Seitani. Footpath is clear and marked.
Amazing big natural beach that is barely visited. The water is amazing and there is a lot of tranquillity to be found there.

Great coffee, snacks & chilled out music. Magically lit up at night, watch the sunset with a yummy home made pizza & delicious cocktail 💜 My favourite place in Potami, Karlovasi!
Very friendly waitress and a fantastic view of the sunset due to the elevated position of the restaurant. Highly recommend to visit after (or before) you the hike to the Potami waterfalls
Great, chill place , with relaxing music, run by super friendly Maria. Best coffee on the island. 👍👌🙌
A nice place with extremely friendly service, cool music and a funny cat that looks like the legendary Panzerknacker from Donald Duck's home Entenhausen. This open air bar is great for a coffee as for a late night drink. Love it!
Lovely place as always. Staff, music, atmosphere, the best on the island. Don’t miss that place
10/10 Club Sandwich. Not too stuffed, just right! And the perfect amount of sauce 😁
The five stars for the cocktail Margarita!! It's the original taste and portion!!It's the best in Samos! Visit for sure!

Perfect spot for a full day out. The sea is beautiful and very clean, though quite deep—so families with small children should take care. There are plenty of shaded areas, and the restaurant is completely under shade, which is a big plus on hot days. The food is mostly snacks, but tasty. Cleanliness was very good. We arrived at 11:00 AM and the place was about 50% full; by midday, it was fully occupied. Highly recommended for a relaxing and enjoyable day.
The sea in the bay where Navagos Beach is located is truly wonderful. If the business is at full capacity, the service slows down. You can get better service during quieter times. We paid 10 Euros for two sunbeds and umbrella at 2nd in line.
Watch out for the staircase photo – it leads to the nudist beach! I think Navagos is one of the better beaches on the island, it's quite popular among Turkish tourists. Since I went in the morning, it was peaceful and quiet until noon. After that, music and kids’ voices increased, so I wouldn’t recommend going in the afternoon if you're looking for tranquility. Sunbeds by the sea cost €10 per person, while those in the middle area under the trees are €5 per person. There are also cabana-style options available. I recommend choosing the grassy, shaded middle area. Unlike some other beach, they do charge for sunbeds here even if you order food and drinks. Entering the sea is a bit challenging due to the pebbles, so water shoes are a must. Since it's surrounded by mountains, there are no waves. I accidentally took the stairs shown in the photo and ended up at the nudist beach. Navagos Beach is actually 500 meters ahead! ☺️
We had a wonderful time at this beach! The sunbeds were very comfortable, everything was clean and well organized. The atmosphere was relaxing, and both the food and drinks were delicious. Definitely a great spot to enjoy the sea and spend the day! The water might be cold for kids but it was very clean
We’ve been coming to Navagos Beach every summer since 2019, and it truly feels like our little paradise in Samos. The crystal-clear sea, delicious food, and peaceful atmosphere never disappoint. What really makes this place special, though, is the people. The staff is always welcoming and kind — a big shout-out to Marilena, who speaks fluent Turkish and goes above and beyond with her warm energy and incredible work ethic. Navagos isn’t just a beach for us anymore — it’s full of memories, smiles, and a sense of home away from home. 💙
We used the beach for a day. You should go early to find a spot in front rows. The prices changes according to where you want to sit. Around the pool and bar area the music sound was a little bit high. The service and the food was ok if you don’t have high expectations. The sea was really enjoyable. It is a pebbled beach so I recommend to use a beach shoe.
From all the beaches we visited (psili ammos, kerveli, mikali, potami) absolutely the best one! Reasonable sunbed prices 10€ set second row. Nice beds ,showers, good food, lovely cafe/restaurant Kind service and most of all the clearest sea ever seen!!
Navagos Beach in Samos offers an unforgettable experience with its amazing atmosphere. The serene and picturesque setting makes it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. We ordered the cheese plate, and it was simply delicious—an excellent combination of flavors that perfectly complemented the beach vibe. The sunbeds were also fantastic; for 10 euros, we got two sunbeds and an umbrella. Despite arriving at the beach around 3 or 4 PM, we were pleasantly surprised to find a front-row spot right by the sea. It made our day even more perfect. Highly recommend Navagos Beach for anyone looking for a blend of great food, comfort, and stunning views.

Nice little museum for the history of leather companies in Karlovassi.
Disappointingly lacking any references to the evolution of sunblock.
Well worth a visit to find out about the tannery industry in Karlovasi. All aspects of the processing and the skills involved in that explained to us by the very knowledgeable and friendly guide.
Very interesting about the process of leather making!
Unique kind of museum, bad organized though
The museum gives you an opportunity to learn all about tanning. In case you are not familiar with this term, tanning means preparing leather for future use, either as shoe soles, shoes, bags, jackets, or anything else. Samos had this page on its history when it was a major center for preparing leather. Over 50 tanning facilities operated in Karlovasi. Museum keeper, Evangelia, is very caring and knowledgeable. Her expertise knowledge helped me to get acquainted with the world of tanning.

In calm seas, the foundations of the buildings from that time can still be seen underwater. Wine tasting here is a must activity in Samos. Great and tasty wines, authentic place and friendly staff. Nice place to learn about local production, taste and buy local wines.
A very pleasant visit to a winery with beautiful wines. Pleasant and helpful wine tasting guide.Wonderful setting when you taste the wines in the shade of olive trees . Pleased and small snacks with wine. It would sit here for a long time but then what about the car in front of the winery. So we took at least a bottle with us... The visit is definitely worth it.
I have to say, probably the best wine tasting experience I have ever had. The setting is so beautiful and you get a tour of the owner childhood home. We had the opportunity to have the executive tasting under a beautiful olive tree at the front of the building. The hospitality was so kind, genuine and engaged. We love nothing more than to learn new things about wine and also we learnt amazing stories regarding the wines names and the connection to Pythagorus. I was blown away by the quality of the wines and also amazed at how some were pioneering and have never been tried before. Without a doubt, you need to visit!
Review of the Finest Winery in Samos Island Samos Island, in the northeast Aegean, is famous worldwide for its sweet Muscat wines, and during my visit I had the privilege of exploring what I can confidently call the finest winery on the island. This experience went far beyond wine tasting—it was a journey into history, tradition, and the artistry of winemaking. The first impression comes even before you step inside. Nestled in the lush green hills with breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea, the winery’s setting is nothing short of spectacular. Rolling vineyards stretch across the landscape, creating a picture-perfect scene that immediately sets the tone for what awaits inside. The architecture of the winery combines traditional stonework with modern design, giving visitors the sense that they are stepping into a space where history and innovation meet seamlessly. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the staff, whose hospitality matched the beauty of the surroundings. Their passion for Samos wine was clear from the very first conversation. They were not only friendly and attentive but also deeply knowledgeable, eager to share details about the island’s unique soil, climate, and centuries-old winemaking traditions. What impressed me most was how they balanced professionalism with a personal touch, making every visitor feel like an honored guest rather than just another tourist. The guided tour began with an introduction to the history of Samos wine. I learned that the island’s Muscat grapes, which thrive under the strong Aegean sun and cooling sea breezes, have been cultivated here for generations. The winery preserves this tradition while applying state-of-the-art techniques to ensure consistent quality. Walking through the cellar, I was fascinated by the rows of oak barrels, where the sweet dessert wines quietly age to perfection. The atmosphere in the cellar was almost sacred—cool, dimly lit, and filled with the gentle aroma of fermenting grapes and oak. The highlight, of course, was the tasting session. A beautifully arranged table awaited us, with glasses shimmering in the light and bottles ready to be uncorked. The tasting began with dry whites, crisp and aromatic, carrying delicate notes of citrus and herbs. Next came the star of Samos—the renowned sweet Muscat wines. Each sip was a revelation: rich, golden, and bursting with flavors of honey, apricot, and orange blossom. The balance between sweetness and acidity was exquisite, leaving a lingering finish that was both refreshing and luxurious. The staff guided us through each wine, explaining the nuances and suggesting food pairings. I especially appreciated their advice on pairing the Muscat with local cheeses, fresh fruits, and even desserts like baklava. In addition to the wines, the winery also showcased local products, such as olive oil, honey, and herbal teas, all sourced from the island. This thoughtful addition gave visitors the chance to experience the broader culinary culture of Samos. I took the opportunity to purchase a few bottles of Muscat and a small selection of local delicacies, all beautifully packaged and reasonably priced. What sets this winery apart is not only the quality of its wines but also the experience it creates for its visitors. Everything—from the panoramic views to the detailed storytelling, from the cellar’s quiet magic to the joy of tasting—felt authentic, immersive, and deeply memorable. It wasn’t just a visit; it was a celebration of Samos and its rich heritage. I left with a deeper appreciation of the island, a newfound respect for the craftsmanship of its winemakers, and a few treasured bottles that will always remind me of this special place. Whether you are a passionate wine lover, a curious traveler, or simply someone looking to enjoy the beauty of Greek hospitality, this winery is an absolute must-visit on Samos Island. In short: This is the finest winery in Samos—breathtaking location, exceptional wines, welcoming staff, and a truly unforgettable experience.
I could have never imagined such a peaceful and high-quality experience. We joined a one-hour executive tasting session. It’s a well-established family-run business, and the experience began with the story behind it. Elena, who guided us, was incredibly sweet and hosted us wonderfully. A wide range of wines was offered for tasting. We tried a total of 8 wines, and each local grape variety was introduced in detail. Thank you for everything!
We had a really wonderful experience tasting wine, with an awesome presentation from a boy who knew everyting about the place and the wine we were serverd, absolutely worth a visit!
Incredible experience, would recommend it to any winery seekers! Demetra, our host was very knowledgeable and a delightful host.
The winery is set in an incredibly picturesque location – surrounded by hills and vineyards that take your breath away. From the very first moment, you can feel the deep passion for grapes and the art of winemaking. Every detail – from cultivation to the production process – reflects dedication and love for the craft. A perfect place for both wine connoisseurs and those just beginning their wine journey. Highly recommended! 🍇🍷
