This is my third time back with FlySpain. Just completed a MentorPlus and CrossCountry courses, and again excellent! Great and knowledgeable staff. Made every effort to get us in the air but, also with respect to the weather and skill levels, kept it safe. Fred, Paolo, Rob and Nik with there decades of experience were fantastic instructors/guides. Went to a variety of locations based on conditions. Even a shuttle pick up and drop off from Malaga Airport is included! Excellent prices and accommodations are included as part of the course. Just a 10 minute walk to town for restaurants and groceries. Hope to be back again FlySpain!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ FlySpain BHPA CP Course Review I completed my BHPA CP Paragliding course with FlySpain and couldn’t recommend them more highly. Instructors Fred and Rob were exceptional throughout. They struck a great balance between structure and flexibility, keeping safety at the core while adapting to each pilot’s level and confidence. Their pragmatic approach stood out. Those of us with a bit more experience were encouraged to progress faster and try more challenging tasks, while others received the extra guidance and coaching they needed. It created a supportive atmosphere where everyone could develop at their own pace without pressure or delay. The week was well organised, the equipment was in top condition, and the site offered a perfect range of conditions for learning. By the end, I felt genuinely confident flying independently, something that’s a credit to how Fred and Rob teach. If you’re considering learning to paraglide or completing your CP, FlySpain is a superb choice.

Rob, Dylan, Fred, Marcello, and Paolo are incredible instructors — professional, patient, and fully committed to helping every student get the best out of the course. The safety standards are top-tier, and it’s clear how much time and effort goes into every aspect of the training. Great accommodation and a friendly, supportive community made it an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend.

The instruction with Tony, Julio and Paulo over the two courses EP/CP was outstanding. Accommodation offers a choice of rooms and cooking facilities with a small pool close to town. Great team, efficient and your safety is paramount to them. Looking forward to returning for my MP!

I did the EP course here in late September/early October. The course and instructors were great and the accommodation was very pleasant to stay in. I would happily come here again for further training! It was also very enjoyable and informative being able to socialise with other paragliders who were staying in the same accommodation but doing different training.

This is my second time coming to Algodonales to do a course with FlySpain. I was on the Mentor Plus with Paolo and Dylan. I really enjoyed my time, despite being a group with varying airtime and experience the instructors made sure they catered to everyone’s abilities. Dylan and Paolo are very safety conscious, knowledgeable, patient and friendly. I got a lot out of the week and was able to be pushed of my comfort zone because I felt so safe and seen (they always had eyes on us and were on the radio whenever it was needed). The instructors were open to my many questions and always had answers and ways to explain things so I could understand. My highlight was having my first thermalling flights! For a travelling dirt bag like myself the price is at my limit of my budget, but I believe it is worth it for the quality of the course, instructors and accomodation. The whole team is amazing. I would recommend this school to my friends and hope to be back again one day. Much love, thanks team!

My son and I have just returned from two weeks with FlySpain in Algodonales doing back to back EP and CP courses and to sum everything up in two words: SIMPLY FANTASTIC. We could not have asked for more. Our instructors, Marcelo, Julio, Fred & Dylan overseen by Rob, were all absolutely top draw. We could not have wanted for a more comprehensive, safe, teaching environment with great kit and weather. Nothing was too much trouble and every effort was made to create and enjoyable balance of theory and flying, resulting in some epic soaring flights, including nearly two hours at sunset over El Bosque. To cap things off, we stayed in FlySpain’s accommodation “The Eagle’s nest”, a very comfortable cluster of houses equipped with all mod cons, with outside terraces and pool, five minutes walk from the centre of Algo’ and its cafes and bars. Finally, a shout out to Nic, who clearly works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the show on the road and makes all of the organisation seem effortless. Truly an exceptional experience and thank you FlySpain for the life changing memories! I cannot recommend them enough.

Excellent experience. David and his team are very professional and I felt looked after and safe all the time. A big effort is made to take photos and videos of the flight without having to worry about getting your phone out and dropping it. I will treasure them and the memories forever. thanks.

Mine and my partner's first time paragliding and it was a brilliant experience. David was fantastic, friendly and informative. We couldn't recommend this experience or him enough! The views and the feeling of flying in the air with the vultures was amazing. Not to be missed, especially if you're in the area!

My girlfriend and I were staying in Algodonales for the MotoGP race in Jerez. Our AirBnB host recommended David for a parapenting experience and we took her advice and are very happy we did so. David is extremely experienced and qualified and all the equipment was in perfect conditions. We both had extremely safe flights and the view from the sky of the reservoir is incredible. 100% recommended if you are up for a nice experience.

Excellent paragliding school! They have three different takeoff and landing sites, so you can adapt to the weather and fly often. The instructors are very attentive and student-focused, and the group is full of interesting people. The equipment is in great condition, and the theory lessons are well-structured with clear video materials. Daily briefings in the morning and after each flight help you progress quickly. Highly recommended!

My second time with the Zero Gravity guys and I honestly can't recommend them enough. I did my club pilot training in the UK and signed up to the coaching courses with ZG. The training for all levels is very high quality (better than I had in the UK in my opinion). They are also very nice people to spend the week with. Thank you Luisma, Ivan, Jorge and Jose! I'll be coming back for more when I can, see you again soon.

If I could have given 6 stars, I would. I have no doubt that learning to paraglide with Zero Gravity has been one of the best experiences of my life. I was apprehensive at first - heights make me very uncomfortable. I booked the combined EP + CP course as a personal challenge, to overcome fear and to experience flight. The instructors Luisma, Ivan, Jorge and José are the pinnacle of professionalism, patient but firm, with excellent English and tons of passion, and built up my confidence through a multifaceted curriculum of theory, ground handling, tandem and solo flying until I was soaring and relaxed in the sky! They are all extraordinary pilots, have vast local expertise about terrain and weather, and are meticulously safety-aware, including a healthy mistrust of other pilots outside of the school. If the conditions and situation were not perfect for learning, we did not fly - and this was exactly what I wanted as a timid beginner, and this bolstered my confidence when it was time for me to launch. We were almost always the first to each launch site too - completing our first flights of the day before the other schools arrived. Algodonales is a beautiful little pueblo blanco nestled in a valley with stunning scenery all around - dramatic hills with geologic formations, rolling farmland, lakes Moorish castles. The visibility was amazing.  We did the course in February 2024 and the weather was generally great, with a few days of rain which kept the vegetation lush and green. Apparently Algodonales gives you more flyable days of the year than anywhere else in the world, because you need a launch site for every possible wind direction. On days when we couldn't fly, the instructors were kind enough to take us to nearby attractions like Cueva de la Pileta, where we saw twenty thousand year old cave paintings and incredible stalactites. Out of pure luck, the Carnival took place on the middle Saturday of our course, where the whole town comes out in fancy dress and dances to music on floats pulled by local tractors! They burned an effigy by the church on the Sunday. The food in Algodonales is very tasty and very cheap if you're coming from London. All across the town there are natural mineral water springs which you can drink from freely. We went on runs in the evenings and hikes up the neighbouring mountains and spent some time in Ronda - Algodonales would have been a nice holiday even if we weren't learning to fly! By the end of the two weeks, I had 19 flights under my belt (4 in tandem), at 5 different sites. I had seen a 70 year old student fly happily. And most importantly, I knew that I had taken a profound, courageous, and memorable step towards living the life I had always dreamed of: as a paragliding club pilot, adventuring through the atmosphere in zero gravity. I will be back as soon as I can to do a Low Air Time Pilot guided tour.

Another superb week with Jose and the team at Zero Gravity. We were 5 Irish pilots and it was great to receive personal advice and support from Jose, Giorgio and the team. Brilliant theory lectures with excellent slides. Also, great ground-air coaching from Jose who was watching me flying and he directed me into the thermals. I'm nearly 75 years old and when we went to El Bosque, I was too tired and hot to carry my wing and harness and Jose himself carried my harness up the 20-minute steep climb to take-off. I flew for nearly 1.5 hours that afternoon! We shall return!

I flew with the guys in September 2023 and have nothing but positive to share about the XC camp. Everything was organized professionally, including detailed morning briefings, logistics, and flights. Jose is good as an instructor and as a person. It was a pleasure to deal with him and Zero Gravity. I had tons of fun and will definitely come again.

I did a one week flying holiday with Zero gravity and it was awesome. We flew every day and several different sites. Great conditions and good staff. Our guide Jorge was a very good guide and a great person. Full of interesting stories and advice. It was a top notch experience and I am looking forward to my next Zero Gravity adventure.

Only recently reopened, and what a great addition to The Plaza. Food is great quality and fairly priced. The waitresses are really friendly and so tolerant if your Spanish isn't great! Tapas, 1/2 and Racion portions mean you can eat as little or as much as you like. Lovely place!

Tops for service quality of food and portion size. I send all our clients here. It's one of the best bars by far in the village square. Tip. just order a couple of tapes first as the portions are pretty generous here. If you're ravenous order a full portion.

Very good food. Local Spanish restaurant. One of the best paella I had had. Good to have a reservation over the weekend.

Good for breakfast with seats on the plaza. Vibrant and busy at night. Popular with the locals. Very helpful staff. They even went out of their way to get condensed milk for my café bonbon! Good sized Spanish breakfast foods but they also do an "English breakfast" if that's your thing.

We liked the pork with pepper sauce and the pork cheek stew. Great, friendly service.

Good food and service at a great price. The goats cheese salad and the pork with caramelised onion are popular dishes. It gets busy so the local tip is to arrive by around 7.

We enjoyed a delicious grilled white fish with fries and fresh salad. The service was incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s great to note that the restaurant offers options for vegans and those with gluten-free needs. The food was amazing, and the prices were very good for the quality provided. Definitely a place worth returning to!

We were originally going to order two different main dishes of pork, but the owner came out to tell us they were sold out of the one… but to componsate, she added the famous sauce from the one that was sold out to the one they still had. She also suggested a few different things to try, so we got more food and flavor for our money. We were in heaven! The food was SO good and flavorful, super nice and efficient staff and reasonable prices. Definitely going back!

Wow! Love this place! The staff is super kind and were patient with our beginner level of Spanish, they even offered to translate if needed. Every dish was delicious! They were very busy, yet we never felt ignored or rushed. We plan on returning again many more times during our stay in Algodonales:)
