This was the highlight of our week long trip around Ireland. The most relaxing, unique experience in a time capsule. The reception also gives history about the building and the tubs. I cannot recommend this experience enough, I already want to take another seaweed bath!
What an absolute treat, I feel like a refreshed young Victorian man. I was entering the unexpected other than rave reviews of what the seaweed can do for you. The steam cupboard was a great addition. I look forward to returning soon.
What a unique experience! I think I would enjoy this place on both a rainy or sunny day (we just so happened to be in Ireland on the streak of sunny days!!) while I think we could have just walked in, we did call ahead of time to book a room for two + the steamer. My only mistake was not asking for a room with a window to the outside where the sun and fresh air could flow through. Our room did have a window, just led to another part of the inner building… as far as the bath itself, I really enjoyed spending time with my husband chatting away about other plans while we soaked in the warm water. You may need to turn the hot water on from time to time to warm it up a bit though. I did not know they offered massages as well!! Next time I will be sure to book this along with our bath. :) Make sure to pick up a box for an at home seaweed bath on your way out for yourself or as a gift. Thanks you for a wonderful experience!!
Great experience for 55€, for two people for an hour in July 2025. Two seaweed baths and a steam tub, including towels. Lovely staff, who were happy to answer all our questions. Thanks
This place is an amazing gem of a spot, takes you back in time with the Victorian vibe, also the water and steam are hot with the sea water being the perfect mix of relaxation and relief. 1000/10 wish I could could give more stars. The lads who worked there were wonderful to boot.
Had a 1 hour massage with a lovely lady called Tanya. She is very good at what she does, I was relaxed throughout, Tanya would communicate during the massage to make sure I was comfortable, I feel refreshed and rejuvenated. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out they offered massages and will definitely return for another.
Charming staff. A throwback Victorian experience. Unique. Restful and healthful. I wish it were striking distance from where I lived!
We absolutely loved it here. The vintage and old-fashioned style to this longstanding bathhouse is still in tact, which really makes you feel like you've stepped into an exciting time machine that is specifically designed to pamper you. Pricewise, I really feel like it's a bargain. Genuinely half the price of other seaweed bath places with twice as much character.

It was nice the pool was clean and the slide was fantastic definitely going again
Very good place located bit like at the end of housing estate. Plenty of FREE parking (GOOD LUCK RIP OF CAPITOL) for Family of 5 we paid like €35 quid. Extremely helpful staff, facilities were good and clean, however few changing units had broken knob. Locker's are nice and spacious and I would advice to have €1 coin with you. We have visited on the 30.10.2022. I found that the water was bit too cold even in the baby area. There are few vending machines with usual options. No hairdryer s, but if you bring your own there are sockets in the reception area that you can use.
Visited Waterpoint today with my wife and 2 kids. While the kids enjoyed the pool and slide the place needs some serious attention. Looks derelict like from the outside. Had to try about 8 lockers before got 1 that worked. Holes all over the ceilings of changing areas and showers not working.Pool was freezing cold and lots people in the pool with no swim caps which I taught was basic hygiene at this day and age. Staff very unhelpful
As recommended, I rang in advance to book a slot-name taken and how many were coming but no money over the phone. My children aged 3 and 5 loved here and the pirate ship and slide in the toddler area. They didn't pay €10 in for an adult or €7 per child. €3 for under 3s. €2 each for swimming caps. They didn't notice the significant patches of paint peeling off the reception area to your right as you walk in the main entrance. They didn't notice the uncleanliness of the changing areas. They didn't struggle to get a locker that worked. They were not perturbed that there was no hairdryers to dry your hair after the swimming pool before going back out in the elements. They just had fun and I'm really glad. This place needs serious investment and money spent on it. I will return once this occurs.
Very poor. Had travelled to Enniscrone for a holiday with our toddler who loves swimming. Had emailed Waterpoint 2 days prior to arriving to check opening times. Staff informed us to come at 10:30. Upon arrival with one very excited toddler we were informed it was closed to public until 12. Needless to say, I had to deal with a disappointed and crying toddler for 30 minutes. Poor all round
Good points: warm pool and bubbly jacuzzi. Cold bucket of water cools you down real quickly when you tug the rope. Nice steam room and sauna. Separate kids paddling pool. The gym area is available. Great ample parking beside a playground, not too far from Enniscrone Beach. Drinks, snacks, and some swimming accessories available to buy, with a nice reception area to sit down in. It is advisable to call ahead and a book time slot during kid's holidays as the place packs up. Bad points (sadly): Pool is on the small side and is not deep. During our visit, there was no lifeguard attending the fun tube slide. The green and red stop and go lights were not engaged either. This meant users could have easily crashed into each other. One toilet was very loose and super wobbly to sit on. Attention needed there. Lockers are available, but too many have broken and rusty locks. I found one that worked for an extra euro. In exchange, I got a battered key and had to use a hair tie around it to keep it on me. I didn't like the mixed gender changing room with showers, but at least I got a cubicle with a lock to change in. The place is OK, but it needs upgrading and attention from staff.
I recently visited Waterpoint in Enniscrone and was saddened by the state of the facility. I used the gym, sauna, steam room, changing cubicles, and showers. While the gym was in decent shape and the sauna was very hot, the overall condition of the place left a lot to be desired. There were only a handful of people in the entire building, and the atmosphere felt run-down and neglected. Several changing cubicles had missing doors, there was a noticeable smell of urine, and overall cleanliness and upkeep were poor. These aren’t just cosmetic issues—they raise health and safety concerns. As someone who used to come here as a child, it’s disheartening to see such a once-valued community facility fall into this state. Waterpoint has so much potential but clearly needs urgent renovation and investment to bring it back to standard
Expensive and could do with a freshen up. Short swimming pool. It’s more of a playground with water. Limited time for options of facilities. Friendly staff.

Fantastic instructor !! Family run business and great with kids. Father / 2 son combo and had a great time. Great to be out on the water and learn, and extra nice to have a coffee shop literally next door to warm up after :) also great location next to bathrooms for changing and washing off ! Thanks for the great afternoon!
The week was a lot of fun. The friendly teachers managed to teach surfing in 5 days. There was also theoretical lessons so that you know what else to look at. Overall a very good experience and I look forward to continuing to use my surf knowledge
Lovely people, very competent instructors, all the equipment one needs, conveniently located on the beach. Super practical next to a café, parking, showers, washrooms etc. I highly recommend it and will be back!
My kids have been doing surf camps in Enniscrone with 7th Wave for many years now. We keep returning every summer as the kids love the camps and they are so much fun. The staff are excellent and very friendly too. Highly recommend.
My children look forward to the 7th wave summer camp every year. The instructors are great and I would highly recommend booking this summer camp. See you all next year guys! A-M
We had a brilliant time surfing with 7th Wave Surf School, the organisation, equipment and instructor were all first class. The beach is also stunning. If you fancy spending a couple of hours in the Atlantic learning to surf surrounded by fabulous scenery I highly recommend!
We had a great time with 7th wave, our instructor Paul was sound and good craic plus a great teacher. The beginners in our group were flying by the end of the session. Their dog is also delightful. Definitely would recommend!
Had my first ever surf lesson here today with a 4 other people and Heather as our teacher. She was excellent and provided superb instruction on the beach and in the water. I was delighted to be catching waves right away. Gear provided was great quality and suited me well. No complains and would def go back to rent gear to see if its something that I want to take up long term.

Mikee and Mia run a fantastic service in Enniscrone. My wife and I were complete beginners in Stand Up Paddleboarding but after only a few minutes being taught by the fantastic Mia, we were standing and zipping across from the pier to the beach. There were very reasonable rates, great attitudes and Mikee was also very kind as to also take some great pictures of us and send them on afterwards. If you're near Enniscrone you have to take a trip out to Harbour SUP and have a bit of craic
What a fantastic host and teacher. I got stood up with confidence with Mikee and our 9 year old son had a great time. Highly recommended by us all.
An amazing experience, and I'll be back! Took part in a SUP and sip session (sssss) at Enniscrone beach and it was fab. The setting is so beautiful. Great instructors and all the gear ready to go. We were kitted out and given a clear run down of how things go. Great support out on the water too. During the session we were able to come off the water and make use of a sauna, yes, you heard me right! A sauna! Toasty! And then the BBQ was fired up. Drinks were flowing and sausages were nom-ed. This is a great team that know how to help you have a great experience. To top the evening off we got to head out onto the water when darkness settled and the full moon came out. We were adorned with glow sticks! There is something truly magical about being out on the water with the stars and moon in the sky. This is certainly one amazing away to experience Sligo! Go on, treat yourself. (Yep, I love the water!).
Great location to Sup in the wonderful seaside town of Enniscrone Co Sligo. Great staff and mentors, who are very friendly and good fun! Highly recommend! 👍🏄
Cheaper than other SUP boarding we've seen. Good instructors. Really enjoyed it. An hour and a half in the harbour, good for beginners with calm water location
Thanks Mikee for a great experience. A great activity for a family group!
Mikey was friendly and helpful with great knowledge and tips to using the stand up paddle board. i found it far different to what i was used to (kayaking), but still very easy to get used to. It is a fun and very enjoyable activity for anyone and i will definitely be recommending it .
Brilliant waterside activity and great instructors. Great for students, families, school groups or individuals. Get a nice calm day for it and it's perfect. A must do if you're in Enniscrone 👍

Overall a very enjoyable experience! We initially chose this company because they allowed parents & kids in the same group (the other local school was kids only). The equipment was all top quality brands and appeared new. Wetsuits/booties/gloves supplied. Very friendly and personable staff. Owners Martha and Shane were very helpful. Accommodated our changing schedule each day. Coaches Dave and Cormac were fun and excellent teachers. Kids (12 and 10) came out of the water smiling each day and were eager to get back. By the end of the week, each was easily able to get up on the board themselves and “ride the waves” all the way in.
Excellent family run surf school, always had a very positive experience with the owners Shane and Martha, and the children always love attending the lessons. Great value for money , would thoroughly recommend
Super convenient. Good prices. Wetsuits kept us very comfortable in cool water. Instructor was good and encouraging, had us standing within 30 minutes. Never surfed before, want to do it again.
Owner is a right legend! Very knowledgable surfer and genuinely passionate about sharing his skills and uplifting enthusiasm with all. Goes out of his way to ensure that everyone he interacts with are properly equipped and set for a great day. You’re in very safe hands with NW surf school, can’t recommend enough. Cheers mate!
My two children (12yrs and 15yrs) have just had a week's surf camp with North West Surf School and had a really brilliant time. Good quality wetsuits and equipment. On days where waves were small they used giant paddle board which my 2 loved. They were both standing surfing by the end of the week. I would definitely recommend. Shout out to Dave who was their instructor for the week. The kids thought he was great!
North West Surf school offer a locally run professional fun and friendly introduction to surfing for all levels from 10 years upwards .We have surfed with them many times over the years and also reccommended friends to to the same .They have a great range of equipment and and warm friendly instructors who both teach you to surf n keep you smiling during the session . Board and suit hire is also available for persons who have completed basic training . NW surf school offer summer camps throughout July and August highly recommended
Myself and my partner had a fantastic time doing the two-hour surf lesson, the instructor was great and both myself and my partner were able to stand a few times by the end of the lesson. Shane and Martha are both incredibly lovely people and even offered to go out of their way to give us a lift. Would 100% recommend booking in for a lesson if you are in the area!
I've went for 2 lessons so far with North West Surf School, I went on my own and I was made feel very welcome, from the time I made the appointment with Martha, it has been a great experience. Shane instructed me the first time and Aaron instructed me the second time. Everyone is very friendly and professional, there equipment is excellent, they have 5mm thick wetsuits and shoes so I never felt cold at any point. I'm 50 plus a small bit of vat so if anyone reading this is thinking of doing it , go for it 😊
