Stopped in the van overnight opposite , we took the dogs for a walk the views are amazing, well worth a visit , as it was the largest copper mine in the world
Really good for a couple of hours not sure it would take any longer to go around cost £5.50p per adult they do have a small lift for disabled people staff very friendly and polite wouldn't hesitate to recommend for a couple of hours
Nice port, Pub and fish'n'chip shop. There's a small museum with an expensive £7.50 entrance fee! That's about it! Nothing to fill a day, but worth a look.
We came upon this by chance so only had time for a quick walk upto the old windmill (pictured). I'd love to go back though as it was quite an extensive site with a heritage centre on it for information. The views were stunning.
Fascinating and beautiful place to visit. Quarried grounds exposes stunning colours of rock, smattered with heather and other plants.
Fantastic place to visit very polite staff good set up very interesting about the history and reasonable prices also dog friendly. Totally recommend if visiting the village.
We did the coast line walk, the scenery was beautiful.
Good place to go if it wet, not much there but we did have a lovely walk around the cliff tops.

Incredible place. Other worldly. Beautiful colours. Unfortunately it was extremely windy and chucking down when we visited, otherwise I would have sat for ages.
Nice easy 3.5 km walk. Some great views. Free parking. Also an app to help you navigate your way around. There’s some cafes just down the roads, couple of minutes to get to.
We've visited twice now and done clockwise and anticlockwise from the free car park. Don't go on a windy day as its high up and will blast you. The views change on a cloudy day as all the colours of the .mountain changes when the sun hits it. Dr Who and House of Dragons were filmed here. There's a sense of peace up here that's mesmerising.
Easy and pleasant walk around the old copper mine, filled with a wide array of incredible colours and great views over towards the coast and inland. Definitely worth a short stop to explore.
Great area for walking. Changes in landscape are amazing to see. Great area for walking dogs
Interesting place for a walk. Vivid rock colours and great piece of history.
Great walk, so many colours in the landscape! Parking is free
Copper Kingdom (Parys Mountain) is an excellent place to visit for everyone. We went with two young children and my adult son (plus small dog). Very interesting and visually rich experience.

I'm not from this area, but found visiting this cafe really special. Having had a long walk to get there, I was looking forward to an icecream. The staff were so kind and friendly, they even gave my very hot dog a tub of ice cream. . .which they held for him so he could fully enjoy his treat. I was also shown the outside tap so I could get water for my dog. 🐕 THANK YOU for being so lovely!!
A gem of a cafe. Wonderful staff offering a warm welcome and there is an extensive menu. Just right after a long walk.
Excellent beverages and selection of sandwiches, all thoughtfully package for ease of eating or taking away. Staff were helpful and very Covid aware. Lovely decoration on one wall showing the port. Visited on a wet day but plenty of appropriate spaced seating and must be fabulous outside on a sunny day, again plenty of places to sit. Highly recommend a visit.
Warm welcome on entry, friendly and helpful staff. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. The food came out quick, they forgot a side of chips with our food but came out a bit later and gave us the side of chips for free. Great customer service! Lovely sea views and great location for walks.
Very disappointing, extremely limited offering, we had to settle for tea and coffee. The coffee was poor, the tea came in a dirty cup with what appeared to be lip stains on the rim. The milk jug had dirt on the rim and had obviously been refilled without being properly washed. Both teaspoons were severely tea stained and had not been cleaned for a long time. Bearing in mind the current situation with covid, extra care should be taken by anyone serving food and drink to the public, a lesson needs to be learned by this establishment. Also the prices were very much inflated.
Great coffee and bacon butties are spot on. Service brilliant and sweet atmosphere.
the most friendly, most wecoming staff you can find, they cant do enough for you.lovley fresh home made food and amazing scones straight from the oven.highley recomended.
Just had coffee and cake here but it was a delicious cake and nice coffee, plenty of room and choice of sofas or tables.

Such a beautiful place and great to get away from the all the stress we all now live with.
Great place only stopped for a while walked from sand dunes near aberfaw to the church on the island then back to the van had a lovely walk along the sand to the village
Outstanding natural beauty. Please respect the area, take your litter home, pick up and bin your dog poo and stop having bbqs/fires everywhere.
I walked around a bit and visited the grounds of the fort while waiting for a ferry. It's an interesting place for a quick visit, but i wouldn't go out of my way to see it.
One of the best walks we've had visiting north wales. Our 5 year old daughter enjoyed this trail. We did not have a car thus we have to take the coastal path from the city centre, then found our way to ascend to the mountain navigating through the sign posts. There are parking spaces for those who have cars and get to the south stack light house. But we had to ascend and descend to the holy head mountain by foot. Nearest bus stop maybe around 1hr walk.
You could never get enough of being on the trail surrounded by such landscapes. If you think the island is small, remember that here you have a 200 km long coastal trail. Great views from the cliffs, great places to observe rare species of birds and most of all, silence! All this, away from the hustle and bustle of cities and streets.
A beautiful area just on the outskirts of Holyhead. Walks in woodland flanked by beautiful beaches with pretty views. Dog walkers welcomed. Toilet free, free parking, cafe as you leave/enter.
Very beautiful island. I really enjoyed there.

We’re loving this place, wonderfully wheelchair accessible, great people. We’re staying in the top floor, and it has large, open rooms, big living room and even bigger kitchen. We’ll be going to eat pancakes soon too!
Very long wait - busy day admittedly but it was well over an hour. Thank goodness for the small softplay area.

Popped in for a drink. Friendly and efficient Bar staff. Great Juke box. Sky sports on a huge screen. Very reasonably priced drinks. It was a Monday so fairly quiet. Recommended.
nice pint, good prices looks like its been refurnished & has a really good atmosphere. staff was friendly enough.
A friendly pub with great bar staff. Perfect for watching the Live football on weekends and midweek. It had a great atmosphere too and optional quiet back rooms away from the larger groups if needed. An archway also runs through to a side garden area that’s perfect for a drink and fresh air.
Great staff, really nice establishment, good beer garden, family friendly, dog friendly, good pricing on drinks, nice atmosphere especially on the weekends, often live music or karaoke on the weekends, they have a Facebook page where events are advertised too so worth checking out
Great pub in Amwlch, there was 20 of us at the pub and Dylan behind the bar , made us all feel very welcome. Good prices for drinks and people in the pub friendly and were good to talk to. Thanks Dylan for a really good afternoon.
Great little pub, which pulled out the stops to put together some very tasty sandwiches, even though the village was basically closed for half day trading. Very helpful owner. Needs some attention and is a work in progress..... But they are certainly trying hard, and will no doubt achieve. 😎
Great little pub. Quiet when I went for a pint but service was superb and pint excellent. It would be good for more people to enjoy this little harbour side pub
Good night out with my son . It's my local ,proper pub , Andy the landlord offered free jukebox and gave us a generous amount of tokens for free pool .Being Man City fans we could even take the mickey out of Andy cos he follows Utd. Live footy also on a large screen .

One amazing church buildings I have ever seen. Over 50 years since I last visited. I just hope they can get the repairs done to the building and utilise it to the Glory of God again.
Looked great through the window when we visited but sadly the Xmas carol service was held in the basement hall as there was an issue with the main steps (I think). Anyway, this a unique church with a great story... worth checking out if you like churches or are a practising Catholic in need of a spiritual home!
Very unusual roof style design on a lively church
This is a lovely Catholic church. The sound generated within it is awesome. The community are very friendly,as are the priests. As far as I am aware, there is no disabled access though. The priests do a rota as there aren't enough of them to go around, unfortunately, so there are occasions when mass is replaced by a Eucharistic service
Love it! Bonkers design; one of the most unusual churches I've seen.
This unusually (upturned boat) shape was part of my childhood and really is worth a visit. The cobalt glass used to encircle the large star in blue has a history of its own - the shortage of such blue glass in the 1930s meant that the glass from old blue bottles of 'Milk of Magnesia' were used to make-up the shortfall. Not many people know that!
Our Lady Star of the Sea and St Winefride, Amlwch is the Catholic church in Amlwch. Built in the 1930s and designed by Italian architect, Giuseppe Rinvolucri. Interestingly, the church is in the shape of an upturned boat, to reflect Amlwch's long-standing maritime heritage. So while it a relatively modern building by church standards, it’s an unusual looking building. Well worth a visit.
We shared the Ecumenical Service a week last Sunday. Amazing church. Fantastic singing. Friendly parishioners. We felt truly welcome. Thank you.

Great local leisure centre. Friendly staff and users. Not normally too busy outside 5 to 7. Good gym set up. 4 separate rooms. Better equipment choices than most commercial gyms. Good price on monthly access.
Lovely experience from my initial visit to check out the disabled facilities in the pool to my swim visit yesterday. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, I can't rate them highly enough. If you are a disabled person thinking about visiting Amlwch leisure centre I would say definitely go for it, the extra bonus was the pool was warm as was the disabled changing room, clean too!
I joined 2 weeks ago to attend the classes as this is what I prefer to do. So far I have attended a dance class for over 60s and an easy circuit class both where ok but not challenging enough for me. I then tried a step class and was the only one there. Still did the class and enjoyed it and did kettle bells and Pilates which were both really good. The problem I have is for the last 2 Fridays I have turned up for boxercise to be told the instructor has cancelled at 4 o clock !! I feel that there is not enough classes on during the day suitable for people who are fit enough to do something more challenging. I pay for full package as the classes I want are in the evening if the instructor turns up and I'm not getting value for money. I am retired and ideally would prefer something during the day.
Held a kid's party in tge sports hall. Bouncy castle. Soft play. Lots of space for sitting and table and chairs laid out for kids. Highly recommended
The Gym, 2 x separate weight rooms & boxing area are all FAB!! Could do with water fountains in all workout rooms. However! 99.9% of equipment you could ever need! Pool is full length & could do with a good clean. Female changing rooms are in need of a refurb but it's not busy so I imagine that's why it hasnt been done... even so I like it bc its so quiet! Staff are all pleasant, helpful & friendly & no queues for machines. 5* for staff 4* for Gym/Pool 2* for changing room
Aww, a brilliant place to go to. I've been going there now 2-3 years .love all the staff they will help you in anyway they can always a smile on each and everyone of them .
Amlwch leisure centre has a fully equipped gym and weights room. Activities throughout the summer for children, and a well maintained pool. It has outside tennis courts, and indoor squash courts.it facilitates birthday parties, pool parties for children and much more.
Great place to go. Rich who runs the NERs (national exercise referral scheme) is a legend. Always there to help and goes the extra mile. I'm thankful to him as I've got my passion for exercise back. The only downside is the changing rooms are quite dated. There's been a leak in the men's changing room toilets for months and nothing has been done. There's no bins in the changing room either. The showers are public with no cubicles.. not everyone wants to be on show. There's no water refills in the gym either! They used to have a spin bike in the fitness room but all of a sudden it disappeared
