Beautiful place. The hut offers fresh food and drinks. There is a availability for 20 people to sleep there. The road up there is narrow but manageable. No special equipment required (if the weather is nice )
Amazing place! The road to get her isn't the easiest one but it's beautiful. Easy to park and you can easily spend a few hours there. Lot of locals selling souvenirs and food.
Beautiful location. Lives up to the name wonderful bridges! Easy parking, nice little stalls to visit.
Well worth the visit, very majestic and beautiful!
Amazing formations, something one can barely imagine, how it even happened. Definitely worth the trip up the mountain. Also a beautiful view over the mountains. Would for sure go back again and do one of the hiking trails. Bulgarian nature just never disappoints!
Wonderful place! In my opinion, one of the best nature’s site in Bulgaria. We spent here more than one hour and it was great. The only not pleasant thing here is the road leading to this place, which is really horrible. You should drive very carefully and beware of potholes. But in general, it worth to get here despite the bad road, because it is very beautiful here.
Incredible place to see nature at work, but a terrible journey to get there with a car. The road is very bad and I suggest you take very slow very early in the morning to avoid the traffic and crowds. There's a nice place to sit down and relax and a zip line that goes right through the attraction.
Nice place to spend a hour Your attention that the last 7 km of the roads to the entrance are mostly broken, thus your average speed is 20 kmh. Except of this, the site is really nice, easy walking, you can go down under the "bridges" or climb above them - both options will bring you excellent photos.

From the paid parking to the Orpheus waterfall is about 4 km. There are Jeep tours from the parking lot to the beginning of the trail and information center for about 20 bgn, and will save you like 1 km of walking. There are toilets at the information center. The entrance fee is 8 bgn per adult.
Nice, but White River ecotrail was much nicer. The trail is covered with rocks and roots. Sadly there wasn't a lot of water. Maybe there. There wasn't a lot of snow in the area, or it melted too long ago. Note that it's recommended to park in small parking lot on the left before turning right (from Smolyan) to the dirt road that leads to the trailhead. The access road is in terrible condition. Don't destroy your car.
There is a long unpaved road till you arrive to the infomatin center, and starts the real trail. You can go 3/4 of that road with any car, till you meet an old shade before a sharp curve. Park there, since from this point the road becomes rocky and bouncy. The trail itself is beautiful, in the forerst along water stream, wooden bridges, and small watef falls.
Really beautifull place to visit! We did it in the beggining of June and the waterfalls were just amazing!
Very nice trail, perfect for hot summer days. The path is well marked, the bridges were newly repaired or replaced. There is a 5 lev fee/adult and you can buy homemade lemonade and some grilled meat from the people maintaining the trails. It was a nice way to spend the afternoon.
8BGN per person. From the free parking on the roadside to the Information Center, it is 2km. From the Information Center to the Canyin of the Waterfalks, it is 3km. So it will take 10km two-way on foot which is more than 2 and half hours.
Really refreshing track, that includes a lot of small bridges over waterfalls and some wooden stares here and there. We’ve spend about an hour and a half slow pacing to the main waterfall. The nature around was beautiful, with trail along the river. Pay attention that road to first point before entrance is bumpy and not suitable for low cars. There is some sort of parking before. In addition, from first point to actual track entrance you need to walk about 500 meters. But there are jeeps waiting to take you there for 20 lev and this is experience by itself. Because you drive on real off-road road and we did it in very old UAZ jeep!
Beautiful walk. Takes a bit (maybe 30-40mins) to get from trail head off the road to walk to the beginning of trail where the information center is. We took our time walked up about 2 hours, saw some beautiful waterfalls along the way, but then turned around before getting to the canyon portion as I have my son w/ Autism with me and the rain was coming in. May try it another time.

I recently visited a new church, and it left a huge impression on me! The building looks stunning and modern, with unique architecture that catches the eye. Inside, there’s a cozy and pleasant atmosphere that invites reflection and prayer. I’m really glad I had the chance to see such a wonderful church. Highly recommend a visit!
Too new to have the nostalgia of a church. Very nice building though. They are still working on the inside.
Modern orthodox cathedral without any paintings on the dome or walls. To be honest I think is not worth the visit unless you pass by.
Beautiful place in smolin really love it here and inside, from California and it is astonishing
Good cathedral, but not Cristian. Ortodoxa...
Clean and religious environment. Host was welcoming and service was pleasant. Entry was free
A wonderfull Church to visit while in town of Smolyan. On the opposite side is the Planetarium which is also a worth to visit ( its closed for 2021 for reconstrutional works and renovation)
It looks really good from the outside, but I didn't have time to go inside

Has been on my to do list since forever - great place, great lecture by Nadya and we got to ask all the questions we had. It really gives me hope that there are still places like that in Bulgaria with dedicated people who are so committed to their science. The view is a killer and also not for people with fear of heights (I did manage some steps and a few photos).
The place is in desperate need of renovation and making new fun entertainments for kids and foreign tourists... nothing in the English language, even on the wall pictures, kids were so bored, nothing to catch their interest... just a girl that gave short lecture to the adults in Bulgarian language so our foreign friends were super bored too... night viewing is suspended too this season. we felt it was a wasted journey with a long drive .... Giving Only 1 stars for the view from the terrace ... We will never repeat our visit there again unless something drastically change ...
A lovely place to visit for anyone excited about astronomy or a fan of mountain views (as the observatory is on a high peak). The guide is usually a knowledgeable physicist capable of answering any and all questions related to the subject. The observatory is accessible for people with mobility issues excluding the observation deck at the top (it is too narrow). However, there is an elevator to the telescope itself.
Awesome observatory in the middle of the mountains. English speaking guide and tickets are 5 lev. The road to get there is interesting but not hard. Dogs are not allowed to enter the areal. Check their website as well, sometimes you can sing up for night tour where you can actually check the stars with the telescope in real time.
There is very interesting road to go there.. unbelievable forests and mountains.. definitely u have to be there.. there is stuff who help you with your questions about univers and the telescope.. u can make wonderful pictures from up..
A nice and interesting place, with a great view from the tower. There is a short lecture by one of the astronomers who work there (fee of 3 to 5 LV, depending on your age - if you are a student, retired etc). The road leading to the observatory is pretty bad, therefore one star less.
The entry to the telescope is by groups in certain hours so be sure to call in advance and ask. It was a great experience to see the big telescope and have the story of it explained. There are alot of meteorology instruments that you can see. They are a great joy for the children. You can even have a hike in tue nearby region. Also the panoramic view was amazing from the top of the telescope. The road is not that great, but a Prius has no issues going there if you are careful.
Love this place! A temple of science in which you can learn very interesting facts about astronomy or you can just go for a walk in the park with telescopes.

You will have to climb for about 40 minutes but the view from the top will worth the efforts. The fortress itself is long gone so don't get your expectations too high. However it's beautiful nature walk and as I said - the view is stunning
Amazingly beautiful experience ❤️ A must to visit!!!
Very well maintained place with spectacular view in all directions. I recommend you to walk the entire route, including the panoramic path (despite the large number of stairs) it worth it. There are places for relax with benches. Finally you may make a coin of the fortress by yourself - it's very interesting and also very good way to keep some material memory from this amazing place. I would visit it again!
Magnetic place. History and beauty of the Rhodopi mountain takes your breath away.
Not a lot of the actual fortress has survived, but the views are simply breath taking. We couldn't stay for the summer cinema, but do ask around - I bet it's worth it.
Spectacular views and probably thr highest outdoor cinema on the Balkans in the summer (usually every Saturday evening at 20:30 when the weather permits).
Quite a walk but worth it! Phenomenal views! You can make your own coin with a hammer!
A place with spectacular view. A visit to this place and you will leave with a respect for the Rhodope Mountains.
