A must visit if you are in the Boi Valley, st Climent remains as the main reference of the Romanic churches of this area. Free parking areas just outside, it can be visited for free on the outside and you'll need a ticket to enter.
Sant Climent is a really beautiful church and the staff there are wonderful. If you don't speak catalan or Spanish there are other people that speak French and English! Only problem is that you can't just go in when you're ant as there are screenings and tours done in catalan.
Definitely worth the entry price to see the spectacular video projection. You'll get to observe how the walls of the church looked when they were originally painted. I'd also strongly recommend coming at a time when a guided tour is available. The information they give is fascinating.
Looks beautiful, but we didn't get inside as it was closed.
amazing show and tell through video projections of the stunning gothic frescoes that used to adorn this church. highly recommended!
Simply stunning even if the original frescoes have ripped out and sent to museums
We arrived at 13:40, 20 minutes before closing time and were not allowed to enter.
Beautiful Romànic church in a village and with a bar very near. Easy parking.

An atmospheric church once one ventures beyond the pay counter. Interesting relics and the tallest of all the church bell towers in the valley. Well, worth a visit.
It was closed, so we were only able to see it from the outside. Unlike all the other chuches in Vall de Boí, the schedule of this church was not published anywhere and it doesn't say in the church either.
From the category oldest from Europe.. XVII century
A jewel of the story..
Tiny church and well preserved with a few wooden statues to replicate the originals.
(Translated by Google) An 11th-century Catholic church dedicated to Saint Eulalia. A beautiful six-story bell tower with friezes composed of a succession of arches and double windows on the four sides of each floor, except for the lower floor, which has a single window. On the north side, there is an atrium of large arches with three cylindrical columns and one with a square base. Inside, a replica of the depiction of the Descent of Christ stands out at the entrance to the apse. Great place to visit . There is a wall painting of 900 years ago! No entrance fee.
When you've got the Church of Sant Climent in the same village, it seems pointless to come here to see this one. However, there's one thing going for this place that no other Romanesque church in the valley has: IT'S FREE TO ENTER.
Pure expression of Romanesque style in a lively village square.
Unlike the other Roman churches in the area, this is totally free- and if you time it right, you can sit there and enjoy the paintings all by yourself, the church has a cavernous feel to it.
This church is one in the group of romanesque churches that are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site - El Romànic de la Vall de Boí. There are reproductions of the wall paintings of Epifanía.
The place was amazing, the food as well, but when you go up to the top where the bells are you can really feel the acrophobia 😬
Great representation of the interior and the story is amazing. You should try it.

Very interesting valley with pretty romanesque churches. They have an interpretation center in Santa Eulalia d'Erill la vall that helps understanding the outstanding importance of the place.
Beautiful scenery and architecture- the VR tour was an amazing experience
I arrived at the office 15 minutes before it closed for lunch. Three girls were smoking peacefully at the entrance. When I appeared, the cigarettes were put out and the girls took their places. When I asked about the possibility of visiting the exhibition located in the same office, they told me that they were closing. With all their behavior they made it clear to me that I was not welcome here. It’s a pity that the staff have an indifferent attitude towards visitors to this beautiful place.
Booked guided tours for a bigger group in the the Churches. Then they suddenly canceled our tour and suggested us a new date. We modified hotels and flight for it. Suddenly one day later they canceled the tour again with the reason "activities related to the commemoration of the 900th anniversary of the consecration of the Romanesque churches" Why they fix a date, cancel, then fix a new date, cancel again? Seems like a joke for visitors.
Awesome, the history in capital letters..

Sant Feliu, one of the group of romanesque churches that are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site - El romànic de la Vall de Boí. Excellent view from the tower bell
(Translated by Google) Sant Feliu de Barruera is the largest town in the valley. The church is possibly also the largest. Like the majority, it is separated from the urban center: a few meters but enough to allow you to see it without other constructions that make it ugly. The interior is basically bare stone. The roof is also stone. As a special thing of the church, the entrance is a kind of porch. However, it can't be said that it has anything else special either. If you're in the area, take advantage.
(Translated by Google) The Church of San Félix in Barruera is a historic gem not to be missed if you visit the area. Its Romanesque architecture is impressive and conveys an incredible peace that invites reflection. The surrounding natural environment further enhances its beauty, creating a perfect space to connect with the history and spirituality of the place. I loved the sense of tranquility as I walked through its centuries-old walls and admired the well-preserved details. It's also a key cultural landmark for understanding the richness of the Boí Valley. I recommend a visit at a leisurely pace to enjoy every corner and absorb its unique atmosphere.
(Translated by Google) The town doesn't have much charm, you have to pay to enter the church, it's not worth it, and the drinks are very expensive.
(Translated by Google) Very well preserved, it can be visited for €2 per person. The entire interior is very interesting. The climb to the bell tower is well worth it, as the views are fantastic. A curiosity of the area: the cemeteries in the areas surrounding the churches are preserved and used. I'm posting several photos and a video from the bell tower. Barruera is truly a very beautiful and well-preserved town.

Beautiful church with interesting history, a true Catalan gem. Entrance for 2€ (you can also buy a ticket for more churches in the area, I think five of them go for 7€). There are two parking areas near, even for RVs. Definitely recommend.
This church is one in the group of romanesque churches that are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site - El Romànic de la Vall de Boi. Others are: Santa Eulàlla d'Erill la Calle, Sant Climent de Taüll, Santa María de Taüll, Sant Feliu de Barruera, La Nativitat de Durro. Two churches are not accessible every day. Santa Maria de Cardet is opened every weekend in July and August. The church Assumpció de Cóll was not opened in 2019.
Excellent location to start our hiking in the beautiful Pyrenees.

I couldn't visit inside, but the gate and some ornements are worth are visit.
As too few visitors come here, they don't open it even though they are supposed to!
Beautiful church, beautiful views from the tower
(Translated by Google) Be careful because it is only open in July and August, only from 4pm to 8pm from Wednesday to Sunday. It is very beautiful, with some truly remarkable wooden statues. The lady at the entrance gave us a lot of interesting information, she was really very kind. It is advisable to visit all 8 churches in the valley, they are all very interesting (Original) Attenzione perché è aperta solo a luglio e agosto, solo dalle 16:00 alle 20:00 dal mercoledì alla domenica.
(Translated by Google) Unfortunately, we couldn't go inside. Small village church that has its charm. (Translated by Google) The Church of the Assumption of Cóll has its own characteristics that differentiate it from the other churches in the valley: the construction materials, the size of the ashlars or the decorative elements of the front, the most interesting part of the temple. The Chrismó and the capitals sculpted with representations of fights between men and animals are worth highlighting. As in other churches in the valley, guarding the entrance to the temple we find a wrought iron bolt of Romanesque type with the pin ending in an animal head. Inside the church, the three Romanesque fountains are still preserved: the baptismal font, the holy water font and the oil font. Open from Wednesday to Sunday, from July 9 to August 31 from 4 pm to 8 pm.
(Translated by Google) Great work of Lombard Romanesque. There is little left inside, but it is worth going in. It was the last of the churches in the valley that we had left to see.
