Unique to Sardinia, this early defensive fortification consists of a network of circular towers.
Slide 1 of 8
One of the most unique experiences that you can have on the island of Sardinia. The place can be only visited with a guide, but it will be well worth the visit. If you are visiting during the summer time, make sure that you will have some umbrella or some long sleeves so that you will be protected from the Sun. Sunscreen is definitely a must. The guide will explain the entire history and will give some interesting facts about the structures. Overall, this is definitely one of the must visit places on the island and with one ticket you get to visit two more places.
Beautiful important archaeological site. The tours are every 30 minutes and they last 1 hour. Tour is available in English too, price is decent and includes the museum in the village ahead of the site and other activities as well. Highly recommended.
UNESCO world heritage. Very interesting historical place to visit. Very good guided tour (eng) at this +1500 years old fortress. Be prepared for narrow and steep walkways within the structure.
Fascinating and a must-see site for all who love ancient history. Well-preserved Nuragic complex dating back over 3,500 years. The central tower (~ 18 meters high) and surrounding village give you a real sense of how advanced the Nuragic civilization was. Narrow passages, spiral staircases, and circular huts show how people lived many years ago. The guided tour was informative and brought the place to life. Included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Please check the time when excursions start to avoid long waiting (especially in English). Highly recommended
Interesting former fort. An archaeological experience although much reconstructed. Tour takes you up the remains and into the narrow tunnels. Inside isn't for information or claustrophobic! Fascinating site and location. Tours are required and run every half hour. Unesco interest.
The past can be touched and felt. Amazing piece of history. The tour guide was very kind and funny. No question left un answered. But note: The pathways inside the tower are really narrow and steep. Good footwear needed ...not for claustrophobic people or when afraid of hights.
It's a good experience since you learn a bit of the history of Nuragis, also the archeological site is quite impressive due to the rock sizes, however, it is a short visit, no museums or any other interactive experience that will explain or show more about the history of Nuragis besides what the guide explains. Short experience, it's worth to visit if you are driving through.
The archaeological site itself is truly impressive and well worth visiting; the problem lies with the tour guide. During the tour, you are required to follow the guide. However, perhaps because it was peak tourist season in August, the guide seemed more like a temporary employee. Her English was fluent, but somewhat unclear, as if she had simply memorized a script. She couldn't understand questions asked in English, and didn't seem to have a deep understanding of the site's history. Her presentation consisted of a few photocopied pictures, and with so many people spread out, it was difficult to hear her. Furthermore, she didn't allow enough time to properly explore and appreciate the site. Even worse, when we wanted to stop for a few minutes to observe and take photos, she rudely refused and abruptly closed the gate (there were no other groups, so there was no issue of overcrowding). She ignored our questions, even when we told her that another family from our group was still behind us, slowly walking along. She offered no response and showed no enthusiasm or passion for the culture. There were many tourists from various countries. It's fair to say that visiting guided tours is a bit of a gamble. During our travels in Sardinia, we visited countless sites and met many enthusiastic tour guides who were passionate about history and culture; we learned so much from them and left with a wealth of knowledge and wonderful memories. However, for this particular tour, had we not done some research beforehand, paying for the guided tour would have been a waste of money and we would have been disappointed.

Our visit was included in our ticket for Sunday Nuraxi. There was a warm welcome and interesting introduction. It was fascinating to see the remains of the Nuraghi settlement and especially interesting to see the archeological did in progress.
This museum is to be considered an extension of the Su Nuraxi Di Barumini cultural site. The entrance ticket to Nuraxi gives free access to the Casa Zapata (about 500 meters down the road towards Barumini). Casa Zapata is the house of the Spanish Zapata family who built their estate on top of a second Nuraghe site. You can walk through the estate, visit the on-site church and go inside the original house where you see the Nuraghe ruins. Nice to have this included, because I otherwise wouldn't have stopped here.
Came here after visiting Su Nuraxi (admission is included in the Su Nuraxi ticket). I do not speak Italian, so staff pointed in the direction of the most interesting exhibit, no guide for me. It was interesting enough wandering around for less than 30 minutes, the grounds are pretty and the main building is built over a nuraghe (there are glass floors and whatnot so you can see the foundation). All signs are in Italian, but they do have a video in English about making some musical instrument. Worth a quick visit since admission is included in the Su Nuraxi ticket.
Very great expedition with an actual active archeology side. You can watch the archaeologist dig / work. In numerous Displays you can see what they found so far.
Don’t miss this - it’s included with your ticket from Su Nuraxi and two minutes down the road. Superb exhibition with very knowledgeable multilingual staff.
This is a very nice little museum with very friendly staff. The view is nice.
Not that interesting if you dont speak Italian. But it's free with ticket to the Nuraghe. Nice church nearby.
A very unique museum with it's exhibition underneath an old mansion. Good English speaking guide.

A surprisingly interesting place that covers the story of the person responsible for discovering nurages in Sardegna. Worth visiting and listening to the tour Guide.
Fantastic guided tour, very interesting collection of various exhibits. Entry is included in price paid when visiting famous archeaological site nearby.
This is not the regular Museum place that you might expect to have, but it is a new construction which features mostly the reparation and excavation work of the person that discovered the archaeological site next to it. There is only a guided tour which covers mostly the history of the place and while I was visiting, there was an exhibition about the Chinese terracotta Army with some small ancient items. Overall, it is nice to visit since it is included from the Su Nuraxi. People should adjust their expectations as this is not something extravagant, but a nice and convenient way to showcase the history that Lilliu showed to the world.
Very nice museum with nice guide. Very clean and they had a beautiful exhibition of Pompeii. In the museum they have the story of Giovanni Lilliu, who he was and all he has accomplished.
You get a free ticket for this place after visiting Su Nuraxi. They tell you to wait a few minutes for the next guided tour to start. Once the guide arrives he just starts talking in Italian and keeps on going about everything in Italian... In our group of 10-12 people, maybe 1 or 2 were Italian... Everyone else was from other nationalities and we didn't understand what was being told. It just felt awkward and out of touch. There was never a question from the guide if we understood. If they give tours in both Italian and English in Su Nuraxi they should keep the same principle in this museum. Besides the language barrier, there's no A/C working in the corridors and galleries and you bake while listening to the guide. We wanted to rate this with a much higher score, since the collection seems interesting and the guides at the end of the day are doing their jobs, but until they correct this language issue we don't find it acceptable for a museum directly linked to a UNESCO world heritage site.
We came here after visiting Su Nuraxi a few minutes up the road (admission is included in the Su Nuraxi ticket). The only way to visit this museum is with a guide (the guide didn't understand my question asking how often tours run, but we caught the 1530h tour) and we spent about 30 minutes wandering around. It seems useless to have a guide since she barely said anything, but all the posted signs are in Italian (there is a book with English descriptions that you can carry with you for the fixed exhibit). The fixed exhibition is about Giovanni Lilliu's life and the discovery of Su Nuraxi. There was also an exhibit on gladiators (exhibit there only until December 31, 2023) which was the better of the two exhibits. Not worth it if it weren't included in the Su Nuraxi admission ticket already. Don't feel bad about skipping it if you're short on time.
Visit to the museum is included in the ticket to the Su Nuraxi di Barumini. We went on a free guided tour in Italian. Not sure whether there are tours in other languages. The guide was very knowledgeable. The visit takes about 45 minutes
An interesting museum space with artefacts and photos. Friendly staff, easy parking. Cafe on-site and gift shop. You HAVE to go on a guided tour, but she was lovely and kept swapping between English, French and Italian! Air con was lacking in some rooms, so bit warm at times to really appreciate what you were looking at.

Best pub in the Marmilla and probably in the province. Great choice of drinks and cocktails. Low prices and generous amount of complimentary snacks (olives, crisps, and nuts) served with drinks. Plenty of parking space. Quiet area. Interiors are carefully designed and the paintings welcome guests making them feel part of a vintage rock atmosphere.
Good selection of beers, spirits, bitters and coffee. It’s a music pub, they love music here. Very friendly! Outdoor seating on the piazza to catch the sun. Perfect.
Great place for a cold beer on a hot day. Friendly staff, great service and very cold beer. What more could you ask for you might ask? Good pizza right next door. My only suggestion? Chilled beer glasses!
Good vibe, friendly staff! Beer from the tap... :)
Good food. Cold beer.

(Translated by Google) I give 5 stars only for the presence of holy water in the church, something of immense value, the wooden door is a scandal, horrible. I don't know who could allow the original doors to be changed with this stuff. In any case, make sure you don't change the wonderful floor. I denounce the choices of those who, rather than preserving what in admirable perfection remains unchanged over the centuries, the heritage of posterity, rape it with unspeakable arrogance (Original) Do 5 stelle solo per la presenza della acqua santa in chiesa, cosa di valore immenso, la porta in legno è uno scandalo, orribile.
